| 2 | Genetic architecture and key genes controlling the diversity of oil composition in rice grains显示文摘Rice grain oil is a valuable nutrient source.However,the genetic basis of oil biosynthesis in rice grains remains unclear.In this study,we performed a genome-wide association study on oil composition and oil concentration in a diverse panel of 533 cultivated rice accessions.High variation for 11 oil-related traits was observed,and the oil composition of rice grains showed differentiation among the subpopulations.We identified 46 loci that are significantly associated with grain oil concentration or composition,16 of which were detected in three recombinant inbred line populations.Twenty-six candidate genes encoding enzymes involved in oil metabolism were identified from these 46 loci,four of which(PAL6,LIN6,MYR2,and ARA6)were found to contribute to natural variation in oil composition and to show differentiation among the subpopulations.Interestingly,population genetic analyses revealed that specific haplotypes of PAL6 and LIN6 have been selected in japonica rice.Based on these results,we propose a possible oil biosynthetic pathway in rice grains.Collectively,our results provide new insights into the genetic basis of oil biosynthesis in rice grains and can facilitate marker-based breeding of rice varieties with enhanced oil and grain quality. | Hao Zhou Duo Xia Pingbo Li Yiting Ao Xiaodong Xu Shanshan Wan Yanhua Li Bian Wu Huan Shi Kaiyue Wang Guanjun Gao Qinglu Zhang Gongwei Wang Jinghua Xiao Xianghua Li Sibin Yu Xingming Lian Yuqing He | 2021 | Molecular Plant2021,14,3: | 4 |

| 18 | SARS-CoV-2 N protein enhances the anti-apoptotic activity of MCL-1 to promote viral replication显示文摘Viral infection in respiratory tract usually leads to cell death,impairing respiratory function to cause severe disease.However,the diversity of clinical manifestations of SARS-CoV-2 infection increases the complexity and difficulty of viral infection prevention,and especially the high-frequency asymptomatic infection increases the risk of virus transmission.Studying how SARS-CoV-2 affects apoptotic pathway may help to understand the pathological process of its infection.Here,we uncovered SARS-CoV-2 imployed a distinct anti-apoptotic mechanism via its N protein.We found SARS-CoV-2 virus-like particles(trVLP)suppressed cell apoptosis,but the trVLP lacking N protein didn’t.Further study verified that N protein repressed cell apoptosis in cultured cells,human lung organoids and mice.Mechanistically,N protein specifically interacted with anti-apoptotic protein MCL-1,and recruited a deubiquitinating enzyme USP15 to remove the K63-linked ubiquitination of MCL-1,which stabilized this protein and promoted it to hijack Bak in mitochondria.Importantly,N protein promoted the replications of IAV,DENV and ZIKV,and exacerbated death of IAV-infected mice,all of which could be blocked by a MCL-1 specific inhibitor,S63845.Altogether,we identifed a distinct anti-apoptotic function of the N protein,through which it promoted viral replication.These may explain how SARS-CoV-2 effectively replicates in asymptomatic individuals without cuasing respiratory dysfunction,and indicate a risk of enhanced coinfection with other viruses.We anticipate that abrogating the N/MCL-1-dominated apoptosis repression is conducive to the treatments of SARS-CoV-2 infection as well as coinfections with other viruses. | Pan Pan Weiwei Ge Zhiwei Lei Wei luo Yuqing Liu Zhanwen Guan Lumiao Chen Zhenyang Yu Miaomiao Shen Dingwen Hu Qi Xiang Wenbiao Wang Pin Wan Mingfu Tian Yang Yu Zhen Luo Xulin Chen Heng Xiao Qiwei Zhang Xujing Liang Xin Chen Yongkui Li Jianguo Wu | 2023 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,6: | 0 |
| 19 | The impact of China’s high-speed rail investment on regional economy and air pollution emissions显示文摘The high-speed rail(HSR)network in China has experienced rapid development since the 2000s.In 2016,the State Council of the People’s Republic of China issued a revised version of the“Mid-and Long-term Railway Network Plan”,detailing the expansion of the railway network and construction of an HSR system.In the future,the HSR construction efforts in China will further increase,which is considered to impact regional development and air pollutant emissions.Therefore,in this paper,we apply a transportation network-multiregional computable general equilibrium(CGE)model to estimate the dynamic effects of HSR projects on economic growth,regional disparities,and air pollutant emissions in China.The results indicate that HSR system improvement could generate a positive economic impact but could also increase emissions.The gross domestic product(GDP)growth per unit investment cost stimulated by HSR investment is found to be the largest in eastern China but the smallest in the northwest regions.Conversely,HSR investment in Northwest China contributes to a substantial reduction in regional disparities in terms of the GDP per capita.In regard to air pollution emissions,HSR construction in South-Central China results in the largest increase in CO_(2) and NO_(X) emissions,while for CO,SO_(2),and fine particulate matter(PM_(2.5))emissions,the largest increase occurs due to HSR construction in Northwest China.At the regional level,the provinces with large changes in accessibility also experience large changes in their air pollutant emissions. | Qiong Yang Yuqing Wang Ying Liu Junfeng Liu Xiurong Hu Jianmin Ma Xuejun Wang Yi Wan Jianying Hu Zhaobin Zhang Xilong Wang Shu Tao | 2023 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,9: | 0 |
