| 3 | Estimation of reproduction numbers of COVID-19 in typical countries and epidemic trends under different prevention and control scenarios显示文摘The coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)has become a life-threatening pandemic.The epidemic trends in different countries vary considerably due to different policy-making and resources mobilization.We calculated basic reproduction number(R0)and the time-varying estimate of the effective reproductive number(Rt)of COVID-19 by using the maximum likelihood method and the sequential Bayesian method,respectively.European and North American countries possessed higher (R0)and unsteady Rt fluctuations,whereas some heavily affected Asian countries showed relatively low (R0)and declining Rt now.The numbers of patients in Africa and Latin America are still low,but the potential risk of huge outbreaks cannot be ignored.Three scenarios were then simulated,generating distinct outcomes by using SEIR(susceptible,exposed,infectious,and removed)model.First,evidence-based prompt responses yield lower transmission rate followed by decreasing Rt.Second,implementation of effective control policies at a relatively late stage,in spite of huge casualties at early phase,can still achieve containment and mitigation.Third,wisely taking advantage of the time-window for developing countries in Africa and Latin America to adopt adequate measures can save more people’s life.Our mathematical modeling provides evidence for international communities to develop sound design of containment and mitigation policies for COVID-19. | Chen Xu Yinqiao Dong Xiaoyue Yu Huwen Wang Lhakpa Tsamlag Shuxian Zhang Ruijie Chang Zezhou Wang Yuelin Yu Rusi Long Ying Wang Gang Xu Tian Shen Suping Wang Xinxin Zhang Hui Wang Yong Cai | 2020 | Frontiers of Medicine2020,14,5: | 8 |

| 5 | Multi-interface collaboration of graphene cross-linked NiS-NiS_(2)-Ni_(3)S_(4) polymorph foam towards robust hydrogen evolution in alkaline electrolyte显示文摘Electrocatalytic hydrogen production in alkaline media is extensively adopted in industry. Unfortunately, further performance improvement is severely impeded by the retarded kinetics, which requires the fine regulation of water dissociation, hydrogen recombination, and hydroxyl desorption. Herein, we develop a multi-interface engineering strategy to make an elaborate balance for the alkaline hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) kinetics. The graphene cross-linked three-phase nickel sulfide (NiS-NiS_(2)-Ni_(3)S_(4)) polymorph foam (G-NNNF) was constructed through hydrothermal sulfidation of graphene wrapped nickel foam as a three-dimensional (3D) scaffold template. The G-NNNF exhibits superior catalytic activity toward HER in alkaline electrolyte, which only requires an overpotential of 68 mV to drive 10 mA·cm^(−2) and is better than most of the recently reported metal sulfides catalysts. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations verify the interfaces between nickel sulfides (NiS/NiS_(2)-Ni_(3)S_(4)) and cross-linked graphene can endow the electrocatalyst with preferable hydrogen adsorption as well as metallic nature. In addition, the electron transfer from Ni_(3)S_(4)/NiS_(2) to NiS results in the electron accumulation on NiS and the hole accumulation on Ni_(3)S_(4)/NiS_(2), respectively. The electron accumulation on NiS favors the optimization of the H* adsorption, whereas the hole accumulation on Ni_(3)S_(4) is beneficial for the adsorption of H_(2)O. | 8 | Rapid and selective uranium extraction from aqueous solution under visible light in the absence of solid photocatalyst显示文摘Extraction of uranium from radioactive waste-water is of significant importance for environmental protection and the recovery of uranium resource.Different from the previous reports to use the solid absorbent/photocatalyst for U(VI)removal,herein,we proposed a new eco-friendly method for the rapid and selective extraction of uranium from aqueous solutions under visible light without solid materials.At optimal pH value and in the presence of organics like alcohols,the U(VI)could be extracted efficiently to form brown uranium solid over wide uranium concentrations under anaerobic condition and visible light,by utilizing the excitation of the given U(VI)species.With comprehensive modelling of the electronic ultraviolet-visible(UV-Vis)properties,it is proved that pH adjusting towards U(VI)could induce efficient ligand-to-metal-charge-transfer(LMCT)within the uranyl complex under visible light and the reduction of U(VI)to form U(V),which can be transformed into U(IV)via disproportionation reaction.The resulting U(IV)in solid phase makes the extraction much more convenient in operation.More importantly,the excellent selectivity for uranium extraction over interfering alkali metal ions,transition metal ions and the lanthanide metal ions shows a powerful application potential. | Shaojun Li Yezi Hu Zewen Shen Yawen Cai Zhuoyu Ji Xiaoli Tan Zhixin Liu Guixia Zhao Shuxian Hu Xiangke Wang | 2021 | Science China Chemistry2021,64,8: | 2 |
| 9 | Effects of Melt Thermal Treatment on A356 Alloy显示文摘To increase the casting quality of hypoeutectic Al-Si alloys, the effects of melt thermal treatment on the solidification structure of the A356 alloy were analyzed by a factorial experiment, in which the overheated melt was mixed with the low temperature melt. Experimental results show that the elongation ratio and strength of the treated samples increase remarkably compared with the control sample. The primary dendrite size reduces dramatically and the dendrite changes from columnar to equiaxed, with a little change of the secondary dendrite arm spacing (SDAS).Combined with the measurement of the nucleation undercooling, it is concluded that the solidification structure and refining effect are dependent primarily on the low temperature melt. | 19 | Even FIB Decomposition Model Based on Storage and Traffic Balancing显示文摘The sharp expansion of the FIB table rapidly aggravates the hardware cost of Line cards(LCs) in the high-performance distributed routers. The storage optimization of FIB becomes a research hotspot. The traffic load of each LC is still very different in the current nonfull backup storage, which has a deep impact on the overall forwarding performance of the routers. An even FIB decomposition model was proposed, namely FEST, aiming for a two-dimension balance in both storage and traffic. Based on the splitting and distribution filters, FEST starts with splitting the root prefixes and utilizes the optimal adaptation algorithm to evenly distribute the routing entries and the traffic to LCs without the modification of the hardware designs of the current LCs. Eventually FEST uses the location routing to determine the location and the forwarding of every packet.
