1Disease profile and plasma neutralizing activity of postvaccination Omicron BA.1 infection in Tianjin,China:a retrospective study显示文摘Dear Editor,SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant BA.1 first emerged on the Chinese mainland on January 8,2022,in Tianjin and caused a large wave of infections.1 Four rounds of mass testing of its~14 million residents were launched on January 9,12,15,and 20,respectively.As of February 7,2022,a total of 430 individuals were tested positive for Omicron BA.1,with no new infections detected for the following 16 days.In the Chinese mainland,the most delivered vaccines are inactivated vaccines.As of January 8,2022,up to 93.2%of Tianjin’s residents had been vaccinated with at least one dose.2 We investigated the protection conferred by vaccination against Omicron BA.1 by examining the breakthrough infections among vaccinees as compared with unvaccinated cases.Our study population comprised all 430 cases during the outbreak of Omicron BA.1 in Tianjin.Hong Zheng Yunlong Cao Xiaosu Chen Fengmei Wang Ye Hu Weiliang Song Yangyang Chai Qingqing Gu Yansong Shi Yingmei Feng Shuxun Liu Yan Xie Xiaoliang Sunney Xie Wentao Jiang Zhongyang Shen 2022Cell Research2022,32,8:12
2Development and utilization of a new chemically-induced soybean library with a high mutation density显示文摘Mutagenized populations have provided important materials for introducing variation and identifying gene function in plants. In this study, an ethyl methanesulfonate(EMS)-induced soybean(Glycine max) population,consisting of 21,600 independent M_2 lines, was developed.Over 1,000 M_(4(5))families, with diverse abnormal phenotypes for seed composition, seed shape, plant morphology and maturity that are stably expressed across different environments and generations were identified. Phenotypic analysis of the population led to the identification of a yellow pigmentation mutant, gyl, that displayed significantly decreased chlorophyll(Chl) content and abnormal chloroplast development. Sequence analysis showed that gyl is allelic to Minn Gold, where a different single nucleotide polymorphism variation in the Mg-chelatase subunit gene(ChlI1a) results in golden yellow leaves. A cleaved amplified polymorphic sequence marker was developed and may be applied to marker-assisted selection for the golden yellow phenotype in soybean breeding. 4High energy and insensitive explosives based on energetic porous aromatic frameworks显示文摘The design and synthesis of energetic materials with a compatibility of high energy and insensitivity have always been the research fronts in military and civilian fields.Considering excellent performances of porous organic frameworks and the lack of research in the field of energetic materials,in this study,a new concept named energetic porous aromatic frameworks(EPAFs)is proposed.The strategy of coating high energy explosives such as 2,4,6,8,10,12-hexanitro-2,4,6,8,10,12-hexaazaisowurtzitane(CL-20)and 1,3,5,7-tetranitro-1,3,5,7-tetrazocane(HMX)in the EPAFs by wet-infiltration method has successfully realized the assembly of target energetic composite materials.The results show that the 75 wt.%CL-20@EPAF-1 possesses the safer impact sensitivity of 31.4 J than that of CL-20(4.0 J).Notably,for 75 wt.%CL-20@EPAF-1,in addition to the superior detonation performances of the detonation velocity(8,761 m·s^(-1))and detonation pressure(31.27 GPa),the synergistic effect of the nitrogen-rich EPAFs and the nitramines high energy explosives results in a higher heat of detonation that surpasses the most of pristine high explosives and reported novel energetic materials.In prospect,energetic porous aromatic frameworks could be a promising and inspiring strategy to build high energy insensitive energetic materials.Jian Song Yansong Shi YaoLu Qinghai Shu Yuyang Tian Fengchao Cui Xiaosong Duli Xijuan Lv Shaohua Jin Guangshan Zhu 2022Nano Research2022,15,2:1

6Designing energetic covalent organic frameworks for stabilizing high-energy compounds显示文摘As an emerging high-energy compound,3-nitro-1,2,4-triazol-5-one(NTO)is used in military explosives and rocket propellants.However,the strong acidic corrosion of NTO,and the high sensitivity and poor thermostability of its salts,severely restrict their practical applications.Therefore,a novel strategy to design and construct energetic covalent organic frameworks(COFs)is proposed in this study.We have successfully prepared a two-dimensional crystalline energetic COF(named ECOF-1)assembled from triaminoguanidine salt,in which NTO anions are trapped in the porous framework via the ionic interaction and hydrogen bonds.The results show that ECOF-1 exhibits superior thermal stability than energetic salt of NTO.It also exhibits insensitivity and excellent heat of detonation of 7,971.71 kJ·kg−1.ECOF-1 greatly inhibits the corrosiveness of NTO.In prospect,energetic COFs are promising as a functional platform to design high-energy and insensitive energetic materials.Yansong Shi Jian Song Fengchao Cui Xiaosong Duli Yuyang Tian Shaohua Jin Qinghai Shu Guangshan Zhu 2023Nano Research2023,16,1:0
7Innate immune imprints in SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant infection convalescents显示文摘SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant infection generally gives rise to asymptomatic to moderate COVID-19 in vaccinated people.The immune cells can be reprogrammed or“imprinted”by vaccination and infections to generate protective immunity against subsequent challenges.Considering the immune imprint in Omicron infection is unclear,here we delineate the innate immune landscape of human Omicron infection via single-cell RNA sequencing,surface proteome profiling,and plasma cytokine quantification.We found that monocyte responses predominated in immune imprints of Omicron convalescents,with IL-1β-associated and interferon(IFN)-responsive signatures with mild and moderate symptoms,respectively.Low-density neutrophils increased and exhibited IL-1β-associated and IFN-responsive signatures similarly.Mild convalescents had increased blood IL-1β,CCL4,IL-9 levels and PI3+neutrophils,indicating a bias to IL-1βresponsiveness,while moderate convalescents had increased blood CXCL10 and IFN-responsive monocytes,suggesting durative IFN responses.Therefore,IL-1β-or IFN-responsiveness of myeloid cells may indicate the disease severity of Omicron infection and mediate post-COVID conditions.Zhiqing Li Xiaosu Chen Junyan Dan Tianju Hu Ye Hu Shuxun Liu Yangyang Chai Yansong Shi Jian Wu Hailai Ni Jiaqi Zhu Yanfeng Wu Nan Li Yizhi Yu Zhongfang Wang Jincun Zhao Nanshan Zhong Xianwen Ren Zhongyang Shen Xuetao Cao 2022Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2022,7,12:0
8Anti-aging performance improvement and enhanced combustion efficiency of boron via the coating of PDA显示文摘Boron is an ambitious fuel in energetic materials since its high heat release values,but its application is prohibited by low combustion efficiency and oxidization during storage.The polydopamine(PDA)was introduced into boron particles,investigating the impact of PDA content on the energetic behavior of boron.The results indicated that the PDA coating formed a fishing net structure on the surface of boron particles.The heat release results showed that the combustion calorific value of B@PDA was higher than that of the raw boron.Specifically,the actual combustion heat of boron powder in B@10%PDA increased by 38.08%.Meanwhile,the DSC peak temperature decreased by 100.65℃under similar oxidation rate compared to raw boron.Simultaneously,the B@PDA@AP and B@AP composites were prepared,and their combustion properties were evaluated.It was demonstrated that B@10%PDA@AP exhibited superior performance in terms of peak pressure and burning time,respectively.The peak pressure is 12.43 kPa more than B@AP and burning time is 2.22 times higher than B@AP.Therefore,the coating of PDA effectively inhibits the oxidization of boron during storage and enhances the energetic behavior of boron and corresponding composites.Shuai Ma Qinghai Shu Mengyang Zhang Hongyu Huang Yansong Shi Xijuan Lv Shuai Zhao 2024Defence Technology(防务技术)2024,33,3:0
