1Oxidative Stress and Free Radical Damage in Patients With Acute Dipterex Poisoning显示文摘Objective To investigate whether acute dipterex poisoning (ADP) may cause oxidative stress and free radical damage in the bodies of acute dipterex poisoning patients (ADPPs), and to explore the mechanisms by which ADP may cause oxidative stress and free radical damage. Methods Fifty ADPPs and fifty healthy adult volunteers (HAVs) whose ages, gender and others were matched with the ADPPs were enrolled in a randomized controlled study, in which concentrations of nitric oxide (NO), vitamin C (VC), vitamin E (VE) and (-carotene ((-CAR) in plasma as well as concentration of lipoperoxide (LPO), and activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), glutathione peroxidase (GPX) and acetylcholinesterase (AChE) in erythrocytes were determined by spectrophotometric analytical methods. Results Compared with the average values of experimental parameters in the HAVs group, the average values of plasma NO and erythrocyte LPO in the ADPPs group were significantly increased (P<0.0001), while those of plasma VC, VE and β-CAR as well as erythrocyte SOD, CAT, GPX and AChE in the ADPPs group were significantly decreased (P<0.0001). Bivariate correlation analysis and partial correlation analysis suggested that when NO and LPO values were increased, and VC, VE, (-CAR, SOD, CAT and GPX values were decreased in the ADPPs, AChE value was decreased gradually in the ADPPs (P<0.001-0.0001). Reliability analysis of experimental parameters reflecting oxidative stress and free radical damage in the ADPPs showed that the reliability coefficient (8 items) alpha=0.6909, and the standardized item alpha=0.8574. 2Lymphocyte Subsets and Sister-chromatid Exchanges in the Students Exposed to Formaldehyde Vapor显示文摘The present report evaluates the effects of formaldehyde (FA) exposure on peripheral lymphocytes by using heth genetic and immunological parameters. Twenty-three non-smoking students in the study had inhalation exposure to 0.508 ±0. 299 mg/m3 of FA for a Period of 8 weeks (3h × 3 times each week) during anatomy classes. As for composition of lymphocyte subsets after FA exposare,significant increase was found in the percentage of CD19(B cells), while sighficant decrease was observed in CD3(total T cells), CD4(T helper-inducer cells), and CD8(T cytotoxic-suppressior cells) with a P<0 .01. Increase in the ratio of T-helper-inducer cells to T-cytotoxic-suppressor cells (T4 / T8) was also observed with statistical sighcance after exposure (P < 0.001). In the meanwhile,no significant difference (P > 0 .05) was reported between lymphocyte prolifendion rate and sisterchromatid exchange (SCE) at the exposure level and duration. 4Experimental research on coal seam similar material proportion and its application显示文摘In this paper, the optimization design of the low strength mechanical test and orthogonal test have been analyzed in order to simulate the mechanical properties of thick and extra-thick coal seam accurately in a similar material simulation test. The results show that the specimen can reach a wider range of strength when cement has been used compared to that of gypsum, suggesting that cement is more suitable for making coal seam in similar material simulation tests. The uniaxial compressive strength is more sensitive to cement than coal or sand. The proportion of coal and sand do not play a decisive role in uniaxial compressive strength. The uniaxial compressive strength and specimen density decrease as the mass percent of coal and aggregate–binder ratio rise. There is a positive correlation between uniaxial compressive strength and density. The No. 5 proportion(cement: sand: water: activated carbon: coal = 6:6:7:1.1:79.9)was chosen to be used in the similar material simulation test of steeply dipping and extra-thick coal seam with a density of 0.913 g/cm^3 and an uniaxial compressive strength of 0.076 MPa which are in accordance with the similarity theory. 5Spatial and Temporal Variability of Thermal Stress to China's Coral Reefs in South China Sea显示文摘Coral bleaching, caused by elevated sea surface temperature(SST), is occurring more frequently and seriously worldwide. Due to the lack of field observations, we understand little about the large-scale variability of thermal stress in the South China Sea(SCS) and its effect on China's coral reefs. This paper used 4-km high resolution gap-filled SST(Filled SST) data and thermal stress data related to coral bleaching derived from Coral Reef Temperature Anomaly Database(Co RTAD) to quantify the spatial and temporal characteristics of chronic thermal stress and acute thermal stress to China's coral reefs in SCS from 1982 to 2009. We analyzed the trend of SST in summer and the thermal stress frequency, intensity and duration during this period. The results indicate that, as a chronic thermal stress, summer mean SST in SCS shows an average upward trend of 0.2℃/decade and the spatial pattern is heterogeneous. Waters of Xisha Islands and Dongsha Islands of the northern SCS are warming faster through time compared to Zhongsha Islands and Nansha Islands sea areas of the southern SCS. High frequency bleaching related thermal stress events for these reefs are seen in the area to the northwest of Luzon Island. Severe anomaly thermal stress events are more likely to occur during the subsequent year of the El Nino year for these coral reefs. 7Investigation of HGV and TTV infection in sera and saliva from non-hepatitis patients with oral diseases显示文摘AIM: To determine the frequencies of HGV and TTV infectionsin serum and saliva samples of non-hepatitis patients withoral diseases in Hangzhou area, and to understand thecorrelation between detected results of HGV RNA and/or TTVDNA in sera and in saliva from the same patientsMETHODS: RT-nested PCR for HGV RNA detection andsemi-nested PCR for nv DNA detection were performed inthe serum and saliva samples from 226 non-hepatitis patientswith oral diseases, and nucleotide sequence analysis.RESULTS: Twenty-seven (11.9 %) and 21 (9.3 %) of the226 serum samples were only positive for HGV RNA andlrv DNA, respectively. 10 (4.4 %) and 9 (3.9 %) of the226 saliva samples were only positive for HGV RNA andTTV DNA, respectively. And 7 (3.1%) of the serum samplesand 2 (0.9 %) of the saliva samples showed the positiveamplification results for both HGV RNA and Irv DNA. 12saliva samples from the 34 patients (35.3 %) with HGV orHGV/TTV viremia and 11 saliva samples from the 28 patients(39.3 %) with TTV or HGV/TTV viremia were HGV RNAdetectable, respectively, including two patients positive forboth HGV RNA and TTV DNA in serum and saliva samples.No saliva samples from the 226 patients were found to beHGV RNA or nv DNA detectable while their serum sampleswere negative for HGV or TTV. Homologies of the nucleotidesequences of HGV and TTV amplification products from theserum and saliva samples of the two patients comparedwith the reported sequences were 88.65-91.49 % and65.32-66.67 %, respectively. In comparison with thenucleotide sequences of amplification products betweenserum and from saliva sample from any one of the twopatients, the homologies were 98.58 % and 99.29 % forHGV, and were 98.65 % and 98.20 % for rTV, respectively.CONCLUSION: Relatively high carrying rates of HGV and/or TTV in the sera of non-hepatitis patients with oral diseasesin Hangzhou area are demonstrated. Parts of the carriersare HGV and/or TTV positive in their saliva. 8Influence of processing temperature on microstructure and microhardness of copper subjected to high-pressure torsion显示文摘Cu samples were subjected to high-pressure torsion (HPT) with up to 6 turns at room temperature (RT) and liquid nitrogen temperature (LNT),respectively.The effects of temperature on grain refinement and microhardness variation were investigated.For the samples after HPT processing at RT,the grain size reduced from 43 μm to 265 nm,and the Vickers microhardness increased from HV52 to HV140.However,for the samples after HPT processing at LNT,the value of microhardness reached its maximum of HV150 near the center of the sample and it decreased to HV80 at the periphery region.Microstructure observations revealed that HPT straining at LNT induced lamellar structures with thickness less than 100 nm appearing near the central region of the sample,but further deformation induced an inhomogeneous distribution of grain sizes,with submicrometer-sized grains embedded inside micrometer-sized grains.The submicrometer-sized grains with high dislocation density indicated their nonequilibrium nature.On the contrary,the micrometer-sized grains were nearly free of dislocation,without obvious deformation trace remaining in them.These images demonstrated that the appearance of micrometer-sized grains is the result of abnormal grain growth of the deformed fine grains.XIE ZiLing1,2,XIE JiJia2,HONG YouShi2 & WU XiaoLei2 1 College of Architecture and Civil Engineering,University of Wenzhou,Wenzhou 325035,China 2 State Key Laboratory of Nonlinear Mechanics,Institute of Mechanics,Chinese Academy of Sciences,Beijing 100190,China 2010Science China(Technological Sciences)2010,53,6:6
9Effectiveness of Catch-Up Vaccinations after COVID-19 Containment--China,2020显示文摘Introduction:In the early stages of the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)epidemic in China,the highest level of public health emergency response(Level 1 Response)was launched in all province-level administrative divisions(PLADs)across the country.Provision of vaccination services was selectively suspended due to the physical distancing and gathering restrictions required of Level 1 Response.The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the impact of COVID-19 on vaccination services and the effectiveness of selective vaccination service suspension and catch-up vaccinations in China.Methods:Vaccine doses administered,routine vaccination coverage levels,catch-up vaccine doses administered,and coverage levels after the catch-up campaign were determined from individual vaccination records in sampled clinics,standard routine immunization administrative coverage reports,and catch-up vaccination activity reports submitted by PLADs between October 2019 and October 2020.Results:National Immunization Program(NIP)and non-NIP vaccine doses administered in sampled clinics decreased by 80% and 90%,respectively,compared with doses administered before the COVID-19 pandemic.Coverage with the birth dose of hepatitis B vaccine(HepB1)and the Bacillus Calmette-Guérin vaccine(BCG)—two vaccinations recommended to continue throughout the epidemic due to their timecritical nature—were maintained at over 85%,while coverage of other NIP vaccines decreased to below 60%by February 2020.Catch-up vaccination coverage of the 29 PLADs,excluding Xinjiang and Xizang(Tibet),began in April 2020 and exceeded 90%;Hubei catch-up coverage was 95% by October 2020.Conclusions and Implications for Public Health Practice:The COVID-19 pandemic had a great impact on China’s vaccination services.During the epidemic and time of local transmission of the coronavirus,HepB1,BCG,rabies vaccine for postexposure prophylaxis,and tetanus antitoxin(TAT)for wound prophylaxis were maintained at high levels.Of the 69 million vaccine doses postponed during the time of local transmission of the coronavirus,94% were administered in the catch-up campaign.China’s pandemic immunization practices may provide evidence for other countries’immunization programs.Jing Wu Wenzhou Yu Lei Cao Lingsheng Cao Lance Rodewald Jiakai Ye Yifan Song Li Li Xiaoxue Liu Ning Wen Fuzhen Wang Lixin Hao Yixing Li Hui Zheng Keli Li Chao Ma Dan Wu Yanmin Liu Guomin Zhang Zhijie An Huaqing Wang Zundong Yin 2020China CDC weekly2020,2,50:6

11Decolourization of Reactive Brilliant Blue KN-R by immobilized cells of Aspergillus ficuum显示文摘Aspergillus ficuum was immobilized with sodium alginate, and decolourization of Reactive Brilliant Blue KN-R was studied on immobilized and free Aspergillus ficuum. The optimal preparation condition of the strain immobilization was obtained by the orthogonal test, it is sodium alginate 3%, CaCl2 5%, wet mycelia 30 g/L, calcific time 8 h. It was found that the immobilized cells could effectively decolourize Reactive Brilliant Blue KN-R, the optimum temperature and pH were 33℃ and 5.0, respectively. The kinetics study of decolourization of immobilized cells showed that the decolourization of Aspergillus ficuum immobilized conformed to zero-order reaction model. The decolourization efficiency of immobilized cell compared with that of free cell in different physical conditions. Results showed that the decolourization of immobilized cells with mycelia had the best efficiency. 12Selective oxidation of biomass derived 5-hydroxymethylfurfural to 2,5-diformylfuran using sodium nitrite显示文摘A mild and simple process for the effective oxidation of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural(HMF) into 2,5-diformylfuran(DFF) has been developed using Na NO_2 as the oxidant. Some important reaction parameters were investigated to optimize the oxidation of HMF into DFF. It was found that the reaction solvent was very crucial for this reaction. 13Photoelectrocatalytic oxidation of GMP on an ITO electrode modified with clay/[Ru(phen)_2(dC18bpy)]^(2+) hybrid film显示文摘An indium tin oxide (ITO) electrode modified with monolayer clay/[Ru(phen)2(dC18bpy)]2+ (phen= 1,10-phenanthroline, dC18bpy = 4,4′-dioctadecyl-2,2′ bipyridyl) hybrid film has been fabricated by the Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) method. Atomic force microscopy revealed that the single-layered hybrid film of clay/[Ru(phen)2(dC18bpy)]2+ (denoted as Clay-Ru) was closely packed at a surface pressure of 25 mN-m-1 and had a thickness of 3.4±0.5 nm. Cyclic voltammograms showed that the redox current of Ru(Ⅱ) complex decreased when incorporated into the clay film, suggesting that the clay layer acts as a barrier against electron transfer. When applied to oxidizing the mononucleotide of guanosine 5′-monophosphate (GMP), a large catalytic oxidative current was achieved on the Clay-Ru(Ⅱ) modified ITO electrode at the external potential above 900 mV (vs. Ag|AgCl|KCl ) and, more significantly, this response was further enhanced by light irradiation (λ>360 nm), in which the photocurrent is increased about 11 times in comparison with that of a bare ITO. 15Gene expression profiling in porcine mammary gland during lactation and identification of breed- and developmental-stage-specific genes显示文摘A total of 28941 ESTs were sequenced from five 5?-directed non-normalized cDNA li-braries, which were assembled into 2212 contigs and 5642 singlets using CAP3. These sequences were annotated and clustered into 6857 unique genes, 2072 of which having no functional annotations were considered as novel genes. These genes were further classified into Gene Ontology categories. By comparing the expression profiles, we identified some breed- and developmental-stage-specific gene groups. These genes may be relative to reproductive performance or play important roles in milk synthesis, secretion and mammary involution. 17Convolutional Neural Network Based on Spatial Pyramid for Image Classification显示文摘A novel convolutional neural network based on spatial pyramid for image classification is proposed.The network exploits image features with spatial pyramid representation.First,it extracts global features from an original image,and then different layers of grids are utilized to extract feature maps from different convolutional layers.Inspired by the spatial pyramid,the new network contains two parts,one of which is just like a standard convolutional neural network,composing of alternating convolutions and subsampling layers.But those convolution layers would be averagely pooled by the grid way to obtain feature maps,and then concatenated into a feature vector individually.Finally,those vectors are sequentially concatenated into a total feature vector as the last feature to the fully connection layer.This generated feature vector derives benefits from the classic and previous convolution layer,while the size of the grid adjusting the weight of the feature maps improves the recognition efficiency of the network.Experimental results demonstrate that this model improves the accuracy and applicability compared with the traditional model.Gaihua Wang Meng Lu Tao Li Guoliang Yuan Wenzhou Liu 2018Journal of Beijing Institute of Technology2018,27,4:2

19Multi-step ahead short-term predictions of storm surge level using CNN and LSTM network显示文摘Storm surges pose significant danger and havoc to the coastal residents’safety,property,and lives,particularly at offshore locations with shallow water levels.Predictions of storm surges with hours of warning time are important for evacuation measures in low-lying regions and coastal management plans.In addition to experienced predictions and numerical models,artificial intelligence(AI)techniques are also being used widely for short-term storm surge prediction owing to their merits in good level of prediction accuracy and rapid computations.Convolutional neural network(CNN)and long short-term memory(LSTM)are two of the most important models among AI techniques.However,they have been scarcely utilised for surge level(SL)forecasting,and combinations of the two models are even rarer.This study applied CNN and LSTM both individually and in combination towards multi-step ahead short-term storm surge level prediction using observed SL and wind information.The architectures of the CNN,LSTM,and two sequential techniques of combining the models(LSTM–CNN and CNN–LSTM)were constructed via a trial-and-error approach and knowledge obtained from previous studies.As a case study,11 a of hourly observed SL and wind data of the Xiuying Station,Hainan Province,China,were organised as inputs for training to verify the feasibility and superiority of the proposed models.The results show that CNN and LSTM had evident advantages over support vector regression(SVR)and multilayer perceptron(MLP),and the combined models outperformed the individual models(CNN and LSTM),mostly by 4%–6%.However,on comparing the model computed predictions during two severe typhoons that resulted in extreme storm surges,the accuracy was found to improve by over 10%at all forecasting steps.Bao Wang Shichao Liu Bin Wang Wenzhou Wu Jiechen Wang Dingtao Shen 2021Acta Oceanologica Sinica2021,40,11:2
20The impact of Kuroshio water on the source water of the southeastern Taiwan Strait:numerical results显示文摘Model output from a Pacific basin-wide three-dimensional physical-biogeochemical model during the period of1991 to 2008 was used to investigate the impact of Kuroshio water on the source water of the southeastern Taiwan Strait. Based on the characteristic salinities of both Kuroshio water and the South China Sea water, a Kuroshio impact index(KII) was designed to measure the degree of impact. The KII correlates significantly with the northeast-southwest component of wind stress, but the former lags the latter by approximately two months. The correlation coefficient between them increases from 0.267 4 to 0.852 9, with a lag time increasing from 0 to 63 days. The impact of Kuroshio Water is greater in winter and spring than in summer and autumn. At the interannual time scale, El Ni?o and La Ni?a events play an important role in impacting the KII. During El Ni?o events, more Kuroshio water contributes to the source water of the southeastern Taiwan Strait.
