| 1 | Load Balancing-Based Routing Optimization Mechanism for Power Communication Networks显示文摘In power communication networks, it is a challenge to decrease the risk of different services efficiently to improve operation reliability. One of the important factor in reflecting communication risk is service route distribution. However, existing routing algorithms do not take into account the degree of importance of services, thereby leading to load unbalancing and increasing the risks of services and networks. A routing optimization mechanism based on load balancing for power communication networks is proposed to address the abovementioned problems. First, the mechanism constructs an evaluation model to evaluate the service and network risk degree using combination of devices, service load, and service characteristics. Second, service weights are determined with modified relative entropy TOPSIS method, and a balanced service routing determination algorithm is proposed. | 2 | A Scenario-Based Evaluation of COVID-19-Related Essential Clinical Resource Demands in China显示文摘The coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic is a global crisis,and medical systems in many countries are overwhelmed with supply shortages and increasing demands to treat patients due to the surge in cases and severe illnesses.This study aimed to assess COVID-19-related essential clinical resource demands in China,based on different scenarios involving COVID-19 spreads and interventions.We used a susceptible–exposed–infectious–hospitalized/isolated–removed(SEIHR)transmission dynamics model to estimate the number of COVID-19 infections and hospitalizations with corresponding essential healthcare resources needed.We found that,under strict non-pharmaceutical interventions(NPIs)or mass vaccination of the population,China would be able to contain community transmission and local outbreaks rapidly.However,under scenarios involving a low intensity of implemented NPIs and a small proportion of the population vaccinated,the use of a peacetime–wartime transition model would be needed for medical source stockpiles and preparations to ensure a normal functioning healthcare system.The implementation of COVID-19 vaccines and NPIs in different periods can influence the transmission of COVID-19 and subsequently affect the demand for clinical diagnosis and treatment.An increased proportion of asymptomatic infections in simulations will not reduce the demand for medical resources;however,attention must be paid to the increasing difficulty in containing COVID-19 transmission due to asymptomatic cases.This study provides evidence for emergency preparations and the adjustment of prevention and control strategies during the COVID-19 pandemic.It also provides guidance for essential healthcare investment and resource allocation. | Ting Zhang Qing Wang Zhiwei Leng Yuan Yang Jin Yang Fangyuan Chen Mengmeng Jia Xingxing Zhang Weiran Qi Yunshao Xu Siya Chen Peixi Dai Libing Ma Luzhao Feng Weizhong Yang | 2021 | Engineering2021,7,7: | 7 |
| 3 | Computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging evaluation of pelvic lymph node metastasis in bladder cancer显示文摘Background:Accurate evaluation of lymph node metastasis in bladder cancer(BCa)is important for disease staging,treatment selection,and prognosis prediction.In this study,we aimed to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of com-puted tomography(CT)and magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)for metastatic lymph nodes in BCa and establish criteria of imaging diagnosis.Methods:We retrospectively assessed the imaging characteristics of 191 BCa patients who underwent radical cys-tectomy.The data regarding size,shape,density,and diffusion of the lymph nodes on CT and/or MRI were obtained and analyzed using Kruskal-Wallis test and χ^(2) test.The optimal cutoff value for the size of metastatic node was deter-mined using the receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve analysis.Results:A total of 184 out of 3317 resected lymph nodes were diagnosed as metastatic lymph nodes.Among 82 imaging-detectable lymph nodes,51 were confirmed to be positive for metastasis.The detection rate of metastatic nodes increased along with more advanced tumor stage(P<0.001).Once the ratio of short-to long-axis diameter≤0.4 or fatty hilum was observed in lymph nodes on imaging,it indicated non-metastases.Besides,lymph nodes with spiculate or obscure margin or necrosis indicated metastases.Furthermore,the short diameter of 6.8 mm was the optimal threshold to diagnose metastatic lymph node,with the area under ROC curve of 0.815.Conclusions:The probability of metastatic nodes significantly increased with more advanced T stages.Once lymph nodes are detected on imaging,the characteristic signs should be paid attention to.The short diameter>6.8 mm may indicate metastatic lymph nodes in BCa. | Yong Li Feiyu Diao Siya Shi Kaiwen Li Wangshu Zhu Shaoxu Wu Tianxin Lin | 2018 | Cancer Communications2018,38,1: | 7 |
| 4 | miR-125b-5p and miR-99a-5p downregulate human γδ T-cell activation and cytotoxicity显示文摘As an important component of innate immunity,human circulatingγδT cells function in rapid responses to infections and tumorigenesis.MicroRNAs(miRNAs)play a critical regulatory role in multiple biological processes and diseases.Therefore,how the functions of circulating humanγδT cells are regulated by miRNAs merits investigation.In this study,we profiled the miRNA expression patterns in human peripheralγδT cells from 21 healthy donors and identified 14 miRNAs that were differentially expressed between peripheralαβT cells andγδT cells.Of the 14 identified genes,7 miRNAs were downregulated,including miR-150-5p,miR-450a-5p,miR-193b-3p,miR-365a-3p,miR-31-5p,miR-125b-5p and miR-99a-5p,whereas the other 7 miRNAs were upregulated,including miR-34a-5p,miR-16-5p,miR-15b-5p,miR-24-3p,miR-22-3p,miR-22-5p and miR-9-5p,inγδT cells compared withαβT cells.In subsequent functional studies,we found that both miR-125b-5p and miR-99a-5p downregulatedγδT cell activation and cytotoxicity to tumor cells.Overexpression of miR-125b-5p or miR-99a-5p inγδT cells inhibitedγδT cell activation and promotedγδT cell apoptosis.Additionally,miR-125b-5p knockdown facilitated the cytotoxicity ofγδT cells toward tumor cells in vitro by increasing degranulation and secretion of IFN-γand TNF-α.Our findings improve the understanding of the regulatory functions of miRNAs inγδT cell activation and cytotoxicity,which has implications for interventional approaches toγδT cell-mediated cancer therapy. | Yuli Zhu Siya Zhang Zinan Li Huaishan Wang Zhen Li Yu Hu Hui Chen Xuan Zhang Lianxian Cui Jianmin Zhang Wei He | 2019 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2019,16,2: | 5 |

| 15 | Lymphatic endothelial cells regulate B-cell homing to lymph nodes via a NIK-dependent mechanism显示文摘B cells home to the lymph nodes(LNs)via high endothelial venules(HEVs)under the guidance of chemokines,particularly CXCL13.However,as CXCL13 is not directly made in HEVs,the molecular mechanism mediating B-cell homing to LNs has remained unclear.We show here that nuclear factor(NF)-κB-inducing kinase(NIK),a kinase mediating activation of the noncanonical NF-κB pathway,functions in lymphatic endothelial cells(LECs)to regulate B-cell homing to LNs.LEC-conditional deletion of NIK in mice did not affect the integrity or global function of lymphatic vessels but caused a severe reduction in the frequency of B cells in LNs.The LEC-specific NIK deficiency did not affect the survival of B cells or the frequency of B cells in the spleen.B-cell adoptive transfer studies revealed that the LEC-specific NIK deletion impairs the ability of LNs to recruit B cells.We further show that NIK mediates expression of the chemokines CXCL13 and CCL19 in LECs.Although CCL19 is also expressed in blood endothelial cells(BECs),CXCL13 is not produced in BECs.These results suggest that NIK regulates naive B-cell homing to LNs via mediating production of the B-cell homing chemokine CXCL13 in LECs. | Jie Yang Siya Zhang Lingyun Zhang Xiaoping Xie Hui Wang Zuliang Jie Meidi Gu Jin-Young Yang Xuhong Cheng Shao-Cong Sun | 2019 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2019,16,2: | 1 |

| 17 | Human activity and climate change triggered the expansion of rocky desertification in the karst areas of Southwestern China显示文摘It is conducive to the sustainable development of human beings in karst regions to research the mechanism of karst rocky desertification(KRD)expansion.Whether the large-scale KRD in southwestern China is caused by climate change or human activities is still controversial.In this study,the evolution of the KRD in southwestern China over the past 2000 years was reconstructed through the high-precisionδ^(13)C record of stalagmites from Shijiangjun(SJJ)Cave,Guizhou Province,China.Theδ^(13)C of the stalagmites from SJJ Cave exhibited heavy values from the Medieval Warm Period(MWP)to the Little Ice Age(LIA).Furthermore,theδ^(13)C records of other stalagmites and tufa from southwestern China also showed the same significant heavy trend.Because the stalagmiteδ^(13)C could record the change of ecological environment,it indicated that the consistent change of the stalagmitesδ^(13)C may record the process of KRD expansion in the karst regions of southwestern China.During the MWP,the stronger Asian summer monsoon and the northward movement of the rain belt led to a dry period in southwestern China and a wet period in northern China.In contrast,it was wet in southwestern China and dry in northern China during the LIA.In addition,after the Jing-Kang event(JK event,AD1127)occurred at the end of the Northern Song dynasty,the political and economic center of China migrated to southern China for the first time,which changed the population distribution pattern of larger population in the north and smaller population in the south.Therefore,the expansion of KRD in southwestern China was exacerbated in the MWP due to the change of climate in southwestern China,the migration of a large number of people,wars,the large-scale reclamation of arable land,and the cultivation of large areas of crops. | Chaojun CHEN Daoxian YUAN Hai CHENG Tsailuen YU Chuanchou SHEN RLawrence EDWARDS Yao WU Siya XIAO Jian ZHANG Tao WANG Ran HUANG Ziqi LIU Tingyong LI Junyun LI | 2021 | Science China Earth Sciences2021,64,10: | 1 |
