1Fabricating antibacterial CoCrCuFeNi high-entropy alloy via selective laser melting and in-situ alloying显示文摘A quasi-equiatomic CoCrFeCuNi high-entropy alloy(HEA) with a broad-spectrum antibacterial ability and good mechanical properties has been fabricated by selective laser melting(SLM) and in-situ alloying of a blend of pre-alloyed CoCrFeNi powder and Cu elemental powder.The as-built HEA alloy has a homogeneous distribution of Cu and presents a single FCC phase.Compared with the same HEA fabricated using the traditional ingot metallurgy(IM) process,the HEA alloy fabricated by SLM releases more Cu ions to prevent growth and biofilm formation by gram-negative Escherichia coli and gram-positive Staphylococcus aureus,which enhances the applicability of the HEA alloy in potential applications that requires antibacterial ability.The results of this study confirm the feasibility of combining the antibacterial CoCrFeCuNi HEA alloy and SLM technology in fabricating complex shaped parts or structures with a strong antibacterial ability to be used in medical application or other environments desired for antibacterial ability.Jingbo Gao Yuting Jin Yongqiang Fan Dake Xu Lei Meng Cong Wang Yuanping Yu Deliang Zhang Fuhui Wang 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,7:4
2Os isotopic evidence for a carbonaceous chondritic mantle source for the Nagqu ophiolite from Tibet and its implications显示文摘Early-crystallizing chromian spinel(Cr-spinel) in the Nagqu ophiolite has high Os and low Re contents,and it is resistant to alteration during serpentinization,weathering and metamorphism.The chemical composition of primitive magma is preserved in Cr-spinel,which makes it suitable for determining the initial Os-isotope composition of the mantle source.This study presents Cr-spinel Os isotopes and zircon U-Pb ages for cumulate dunite and gabbro,respectively,in the same cumulate section of the ophiolite at Nagqu in Tibet.The results shed light on the formation and evolution of lithospheric mantle.The Nagqu ophiolite is located in the central part of the Bangong-Nujiang suture zone.It is a remnant of the Neotethyan oceanic crust,and contains cumulate dunite and gabbro.Zircon from the gabbro yielded a weighted mean 206 Pb/238 U age of 183.7±1 Ma.Cr-spinel exhibits Os values of 0.2 to 0.3,suggesting that the mantle source for the dunite is similar to that of carbonaceous chondrites.Thus,the Tibetan lithosphere is primarily a relic of Tethyan oceanic lithosphere,which has formed by the transformation of the normal asthenospheric mantle in the Mesozoic.This is the first study to combine the spinel Os isotopes with accurate zircon U-Pb ages to constrain the geochemical characteristics of the mantle source for the ophiolite.HUANG QiShuai SHI RenDeng LIU DeLiang ZHANG XiaoRan FAN ShuaiQuan DING Lin 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,1:3

4Effects of Northern Hemisphere Annular Mode on terrestrial near-surface wind speed over eastern China from 1979 to 2017显示文摘Large-scale ocean‒atmosphere circulations(LOACs)have a pronounced effect on the near-surface wind speed(NSWS).In this study,we discussed the contributions of zonal and meridional flows to NSWS changes and identify the possible association between the Northern Hemisphere Annular Mode(NAM)and the NSWS changes over eastern China from 1979 to 2017.Results show that the reduction in NSWS over eastern China was mainly dominated by the weakening of the zonal wind component.NAM has a considerable effect on the NSWS over eastern China.When the NAM exhibits positive phases,the zonal-mean westerly weakens at low-to-mid-latitudes(10°-40°N).Meanwhile,descending flows prevail near 40°N,and ascending flows persist near 65°N in the troposphere.In the lower troposphere,there are northerly anomalies at low-to-mid-latitudes and southerly anomalies at mid-to-high latitudes(40°-70°N).The anomalous meridional flows transport heat from low to high latitudes and weaken the north‒south air temperature gradient.The decreased air temperature gradient over East Asia reduces the pressure gradient near the surface,decreasing NSWS in eastern China.NAM variations could dominate(32.0±15.8)%of the changes in the annual mean NSWS.Nevertheless,the contribution of NAM to the interannual changes of the zonal component in NSWS could reach(45.0±12.9)%.Jin-Lin ZHA Cheng SHEN Jian WU De-Ming ZHAO Wen-Xuan FAN Hui-Ping JIANG Cesar AZORIN-MOLINA Deliang CHEN 2022Advances in Climate Change Research2022,13,6:0
53-5 An Experiment Setup for Synergetic Effect of Irradiation and LBE in IMP显示文摘Due to its unique properties, such as favorable neutronic characteristic, low melting point(~125 ?C) and highboiling point (> 1 600 ?C), good natural circulation and chemical inertness with water and air (unlike sodium), etc,lead bismuth eutectic (LBE) has been considered as perspective coolant and spallation target for accelerator drivensystems (ADS)[1;2]. The spallation structural materials of ADS will be long-term irradiated with fast neutrons whilesimultaneous being contact with LBE coolant. In the past few decades, irradiation or LBE corrosion behaviors invarious of materials have been massively investigated for the purpose of developing ADS. However, there are onlya few experiment data on the combined effect of irradiation and LBE corrosion on structural materials due to lackof related experimental setups[3;4]. 7Increased southerly and easterly water vapor transport contributed to the dry-to-wet transition of summer precipitation over the Three-River Headwaters in the Tibetan Plateau显示文摘The Three-River Headwaters(TRH)region in the Tibetan Plateau is vulnerable to climate change;changes in summer(June–August)precipitation have a significant impact on water security and sustainability in both local and downstream areas.However,the changes in summer precipitation of different intensities over the TRH region,along with their influencing factors,remain unclear.In this study,we used observational and ERA5 reanalysis data and employed a precipitation categorization and water vapor budget analysis to quantify the categorized precipitation variations and investigate their possible linkages with the water vapor budget.Our results showed an increasing trend in summer precipitation at a rate of 0.9 per year(p<0.1)during 1979–2020,with a significant dry-to-wet transition in 2002.The category‘very heavy precipitation’(10 mm d−1)contributed 65.1%of the increased summer precipitation,which occurred frequently in the northern TRH region.The dry-to-wet transition was caused by the effects of varied atmospheric circulations in each subregion.Southwesterly water vapor transport through the southern boundary was responsible for the increased net water vapor flux in the western TRH region(158.2%),while southeasterly water vapor transport through the eastern boundary was responsible for the increased net water vapor flux in the central TRH(155.2%)and eastern TRH(229.2%)regions.Therefore,we inferred that the dry-to-wet transition of summer precipitation and the increased‘very heavy precipitation’over the TRH was caused by increased easterly and southerly water vapor transport.Xuan LIU Ming-Xiang YANG Ning-Peng DONG Wei-Ning XIE Hong-Gang LI Zhen GUAN Fan WEN Hao WANG Deliang CHEN 2023Advances in Climate Change Research2023,14,4:0
8Assessment of Central Asian heat extremes by statistical downscaling:Validation and future projection for 2015-2100显示文摘Increasing heatwaves and extreme temperatures have recently been observed across Central Asia(CA).Accurately assessing and projecting the changing climate extremes at the local(station)scale required for climate risk management are therefore highly important.However,global and regional climate models often fail to represent the statistical distributions of observed daily extreme variables and hence extremes in complex terrain.In this work,we developed a statistical downscaling(SD)model to project summer daily maximum temperature(Tmax)and heatwave indices for 65 meteorological stations in CA toward 2100.The SD model involves first-order autoregression and multiple linear regression using large-scale Tmax and circulation indices(Cis)as predictors,and the model is cross-validated against historical observations.The local Tmax and heatwave indices are then projected for 2015-2100 driven by the output of a global climate model(CNRM-CM6-1)under four Shared Socioeconomic Pathways(SSP126,SSP245,SSP370,and SSP585).The application of the SD model significantly improves forecasting of the probability distribution(10th/90th percentiles)of Tmax at stations,particularly across mountainous regions.The model also captures interannual variability and the long-term trend in Tmax,consistent with synoptic-scale inputs.SD projections demonstrate strong warming trends of summer Tmax in CA toward 2100 with rates between 0.35-0.64℃ per decade based on the SSP245 and SSP370 seenarios.Consequently,heatwave occurrence is projected to rise by 1.0-5.0 and 2.0-7.0 d per decade under the SSP245 and SSP370 scenarios,respectively,by 2100.Duration,intensity,and amplitude of heatwaves rise at greater rates under higher-emission scenarios,particularly in southeastern CA.The proposed SD model serves as a useful tool for assessing local climate extremes,which are needed for regional risk management and policymaking for adaption to climate change.Li-Jun FAN Zhong-Wei YAN Deliang CHEN Zhen LI 2022Advances in Climate Change Research2022,13,1:0

10Assessment of total and extreme precipitation over central Asia via statistical downscaling: Added value and multi-model ensemble projection显示文摘Central Asia(CA)is highly sensitive and vulnerable to changes in precipitation due to global warming,so the projection of precipitation extremes is essential for local climate risk assessment.However,global and regional climate models often fail to reproduce the observed daily precipitation distribution and hence extremes,especially in areas with complex terrain.In this study,we proposed a statistical downscaling(SD)model based on quantile delta mapping to assess and project eight precipitation indices at 73 meteorological stations across CA driven by ERA5 reanalysis data and simulations of 10 global climate models(GCMs)for present and future(2081-2100)periods under two shared socioeconomic pathways(SSP245 and SSP585).The reanalysis data and raw GCM outputs clearly underestimate mean precipitation intensity(SDII)and maximum 1-day precipitation(RX1DAY)and overestimate the number of wet days(R1MM)and maximum consecutive wet days(CWD)at stations across CA.However,the SD model effectively reduces the biases and RMSEs of the modeled precipitation indices compared to the observations.Also it effectively adjusts the distributional biases in the downscaled daily precipitation and indices at the stations across CA.In addition,it is skilled in capturing the spatial patterns of the observed precipitation indices.Obviously,SDII and RX1DAY are improved by the SD model,especially in the southeastern mountainous area.Under the intermediate scenario(SSP245),our SD multi-model ensemble projections project significant and robust increases in SDII and total extreme precipitation(R95PTOT)of 0.5 mm d^(-1) and 19.7 mm,respectively,over CA at the end of the 21st century(2081-2100)compared to the present values(1995-2014).More pronounced increases in indices R95PTOT,SDII,number of very wet days(R10MM),and RX1DAY are projected under the higher emission scenario(SSP585),particularly in the mountainous southeastern region.The SD model suggested that SDII and RX1DAY will likely rise more rapidly than those projected by previous model simulations over CA during the period 2081-2100.The SD projection of the possible future changes in precipitation and extremes improves the knowledge base for local risk management and climate change adaptation in CA.Li-Jun FAN Zhong-Wei YAN Deliang CHEN Zhen LI 2023Advances in Climate Change Research2023,14,1:0
