| 1 | The enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP显示文摘In this paper we present the enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP. eXTP is a space science mission designed to study fundamental physics under extreme conditions of density, gravity and magnetism. The mission aims at determining the equation of state of matter at supra-nuclear density, measuring effects of QED, and understanding the dynamics of matter in strong-field gravity. In addition to investigating fundamental physics, eXTP will be a very powerful observatory for astrophysics that will provide observations of unprecedented quality on a variety of galactic and extragalactic objects. | 2 | Multi-label Image Classification via Coarse-to-Fine Attention显示文摘Great efforts have been made by using deep neural networks to recognize multi-label images.Since multi-label image classification is very complicated,many studies seek to use the attention mechanism as a kind of guidance.Conventional attention-based methods always analyzed images directly and aggressively,which is difficult to well understand complicated scenes.We propose a global/local attention method that can recognize a multi-label image from coarse to fine by mimicking how human-beings observe images.Our global/local attention method first concentrates on the whole image,and then focuses on its local specific objects.We also propose a joint max-margin objective function,which enforces that the minimum score of positive labels should be larger than the maximum score of negative labels horizontally and vertically.This function further improve our multi-label image classification method.We evaluate the effectiveness of our method on two popular multi-label image datasets(i.e.,Pascal VOC and MS-COCO).Our experimental results show that our method outperforms state-of-the-art methods. | LYU Fan LI Linyan Victor S.Sheng FU Qiming HU Fuyuan | 2019 | Chinese Journal of Electronics2019,28,6: | 3 |
| 3 | Possible key residues that determine left gastric artery blood flow response to PACAP in dogs显示文摘AIM:To determine the effect of pituitary adenylate cy-clase-activating polypeptide (PACAP) on left gastric artery (LGA) flow and to unveil the structural or functional important sites that may be critical for discrimination of different receptor subtypes. METHODS: Peptides, including PACAP-27, PACAP-38, amino acid substituted PACAP-27 and C-terminus truncated analogues PACAP (27-38), were synthesized by a simultaneous multiple solid-phase peptide synthesizer. Flow probes of an ultrasound transit-time blood flowmeter were placed around the LGA of beagle dogs. Whenpeptides were infused intravenously, the blood flow was measured.RESULTS: [Ala4, Val5]-PACAP-27 caused a concentration-dependent vasodepressor action which was similar to that caused by PACAP-27. The LGA blood flow response to [Ala4, Val5]-PACAP-27 was significantly higher than that to PACAP-27, which was similar to that to vasoactive intestinal polypeptide (VIP) at the same dose. [Ala6]-PACAP-27 did not increase the peak LGA ? ow. [Gly8]-PACAP-27 showed a similar activity to VIP. [Asn24, Ser25, Ile26]-PACAP-27 did not change the activity of peptides at all doses. | 12 | Countrywide Survey for MERS-Coronavirus Antibodies in Dromedaries and Humans in Pakistan显示文摘Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS-CoV) is a zoonotic pathogen capable of causing severe respiratory disease in humans. Although dromedary camels are considered as a major reservoir host, the MERS-CoV infection dynamics in camels are not fully understood. Through surveillance in Pakistan, nasal (n = 776) and serum (n = 1050)samples were collected from camels between November 2015 and February 2018. Samples were collected from animal markets, free-roaming herds and abattoirs. An in-house ELISA was developed to detect IgG against MERS-CoV. A total of 794 camels were found seropositive for MERS-CoV. Prevalence increased with the age and the highest seroprevalence was recorded in camels aged [ 10 years (81.37%) followed by those aged 3.1–10 years (78.65%) and B 3 years (58.19%).Higher prevalence was observed in female (78.13%) as compared to male (70.70%). Of the camel nasal swabs, 22 were found to be positive by RT-qPCR though with high Ct values. Moreover, 2,409 human serum samples were also collected from four provinces of Pakistan during 2016–2017.
