1Cell concentration,viability and culture composition of airborne bacteria during a dust event in Beijing显示文摘Airborne bacteria were measured when a dust storm passed Beijing in spring 2012 with a focus on cell concentration,viability and TSA-and R2A-cultured strain composition.The concentration varied at an order of 10~7 cells/m^3 with dust loading(demonstrated with PM_(10))and they had a very close correlation(R_T^2 = 0.91,p < 0.01).At the time of highest PM_(10) of652 μg/m^3,the bacterial concentration reached 1.4 × 10~8 cells/m^3,which was larger than that before and after the dust event by one order.Bacterial viability,the ratio of number concentration of viable cells to total cells,was 32%-64%and smaller in the dust plume than that before the dust arrival.Bacterial strains from the culture ranged between 2.5 x 104 and4.6×10~5 CFU/m^3 and no correlation with PM_(10) was determined.Their composition was different before and after the dust arrival according to 16SrRNA gene sequences and strains belong to Actinomycetes and Firmicutes were the majority in the dust samples.Hongli Yuan Daizhou Zhang Yanning Shi Baozhen Li Jinshui Yang Xuejian Yu Nan Chen Makiko Kakikawa 2017Journal of Environmental Sciences2017,29,5:5

12Black phosphorus nanosheets-enabled DNA hydrogel integrating 3D-printed scaffold for promoting vascularized bone regeneration显示文摘The classical 3D-printed scaffolds have attracted enormous interests in bone regeneration due to the customized structural and mechanical adaptability to bone defects.However,the pristine scaffolds still suffer from the absence of dynamic and bioactive microenvironment that is analogous to natural extracellular matrix(ECM)to regulate cell behaviour and promote tissue regeneration.To address this challenge,we develop a black phosphorus nanosheets-enabled dynamic DNA hydrogel to integrate with 3D-printed scaffold to build a bioactive gel-scaffold construct to achieve enhanced angiogenesis and bone regeneration.The black phosphorus nanosheets reinforce the mechanical strength of dynamic self-healable hydrogel and endow the gel-scaffold construct with preserved protein binding to achieve sustainable delivery of growth factor.We further explore the effects of this activated construct on both human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVECs)and mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)as well as in a critical-sized rat cranial defect model.The results confirm that the gel-scaffold construct is able to promote the growth of mature blood vessels as well as induce osteogenesis to promote new bone formation,indicating that the strategy of nano-enabled dynamic hydrogel integrated with 3D-printed scaffold holds great promise for bone tissue engineering.Yali Miao Yunhua Chen Jinshui Luo Xiao Liu Qian Yang Xuetao Shi Yingjun Wang 2023Bioactive Materials2023,,3:1
13Irrigating with cooler water does not reverse high temperature impact on grain yield and quality in hybrid rice显示文摘Rice grain yield and quality are negatively impacted by high temperature stress.Irrigation water temperature significantly affects rice growth and development,thus influencing yield and quality.The role of cooler irrigation water in counteracting high temperature induced damages in rice grain yield and quality are not explored.Hence,in the present study two rice hybrids,Liangyoupeijiu(LYPJ)and IIyou 602(IIY602)were exposed to heat stress and irrigated with water having different temperatures in a splitsplit plot experimental design.The stress was imposed starting from heading until maturity under field-based heat tents,over two consecutive years.The maximum day temperature inside the heat tents was set at 38℃.For the irrigation treatments,two different water sources were used including belowground water with cooler water temperature and pond water with relatively higher water temperature.Daytime mean temperatures in the heat tents were increased by 1.2–2.0℃ across two years,while nighttime temperature remained similar at both within and outside the heat tents.Cooler belowground water irrigation did have little effect on air temperature at the canopy level but decreased soil temperature(0.2–1.4℃)especially under control.Heat stress significantly reduced grain yield(33%to 43%),panicles m^(-2)(9%to 10%),spikelets m^(-2)(15%to 22%),grain-filling percentage(13%to 26%)and 1000-grain weight(3%to 5%).Heat stress significantly increased chalkiness and protein content and decreased grain length and amylose content.Grain yield was negatively related to air temperature at the canopy level and soil temperature.Whereas grain quality parameters like chalkiness recorded a significantly positive association with both air and soil temperatures.Irrigating with cooler belowground water reduced the negative effect of heat stress on grain yield by 8.8%in LYPJ,while the same effect was not seen in IIY602,indicating cultivar differences in their response to irrigation water temperature.Our findings reveal that irrigating with cooler belowground water would not significantly mitigate yield loss or improve grain quality under realistic field condition.The outcome of this study adds to the scientific knowledge in understanding the interaction between heat stress and irrigation as a mitigation tool.Irrigation water temperature regulation at the rhizosphere was unable to counteract heat stress damages in rice and hence a more integrated management and genetic options at canopy levels should be explored in the future.Wanju Shi Xinzhen Zhang Juan Yang Somayanda M.Impa De Wang Yusha Lai Zijin Yang Hang Xu Jinshui Wu Jianhua Zhang S.V.Krishna Jagadish 2023The Crop Journal2023,11,3:0
14Multifunctional solar-blind ultraviolet photodetectors based on p-PCDTBT/n-Ga_(2)O_(3)heterojunction with high photoresponse显示文摘Solar-blind ultraviolet(UV)photodetectors based on p-organic/n-Ga_(2)O_(3) hybrid heterojunctions have attracted extensive attention recently.Herein,the multifunctional solar-blind photodetector based on p-type poly[N-90-heptadecanyl-2,7-carbazole-alt-5,5-(40,70-di-2-thienyl-20,10,30-benzothiadiazole)](PCDTBT)/n-type amorphous Ga_(2)O_(3)(a-Ga_(2)O_(3))is fabricated and investigated,which can work in the phototransistor mode coupling with self-powered mode.With the introduction of PCDTBT,the dark current of such the a-Ga_(2)O_(3)-based photodetector is decreased to 0.48 pA.Meanwhile,the photoresponse parameters of the a-Ga_(2)O_(3)-based photodetector in the phototransistor mode to solar-blind UV light are further increased,that is,responsivity(R),photo-detectivity(D*),and external quantum efficiency(EQE)enhanced to 187 A W^(-1),1.3×10^(16) Jones and 9.1×10^(4)% under the weak light intensity of 11μW cm^(-2),respectively.Thanks to the formation of the built-in field in the p-PCDTBT/n-Ga_(2)O_(3) type-Ⅱ heterojunction,the PCDTBT/Ga_(2)O_(3) multifunctional photodetector shows self-powered behavior.The responsivity of p-PCDTBT/n-Ga_(2)O_(3) multifunctional photodetector is 57.5 mA W^(-1) at zero bias.Such multifunctional p-n hybrid heterojunction-based photodetectors set the stage for realizing high-performance amorphous Ga_(2)O_(3) heterojunction-based photodetectors.Yifei Wang Zhenhua Lin Jingli Ma Yongyi Wu Haidong Yuan Dongsheng Cui Mengyang Kang XingGuo Jie Su Jinshui Miao Zhifeng Shi Tao Li Jincheng Zhang Yue Hao Jingjing Chang 2024InfoMat2024,6,2:0
