1Hypoxia-mimicking 3D bioglass-nanoclay scaffolds promote endogenous bone regeneration显示文摘Large bone defect repair requires biomaterials that promote angiogenesis and osteogenesis.In present work,a nanoclay(Laponite,XLS)-functionalized 3D bioglass(BG)scaffold with hypoxia mimicking property was prepared by foam replication coupled with UV photopolymerization methods.Our data revealed that the incorporation of XLS can significantly promote the mechanical property of the scaffold and the osteogenic differentiation of human adipose mesenchymal stem cells(ADSCs)compared to the properties of the neat BG scaffold.Desferoxamine,a hypoxia mimicking agent,encourages bone regeneration via activating hypoxia-inducible factor-1 alpha(HIF-1α)-mediated angiogenesis.GelMA-DFO immobilization onto BG-XLS scaffold achieved sustained DFO release and inhibited DFO degradation.Furthermore,in vitro data demonstrated increased HIF-1αand vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)expressions on human adipose mesenchymal stem cells(ADSCs).Moreover,BG-XLS/GelMA-DFO scaffolds also significantly promoted the osteogenic differentiation of ADSCs.Most importantly,our in vivo data indicated BG-XLS/GelMA-DFO scaffolds strongly increased bone healing in a critical-sized mouse cranial bone defect model.Therefore,we developed a novel BG-XLS/GelMA-DFO scaffold which can not only induce the expression of VEGF,but also promote osteogenic differentiation of ADSCs to promote endogenous bone regeneration.Xiao Zheng Xiaorong Zhang Yingting Wang Yangxi Liu Yining Pan Yijia Li Man Ji Xueqin Zhao Shengbin Huang Qingqing Yao 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,10:4

3Electrical Characteristics of Plasma Plume During Pulse Wave Laser Welding显示文摘To detect the real-time plasma plume during pulse wave Nd:YAG laser welding, experimental studies were conducted based on asynchronous signal acquisition system. The electrical signals of the laser-induced plasma plume were obtained by a passive acquisition system. The plume was directly observed and recorded using synchronous high-speed camera. The results showed that the waveform of the signals was in accordance with the periodical laser power. The signals decreased after the laser was turned on and fl uctuated relatively steadily on the stable stage and then increased to 0 V after the laser beam was turned off . The decreasing time of the electrical signals was roughly 1.0 ms, and it decreased with the increasing peak power. 5Effect of Radix Ilicis Pubescentis on the Rats with Hyperlipidemia显示文摘[Objectives]To study the hypolipidemic effect of Radix Ilicis Pubescentis and to provide experimental scientific basis for the study of hypolipidemic mechanism of Radix Ilicis Pubescentis.[Methods]60 healthy(SD)male rats were selected,10 rats were given basic feed and pure water as blank control group,and the other 50 rats were fed with high-fat diet for 4 weeks.After establishing the hyperlipidemic rat model,the rats were randomly divided into model group,high,middle and low dose groups(1000,800,500 mg/kg),and positive control group(simvastatin 0.4 mg/mL).The corresponding drugs were intragastrically administered to the rats in each group(blank control group and model group intragastrically administered with normal saline).Four weeks later,blood samples from abdominal aorta were taken to detect serum total cholesterol(TC),serum triglyceride(TG),low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),and high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C).[Results]Compared with the blank control group,TC,TG and LDL-C increased while HDL-C decreased in the model group(P<0.05);compared with the model group,TC,TG and LDL-C in Radix Ilicis Pubescentis group decreased to varying degrees,and the content of HDL-C in serum of rats had no statistical significance.Compared with the blank control group,the serum TC and TG contents of the model group,positive control group,high,middle and low dose groups of Radix Ilicis Pubescentis extract significantly increased(P<0.01 or 0.05),and the serum LDL-C content of rats decreased(P<0.05).[Conclusions]The extract of Radix Ilicis Pubescentis had a certain lipid-lowering effect on hyperlipidemia in rats,and had obvious preventive and therapeutic effect on hyperlipidemia.Chaoyan QIN Jiangcun WEI Peitao XIE Wen ZHONG Shengbin CHEN Fengxian ZHAO Qian HAN 2020Medicinal Plant2020,11,4:0

9Melatonin protects TEGDMA-induced preodontoblast mitochondrial apoptosis via the JNK/MAPK signaling pathway显示文摘Resin monomer-induced dental pulp injury presents a pathology related to mitochondrial dysfunction.Melatonin has been regarded as a strong mitochondrial protective bioactive compound from the pineal gland.However,it remains unknown whether melatonin can prevent dental pulp from resin monomer-induced injury.The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of melatonin on apoptosis of mouse preodontoblast cells(mDPC6T)induced by triethylene glycol dimethacrylate(TEGDMA),a major component in dental resin,and to determine whether the JNK/MAPK signaling pathway mediates the protective effect of melatonin.A well-established TEGDMA-induced mDPC6T apoptosis model is adopted to investigate the preventive function of melatonin by detecting cell viability,apoptosis rate,expressions of apoptosis-related proteins,mitochondrial ROS(mtROS)production,mitochondrial membrane potential(MMP)and adenosine triphosphate(ATP)level.Inhibitors of MAPKs are used to explore which pathway is involved in TEGDMA-induced apoptosis.Finally,the role of the JNK/MAPK pathway is verified using JNK agonists and antagonists.Our results show that melatonin attenuates TEGDMA-induced mDPC6T apoptosis by reducing mtROS production and rescuing MMP and ATP levels.Furthermore,mitochondrial dysfunction and apoptosis are alleviated only by the JNK/MAPK inhibitor SP600125 but not by other MAPK inhibitors.Additionally,melatonin downregulates the expression of phosphorylated JNK and counteractes the activating effects of anisomycin on the JNK/MAPK pathway,mimicking the effects of SP600125.Our findings demonstrate that melatonin protects mDPC6T cells against TEGDMA-induced apoptosis partly through JNK/MAPK and the maintenance of mitochondrial function,offering a novel therapeutic strategy for the prevention of resin monomer-induced dental pulp injury.Qihao Yu Ruize Hua Bingyang Zhao Dongchao Qiu Chengfei Zhang Shengbin Huang Yihuai Pan 2024Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2024,56,3:0
10Highly interconnected macroporous MBG/PLGA scaffolds with enhanced mechanical and biological properties via green foaming strategy显示文摘In this study,mesoporous bioactive glass particles(MBGs) are incorporated into poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid)(PLGA) to fabricate highly interconnected macroporous composite scaffolds with enhanced mechanical and biological properties via a developed supercritical carbon dioxide(scCO_(2)) foaming method Scaffolds show favorable highly interconnected and macroporous structure through a high foaming pressure and long venting time foaming strategy.Specifically,scaffolds with porosity from 73% to 85%,pore size from 120 μm to 320 μm and interconnectivity of over 95% are controllably fabricated at MBG content from 0 wt% to 20 wt%.In comparison with neat PLGA scaffolds,composite scaffolds perform improved strength(up to 1.5 folds) and Young's modulus(up to 3 folds).The interconnected macroporous structure is beneficial to the ingrowth of cells.More importantly,composite scaffolds also provide a more promising microenvironment for cellular proliferation and adhesion with the release of bioactive ions.Hopefully,MBG/PLGA scaffolds developed by the green foaming strategy in this work show promising morphological,mechanical and biological features for tissue regeneration.Chaobo Song Jiapeng Zhang Shuang Li Shengbin Yang Eryi Lu Zhenhao Xi Lian Cen Ling Zhao Weikang Yuan 2021Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2021,34,1:0
