| 1 | Factors affecting genomic selection revealed by empirical evidence in maize显示文摘Genomic selection(GS) as a promising molecular breeding strategy has been widely implemented and evaluated for plant breeding, because it has remarkable superiority in enhancing genetic gain, reducing breeding time and expenditure, and accelerating the breeding process. In this study the factors affecting prediction accuracy(rMG) in GS were evaluated systematically, using six agronomic traits(plant height, ear height, ear length, ear diameter,grain yield per plant and hundred-kernel weight) evaluated in one natural and two biparental populations. The factors examined included marker density, population size, heritability,statistical model, population relationships and the ratio of population size between the training and testing sets, the last being revealed by resampling individuals in different proportions from a population. Prediction accuracy continuously increased as marker density and population size increased and was positively correlated with heritability; rMGshowed a slight gain when the training set increased to three times as large as the testing set. Low predictive performance between unrelated populations could be attributed to different allele frequencies, and predictive ability and prediction accuracy could be improved by including more related lines in the training population. Among the seven statistical models examined, including ridge regression best linear unbiased prediction(RR-BLUP), genomic BLUP(GBLUP), Bayes A, Bayes B, Bayes C, Bayesian least absolute shrinkage and selection operator(Bayesian LASSO), and reproducing kernel Hilbert space(RKHS), the RKHS and additive-dominance model(Add + Dom model) showed credible ability for capturing non-additive effects, particularly for complex traits with low heritability. | 8 | Numerical investigation for effects of natural light and ventilation on 3D tomato body heat distribution in a Venlo greenhouse显示文摘Maintaining suitable temperature level around tomato in the greenhouse is essential for the high-quality production.However,in summer,the temperature level around the tomato is usually unclear except using a high-precision temperature imager.To solve this problem,thermal performance of 3D(three-dimensional)tomato model built based on SolidWorks was investigated by the computational fluid dynamics(CFD)simulations.To assess the effect of temperature distribution around the tomato,a simplified 3D tomato numerical model was firstly validated by a set of field measurement data.The light intensity and indoor ventilation were regarded as the mainly environment factors in the Venlo greenhouse,thermal stratification around tomatoes at different time of day was further studied.The numerical results illustrated the different temperature distribution around tomato body under different radiation intensity.It was found that ventilation could obviously adjust the temperature gradient around the tomato,and alleviate high temperature effect particularly in summer.Suitable ventilation could create a suitable thermal environment for the tomato growth.This study clearly demonstrated 3D temperature distribution around tomatoes,which is beneficial to provide the reference for accurate detection of 3D tomato temperature and appropriate thermal environment design. | Guanghui Yu Shanhong Zhang Shuai Li Minshu Zhang Hüseyin Benli Yang Wang | 2023 | Information Processing in Agriculture2023,10,4: | 0 |

| 10 | A New Observation Operator for the Assimilation of Satellite-Derived Relative Humidity:Methodology and Experiments with Three Sea Fog Cases over the Yellow Sea显示文摘Assimilation of satellite-derived relative humidity(Satellite-RH)is capable of improving sea fog forecasts by saturating the background in the observed foggy areas.Previous studies have achieved saturation by increasing the moisture only(Method-q).However,this method can lead to large wetting and warming biases within the marine atmospheric boundary layer(MABL).A new method using an RH observation operator(Method-RH)is designed to alleviate these biases by simultaneously adjusting the moisture and the temperature.For comparison,saturation is also achieved by decreasing the temperature only(Method-t).The three Satellite-RH assimilation methods are implemented within the Gridpoint Statistical Interpolation-based three-dimensional variational system and examined for three sea fog cases over the Yellow Sea.The three cases on 28 April 2007,9 April 2009,and 29 March 2015 fail to be predicted without the Satellite-RH assimilation as their MABLs have both warming and drying,drying,and warming biases,respectively.Intercomparisons and evaluations show that Method-RH has the best overall performance of the three methods in terms of the forecast of sea fog and MABL structures as only Method-RH can fully or partially address all the bias scenarios in forecasting sea fog.Compared with Method-q,Method-RH produces more well-defined sea fog areas by adding a smaller amount of moisture as well as decreasing the temperature.Compared with Methodt,Method-RH enlarges the sea fog areas by increasing the amount of moisture in addition to the cooling. | Yue YANG Yongming WANG Shanhong GAO Xiayu YUAN | 2021 | Journal of Meteorological Research2021,35,6: | 0 |

| 12 | ELECTRIC FIELD MICROSENSOR BASED ON THE STRUCTURE OF PIEZOELECTRIC INTERDIGITATED CANTILEVER BEAMS显示文摘This paper presents the design, fabrication, and preliminary experimental result of an electric field microsensor based on the structure of piezoelectric interdigitated cantilevers with staggered vertical vibration mode. The working principle of this electric field microsensor is demonstrated, and the induced charges and structural parameters of this microsensor are simulated by the finite element method. The electric field microsensor was fabricated by Micro-Electro Mechanical Systems(MEMS) technique. Each cantilever is a multilayer compound structure(Al/Si3N4/ Pt/PZT/Pt/ Ti/SiO 2/Si), and Piezoelectric, PieZ oelectric ceramic Transducer(PZT)(PbZ rxTi(1–x)O3) layer, prepared by sol-gel method, is used as the piezoelectric material to drive the cantilevers vibrating. This electric field microsensor was tested under the DC electric field with the field intensity from 0 to 5×104 V/m. The output voltage signal of the electric field microsensor has a good linear relationship to the intensity of applied electric field.
