| 1 | In-situ study on hydrogen bubble evolution in the liquid Al/solid Ni interconnection by synchrotron radiation X-ray radiography显示文摘Synchrotron X-ray radiography was used to carry out an in-situ observation of the hydrogen bubble evolution in the liquid Al/solid Ni interconnection. The individual bubble mainly grows in a stochastic way during heating. The size distribution for groups of bubbles follows a Gaussian distribution in the early stage and Lifshitz-Slyozov-Wagner(LSW) diffusion controlled distribution in the final stage. The intermetallic compounds(IMCs) first form during solidification, following by the hydrogen bubbles. The bubbles between two adjacent Al3Ni grains grow unidirectionally along the liquid channel, with the bottom being impeded by the Al3Ni phase and the radius of the growth front being smaller. | 3 | Video-based body geometric aware network for 3D human pose estimation显示文摘Three-dimensional human pose estimation(3 D HPE) has broad application prospects in the fields of trajectory prediction, posture tracking and action analysis. However, the frequent self-occlusions and the substantial depth ambiguity in two-dimensional(2 D) representations hinder the further improvement of accuracy. In this paper, we propose a novel video-based human body geometric aware network to mitigate the above problems. Our network can implicitly be aware of the geometric constraints of the human body by capturing spatial and temporal context information from 2 D skeleton data. Specifically, a novel skeleton attention(SA) mechanism is proposed to model geometric context dependencies among different body joints, thereby improving the spatial feature representation ability of the network. To enhance the temporal consistency, a novel multilayer perceptron(MLP)-Mixer based structure is exploited to comprehensively learn temporal context information from input sequences. We conduct experiments on publicly available challenging datasets to evaluate the proposed approach. The results outperform the previous best approach by 0.5 mm in the Human3.6 m dataset. | 10 | Intermetallic CuAu nanoalloy for stable electrochemical CO_(2) reduction显示文摘Copper is one of the most efficient catalysts widely investigated in electrochemical CO_(2) reduction, however, the further development of copper-based catalysts is constrained by severe stability problems. In this work, we developed a method for the synthesis of highly ordered Cu Au intermetallic nanoalloys(o-CuAu) under mild conditions(< 250℃), which can convert carbon dioxide to carbon monoxide with high selectivity and can operate stably for 160 h without current decay. The improved stability is believed to be due to the increased mixing enthalpy and stronger atomic interactions between Cu and Au atoms in the intermetallic nanoalloy. In addition, XPS results, Tafel slope and in situ IR spectroscopy demonstrate that high valence gold atoms on o-CuAu surface promote the reduction of CO_(2). In contrast, the disordered CuAu nanoalloy(d-CuAu) underwent atomic rearrangement to form a Cu-rich structure on the surface, leading to reduced stability. | 11 | Incidence and risk of herpes zoster in patients with ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease in the USA显示文摘Background:Patients with inflammatory bowel disease(IBD)are at increased risk of herpes zoster(HZ).We evaluated the incidence of HZ in ulcerative colitis(UC)and Crohn’s disease(CD)patients and compared this with HZ incidence in a non-IBD population.Methods:We conducted a retrospective cohort study(GSK study identifier:VEO-000043)of adults aged18 years with UC and CD and without IBD who were identified from claims recorded in a US healthcare database between October 2015 and February 2020.Crude HZ incidence rates/1,000 person-years(PY)were calculated,and comparisons of HZ incidence rates between UC or CD and non-IBD cohorts were made using adjusted generalized linear models.Results:The study population comprised a total of 29,928 UC,25,959 CD,and 11,839,329 non-IBD patients.Crude overall HZ incidence rates were 13.64/1,000 PY(UC),15.94/1,000 PY(CD),and 7.95/1,000 PY(non-IBD).UC and CD patients had increased HZ incidence rates,with adjusted incidence rate ratios of 1.35(95%confidence interval[CI],1.26–1.44)and 1.66(95%CI,1.56–1.77),respectively,compared with non-IBD patients.Stratified analysis indicated increased relative rates of HZ in progressively younger age strata in the UC and CD patients compared with non-IBD patients.HZ incidence rates were higher in UC and CD patients who had previously received thiopurines or methotrexate,TNF-inhibitors,or corticosteroids than in UC and CD patients who did not take those medicines.Conclusion:UC and CD patients had increased HZ incidence rates compared with patients without IBD,demonstrating the importance of HZ prevention in IBD patients. | David Singer Philippe Thompson-Leduc Deepshekhar Gupta Wendy Y.Cheng Sara Poston Siyu Ma John E.Pawlowski Mei Sheng Duh Eric D.Morris Francesca Devine Francis A.Farraye | 2023 | Gastroenterology Report2023,11,1: | 0 |
| 12 | Visualized thermoresponsive helix-helix switch of polyphenylacetylene with a wide-range tunable transition temperature显示文摘Polymers with tunable helicity and naked-eye structural change under external stimuli are valuable for fabricating smart materials. Herein, we report a novel thermoresponsive color and fluorescent polyphenylacetylene switch with a tunable critical temperature. It relies on the temperature and solvent sensitivity of intramolecular n→π* interactions between the vicinal carbonyl groups of ester substituents located at 3,5-positions, which are indispensable for forming the cis-cisoid helical conformation of polyene backbones. In a properly chosen solvent, a compressed cis-cisoid helix is stabilized by n→π* interactions at low temperatures and yields a colorless solution. Increasing temperature causes the conformational transition toward an extended cis-transoid helix due to the disruption of n→π* interactions and produces a yellow solution. Reducing the hydrogen bond donating ability or polarity of solvents increases the switching temperature. By introducing a fluorogenic pendant, this conformational transition can also be read out by fluorescence quenching. | 13 | Bioinspired Anti-Icing Hydrogel Enabled by Ice-Nucleating Protein显示文摘Ice-nucleating proteins(INPs)are the most effective ice-nucleating agents that play a significant role in preventing freeze injuries in freeze-tolerant organisms.INPs promote ice nucleation in the extracellular space,harvesting water from cells due to the low vapor pressure of ice compared with water,thereby protecting freeze-tolerant organisms from intracellular freezing.The antifreeze mechanism of INPs offers a unique opportunity to inhibit large-scale freezing by localized control of ice formation,with valuable enlightenment in anti-icing material sciences.By learning from nature,we transferred the excellent ice nucleation-facilitating capability of INPs along with an antifreeze concept of spatially controlled ice nucleation to anti-icing material design,fabricating icephobic coatings that consisted of patterned hydrogel-encapsulated INP(PHINP).The ice patterns were templated by patterned PHINPs via the tuning of ice nucleation so that the ice coverage fraction could be controlled by<30%on almost all PHINP-coated surfaces.Combining PHINP with solar-thermal conversion surfaces endowed the composite coatings with high anti-icing performances at any time of the day. | Zhanhui Wang Baixue Lin Siyu Sheng Sicong Tan Pengchao Wang Yong Tao Zhang Liu Zhiyuan He Jianjun Wang | 2022 | CCS Chemistry2022,4,1: | 0 |
| 14 | Romidepsin(FK228) improves the survival of allogeneic skin grafts through downregulating the production of donor-specific antibody via suppressing the IRE1α-XBP1 pathway显示文摘Antibody-mediated rejection(AMR)is one of the major causes of graft loss after transplantation.Recently,the regulation of B cell differentiation and the prevention of donor-specific antibody(DSA)production have gained increased attention in transplant research.Herein,we established a secondary allogeneic in vivo skin transplant model to study the effects of romidepsin(FK228)on DSA.The survival of grafted skins was monitored daily.The serum levels of DSA and the number of relevant immunocytes in the recipient spleens were evaluated by flow cytometry.Then,we isolated and purified B cells from B6mouse spleens in vitro by magnetic bead sorting.The B cells were cultured with interleukin-4(IL-4)and anti-clusters of differentiation 40(CD40)antibody with or without FK228 treatment.The immunoglobulin G1(IgG1)and IgM levels in the supernatant were evaluated by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-q PCR)and western blotting were conducted to determine the corresponding levels of messenger RNA(mRNA)and protein expression in cultured cells and the recipient spleens.The results showed that FK228 significantly improved the survival of allogeneic skin grafts.Moreover,FK228 inhibited DSA production in the serum along with the suppression of histone deacetylase 1(HADC1)and HDAC2 and the upregulation of the acetylation of histones H2A and H3.It also inhibited the differentiation of B cells to plasma cells,decreased the transcription of positive regulatory domain-containing 1(Prdm1)and X-box-binding protein 1(Xbp1),and decreased the expression of phosphorylated inositol-requiring enzyme 1α(p-IRE1α),XBP1,and B lymphocyte-induced maturation protein-1(Blimp-1).In conclusion,FK228 could decrease the production of antibodies by B cells via inhibition of the IRE1α-XBP1 signaling pathway.Thus,FK228 is considered as a promising therapeutic agent for the clinical treatment of AMR. | Yuliang GUO Siyu SONG Xiaoxiao DU Li TIAN Man ZHANG Hongmin ZHOU Zhonghua Klaus CHEN Sheng CHANG | 2022 | Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2022,23,5: | 0 |
| 15 | Self-supported ultrathin NiCo layered double hydroxides nanosheets electrode for efficient electrosynthesis of formate显示文摘Electrochemical CO_(2)reduction into energy-carrying compounds,such as formate,is of great importance for carbon neutrality,which however suffers from high electrical energy input and liquid products crossover.Herein,we fabricated self-supported ultrathin NiCo layered double hydroxides(LDHs)electrodes as anode for methanol electrooxidation to achieve a high formate production rate(5.89 mmol h^(-1)cm^(-2))coupled with CO_(2)electro-reduction at the cathode.A total formate faradic efficiency of both anode for methanol oxidation and cathode for CO_(2)reduction can reach up to 188%driven by a low cell potential of only 2.06 V at 100 mA cm^(-2)in membrane-electrode assembly(MEA).Physical characterizations demonstrated that Ni^(3+)species,formed on the electrochemical oxidation of Ni-containing hydroxide,acted as catalytically active species for the oxidation of methanol to formate.Furthermore,DFT calculations revealed that ultrathin LDHs were beneficial for the formation of Ni^(3+)in hydroxides and introducing oxygen vacancy in NiCo-LDH could decrease the energy barrier of the rate-determining step for methanol oxidation.This work presents a promising approach for fabricating advanced electrodes towards electrocatalytic reactions. | Haoyuan Chi Jianlong Lin Siyu Kuang Minglu Li Hai Liu Qun Fan Tianxiang Yan Sheng Zhang Xinbin Ma | 2023 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,10: | 0 |

| 17 | Kinetic role of Cu content in reaction process, behavior and their relationship among Cu-Zr-C system显示文摘The influence of Cu content on the reaction process, reaction behavior and obtained products in the Cu-ZrC system, as well as their relationships, were investigated. The results showed that Zr C was synthesized through the diffusion and dissolution of C into a Cu-Zr liquid. Increasing the Cu content enhanced the amount of Cu-Zr liquid formed at the early stage but decreased the amount of C atoms dissolving into the melt at unit time. Consequently, the ignition time initially decreased and then increased. Conversely, with an increased Cu content, the energy required for igniting the neighboring unreacted powders increased,while the heat released by the reaction and the dwell time of the compact at high temperatures decreased.These effects then resulted in the reduction of combustion wave velocity, combustion temperature and Zr C particle size. Furthermore, the synthesis of ZrC is a multistage process, which provides a nonuniform distributed Zr C particle size. | 18 | A combined experimental and theoretical investigation of donor and acceptor interface in efficient aqueous-processed polymer/nanocrystal hybrid solar cells显示文摘As a route to improving the energy conversion of organic-inorganic hybrid-solar cells, we have tested the performance of poly(phenylene vinylene)(PPV), poly(2,5-thienylene vinylene)(PWTV) polymers and CdTe nanocrystal devices produced via aqueous-processing. It is found that small differences in the conformation of the sensitizer lead to dramatic effects on the solar cell efficiency. Using a combination of UV-Vis absorption spectroscopy and first-principles non-adiabatic molecular dynamics(NAMD) based on time-dependent density-functional theory(TDDFT), PPV is found to have a longer electron injection and recombination time despite seeming to have a better energy alignment with the substrate, which leads to a higher devices performance than PWTV.
