12Genesis of Manganese Deposits in the Ali Khanzai Block of the Zhob Ophiolite,Pakistan:Inferences from Geochemistry and Mineralogy显示文摘The Zhob ophiolite comprises the Naweoba, Omzha and Ali Khanzai blocks, which are surrounded by the sediments of the Alozai Group and Loralai Formation. The Ali Khanzai Block contains metamorphic, ultramafic, gabbroic, volcanic and volcaniclastic rocks with associated chert. The Zhob manganese deposits found in the Ali Khanzai Block, occur in banded, lenticular and massive forms within red to brown coloured metachert. Braunite and pyrolusite are the main constituent manganese-bearing minerals with minor hausmannite, hematite and barite while quartz is the major gangue mineral with some carbonate minerals. Geochemical evidence from the major oxides indicates that the manganese mineralization and associated metachert at Zhob were formed by hydrothermal activity with little contribution from contemporaneous volcanic materials and this is confirmed by high Fe/Mn and low Co/Zn ratios and trace element patterns. 13Infield superconducting properties of nano-sized Ag added Cu0.5Tl0.5Ba2Ca2Cu3O10-δ显示文摘Infield superconducting properties of {(Ag)_x/CUTl-1223};(x = 0, 0.5,1.0.2.0 and 4.0 wt %) nanoparticlessuperconductor composites were investigated under different applied magnetic field up to H = 8 T. The increase in critical temperature {T_c(0)} and decrease in normal state resistivity(p_o) were observed with increasing contents of Ag nanoparticles in CuTl-1223 superconducting matrix. The value of T_c^(onset)(K) remained almost unaffected by applying external magnetic field, but a decreasing trend in T_c(0) was observed by increasing the value of external applied magnetic field. The transition region below T_c^(onset)(K) showed Arrhenius behavior due to thermally activated flow of magnetic vortices. 14Geochemistry and in-situ U-Th/Pb Geochronology of the Jambil Meta-Carbonatites, Northern Pakistan: Implications on Petrogenesis and Tectonic Evolution显示文摘The putative Jambil meta-carbonatites of Swat,northern Pakistan,occur as discrete intrusions into the Proterozoic Manglaur Formation,which are difficult to be distinguished from nearby calc-silicate marble because both rock types experienced regional metamorphism during Himalayan orogenesis that resulted in similar mosaic textures and mineral assemblages.Carbonatites are often significant repositories of economic mineral resources and,therefore,are important to be distinguished from calc-silicate marble.We present new geochemical and geochronology data to distinguish between the two rock types and interpret the petrogenesis and tectonic evolution of the Jambil metacarbonatites.Whole rock chemical data from the Jambil meta-carbonatites show characteristically high rare earth element(REE),Sr contents and lack of negative Eu anomaly,consistent with average calcio-carbonatite values worldwide and an igneous origin.More than 0.5 wt.% SrO in the metacarbonatites and SrO> 0.15 wt.% in constituent rock forming calcite are discriminating signatures of the Jambil meta-carbonatites.Chemically,the Jambil meta-carbonatites are relatively depleted in Rb,Nb,Ta,Ti,Zr and Hf,relatively enriched in Ba,Th,Sr,and have a high LREE/HREE ratio when normalized to primitive mantle.Their carbon and oxygen isotope compositions vary from-3.5‰ to-4.3‰and from 9.7‰ to 12.3‰,respectively.These geochemical characteristics indicate generation of the carbonatites through small degree of partial melting from a carbonated eclogitic source.In-situ,U/Pb analysis of titanite indicates that the Jambil meta-carbonatites were emplacement at 438 ±3 Ma.When combined with regional geological observations,we interpret the emplacement of the Jambil metacarbonatites to have taken place during the Silurian back arc extension within greater Gondwana and mark a transition from a compressional tectonic regime,brought about by collision of microcontinental blocks along the northern margin of Gondwana,to post-orogenic extension in the waning stages of the pre-Himalayan Ordovician orogeny.Finally,in-situ ^(208)Pb/^(232)Th monazite dates(40.3-27.6Ma) extracted from the meta-carbonatites are consistent with the Cenozoic metamorphism of the area.Asad Khan Shah Faisal Kyle P.Larson Delores M.Robinson Huan Li Zaheen Ullah Mark Button Javed Nawab Muhammad Farhan Liaqat Ali Muhammad Ali 2023Journal of Earth Science2023,34,1:0
15Personality Assessment Based on Natural Stream of Thoughts Empowered with Machine Learning显示文摘Knowing each other is obligatory in a multi-agent collaborative environment.Collaborators may develop the desired know-how of each other in various aspects such as habits,job roles,status,and behaviors.Among different distinguishing characteristics related to a person,personality traits are an effective predictive tool for an individual’s behavioral pattern.It has been observed that when people are asked to share their details through questionnaires,they intentionally or unintentionally become biased.They knowingly or unknowingly provide enough information in much-unbiased comportment in open writing about themselves.Such writings can effectively assess an individual’s personality traits that may yield enormous possibilities for applications such as forensic departments,job interviews,mental health diagnoses,etc.Stream of consciousness,collected by James Pennbaker and Laura King,is one such way of writing,referring to a narrative technique where the emotions and thoughts of the writer are presented in a way that brings the reader to the fluid through the mental states of the narrator.More-over,computationally,various attempts have been made in an individual’s personality traits assessment through deep learning algorithms;however,the effectiveness and reliability of results vary with varying word embedding techniques.This article proposes an empirical approach to assessing personality by applying convolutional networks to text documents.Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers(BERT)word embedding technique is used for word vector generation to enhance the contextual meanings.Mohammed Salahat Liaqat Ali Taher M.Ghazal Haitham M.Alzoubi 2023Computers, Materials & Continua2023,,7:0
16Predicting Dementia Risk Factors Based on Feature Selection and Neural Networks显示文摘Dementia is a disorder with high societal impact and severe consequences for its patients who suffer from a progressive cognitive decline that leads to increased morbidity,mortality,and disabilities.Since there is a consensus that dementia is a multifactorial disorder,which portrays changes in the brain of the affected individual as early as 15 years before its onset,prediction models that aim at its early detection and risk identification should consider these characteristics.This study aims at presenting a novel method for ten years prediction of dementia using on multifactorial data,which comprised 75 variables.There are two automated diagnostic systems developed that use genetic algorithms for feature selection,while artificial neural network and deep neural network are used for dementia classification.The proposed model based on genetic algorithm and deep neural network had achieved the best accuracy of 93.36%,sensitivity of 93.15%,specificity of 91.59%,MCC of 0.4788,and performed superior to other 11 machine learning techniques which were presented in the past for dementia prediction.The identified best predictors were:age,past smoking habit,history of infarct,depression,hip fracture,single leg standing test with right leg,score in the physical component summary and history of TIA/RIND.The identification of risk factors is imperative in the dementia research as an effort to prevent or delay its onset.Ashir Javeed Ana Luiza Dallora Johan Sanmartin Berglund Arif Ali Peter Anderberg Liaqat Ali 2023Computers, Materials & Continua2023,,5:0
17Geochemical modeling, fate distribution, and risk exposure of potentially toxic metals in the surface sediment of the Shyok suture zone, northern Pakistan显示文摘The objective of the current study was to assess the contamination of potentially toxic metals(PTMs)in weathered surface sediment,along stream tributaries,and surrounding area of the river Chitral,Shyok suture zone district Chitral,Pakistan.To understand the geochemical features of 113 sediment,samples were collected from the Mirkhani and Drosh area.Then,different statistical tools including the geoaccumulation index(Igeo),cluster analysis(CA),principal component analysis(PCA),and ecological risk assessment(ERA)were used to unravel the origin,intensity,and exposure level of PTMs to control risk and restore the ecosystem within the study area.The results for the PTMs namely nickle(Ni),chromium(Cr),copper(Cu),cadmium(Cd),lead(Pb),zinc(Zn),and cobalt(Co)in Mirkhani and Drosh were in the following ranges:10e150,15e210,15e250,0.08e1.00,10e70,76e240 and 14e51;and 13 e240,17e210,15e150,0.08e0.60,7e140,47e150 and 13e36 mg/kg,respectively.In consequence,the potential ecological risk caused by Pb,Ni,Cu,Co,Cr,and Zn is reflected by the percentages of samples with an ecological risk index(ERI)greater than one which were 100%,91%,100%,100%,92%,and 100%,respectively.However,the overall mean decreasing order of ecological risk of PTMs in the district Chitral was Pb>Ni>Cu>Co>Cr>Zn>Cd.Moreover,the PCA yielded 78%variability which indicated that mineral prospects play an important role in the contamination of sediment.Furthermore,the mineral phases of Pb and Zn suggested supersaturation,while that for Cd revealed unsaturation.The results of Igeo,ERI,and CA indicated contamination of PTMs in the study area.The ERI value of Pb,Ni,Cu,Co,Cr,and Zn was higher than 1 suggesting an ecological risk in the study area.Moreover,the current study showed the dominance of geogenic contamination with major contributions from ultramafic rock and known mineral prospects.Therefore,contaminated sediment of the Shyok suture zone is extremely detrimental to the aquatic ecosystem of the study area.Liaqat Ali Abdur Rashid Seema Anjum Khattak Xubo Gao Shah Jehan Asif Javed 2021International Journal of Sediment Research2021,36,5:0

19AI-Based Intelligent Model to Predict Epidemics Using Machine Learning Technique显示文摘The immediate international spread of severe acute respiratory syn-drome revealed the potential threat of infectious diseases in a closely integrated and interdependent world.When an outbreak occurs,each country must have a well-coordinated and preventative plan to address the situation.Information and Communication Technologies have provided innovative approaches to dealing with numerous facets of daily living.Although intelligent devices and applica-tions have become a vital part of our everyday lives,smart gadgets have also led to several physical and psychological health problems in modern society.Here,we used an artificial intelligence AI-based system for disease prediction using an Artificial Neural Network(ANN).The ANN improved the regularization of the classification model,hence increasing its accuracy.The unconstrained opti-mization model reduced the classifier’s cost function to obtain the lowest possible cost.To verify the performance of the intelligent system,we compared the out-comes of the suggested scheme with the results of previously proposed models.The proposed intelligent system achieved an accuracy of 0.89,and the miss rate 0.11 was higher than in previously proposed models.Liaqat Ali Saif E.A.Alnawayseh Mohammed Salahat Taher M.Ghazal Mohsen A.A.Tomh Beenu Mago 2023Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing2023,,4:0
