1Exosome and Exosomal MicroRNA: Trafficking, Sorting, and Function显示文摘Exosomes are 40–100 nm nano-sized vesicles that are released from many cell types into the extracellular space. Such vesicles are widely distributed in various body fluids. Recently,m RNAs and micro RNAs(mi RNAs) have been identified in exosomes, which can be taken up by neighboring or distant cells and subsequently modulate recipient cells. This suggests an active sorting mechanism of exosomal mi RNAs, since the mi RNA profiles of exosomes may differ from those of the parent cells. Exosomal mi RNAs play an important role in disease progression, and can stimulate angiogenesis and facilitate metastasis in cancers. 2Antigenic variation of the human influenza A(H3N2) virus during the 2014–2015 winter season显示文摘The human influenza A(H3N2) virus dominated the 2014–2015 winter season in many countries and caused massive morbidity and mortality because of its antigenic variation. So far, very little is known about the antigenic patterns of the recent H3N2 virus. By systematically mapping the antigenic relationships of H3N2 strains isolat ed since 2010, we discov ered that two groups with obvious antigenic divergence, named SW13(A/Switzerland/9715293/2013-like strains) and HK14(A/Hong Kong/5738/2014-like strains), co-circulated during the 2014–2015 winter season. HK14 group co-circulated with SW13 in Europe and the United States during this season, while there were few strains of HK14 in China's Mainland, where SW13 has dominated since 2012. Furthermore, we found that substitutions near the receptor-binding site on hemagglutinin played an important role in the antigenic variation of both the groups. 3Computational analysis of antigenic epitopes of avian influenza A (H7N9) viruses显示文摘Influenza virus can rapidly change its antigenicity, via mutation in the hemagglutinin(HA) protein, to evade host immunity. The emergence of the novel human-infecting avian H7N9 virus in China has caused widespread concern. However, evolution of the antigenicity of this virus is not well understood. Here, we inferred the antigenic epitopes of the HA protein from all H7 viruses, based on the five well-characterized HA epitopes of the human H3N2 virus. By comparing the two major H7 phylogenetic lineages, i.e., the Eurasian lineage and the North American lineage, we found that epitopes A and B are more frequently mutated in the Eurasian lineage, while epitopes B and C are more frequently mutated in the North American lineage. Furthermore, we found that the novel H7N9 virus(derived from the Eurasian lineage) isolated in China in the year 2013, contains six frequently mutated sites on epitopes that include site 135, which is located in the receptor binding domain. This indicates that the novel H7N9 virus that infects human may already have been subjected to gradual immune pressure and receptor-binding variation. 8Low Ca diet leads to increased Ca retention by changing the gut flora and ileal pH value in laying hens显示文摘Osteoporosis is a common degenerative metabolic bone disease in caged laying hens.Intensive egg production mobilizing large amounts of Ca from bone for eggshell formation,consequently leading to Ca deficiency,has been recognized as a critical factor causing osteoporosis in commercial laying hens.The aim of this study was to examine the effect of Ca deficiency on the function of the gut microbiotaebone axis and related egg production traits and bone health in laying hens.Twenty-four 48-week-old laying hens were fed a control diet(Control,3.72%)or a low Ca diet(LC,2.04%)for 60 d(n=12).Compared to the Control hens,the LC hens had higher levels of alkaline phosphatase and tartrate resistant acid phosphatase(P<0.05)with lower bone strength,eggshell thickness,and eggshell strength(P<0.05).In addition,the LC hens had higher plasma estradiol concentrations,while having lower concentrations of interleukin-1(IL-1)and IL-6.The LC hens also had a lower pH value in the ileum with an increased Ca retention.The principal co-ordinates analysis showed significantly separate cecal microbiota populations between the Control and LC hens.The Prevotellaceae_UCG-001,Subdoligranulum,Peptococcus,and Eubacterium_hallii_group(P<0.05)were higher,while the CHKC1001 and Sutterella(P<0.05)were lower at the genus level in the LC hens.In addition,Prevotellaceae_UCG-001,Subdoligranulum and Eubacter-ium_hallii_group had a negative correlation,while Sutterella was positively correlated with ileal pH values.The transcriptome analysis revealed that the low Ca diet caused 20 and 31 genes to be signifi-cantly up-and down-regulated,respectively.The gene expressions of cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator,solute carrier family 26 member 3 of the anion exchangers,and mitogen-activated protein kinase 12 of pro-inflammatory factors were lower in the LC birds,which was corre-lated with the lower ileal pH values.These results suggest that the hens with low Ca diet-induced osteoporosis have an increased intestinal Ca retention with a decreased ileal pH value,correlated with the changes in Prevotellaceae_UCG-001,Subdoligranulum,and Eubacterium_hallii_group of beneficial genera.The results provide insights for further understanding and preventing osteoporosis in laying hens.Sha Jiang Xinyu Zou Miao Mao Mi Zhang Wenjun Tu Meilan Jin 2023Animal Nutrition2023,,2:1

11RF design of 650-MHz 2-cell cavity for CEPC显示文摘In order to meet the requirements of the Circular Electron Positron Collider(CEPC),a 650-MHz 2-cell superconducting cavity was proposed and designed.In this study,we show the progress in the cavity design for the CEPC.The radio frequency and mechanical designs are ready for the first design version,called CEPC-V1.A cryomodule,which consists of two 650-MHz 2-cell cavities,was scheduled the last year.Therefore,prototypes of the 2-cell cavity based on this design were fabricated and tested the following year.The vertical test results show that multipacting(MP)exists from 10 to 19 MV/m.This will increase the operational risk of the CEPC,while the continuous-wave operation for the 650-MHz cavity is 19.7 MV/m.Two trapped modes were also found,which exist because of the identical half-cell design.Therefore,a few improvements regarding MP and more efficient extraction of higher-order mode power are discussed.A new type of cavity design,called CEPC-V2,is also discussed in this paper.Hong-Juan Zheng Jie Gao Ji-Yuan Zhai Peng Sha Fei-Si He Zhong-Quan Li Song Jin Zheng-Hui Mi Jian-Kui Hao 2019Nuclear Science and Techniques2019,30,10:1

13Full-Scale Isogeometric Topology Optimization of Cellular Structures Based on Kirchhoff-Love Shells显示文摘Cellular thin-shell structures are widely applied in ultralightweight designs due to their high bearing capacity and strength-to-weight ratio.In this paper,a full-scale isogeometric topology optimization(ITO)method based on Kirchhoff-Love shells for designing cellular tshin-shell structures with excellent damage tolerance ability is proposed.This method utilizes high-order continuous nonuniform rational B-splines(NURBS)as basis functions for Kirchhoff-Love shell elements.The geometric and analysis models of thin shells are unified by isogeometric analysis(IGA)to avoid geometric approximation error and improve computational accuracy.The topological configurations of thin-shell structures are described by constructing the effective density field on the controlmesh.Local volume constraints are imposed in the proximity of each control point to obtain bone-like cellular structures.To facilitate numerical implementation,the p-norm function is used to aggregate local volume constraints into an equivalent global constraint.Several numerical examples are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.After simulation and comparative analysis,the results indicate that the cellular thin-shell structures optimized by the proposed method exhibit great load-carrying behavior and high damage robustness.Mingzhe Huang Mi Xiao Liang Gao Mian Zhou Wei Sha Jinhao Zhang 2024Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2024,139,6:0
14Grain dehydration rate is related to post-silking thermal time and ear characters in different maize hybrids显示文摘Mechanized grain harvest of maize becomes increasingly important with growing land plot size in Northeast China. Grain moisture is an important factor affecting the performance of mechanized grain harvest. However, it remains unclear what influences grain dehydration rate. In this study, maize grain dehydrating process was investigated in a two-year field experiment with five hybrids under two planting densities in 2017 and 2018. It was found that damaged-grain ratio was the main factor affecting mechanized harvest quality, and this ratio was positively correlated with grain moisture content at harvest(R^(2)=0.6372, P<0.01). To fulfill the national standard of <5% damaged-grain ratio for mechanized grain harvest, the optimal maize grain moisture content was 22.3%. From silking to physiological maturity, grain dehydrating process was mostly dependent on the thermal time(growing degree days, GDDs)(r=-0.9412, P<0.01). The average grain moisture content at physiological maturity was 29.4%. Thereafter, the linear relationship between GDDs and grain moisture still existed, but the correlation coefficient became smaller(r=-0.8267, P<0.01). At this stage, grain dehydrating process was greatly affected by genotypes. Grain dehydrated faster when a hybrid has a smaller husk area(r=0.6591, P<0.05), larger ear angle(r=-0.7582, P<0.05), longer ear peduncle(r=-0.9356, P<0.01) and finer ear(r=0.9369, P<0.01). 15Topology-optimized thermal metamaterials traversing full-parameter anisotropic space显示文摘It is widely adopted in thermal metamaterials that mixing different materials could conveniently result in effective thermal conductivities(ETCs)beyond naturally-occurring materials.When multiple materials are isotropically mixed,the ETC is a direct average governed by their filling fractions and given bulk conductivities.That could lead to an inhomogeneous and anisotropic value within the maximal and minimal thermal conductivities of constituent materials.Usually thermal metadevices rely on anisotropic thermal conductivity tensor,whose tensorial elements are frequently inter-dependent and confined within a limited parametric space.It is thus nontrivial to establish a design recipe for advanced thermal metamaterials whose ETCs could cover full-parameter anisotropic space.We demonstrate topological functional cells(TFCs)with copper and polydimethylsiloxane,and show that the anisotropic ETCs traverse their full-parameter space.Such robust scheme based on topology-optimized TFCs unlocks unexplored opportunities for functional thermal metadevices whose parameters may not be reached in previous mixing approaches.This study also sheds light on the developments in emerging acoustic,mechanical and electromagnetic composite materials.Wei Sha Run Hu Mi Xiao Sheng Chu Zhan Zhu Cheng-Wei Qiu Liang Gao 2022npj Computational Materials2022,,1:0

17The application of digital technology in BEPCII RF system显示文摘Background The Beijing Electron Positron Collider(BEPCII)is a high-brightness collider and operates in compatible mode of synchronous light source.This summer,BEPCII spare cavity,which was all made in China,had been put into BEPCII operation,and the LLRF system for the spare cavity was also upgraded at the time.Purpose The purpose is to stably control the amplitude and phase of the spare cavity and apply digital technology to achieve some intelligent functions.Methods The digital method is applied in the superconducting cavity feedback control of the accelerator and it introduces the digital technology of the RF low-level control system that has been stably applied to the BEPCII spare cavity operation.In addition,some functions such as quench detector and input protection as well as horizontal test have been realized in the RF system operation.Results The amplitude and phase stabilities of cavity voltage with beam in the digital LLRF have reached±0.09%(RMS)and±0.055°(RMS),respectively.Conclusion The BEPCII spare cavity with digital LLRF system has been stably operated for 2 months.The DLLRF system has been reliable and stable,and the performance of the spare cavity with beam was very good.Mu-Yuan Wang Yi Sun Guang-Wei Wang Wei-Min Pan Hai-Ying Lin Qun-Yao Wang Qiang Ma Zhong-Quan Li Jian-Ping Dai Peng Sha Zheng-Hui Mi Hong-Lei Wang Dan-Yang Zhao 2018Radiation Detection Technology and Methods2018,2,1:0
