| 1 | Study on Relationship between Microstructure of Active Phase and HDS Performance of Sulfided Ni-Mo Catalysts: Effect of Metal Loading显示文摘Six Ni-Mo catalysts with different metal contents were prepared and characterized by N2 adsorption and X-ray diffractometry. The active phase microstructure of these catalysts was examined by the Raman spectroscopy, temperatureprogrammed reduction(TPR), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy. Hydrodesulfurization(HDS) activity of catalyst samples were analyzed in a flow fixed-bed microreactor. The sulfidation degree of Mo and the length of the MoS2 slab slightly increased with the amount of metal loaded following sulfidation. This small change is attributed to polymolybdate species observed in all the oxidized catalysts. Weak metal-support interactions, as determined by the TPR technique, increased the NiSx sulfidation phase and MoS2 slab stacking. The HDS activity of the catalyst samples increased with the number of active sites. For high metal loading catalysts, their HDS activity was nearly identical because the sulfur atoms cannot easily approach active sites. | 2 | Research on Optimized Utilization of Naphtha Resources Based on Adsorptive Separation with Zeolite显示文摘By means of molecular scale management, the technology of separating normal paraffins from naphtha through adsorption using 5A molecular sieves was studied with the purpose of optimizing the utilization of naphtha. The raw materials used in steam cracking and catalytic reforming processes could be allocated properly. During the adsorption process, the separation efficiency of the normal paraffins was above 99.9% with the purity of normal paraffins in the desorption oil exceeding 98.2%. With the use of the desorption oil as the feedstock of steam cracking, the ethylene yield increased from 29.7%-35.0% to 41.4%- 49.2% compared to that of the naphtha in the existing plant under similar operation conditions. The potential aromatic content of the raffinate oil rose from 30.6% to 43.5% compared to that in naphtha. | 3 | Oligomerization of 1-Decene: Catalyzation by Immobilized AlCl_3/γ-Al_2O_3 Catalyst in Fixed-bed Reactor显示文摘1-Decene was oligomerized over the supported AlCl3/γ-Al2O3 catalyst in a fixed-bed reactor. The effects of temperature and LHSV on oligomerization of 1-decene were investigated and the synthetic PAO was characterized with GC technique. Furthermore, the life of immobilized catalyst was tested and the mechanism of catalyst deactivation was discussed. The results showed that with an increasing temperature, the PAO yield increased and the kinematic viscosity of oil decreased. The GC results indicated that the synthesized PAO was a mixture consisting of dimers, trimers, tetramers and pentamers. | 4 | Simultaneous Removal of H_2S and Organosulfur Compounds from Liquefied Petroleum Gas Using Formulated Solvents: Solubility Parameter Investigation and Industrial Test显示文摘The performance of four formulated solvents(labeled as UDS-I, UDS-II, UDS-III, and UDS-IV) for removing methyl mercaptan from liquefied petroleum gas was predicted based on a two-dimensional solubility parameter theory. The calculation results show that UDS-IV has the closest solubility parameter to that of methyl mercaptan as compared with other tested solvents, indicating the strongest affinity and the highest solubility for methyl mercaptan. The industrial tests at a plant for desulfurization of LPG produced from the delayed coker have shown that the UDS solvents have the excellent performance for removal of organosulfur compounds(mainly methyl mercaptan). Although the sulfur loading dramatically increases, the total sulfur content of LPG treated with UDS-IV can be reduced by about 50% in comparison with N-methyl diethanolamine. In addition, UDS-IV has superior regeneration performance and selectivity for sulfur compounds over hydrocarbons. | 5 | Rheological properties and viscosity reduction of South China Sea crude oil显示文摘The rheological properties of South China Sea(SCS) crude oil were studied. A group of synthetic long-chain polymers, including octadecyl acrylate-maleic anhydride bidodecyl amide copolymer(VR-D),octadecyl acrylate-maleic anhydride bioctadecyl amide copolymer(VR-O) and octadecyl acrylate-maleic anhydride phenly amide copolymer(VR-A), were employed to serve as viscosity reducers(VRs). Their performance was evaluated by both experimental and computational methodologies. The results suggest that the SCS crude oil has low wax content yet high resin and asphaltene contents, which lead to high viscosity through formation of association structures. Additionally, the SCS crude oil appears to be a pseudoplastic fluid showing linear shear stress-shear rate dependence at low temperature. Interestingly, it gradually evolves into a Newtonian fluid with exponential relationship between shear stress and shear rate at higher temperature. Synthetic VRs demonstrate desirable and effective performance on improvement of the rheological properties of SCS crude oil. Upon the introduction of 1000 ppm VR-O,which is synthesized by using octadecylamine in the aminolysis reaction, the viscosity of SCS crude oil is decreased by 44.2% at 15 °C and 40.2% at 40 °C. | 6 | An Extraction Process for Optimal Utilization of Naphtha Based on Molecule Management显示文摘In this paper, the separation of aromatics from light naphtha by using extraction process was investigated for improving the utilization efficiency of naphtha. It is indicated that, using a mixture of propylene carbonate-diethylene glycol as the solvent, the optimal extraction conditions cover: a volume fraction of propylene carbonate in the mixed solvent of 0.3, a solvent to feed ratio of 8, and an extraction temperature of 308 K. Through the extraction process, the aromatics mass fraction increases from 10.05% in naphtha to 27.74% in extract oil. It is found that the aromatics yield of extract oil, R_A, reaches 92.11%. As a result, in comparison with naphtha, the potential aromatics content of extract oil increases impressively by 18.03%. Meanwhile, the aromatics content of raffinate oil decreases to 1.33%, and the normal paraffin yield of raffinate oil, Rp, is 76.61%. Accordingly, higher total olefins yields can be obtained when using raffinate oil as the raw material for steam cracking. | 7 | Comparison on Adsorptive Separation of n-Paraffins Based on Binderless and Binder-containing Zeolite 5A Pellets显示文摘Binderless zeolite is considered to be a potential alternative for binder-containing zeolite in the industrial applications of adsorptive separation process. Synthesized binderless zeolite and commercial binder-containing product were used in adsorptive separation of n-paraffins from a model oil, with their performance compared. It is indicated that the binderless zeolite exhibits by 25%-35% higher in saturated adsorption capacity and by 115%-130% more adsorption amount at the breakthrough point with much shorter length of mass-transfer zone. Adsorptive separation of n-paraffins from naphtha was carried out in a fixed-bed adsorber containing the synthesized binderless zeolite 5 A under the operating conditions covering a feed space velocity of 90 h-1 and an adsorption temperature of 573 K.
