1Determination of U-Pb age and rare earth element concentrations of zircons from Cenozoic intrusions in northeastern China by laser ablation ICP-MS显示文摘Using the in situ zircon U-Pb dating method of LA-ICPMS, we analyzed the 31 Ma old SHRIMP U-Pb age of the Yongsheng nepheline syenite from southern Jilin Province under different spot sizes. The obtained ages are comparable with that of SHRIMP in both accuracy and precision. The age is also identical to that of the Yinmawanshan gabbro from the Liaodong Peninsula within error. Both the Yongsheng nepheline syenite and the Yinmawanshan gabbro represent the youngest known exposed intrusions in northeastern and even eastern China. The results indicate the Eocene mantle-derived magmatic underplating, and the rapid crustal uplifting of this region since 30 Ma. 2Emplacement age of the post-orogenic A-type granites in Northwestern Lesser Xing'an Ranges, and its relationship to the eastward extension of Suo-lushan-Hegenshan-Zhalaite collisional suture zone显示文摘A great amount of alkali-feldspar and alkaline granites have been found around Nenjiang, Northwest Lesser Xing’an Ranges, but their forming ages have been a controversial subject due to the lack of reliable geological and isotopic geochronological evidence. The zircon U-Pb isotopic dating results conducted in this note indicate that these granites emplaced at 260-290 Ma, coeval with the late stage of Late Paleozoic. Studies of mineralogy, petrology andgeochemistry show that they are post-orogenic A-type granites, and consist of the northeastern extension of huge belt of Late Paleozoic A-type granite along North Xinjiang-Southeast Mongolia-Central Inner Mongolia. 3Zircon U-Pb ages of the basement rocks beneath the Songliao Basin,NE China显示文摘The basement of the Songliao Basin is mainly composed of slightly-metamorphosed or unmetamorphosed Paleozoic strata, granites and gneiss. Petrographical studies indicate that the gneiss was originally the granitic intrusions which were deformed in the later stage. One undeformed granitic rock sample gives a U-Pb age of (305+++++++++++2) Ma, and the mylonitic granite yields a U-Pb age of (165++++++++3) Ma. 4Origin of C type adakite magmas in the NE Xing'an block, NE China and tectonic implication显示文摘In this paper, we report new whole-rock geochemical and zircon U–Pb data for monzogranites in the NE Xing'an block. These data constrained the petrogenesis of C type(high Sr/Y) adakitic rocks and showed the spatial extent of the influence of the Mongol-Okhostsk ocean tectonic regime and the collision between the Jiamusi Massif and Songliao Terrane. New zircon laser-ablation inductivity coupled plasma mass spectrometry(LA-ICP-MS) U–Pb data indicated that the monzogranites in the studied area were emplaced in the Early Jurassic(~180 Ma). These rocks were characterized by unusally high SiO_2(C67.49), and Sr(461–759 ppm), but strikingly low Y(4.63–8.06 ppm) and HREE(P HREE = 3.83–6.49 ppm, Yb = 0.5–0.77 ppm)contents, with therefore high Sr/Y(67.2–119) and(La/Yb)N(29.7–41.5) ratios, showing the geochemical characteristics of C type adakitic granite. The data displayed negligible Eu anomalies(Eu/Eu~ = 0.77–1.08), LREE-enriched and pronounced negative Nb and Ta anomalies. The C-typeadakites in the studied area were most likely derived from the partial melting of a thickened lower continental curst. The magma source is most likely dominated by amphibolites and garnet amphibolites. 5SHRIMP U-Pb zircon age of the youngest exposed pluton in eastern China显示文摘Analysis using the Sensitive High Resolution Ion Microprobe (SHRIMP) shows that the Yongsheng pluton, located to the south of Huadian County, Jilin Province, in the North China Craton, has a zircon U-Pb isotopic emplacement age of (31.6±1.3) Ma. It is therefore the youngest exposed pluton so far recognized in eastern China. Although geochemical data indicate intensive crystal fractionation, the Sr-Nd isotopic features suggest that the magmatic source region of the lithospheric mantle was weakly depleted. This implies that the previous enriched lithospheric mantle had been replaced by juvenile asthenospheric mantle before or during the Palaeogene. 10Comparative analysis of transcriptomes from albino and control sea cucumbers, Apostichopus japonicus显示文摘The sea cucumber Apostichopus japonicus is an important economic species in China. Its dorsal body wall color is commonly tawny, whereas its ventral surface is fawn. Albino sea cucumbers are rarely observed. In order to profile gene expression and screen albinism-related genes, we compared the transcriptome of albino samples with a control by 454 cDNA sequencing. We found that 6 539 identified genes on the basis of sequence similarity to known genes were expressed in the albino A. japonicus. The gene ontology analysis indicated that the transcription of genes associated with the terms of biological regulation and pigmentation was non-abundant in the albino library compared to the control. Based on an analysis using the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomics(KEGG) database, we identified 14 important genes that were involved in major intercellular signaling pathways related to melanin synthesis, such as tyrosine metabolism, the mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK) pathway, and melanogenesis. The expressions of fibroblast growth factor receptor 4(FGFR4), protein kinase C(PKC), protein kinase A(PKA), and Ras genes were significantly down-regulated in the albino transcriptome compared with the control, while the expressions of homogentisate 1, 2-dioxygenase gene(HGO), cAMP-responsive element binding protein(CREB), transcription factor AP-1(c-jun), and calmodulin(CaM) were significantly up-regulated(Fisher's exact test, p < 0.05). 11Age and geochemistry of Early Ordovician A-type granites in the Northeastern Songnen Block,NE China显示文摘Early Ordovician A-type granites in the northeastern(NE) Songnen Block NE China were studied to better understand the geodynamic settings in this region.This research presents new zircon U–Pb ages and wholerock geochemical data for the Early Ordovician granites in the NE Songnen Block. Zircon U–Pb dating indicates that the granite in the Cuibei, Hongxing, and Meixi areas in the NE Songnen Block formed in the Early Ordovician with ages of 471–479 Ma. The granites show geochemical characteristics of high SiO2 and K2 O compositions and low FeOT, MgO, CaO, and P2 O5 compositions. They belong to a high K calc-alkaline series and display a weak peraluminous featurPe with A/CNK values of 0.98–1.14. The rocks have aREE composition of 249.98–423.94 ppm,and are enriched in LREE with(La/Yb)Nvalues of2.87–9.87, and display obvious Eu anomalies(d Eu =0.01–0.29). Trace elements of the studied granites are characterized by enrichment in Rb, Th, U, Pb, Hf, and Sm,and depletion of Ba, Nb, Ta, and Sr. They display geochemical features of high Zr +Y + Nb+Ce values(324–795 ppm) and Ga/Al ratios consistent with A-type granites. Based on particular geochemical features, such as high Rb/Nb(7.98–24.19) and Y/Nb(1.07–3.43), the studied A-type granites can be further classified as an A2-type subgroup. This research indicates that the Early Ordovician A-type granites were formed by the partial melting of ancient crust in an extensional setting. Lower Sr/Y and(Ho/Yb)Nratios indicate that plagioclase and amphibole are residual in the source, and garnet is absent, implying that the magma was generated at low levels of pressure. By contrast, the contemporaneous granites in the SE Xing'an Block suggest a subduction-related tectonic setting, and its adakitic property indicates a thickened continental crust.We suggest that the Paleo-Asian Ocean plate between the Xing'an and Songnen blocks subducted northward during the Early Ordovician.
