Paleomagnetic data from Early Cretaceous volcanic rocks of West Liaoning:Evidence for intracontinental rotation显示文摘Detailed rock magnetic studies of 55 lavas from Yixian and Fuxin area, West Liaoning, show the primary carriers of remanence to be pseudo-single domain ti-tanomagnetite. K/Ar dating indicates that the volcanic sequence spans 93 to 133 Ma. Stepwise thermal demagnetization successfully isolated well-defined characteristic magnetization (ChRM) in all lavas thermal-treated above 250℃ The mean paleodirections are D/I=5.9°/58.8° (α95 = 2.9°) and D/I =179.2°/-59.9° (α95 = 5.2°) for 27 normally magnetized flows and 28 reversibly magnetized flows, respectively. It indicates that since the Early Cretaceous there is no significant horizontal movement and rotation between the Yixian-Fuxin area and Eurasia. However, Korea Peninsula may have undergone a clockwise rotation of 33.9° relative to the Yixian-Fuxin area during the Cretaceous. On the basis of characteristics of hotspot origins (core-mantle boundary or upper mantle), the clockwise rotation of Korea Peninsula relative to Eurasia is assumed to be | ZHU Rixiang SHAO Ji’an PAN Yongxin SHI Ruiping SHI Guanghai LI Darning | 2002 | Chinese Science Bulletin2002,47,21: | 31
3D-Printed Superhydrophobic and Magnetic Device That Can Self-Powered Sense A Tiny Droplet Impact显示文摘Three-dimensional(3D)-printed magnetic soft architectures have attracted extensive attention and research from the engineering and material fields. The force-driven shape deformation of such architectures causes a change in the magnetic field distribution, indicating the capability to convert mechanical energy to electricity.Herein,we fabricate a flexible superhydrophobic and magnetic device by integrating two kinds of 3D printing approaches. The 3D-printed magnetic device(3DMD)exhibits a long-term stable mechanoelectrical conversion capacity under consecutive water droplet dripping. The output current of the 3DMD is higher than that of records in the existing literature.Combined with Maxwell numerical simulation, the mechanoelectrical conversion mechanism of the 3DMD is investigated, further guiding regulation of the diverse parameters. Moreover, three 3DMDs are integrated to light up a commercial light-emitting diode(LED)by a stream of collected rainwater.Such a combined design incorporating energy conversion is believed to promisingly motive advances in the 3D printing field. | Xuan Zhang Qi Wang Ruiping Zou Bo Song Chunze Yan Yusheng Shi Bin Su | 2022 | Engineering2022,8,8: | 4

Paleomagnetic study on the Early Triassic red beds from Jiaocheng, Shanxi Province ——Local rotation and tectonic significance显示文摘Paleomagnetic and rock magnetic study has been conducted on the Early Triassicred beds of Liujiagou Formation from Jiaocheng, Shanxi Province. Hematite was shown as themain magnetic mineral. After eradicating an initial viscous component at room temperature to~100℃-200℃, thermal demagnetization shows that most samples contain two remanencecomponents, intermediate-temperature remanence component at 250℃-500℃ and high-tem-perature component at 500℃-680℃. The intermediate-temperature component has a negativefold test at the 95% confidence level. And the pole position of the intermediate-temperaturecomponent in geographic coordinates is correlated with the Middle Jurassic reference pole of theNorth China Block (NCB) within the 95% confidence, suggesting that it might be a remagnetiza-tion component acquired during the Yanshanian period. The high-temperature component con-tains both reversal and normal polarities with positive fold test and C-level positive reversal test atthe 95% confidence level, which suggests that this high-temperature component can be regardedas primary magnetization. Comparison of this newly obtained Early Triassic paleopole with thecoeval mean pole of the Ordos Basin suggests that a locally relative rotation may have happenedbetween the Ordos and the Jiaocheng area of Shanxi Province. This rotation may be related withtwo faults: one is Lishi big fault separating Ordos from Shanxi and the other is Jiaocheng big fault, which is situated in the southeast of sampling locality and was still in motion during the Cenozoic. | SHI Ruiping HUANG Baochun ZHU Rixiang REN Shoumai | 2004 | Science China Earth Sciences2004,47,2: | 2

An Old Story Retold: Loss of G1 Control Defines A Distinct Genomic Subtype of Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma显示文摘Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC) has a high mortality rate. To determine the molecular basis of ESCC development, this study sought to identify characteristic genome-wide alterations in ESCC, including exonic mutations and structural alterations. The clinical implications of these genetic alterations were also analyzed. Exome sequencing and verification were performed for nine pairs of ESCC and the matched blood samples, followed by validation with additional samples using Sanger sequencing. Whole-genome SNP arrays were employed to detect copy number alteration(CNA) and loss of heterozygosity(LOH) in 55 cases, including the nine ESCC samples subjected to exome sequencing. A total of 108 non-synonymous somatic mutations(NSSMs) in102 genes were verified in nine patients. The chromatin modification process was found to be enriched in our gene ontology(GO) analysis. Tumor genomes with TP53 mutations were significantly more unstable than those without TP53 mutations. In terms of the landscape of genomic alterations, deletion of 9p21.3 covering CDKN2A/2B(30.9%), amplification of 11q13.3 covering CCND1(30.9%), and TP53 point mutation(50.9%) occurred in two-thirds of the cases. These results suggest that the deregulation of the G1 phase during the cell cycle is a key event in ESCC.Furthermore, six minimal common regions were found to be significantly altered in ESCC samples and three of them, 9p21.3, 7p11.2, and 3p12.1, were associated with lymph node metastasis. With the high correlation of TP53 mutation and genomic instability in ESCC, the amplification of CCND1, the deletion of CDKN2A/2B, and the somatic mutation of TP53 appear to play pivotal roles via G1 deregulation and therefore helps to classify this cancer into different genomic subtypes. These findings provide clinical significance that could be useful in future molecular diagnoses and therapeutic targeting. | Qiyan Wang Jian Bai Amir Abliz Ying Liu Kenan Gong Jingjing Li Wenjie Shi Yaqi Pan Fangfang Liu Shujuan Lai Haijun Yang Changdong Lu Lixin Zhang Wei Chen Ruiping Xu Hong Cai Yang Ke Changqing Zeng | 2015 | Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2015,13,4: | 1
Structural, electronic, and optical absorption properties of TiO_2 nanotube adsorbed with Cu_n clusters显示文摘The structural, electronic, and optical absorption properties of TiO2 nanotube(TiO2NT)with Cun clusters(n=1–4)adsorbed on its surface have been investigated based on density functional theory calculations. The TiO2NT is constructed by rolling up a(101)sheet of anatase TiO2 around the[1 01]direction;the ground states of Cun/TiO2NT systems are determined by analyzing the average adsorption energies.Calculation results show that odd-even oscillations occur for the average adsorption energy, the Cu–O bond length, and the amount of transferred electrons, with the increase in Cun cluster size;and the Cun/TiO2NTs with odd n’s demonstrate stronger interaction between the Cun cluster and the TiO2NT.Also,the impurity states introduced by the Cun cluster to the band gap of TiO2NT cause an obvious redshift of the optical absorption spectrum toward the visible light region, especially for the even n cases. | GAO YanLin LI XiuYan SHI XiaoFeng YANG Zhi XU LiChun LIU RuiPing | 2014 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2014,57,8: | 1
Development of a vivo rabbit ligated intestinal Loop Model for HCMV infection显示文摘Background: Human Cytomegalovirus(HCMV) infections can be found throughout the body, especially in epithelial tissue. Animal model was established by inoculation of HCMV(strain AD-169) or coinoculation with Hepatitis E virus(HEV) into the ligated sacculus rotundus and vermiform appendix in living rabbits. The specimens were collected from animals sacrificed 1 and a half hours after infection. Results: The virus was found to be capable of reproducing in these specimens through RT-PCR and Western-blot.Severe inflammation damage was found in HCMV-infected tissue. The viral protein could be detected in high amounts in the mucosal epithelium and lamina propria by immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescense. Moreover, there are strong positive signals in lymphocytes, macrophages, and lymphoid follicles. Quantitative statistics indicate that lymphocytes among epithlium cells increased significantly in viral infection groups. Conclusions: The results showed that HCMV or HEV + HCMV can efficiently infect in rabbits by vivo ligated intestine loop inoculation. The present study successfully developed an infective model in vivo rabbit ligated intestinal Loop for HCMV pathogenesis study. This rabbit model can be helpful for understanding modulation of the gut immune system with HCMV infection. | Jin Tang Qiaoxing Wu Xinming Tang Ruihan Shi Jingxia Suo Guangping Huang Junqing An Jingyuan Wang Jinling Yang Wenzhuo Hao Ruiping She Xun Suo | 2017 | Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2017,8,3: | 0
Preparation of tanshinone Ⅱ_(A) self-soluble microneedles and its inhibition on proliferation of human skin fibroblasts显示文摘Objective:Hypertrophic scars(HS)are a variety of skin tissue fibrosis disease that occurs in human skin, the effective therapeutic method of which is still inaccessible up to now.As a bioactive constituent of a well-known medical plant,Salvia miltiorrhiza(Danshen in Chinese),tanshinone Ⅱ_(A)(TSA)is reported to inhibit cell proliferation in HS.Therefore, the aim of this study was to prepare TSA self-soluble microneedles to strengthen its dermal retention and break through the difficulty of significantly thickening epidermal connective tissue and stratum corneum at the HS site. The possible mechanism of action in suppressing HS was studied using human skin fibroblasts(HSF).Methods:Tanshinone Ⅱ_(A) self-dissolving microneedles(TSA-MN)was prepared using a negative mold casting method. The prescription process of microneedle was optimized by Box-Behnken effect surface method.Different media were selected to investigate the ability of transdermal absorption and in vitro release.Furthermore, according to Cell Counting Kit-8(CCK8)method as well as the Western blot method, the effect of TSA-MN on the biological characteristics of HSF was investigated. Results:With remarkable slow release effect and dermal retention, the release and transdermal properties of TSA-MN in vitro were better than both TSA and ordinary dosage forms. Its effect of HSF confirmed the essential decrease in cell motility during cell proliferation and cell migration in vitro, which plays a significant role in down-regulating the secretion of transforming growth factor-β1(TGF-β1)in HSF and increasing the expression level of Smad7.Conclusion:The prepared TSA self-soluble microneedles is helpful in solving the problem of hypertrophic scars, with a stable dermal retention effect after process optimization. | Yanshan Zhan Xiaoqi Xu Xi Luo Ruiping Liu Yujian Lin Ping Zhao Jun Shi | 2023 | Chinese Herbal Medicines2023,15,2: | 0
Spatiotemporally resolved metabolomics and isotope tracing reveal CNS drug targets显示文摘Deconvolution of potential drug targets of the central nervous system(CNS)is particularly challenging because of the complicated structure and function of the brain. Here,a spatiotemporally resolved metabolomics and isotope tracing strategy was proposed and demonstrated to be powerful for deconvoluting and localizing potential targets of CNS drugs by using ambient mass spectrometry imaging. This strategy can map various substances including exogenous drugs, isotopically labeled metabolites, and various types of endogenous metabolites in the brain tissue sections to illustrate their microregional distribution pattern in the brain and locate drug action-related metabolic nodes and pathways. The strategy revealed that the sedative-hypnotic drug candidate YZG-331 was prominently distributed in the pineal gland and entered the thalamus and hypothalamus in relatively small amounts, and can increase glutamate decarboxylase activity to elevateγ-aminobutyric acid(GABA)levels in the hypothalamus, agonize organic cation transporter 3 to release extracellular histamine into peripheral circulation. These findings emphasize the promising capability of spatiotemporally resolved metabolomics and isotope tracing to help elucidate the multiple targets and the mechanisms of action of CNS drugs. | Bo Jin Xuechao Pang Qingce Zang Man Ga Jing Xu Zhigang Luo Ruiping Zhang Jiangong Shi Jiuming He Zeper Abliz | 2023 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,4: | 0
