| 1 | Erythrocyte membrane-camouflaged carrier-free nanoassembly of FRET photosensitizer pairs with high therapeutic efficiency and high security for programmed cancer synergistic phototherapy显示文摘Phototherapy has been intensively investigated as a non-invasive cancer treatment option.However,its clinical translation is still impeded by unsatisfactory therapeutic efficacy and severe phototoxicity.To achieve high therapeutic efficiency and high security,a nanoassembly of Forster Resonance Energy Transfer(FRET)photosensitizer pairs is developed on basis of dual-mode photosensitizer co-loading and photocaging strategy.For proof-of-concept,an erythrocyte-camouflaged FRET pair co-assembly of chlorine e6(Ce6,FRET donor)and 1,1′-dioctadecyl-3,3,3′,3′-tetramethylindotricarbocyanine iodide(DiR,FRET acceptor)is investigated for breast cancer treatment.Notably,Ce6 in the nanoassemby is quenched by DiR and could be unlocked for photodynamic therapy(PDT)only when DiR is photobleached by 808-nm laser.As a result,Ce6-caused phototoxicity could be well controlled.Under cascaded laser irradiation(808-660 nm),tumor-localizing temperature rise following laser irradiation on DiR not only induces tumor cell apoptosis but also facilitates the tumor penetration of NPs,relieves tumor hypoxia,and promotes the PDT efficacy of Ce6.Such FRET pair-based nanoassembly provides a new strategy for developing multimodal phototherapy nanomedicines with high efficiency and good security. | Xuanbo Zhang Jianchen Xiong Kaiyuan Wang Han Yu Bingjun Sun Hao Ye Zhiqiang Zhao Ning Wang Yuequan Wang Shenwu Zhang Wutong Zhao Haotian Zhang Zhonggui He Cong Luo Jin Sun | 2021 | Bioactive Materials2021,6,8: | 4 |

| 3 | Expression,Purification and Identification of Recombinant Mouse Interleukin 21 Protein in E.coli显示文摘Interleukin 21 (IL-21) is a novel typeⅠcytokine that is significantly homologous to IL-2, IL-4 and IL-15. Its receptor complex containsγc chain which is also a component of receptors for IL-2, IL-4, IL-7, IL-9 and IL-15, so there may be overlapping or relevancies in their biological functions. IL-21 is capable of co-stimulating mature T cells, B cells, NK cells, and of stimulating CD16 expression on the surface of NK cells to induce ADCC in innate immune response. It can also strengthen the anti-tumor effect of the cellular immunity, especially via enhancing the activities of NK and antigen specific CTL cells. Thus, IL-21 is a potential useful therapeutic molecule for immunotherapy of malignancies, by eliciting innate and adaptive anti-tumor immune responses in tumor-bearing hosts. In order to study the biological functions of IL-21, we constructed a mIL-21 prokaryotic expression plasmid and expressed the recombinant mIL-21 protein in E. coli in present study. The recombinant plasmid pET28a/mIL-21 with a carboxyl terminal His-tag was subcloned from the pcDNA3.1/mIL-21 and expressed in E. coli. The induced protein was detected by SDS-PAGE, and identified by Western-blot assay with anti-mIL-21 antibody. The recombinant protein was purified via Ni+ affinity chromatography, and renatured with GSH/GSSG system. | 4 | Gas-initiation under UV and liquid-grafting polymerization on the surface of polysulfone hollow fiber ultrafiltration membrane by dynamic method显示文摘Using the inner-surface of polysulfone hollow fiber ultrafiltration membranes as grafted layer, the method of gas-initiation and liquid-polymerization has been studied, which aimed to adjust the diameter of the pores in the membranes. The degree of polymerization varied with the changes of the parameters, such as irradiation time, monomer concentration, temperature and time of polymerization and so on. The results indicated that using benzophenone(BP) which is in a gaseous condition as photo-initiator, acrylamide as graft monomer, the polyacrylamide chain was grafted on the surface of membranes. After the surface membrane being modified, the water flux and retention altered,and thus it can be seen that the diameter of the pores in the membrane was altered. | 18 | Gas sensing selectivity of oxygen-regulated SnO2 films with different microstructure and texture显示文摘The selectivity of gas sensing materials is increasingly important for their applications. The oxygenregulated SnO2 films with(110) and(101) preferred orientation were obtained through magnetron sputtering, followed by annealing treatment. Their micro-structure, surface morphology and gas response were investigated by advanced structural characterization and property measurement. The results showed that the as-prepared(110)-oriented SnO2 film was oxygen-rich and had more adsorption sites while the as-prepared(101)-oriented SnO2 film was oxygen-poor and more sensitive to de-oxidation.H2 gas sensitivity, response speed, selectivity between H2 and CO of the(110)-orientated SnO2 film was superior to that of the(101)-orientated SnO2 film. After treated at high temperature and high vacuum,the reduction of gas-sensing properties of the annealed(110) SnO2 film was much more than that of the annealed(101) SnO2 film. The lattice oxygen was responsible for the difference in gas-sensing response between(110) and(101)-oriented SnO2 films under oxygen regulation. | 20 | Plasma levels of luteinizing hormone and prolactin in relation to double brooding in Great Tit(Parus major)显示文摘The reproductive behaviors of birds are mainly controlled by the hypothalamus-pituitary-gonad axis.Many studies have shown that reproductive hormones are tightly linked to the breeding sub-stages.However,only a few studies have examined the temporal trend of hormone levels among different reproductive stages in multiple brooded species.We investigated the changes in plasma luteinizing hormone(LH)and prolactin(PRL)concentrations during different reproductive stages of the facultative double-brooded Great Tit(Parus major).We found that the concentrations of LH and PRL in females were significantly higher than those in males.Females had significantly higher LH and lower PRL concentrations in the pre-breeding period than in the first/second brooding periods,and there were no significant changes between the first and second brooding periods.The concentrations of LH and PRL in males had no significant difference between the pre-breeding period and the first brooding periods,while LH and PRL concentrations in the second brooding period were significantly higher than those in the first brooding period.We conclude that there are sex-based differences between LH and PRL at different stages of reproduction.The changes in LH and PRL in both males and females should be related to their physiological functions.Especially for males,individuals with higher levels of LH and PRL are more likely to maintain second clutches. | Xudong Li Wenyu Xu Jiangping Yu Wutong Zhang Haitao Wang | 2022 | Avian Research2022,13,1: | 0 |
