| 4 | Wall-modeling for large-eddy simulation of flows around an axisymmetric body using the diffuse-interface immersed boundary method显示文摘A novel method is proposed to combine the wall-modeled large-eddy simulation(LES) with the diffuse-interface direct-forcing immersed boundary(IB) method.The new developments in this method include:(i) the momentum equation is integrated along the wall-normal direction to link the tangential component of the effective body force for the IB method to the wall shear stress predicted by the wall model;(ii) a set of Lagrangian points near the wall are introduced to compute the normal component of the effective body force for the IB method by reconstructing the normal component of the velocity. This novel method will be a classical direct-forcing IB method if the grid is fine enough to resolve the flow near the wall. The method is used to simulate the flows around the DARPA SUBOFF model. | 6 | Effect of in ovo folic acid injection on hepatic IGF2 expression and embryo growth of broilers显示文摘Background: Insulin-like factor 2(IGF2) plays an important role in embryonic growth process by modulating intermediary metabolism and cell proliferation. Folic acid is involved in one carbon metabolism and contributes to DNA methylation which is related to gene expression. The purpose of this study was to explore whether folic acid could regulate IGF2 expression via epigenetic mechanism and further promote embryonic growth of new-hatched broilers.Methods: In the present study, 360 fertile eggs were selected and randomly assigned to four treatments. On11 embryonic day of incubation(E11), 0, 50, 100 and 150 μg folic acid were injected into eggs respectively.After hatched, growth performance of broilers were calculated. Hepatic IGF2 expression, methylation level and chromatin structure of promoter region were analyzed.Results: Results have showed that IGF2 expression was up-regulated in 150 μg folic acid group(P < 0.05) and other two dose of folic acid did not affect gene expression(P > 0.05). Meanwhile, methylation level of IGF2 promoter were lower in 100 and 150 μg groups, which was consistent with lower expression of DNA methyltransferase1(DNMT1)(P < 0.05). What's more, chromatin looseness of IGF2 promoter was higher in 150 μg group than control group(P < 0.05). Further, birth weight(BW), liver and bursa index of new-hatched chickens in 150 μg folic acid group were higher than the other groups(P < 0.05). | 7 | A large eddy simulation of flows around an underwater vehicle model using an immersed boundary method显示文摘A large eddy simulation(LES) of the flows around an underwater vehicle model at intermediate Reynolds numbers is performed. The underwater vehicle model is taken as the DARPA SUBOFF with full appendages,where the Reynolds number based on the hull length is 1.0×105. An immersed boundary method based on the moving-least-squares reconstruction is used to handle the complex geometric boundaries. The adaptive mesh refinement is utilized to resolve the flows near the hull. The parallel scalabilities of the flow solver are tested on meshes with the number of cells varying from 50 million to 3.2 billion. The parallel solver reaches nearly linear scalability for the flows around the underwater vehicle model. The present simulation captures the essential features of the vortex structures near the hull and in the wake.Both of the time-averaged pressure coefficients and streamwise velocity profiles obtained from the LES are consistent with the characteristics of the flows pass an appended axisymmetric body. | 8 | Materials and structures for the electron transport layer of efficient and stable perovskite solar cells显示文摘The electron transport layer plays a vital function in extracting and transporting photogenerated electrons, modifying the interface, aligning the interfacial energy level and minimizing the charge recombination in perovskite solar cells. This review summarizes the recent research progress on electron transport materials of metal oxides, organic molecules and multilayers. The doped metal oxides as electron transport materials in regular perovskite solar cells show improved device performance relative to their non-doped counterpart due to enhanced electron mobility and energy level alignment. The non-fullerene organic electron transport materials with better electron mobility and tunable energy level alignment need to be further designed and developed despite their advantages of mechanical flexibility and wide range tunability. | 9 | Bioactivated in vivo assembly(BIVA)peptide-tetraphenylethylene(TPE)probe with controllable assembled nanostructure for cell imaging显示文摘The emergence of fluorescent light-up molecular probe,which can specifically turn on their fluorescent in the presence of stimulation factors,has open up a new opportunity to advance biosensing and bioimaging.In this work,we designed and synthesized a peptide-AIE conjugate probe for cell imaging with controlled in situ assembled nanostructures.The modular designed probe is consisted of a selfassembled peptide-tetraphenylethene(TPE)motif,a fibroblast activation protein alpha(FAP-α)responsive motif,a hydrophilic motif and a targeting motif.The probe exhibits typically turn-on fluorescence property specifically triggered by FAP-α,which is a significant overexpressed membrane protein on pancreatic tumor cells.Interestingly,the peptide modified the TPE dramatically impacts the assembled nanostructure,which can be modulated by peptide sequences.As a result,the peptide FF(PhePhe)modification of TPE as the self-assembled motif provides a suitable balance of the probe with lightup property and nanofiber assembled structure in situ.Finally,our probe could effectively detect the FAP-αon tumor cells with high specificity.Meantime,the nanofibers in situ assembled on the surface of CAFs enhanced the probe accumulation and prolonged the retention for cell imaging.We envision that this study may inspire new insights into the design of nanostructure controlled AIE light-up bio-probe. | Shizhao Lu Xiaoyan Guo Fangling Zhang Xiaodong Li Meishuai Zou Li-Li Li | 2021 | Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,6: | 2 |
| 10 | Vibration analysis of a single row angular contact ball bearing with the coupling errors including the surface roundness and waviness显示文摘Roundness and surface waviness are main manufacturing errors on the components of single row angular contact ball bearings(ACBBs).An analytical study for vibrations of the ACBBs with coupling errors including the roundness and waviness can be useful for the vibration control of the rotating machinery.However,most previous works only focused on the single error modelling method.In this paper,an improved time dependent displacement excitation(TDDE)model is proposed to consider the coupling errors including the roundness and waviness on the inner and outer races of an ACBB.The TDDE model for the roundness and waviness is established by using a combination of several sinusoidal functions.A dynamic model in the previous study is improved to consider the influences of coupling errors including the roundness and waviness.The Hertzian contact theory and Dowson’s method are adopted to calculate the bearing contact stiffness.The time-and frequency-domain vibrations for the experimental and simulation results are compared to show some model validation.The influences of roundness orders and waviness amplitudes on the vibrations of the ACBB are analysed.The obtained results show that the coupling errors including the roundness and waviness have some influence on the time-domain impulse waveform and frequency-domain spectrum characteristics of the bearing accelerations.The differences of the vibrations between the coupling errors and sing error are from 4%to 42%.This paper can provide a useful guidance for the accurate diagnosis of surface imperfections in the ACBBs. | LIU Jing PANG RuiKun XU YaJun DING ShiZhao HE QuBo | 2020 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2020,63,6: | 2 |

In the first process, the RSAE nonlinearly couples to a co-propagating toroidal Alfvén eigenmode(TAE) with the same toroidal and poloidal mode numbers, and generates a geodesic acoustic mode. In the second process, the RSAE couples to a counter-propagating TAE and generates an ion acoustic wave quasi-mode. The condition for the two processes to occur is favored during current ramp.
