4Oxygen vacancies enriched nickel cobalt based nanoflower cathodes: Mechanism and application of the enhanced energy storage显示文摘The rational design of oxygen vacancies and electronic microstructures of electrode materials for energy storage devices still remains a challenge. Herein, we synthesize nickel cobalt-based oxides nanoflower arrays assembled with nanowires grown on Ni foam via the hydrothermal process followed annealing process in air and argon atmospheres respectively. It is found that the annealing atmosphere has a vital influence on the oxygen vacancies and electronic microstructures of resulting NiCo_(2)O_(4) (NCO-Air) and CoNiO_(2) (NCO-Ar) products, which NCO-Ar has more oxygen vacancies and larger specific surface area of 163.48 m^(2)/g. The density functional theory calculation reveals that more oxygen vacancies can provide more electrons to adsorb –OH free anions resulting in superior electrochemical energy storage performance. Therefore, the assembled asymmetric supercapacitor of NCO-Ar//active carbon delivers an excellent energy density of 112.52 Wh/kg at a power density of 558.73 W/kg and the fabricated NCO-Ar//Zn battery presents the specific capacity of 180.20 mAh/g and energy density of 308.14 Wh/kg. 7Li-MOF-based ions regulator enabling fast-charging and dendrite-free lithium metal anode显示文摘Li metal has been regarded as the holy grail for the next-generation Li-ion battery.Li dendrites issues,however,impede its practical application.In general,prolonging the sand time of Li nucleation and regulating homogeneous Li^(+) flux are effective approaches to suppress the dendrites formation and growth.Regarding this view,a functional polypropylene (PP) separator is developed to regulate ion transportation via a newly designed Li-based metal-organic framework (Li-MOF) coating.The Li-MOF crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group P212121 and features a double-walled three-dimensional (3D) structure with 1D channels.The well-defined intrinsic nanochannels of Li-MOF and the steric-hinerance effect both restrict free migration of anions,contributing to a high Li^(+) transference number of 0.65,which improve the Sand time of Li nucleation.Meanwhile,the Li-MOF coating with uniform porous structure promotes homogeneous Li^(+) flux at the surface of Li metal.Furthermore,the Li-MOF coating layer helps to build solid-electrolyte interphase (SEI) layer that comprises of inorganic Li F and Li_(3)N,which further prohibits the dendrites growth.Consequently,a highly stable Li plating/stripping cycling for over 1000 h is achieved.The functional separator also enables high-performance full lithium metal cells,the high-rate and long-stable cycling performance of Li Ni_(0.8)Mn_(0.1)Co_(0.1)(NMC811)-Li and Li Co O_(2)(LCO)-Li cells further demonstrate the feasibility of this concept.Xiang Han Tiantian Wu Lanhui Gu Minfeng Chen Jianzhong Song Dan Tian Jizhang Chen 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,2:0
8A cell transcriptomic profile p ovides insights into adipocytes of porcine mammary gland across development显示文摘Background Studying the composition and developmental mechanisms in mammary gland is crucial for healthy growth of newborns. The mammary gland is inherently heterogeneous, and its physiological function dependents on the gene expression of multiple cell types. Most studies focused on epithelial cells, disregarding the role of neighboring adipocytes.Results Here, we constructed the largest transcriptomic dataset of porcine mammary gland cells thus far. The dataset captured 126,829 high-quality nuclei from physiological mammary glands across five developmental stages(d 90 of gestation, G90;d 0 after lactation, L0;d 20 after lactation, L20;2 d post natural involution, PI2;7 d post natural involution, PI7). Seven cell types were identified, including epithelial cells, adipocytes, endothelial cells, fibroblasts cells, immune cells, myoepithelial cells and precursor cells. Our data indicate that mammary glands at different developmental stages have distinct phenotypic and transcriptional signatures. During late gestation(G90), the differentiation and proliferation of adipocytes were inhibited. Meanwhile, partly epithelial cells were completely differentiated. Pseudo-time analysis showed that epithelial cells undergo three stages to achieve lactation, including cellular differentiation, hormone sensing, and metabolic activation. During lactation(L0 and L20), adipocytes area accounts for less than 0.5% of mammary glands. To maintain their own survival, the adipocyte exhibited a poorly differentiated state and a proliferative capacity. Epithelial cells initiate lactation upon hormonal stimulation. After fulfilling lactation mission, their undergo physiological death under high intensity lactation. Interestingly, the physiological dead cells seem to be actively cleared by immune cells via CCL21-ACKR4 pathway. This biological process may be an important mechanism for maintaining homeostasis of the mammary gland. During natural involution(PI2 and PI7), epithelial cell populations dedifferentiate into mesenchymal stem cells to maintain the lactation potential of mammary glands for the next lactation cycle.Conclusion The molecular mechanisms of dedifferentiation, proliferation and redifferentiation of adipocytes and epithelial cells were revealed from late pregnancy to natural involution. 9Gradient carbonyl-iron/carbon-fiber reinforced composite metamaterial for ultra-broadband electromagnetic wave absorption by multi-scale integrated design显示文摘The demand of high-end electromagnetic wave absorbing materials puts forward higher requirements on comprehensive performances of small thickness,lightweight,broadband,and strong absorption.Herein,a novel multi-layer stepped metamaterial absorber with gradient electromagnetic properties is proposed.The complex permittivity and permeability of each layer are tailored via the proportion of carbonyliron and carbon-fiber dispersing into the epoxy resin.The proposed metamaterial is further optimized via adjusting the electromagnetic parameters and geometric sizes of each layer.Comparing with the four-layer composite with gradient electromagnetic properties which could only realize reflection loss(RL)of less than−6 dB in 2.0-40 GHz,the optimized stepped metamaterial with the same thickness and electromagnetic properties realizes less than−10 dB in the relevant frequency range.Additionally,the RL of less than−15 dB is achieved in the frequency range of 11.2-21.4 GHz and 28.5-40 GHz.The multiple electromagnetic wave absorption mechanism is discussed based on the experimental and simulation results,which is believed to be attributed to the synergy effect induced by multi-scale structures of the metamaterial.Therefore,combining multi-layer structures and periodic stepped structures into a novel gradient absorbing metamaterial would give new insights into designing microwave absorption devices for broadband electromagnetic protections.Qian Zhou Tiantian Shi Bei Xue Shengyue Gu Wei Ren Fang Ye Xiaomeng Fan Wenyan Duan Zihan Zhang Lifei Du 2023International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2023,30,6:0
10A novel lightweight metamaterial with ultra broadband electromagnetic wave absorption induced by three-dimensional CNTs conductive-coated arrays显示文摘Lightweight metamaterials for broadband electromagnetic wave absorption have become a significant requirement for electromagnetic interference and stealth technologies.In this study,a novel lightweight metamaterial absorber with three-dimensional(3D)carbon nanotubes(CNTs)conductive-coated arrays is designed and fabricated through 3D printing and dipping process,which realized less than-10 dB reflection loss in the frequency range of 7.0–40 GHz.The effect of the sheet resistance of CNTs conductive coatings and geometric parameters of meta-structure on the frequency-dependent absorption properties is investigated,and the improved absorbing efficiency is discussed based on the synergy effect of multiscale structures of 3D conductive-coated arrays.Moreover,the volume of the proposed ultra broadband absorber is reduced by approximately 60.5%compared with that of the dense plate structure,indicating a significant lightening with efficient absorbing capacities.Additionally,the absorption bandwidth and intensity of the proposed absorber have insensitive changes with the variation of incident angle.Therefore,an ultra broadband electromagnetic absorption is designed and realized,indicating a promising lightweight ultra broadband electromagnetic absorbing candidate for lightweight metamaterial absorbers.ZHOU Qian SHI TianTian XUE Bei GU ShengYue REN Wei YE Fang FAN XiaoMeng ZHANG YuXin QI ChenXi DU LiFei 2023Science China(Technological Sciences)2023,66,3:0
11The First Crested Duck Genome Reveals Clues to Genetic Compensation and Crest Cushion Formation显示文摘The Chinese crested(CC)duck is a unique indigenous waterfowl breed,which has a crest cushion that affects its survival rate.Therefore,the CC duck is an ideal model to investigate the genetic compensation response to maintain genetic stability.In the present study,we first generated a chromosome-level genome of CC ducks.Comparative genomics revealed that genes related to tissue repair,immune function,and tumors were under strong positive selection,indicating that these adaptive changes might enhance cancer resistance and immune response to maintain the genetic stability of CC ducks.We also assembled a Chinese spot-billed(Csp-b)duck genome,and detected the structural variations(SVs)in the genome assemblies of three ducks(i.e.,CC duck,Csp-b duck,and Peking duck).Functional analysis revealed that several SVs were related to the immune system of CC ducks,further strongly suggesting that genetic compensation in the anti-tumor and immune systems supports the survival of CC ducks.Moreover,we confirmed that the CC duck originated from the mallard ducks.Finally,we revealed the physiological and genetic basis of crest traits and identified a causative mutation in TAS2R40 that leads to crest formation.Overall,the findings of this study provide new insights into the role of genetic compensation in adaptive evolution.Guobin Chang Xiaoya Yuan Qixin Guo Hao Bai Xiaofang Cao Meng Liu Zhixiu Wang Bichun Li Shasha Wang Yong Jiang Zhiquan Wang Yang Zhang Qi Xu Qianqian Song Rui Pan Lingling Qiu Tiantian Gu Xinsheng Wu Yulin Bi Zhengfeng Cao Yu Zhang Yang Chen Hong Li Jianfeng Liu Wangcheng Dai Guohong Chen 2023Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2023,21,3:0
12Development and identification of two novel wheat-rye 6R derivative lines with adult-plant resistance to powdery mildew and high-yielding potential显示文摘Powdery mildew,caused by Blumeria graminis f.sp.tritici(Bgt),is a devastating disease that seriously threatens wheat yield and quality.To control this disease,host resistance is the most effective measure.Compared with the resistance genes from common wheat,alien resistance genes can better withstand infection of this highly variable pathogen.Development of elite alien germplasm resources with powdery mildew resistance and other key breeding traits is an attractive strategy in wheat breeding.In this study,three wheat-rye germplasm lines YT4-1,YT4-2,and YT4-3 were developed through hybridization between octoploid triticale and common wheat,out of which the lines YT4-1 and YT4-2 conferred adult-plant resistance(APR)to powdery mildew while the line YT4-3 was susceptible to powdery mildew during all of its growth stages.Using genomic in situ hybridization,multi-color fluorescence in situ hybridization,multi-color GISH,and molecular marker analysis,YT4-1,YT4-2,and YT4-3 were shown to be cytogenetically stable wheat-rye 6R addition and T1RS.1BL translocation line,6RL ditelosomic addition and T1RS.1BL translocation line,and T1RS.1BL translocation line,respectively.Compared with previously reported wheat-rye derivative lines carrying chromosome 6R,YT4-1 and YT4-2 showed stable APR without undesirable pleiotropic effects on agronomic traits.Therefore,these novel wheat-rye 6R derivative lines are expected to be promising bridge resources in wheat disease breeding.Guohao Han Jing Wang Hanwen Yan Tiantian Gu Lijun Cao Shiyu Liu Xiuquan Li Yilin Zhou Jieru Fan Zhipeng Shi Hong Liu Lihui Li Diaoguo An 2024The Crop Journal2024,12,1:0
