1An optimized industry processing technology of peanut tofu and the novel prediction model for suitable peanut varieties显示文摘Peanut protein is easily digested and absorbed by the human body,and peanut tofu does not contain flatulence factors and beany flour.However,at present,there is no industrial preparation process of peanut tofu,whereas the quality of tofu prepared by different peanut varieties is quite different.This study established an industrial feasible production process of peanut tofu and optimized the key process that regulates its quality.Compared with the existing method,the production time is reduced by 53.80%,therefore the daily production output is increased by 183.33%.The chemical properties of 26 peanut varieties and the quality characteristics of tofu prepared from these 26 varieties were determined.The peanut varieties were classified based on the quality characteristics of tofu using the hierarchical cluster analysis(HCA)method,out of which 7 varieties were screened out which were suitable for preparing peanut tofu.An evaluation standard was founded based on peanut tofu qualities.Six chemical trait indexes were correlated with peanut tofu qualities(P<0.05).A logistic regressive model was developed to predict suitable peanut varieties and this prediction model was verified.This study may help broaden the peanut protein utilization,and provide guidance for breeding experts to select certain varieties for product specific cultivation of peanut.CHEN Bing-yu LI Qi-zhai HU Hui MENG Shi Faisal SHAH WANG Qiang LIU Hong-zhi 2020Journal of Integrative Agriculture2020,19,9:5
2Development of multi-physics numerical simulation model to investigate thermo-mechanical fatigue crack propagation in an autofrettaged gun barrel显示文摘In this research,a detailed multi-physics study has been carried out by numerically simulating a solid fractured gun barrel for 20 thermo-mechanical cycles.The numerical model is based on thermal effects,mechanical stress fields and fatigue crack mechanics.Elastic-plastic material data of modified AISI 4340 at temperatures ranging from 25 to 1200℃and at strain rates of 4,16,32 and 48 s^(-1) was acquired from high-temperature compression tests.This was used as material property data in the simulation model.The boundary conditions applied are kept similar to the working gun barrel during continuous firing.A methodology has been provided to define thermo-mechanically active surface-to-surface type interface between the crack faces for a better approximation of stresses at the crack tip.Comparison of results from non-autofrettaged and autofrettaged simulation models provide useful information about the evolution of strains and stresses in the barrel at different points under combined thermo-mechanical loading cycles in both cases.The effect of thermal fatigue under already induced compressive yield due to autofrettage and the progressive degradation of the accumulated stresses due to thermo-mechanical cyclic loads on the internal surface of the gun barrel(mimicking the continuous firing scenario)has been analyzed.Comparison between energy release rate at tips of varying crack lengths due to cyclic thermo-mechanical loading in the non-autofrettaged and autofrettaged gun has been carried out.Naveed Hussain Faisal Qayyum Riffat Asim Pasha Masood Shah 2021Defence Technology(防务技术)2021,17,5:2

4Nitrate application affects root morphology by altering hormonal status and gene expression patterns in B9 apple rootstock nursery plants显示文摘Lateral roots(LRs)are critical for absorbing water,minerals,and nutrients.Nitrate is a vital signaling molecule for regulating LR growth.However,understanding how nitrate interacts with endogenous hormones and genes to coordinate LR development is a bottleneck.In this study,B9 apple rootstock nursery plants were cultured hydroponically and treated with different nitrate treatments(Control;T1,2.25 mM L^(−1);T2,9 mM L^(−1);T3,18 mM L^(−1);T4,36 mM L^(−1);and T5,72 mM L^(−1)),where T5 outperformed the other treatments.Nursery plants were subsequently treated with control and T5 to explore the underlying physiological and molecular mechanisms by which nitrate promoted LR growth.Plant height,stem diameter,root morphological parameters,endogenous hormones,and gene expression levels were measured.Results showed that T5 promoted LR growth by increasing the endogenous contents of indole-3-acetic acid(IAA)and gibberellic acid(GA),and by decreasing the contents of abscisic acid(ABA),jasmonic acid(JA),and zeatin riboside(ZR)at most time points.Furthermore,the relative expression levels of nitrate transporter genes were upregulated in the control group,and nitrate assimilation genes were upregulated in T5 nursery plants at various time points.In addition,the transcript abundances of auxin-related genes were higher in T5 nursery plants,which increased auxin contents.MdSHR,MdGATA1,and MdSCR1 expressions were induced,hence increasing LR growth.In contrast,higher auxin content raised MdWOX11 expression,which enhanced the MdLBD16 and MdLBD29 expression levels,thus prompting the transcripts of cell cycle-related genes:MdCYCD1;1 and MdCYCP4;1.Overall,the changes in hormonal content and gene expression levels followed superior LR growth by T5.Muhammad Mobeen Tahir Xiaoyun Zhang Kamran Shah Faisal Hayat Shaohuan Li Jiangping Mao ke Li Yu Liu Yun Shao Dong Zhang 2021Fruit Research2021,1,1:1
5Interrelationships between Deformation and Metamorphic Events across the Western Hinterland Zone, NW Pakistan显示文摘Microscopic to mesoscopic structural investigations and foliation intersection axes(FIAs) preserved in porphyroblasts reveal a very complex history of deformation and tectonism within the southwestern part of the western hinterland zone along the northern margin of the Indian plate, NW Pakistan. D_1, D_2, and D_3 related structures in the southwestern part resemble the F_1/F_2, F_3, and F_4 related structures in the northeastern part of the western hinterland zone. These structures developed at the same time through the same changes in the direction of bulk shortening in southwestern and northeastern parts of the western hinterland zone. FIA set 1 indicates NW-SE shortening. The D_2 fabrics, mineral lineations and fold axes indicate E-W shortening. FIA set 2, D_3 fold axes and mineral lineations indicate NNE-SSW shortening. D_3 deformation event is equivalent to the F_4 deformation event in the northeastern part of the western hinterland zone. D_4 fold axes, mineral stretching lineations and axial plane foliation suggest ENE-WSW shortening. 8根系分隔方式下花魔芋转录组分析显示文摘了解与刺槐不同根系分隔方式下的花魔芋生物学过程及代谢通路,为间作花魔芋根系中相关基因的表达调控及响应机制提供分子基础。采用高通量测序平台Illumina NovaSeq 6000,对不同盆栽根系分隔(塑料膜分隔FS、尼龙网分隔MS和不分隔NS)方式下的花魔芋根系进行转录组测序分析。测序共获得59.82 Gb数据,组装后得到92358条Transcript和40122条Unigene序列,其中Nr数据库注释的信息最多(23960条Unigene),占总Unigene的59.72%。将各样本获得的转录组数据进行两两比较,FS_vs_MS、FS_vs_NS和MS_vs_NS的差异表达基因数分别为1776,733,896个,其中上调表达基因数量占差异表达基因比例分别为33.1%,22.8%和50.8%。GO功能富集分析显示,差异表达基因主要涉及细胞质膜、细胞膜、细胞外围、细胞壁、外部囊状结构、细胞膜内在成分及质膜内在成分等。KEGG富集分析表明,尼龙网分隔和未分隔间作花魔芋根系相对于塑料膜分隔单作花魔芋较显著的差异代谢通路在于核糖体、氧化磷酸化和植物激素信号转导。本研究通过花魔芋根系转录组分析,为研究间作花魔芋根系基因的表达调控机制提供基础数据资料。何斐 李川 Shah Faisal 刘富强 段园鹏 王梦 阮佳 魏梦琳 姜浩 马星光 王卓 2023华北农学报2023,38,2:0
9Exploring the tectonostratigraphy of the Pakistan Himalaya with new detrital zircon geochronology and neodymium isotope data from the Kaghan Valley显示文摘In the central Himalaya,the Greater and Lesser Himalayan tectonostratigraphic zones can be distinguished from each other by combining detrital zircon U-Pb ages and whole-rock Nd isotopic data.In the Hazara-Kashmir syntaxis of northern Pakistan,rock units in the Kaghan valley have been variously assigned to the Tethyan,Greater,and Lesser Himalayan zones.To determine which tectonostratigraphic zones are represented,we sampled across the Batal thrust in the northern Kaghan valley because this structure is identified in some research as the Main Central thrust.Samples from the footwall yield Paleo-to Mesoproterozoic maximum depositional ages(-1.8-1.1 Ga)and an averageεNd(0)value of-14.3.Samples from the hanging wall yield Neoproterozoic maximum depositional ages(~1000-600 Ma)andεNd(0)values of-17.3.The contrasting detrital zircon ages show that the Batal thrust in the Kaghan valley is a major structural division.However,these data lack the characteristic detrital zircon age spectra andεNd(0)values of Greater and Lesser Himalayan rocks north and south of the Main Central thrust in the central Himalaya,respectively.Therefore,either the Batal thrust is not the Main Central thrust,or the Main Central thrust in the Kaghan valley cuts a different structural level and carries rock units not seen outside the Hazara-Kashmir syntaxis.W.Joel Schiffer Delores M.Robinson Shah Faisal Harold H.Stowell 2023Geoscience Frontiers2023,14,6:0
10Geochemistry and in-situ U-Th/Pb Geochronology of the Jambil Meta-Carbonatites, Northern Pakistan: Implications on Petrogenesis and Tectonic Evolution显示文摘The putative Jambil meta-carbonatites of Swat,northern Pakistan,occur as discrete intrusions into the Proterozoic Manglaur Formation,which are difficult to be distinguished from nearby calc-silicate marble because both rock types experienced regional metamorphism during Himalayan orogenesis that resulted in similar mosaic textures and mineral assemblages.Carbonatites are often significant repositories of economic mineral resources and,therefore,are important to be distinguished from calc-silicate marble.We present new geochemical and geochronology data to distinguish between the two rock types and interpret the petrogenesis and tectonic evolution of the Jambil metacarbonatites.Whole rock chemical data from the Jambil meta-carbonatites show characteristically high rare earth element(REE),Sr contents and lack of negative Eu anomaly,consistent with average calcio-carbonatite values worldwide and an igneous origin.More than 0.5 wt.% SrO in the metacarbonatites and SrO> 0.15 wt.% in constituent rock forming calcite are discriminating signatures of the Jambil meta-carbonatites.Chemically,the Jambil meta-carbonatites are relatively depleted in Rb,Nb,Ta,Ti,Zr and Hf,relatively enriched in Ba,Th,Sr,and have a high LREE/HREE ratio when normalized to primitive mantle.Their carbon and oxygen isotope compositions vary from-3.5‰ to-4.3‰and from 9.7‰ to 12.3‰,respectively.These geochemical characteristics indicate generation of the carbonatites through small degree of partial melting from a carbonated eclogitic source.In-situ,U/Pb analysis of titanite indicates that the Jambil meta-carbonatites were emplacement at 438 ±3 Ma.When combined with regional geological observations,we interpret the emplacement of the Jambil metacarbonatites to have taken place during the Silurian back arc extension within greater Gondwana and mark a transition from a compressional tectonic regime,brought about by collision of microcontinental blocks along the northern margin of Gondwana,to post-orogenic extension in the waning stages of the pre-Himalayan Ordovician orogeny.Finally,in-situ ^(208)Pb/^(232)Th monazite dates(40.3-27.6Ma) extracted from the meta-carbonatites are consistent with the Cenozoic metamorphism of the area.Asad Khan Shah Faisal Kyle P.Larson Delores M.Robinson Huan Li Zaheen Ullah Mark Button Javed Nawab Muhammad Farhan Liaqat Ali Muhammad Ali 2023Journal of Earth Science2023,34,1:0
11Optimal Resource Allocation in Fog Computing for Healthcare Applications显示文摘In recent years,the significant growth in the Internet of Things(IoT)technology has brought a lot of attention to information and communication industry.Various IoT paradigms like the Internet of Vehicle Things(IoVT)and the Internet of Health Things(IoHT)create massive volumes of data every day which consume a lot of bandwidth and storage.However,to process such large volumes of data,the existing cloud computing platforms offer limited resources due to their distance from IoT devices.Consequently,cloudcomputing systems produce intolerable latency problems for latency-sensitive real-time applications.Therefore,a newparadigm called fog computingmakes use of computing nodes in the form of mobile devices,which utilize and process the real-time IoT devices data in orders of milliseconds.This paper proposes workload-aware efficient resource allocation and load balancing in the fog-computing environment for the IoHT.The proposed algorithmic framework consists of the following components:task sequencing,dynamic resource allocation,and load balancing.We consider electrocardiography(ECG)sensors for patient’s critical tasks to achieve maximum load balancing among fog nodes and to measure the performance of end-to-end delay,energy,network consumption and average throughput.The proposed algorithm has been evaluated using the iFogSim tool,and results with the existing approach have been conducted.The experimental results exhibit that the proposed technique achieves a 45%decrease in delay,37%reduction in energy consumption,and 25%decrease in network bandwidth consumption compared to the existing studies.Salman Khan Ibrar Ali Shah Nasser Tairan Habib Shah Muhammad Faisal Nadeem 2022Computers, Materials & Continua2022,,6:0
12Computational modeling and analysis for the effect of magnetic field on rotating stretched disk flow with heat transfer显示文摘Time-dependent viscous fluid flow due to a stretchable rotating disk is investigated.Magnetic field is applied in vertical direction to the disk.Temperature equation is assisted with Joule heating effect.Governing system of PDE's is transformed to dimensionless form by suitable variables.One of the numerical techniques known as finite difference scheme is adopted to tackle the given dimensionless partial differential system.This method results in a system of simple algebraic equations.The unknown function is analyzed inside domain of interest.In this technique of solution,a system is subdivided into many smaller parts called finite elements.The obtained simpler algebraic equations are then assembled to form a system of equations which governs the original problem.Variational method is used to get approximate solution by reducing the error function.Behaviors of pertinent variables on surface drag force,temperature,velocity and heat transfer rate are shown graphically.The obtained outcomes guarantee that velocity decreases for Hartmann number while it enhances with Reynolds number.Temperature increases for higher Prandtl,Eckert and Hartmann numbers.Skin friction boosts for larger values of Hartmann number.Nusselt number enhances with Hartmann number.Salman Ahmad T.Hayat A.Alsaedi Habib Ullah Faisal Shah 2021Propulsion and Power Research2021,10,1:0
13Deep Transfer Learning Based Detection and Classification of Citrus Plant Diseases显示文摘Citrus fruit crops are among the world’s most important agricultural products,but pests and diseases impact their cultivation,resulting in yield and quality losses.Computer vision and machine learning have been widely used to detect and classify plant diseases over the last decade,allowing for early disease detection and improving agricultural production.This paper presented an automatic system for the early detection and classification of citrus plant diseases based on a deep learning(DL)model,which improved accuracy while decreasing computational complexity.The most recent transfer learning-based models were applied to the Citrus Plant Dataset to improve classification accuracy.Using transfer learning,this study successfully proposed a Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)-based pre-trained model(EfficientNetB3,ResNet50,MobiNetV2,and InceptionV3)for the identification and categorization of citrus plant diseases.To evaluate the architecture’s performance,this study discovered that transferring an EfficientNetb3 model resulted in the highest training,validating,and testing accuracies,which were 99.43%,99.48%,and 99.58%,respectively.In identifying and categorizing citrus plant diseases,the proposed CNN model outperforms other cuttingedge CNN model architectures developed previously in the literature.Shah Faisal Kashif Javed Sara Ali Areej Alasiry Mehrez Marzougui Muhammad Attique Khan Jae-Hyuk Cha 2023Computers, Materials & Continua2023,,7:0

15丛枝菌根菌丝桥介导刺槐-魔芋间碳转运和磷吸收显示文摘明确间作和接种丛枝菌根真菌(AMF)对刺槐(Robinia pseudoacacia)与魔芋(Amorphophallus konjac)碳转运和磷吸收的影响,可为揭示间作刺槐对魔芋的防病促生机制和推广刺槐林下魔芋绿色高产栽培技术提供科学依据。该研究使用孔径25μm尼龙网设置两室根箱隔网系统,分为A室(刺槐不接种/接种AMF)和B室(单作刺槐/刺槐间作魔芋);采用13C稳定性同位素技术对A室刺槐叶片进行标记,研究其同化的碳与B室魔芋之间的传递,以及AMF定植对两种作物的农艺性状、13C丰度和磷含量的影响。结果表明:(1)在接种条件下,菌丝桥对B室刺槐和魔芋的侵染率分别达到47.1%和60.4%;其中,刺槐侵染率与单作直接接种处理相比降低14.1%。在间作体系中,接种AMF提高了魔芋的生物量,其地上干质量和地下根系干质量分别较未接种处理显著增加9.7%和36.2%。(2)与单作未接种处理相比,间作未接种、单作接种和间作接种的刺槐同化的碳被更多地分配到根系和根际土壤(A室),并以根系分泌物的形式穿越尼龙网到达邻近作物根际(B室)。(3)与各自未接种处理相比,单作或间作接种显著提高B室刺槐和魔芋叶片、茎/叶柄、根系和全株磷含量。综上,AMF定植促进了刺槐向魔芋根际土和植株体内的碳转运,且间作栽培可促进AMF的定植和宿主作物对磷的吸收。何斐 李川 Faisal SHAH 卢谢敏 王莹 王梦 阮佳 魏梦琳 马星光 王卓 姜浩 2023植物生态学报2023,47,6:0
16Automated Test Case Generation from Requirements: A Systematic Literature Review显示文摘Software testing is an important and cost intensive activity in software development.The major contribution in cost is due to test case generations.Requirement-based testing is an approach in which test cases are derivative from requirements without considering the implementation’s internal structure.Requirement-based testing includes functional and nonfunctional requirements.The objective of this study is to explore the approaches that generate test cases from requirements.A systematic literature review based on two research questions and extensive quality assessment criteria includes studies.The study identies 30 primary studies from 410 studies spanned from 2000 to 2018.The review’s nding shows that 53%of journal papers,42%of conference papers,and 5%of book chapters’address requirementsbased testing.Most of the studies use UML,activity,and use case diagrams for test case generation from requirements.One of the signicant lessons learned is that most software testing errors are traced back to errors in natural language requirements.A substantial amount of work focuses on UML diagrams for test case generations,which cannot capture all the system’s developed attributes.Furthermore,there is a lack of UML-based models that can generate test cases from natural language requirements by rening them in context.Coverage criteria indicate how efciently the testing has been performed 12.37%of studies use requirements coverage,20%of studies cover path coverage,and 17%study basic coverage.Ahmad Mustafa Wan M.N.Wan-Kadir Noraini Ibrahim Muhammad Arif Shah Muhammad Younas Atif Khan Mahdi Zareei Faisal Alanazi 2021Computers, Materials & Continua2021,,5:0
