1Research on preservation and enrichment mechanisms of organic matter in muddy sediment and mudstone显示文摘Using multidiscipline methodologies, the differences in preservation and enrichment mechanisms of organic matter (OM) in muddy sediment and mudstone are investigated. In clay fractions, concentra- tions of TOC and chloroform bitumen “A” are significantly higher than those in coarser fractions. This indicates that clay minerals (CM) play an important role in enriching OM. The content of chloroform bitumen “A” increases obviously in the clay fraction, which reveals that dissolvable OM is the main composition of coalesce with clay minerals. Furthermore, TG and DTA data show that OM enrichment mechanisms and preservation forms have multiplicity. Several exothermic peaks in the DTA curves demonstrate that muddy sediment and mudstone contain a number of bioclasts and amorphous OM besides dissolvable OM. Through analyzing with XRD and DTA after mudstone samples were pretreated, the conclusions can be arrived at. Firstly, CM interlayer space of XRD curves and exothermic peaks of DTA curves both change as temperature increases. Secondly, the changes of CM interlayer space and exothermic peaks are concordant and stable around 350℃. All these are the features that OM enters CM interlayers to form stable organo-clay complexes. Therefore, the combination format of OM with CM is not only surface adsorption, partial OM enters CM interlayers to form stable organo-clay complexes. 4Diurnal and Seasonal Variations of CO2Fluxes and Their Climate Controlling Factors for a Subtropical Forest in Ningxiang显示文摘In this study, the diurnal and seasonal variations of CO2 fluxes in a subtropical mixed evergreen forest in Ningxiang of Hunan Province, part of the East Asian monsoon region, were quantified for the first time. The fluxes were based on eddy covariance measurements from a newly initiated flux tower. The relationship between the CO2 fluxes and climate factors was also analyzed. The results showed that the target ecosystem appeared to be a clear carbon sink in 2013, with integrated net ecosystem CO2exchange(NEE), ecosystem respiration(RE), and gross ecosystem productivity(GEP) of-428.8, 1534.8 and1963.6 g C m-2yr-1, respectively. The net carbon uptake(i.e. the-NEE), RE and GEP showed obvious seasonal variability,and were lower in winter and under drought conditions and higher in the growing season. The minimum NEE occurred on12 June(-7.4 g C m-2d-1), due mainly to strong radiation, adequate moisture, and moderate temperature; while a very low net CO2 uptake occurred in August(9 g C m-2month-1), attributable to extreme summer drought. In addition, the NEE and GEP showed obvious diurnal variability that changed with the seasons. In winter, solar radiation and temperature were the main controlling factors for GEP, while the soil water content and vapor pressure deficit were the controlling factors in summer. 5Cryogenic 3D printing of dual-delivery scaffolds for improved bone regeneration with enhanced vascularization显示文摘Three-dimensional(3D)printing has been increasingly employed to produce advanced bone tissue engineering scaffolds with biomimetic structures and matched mechanical strengths,in order to induce improved bone regeneration in defects with a critical size.Given that the successful bone regeneration requires both excellent osteogenesis and vascularization,endowing scaffolds with both strong bone forming ability and favorable angiogenic potential would be highly desirable to induce improved bone regeneration with required vascularization.In this investigation,customized bone tissue engineering scaffolds with balanced osteoconductivity/osteoinductivity were produced via cryogenic 3D printing ofβ-tricalcium phosphate and osteogenic peptide(OP)containing water/poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid)/dichloromethane emulsion inks.The fabricated scaffolds had a hierarchically porous structure and were mechanically comparable to human cancellous bone.Angiogenic peptide(AP)containing collagen I hydrogel was then coated on scaffold surface to further provide scaffolds with angiogenic capability.A sequential release with a quick AP release and a slow but sustained OP release was obtained for the scaffolds.Both rat endothelial cells(ECs)and rat bone marrow derived mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)showed high viability on scaffolds.Improved in vitro migration and angiogenesis of ECs were obtained for scaffolds delivered with AP while enhanced osteogenic differentiation was observed in scaffolds containing OP.The in vivo results showed that,toward scaffolds containing both AP and OP,the quick release of AP induced obvious angiogenesis in vivo,while the sustained OP release significantly improved the new bone formation.This study provides a facile method to produce dual-delivery scaffolds to achieve multiple functions.Chong Wang Jiahui Lai Kai Li Shaokui Zhu Bingheng Lu Jia Liu Yujin Tang Yen Wei 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,1:7
6QTL analysis of ear leaf traits in maize(Zea mays L.)under different planting densities显示文摘Modem maize varieties have become more productive than ever, owing largely to increased tolerance of high plant density. However, the genetics of ear leaf traits under different densities remains poorly understood. In this study, Zhongdan 909 recombinant inbred lines(RILs) derived from a cross between Z58 and HD568 were genotyped for 3072 single-nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs), and phenotyped for leaf length(LL), leaf width(LW), and leaf angle(LA) of the uppermost ear leaf under three planting densities(52,500,67,500, and 82,500 plants ha-1, respectively). A genetic map was then constructed using1358 high-quality SNPs. The total length of the linkage map was 1985.2 cM and the average interval between adjacent markers 1.46 cM. With increasing density, LL and LW decreased from 63.68 to 63.02 cm and from 8.56 to 8.21 cm, respectively, while LA increased from19.42° to 19.66°. All three traits had high heritabilities, of 0.75, 0.78, and 0.84, respectively.Using inclusive composite interval mapping, 23, 25, and 17 quantitative trait loci(QTL) were detected for LL, LW, and LA, respectively. Of these, 35 were simultaneously detected under two or three plant densities, while 30 were detected under only one. 7Review and Development of Electric Motor Systems and Electric Powertrains for New Energy Vehicles显示文摘This paper presents a review on the recent research and technical progress of electric motor systems and electric powertrains for new energy vehicles.Through the analysis and comparison of direct current motor,induction motor,and synchronous motor,it is found that permanent magnet synchronous motor has better overall performance;by comparison with converters with Si-based IGBTs,it is found converters with SiC MOSFETs show significantly higher efficiency and increase driving mileage per charge.In addition,the pros and cons of different control strategies and algorithms are demonstrated.Next,by comparing series,parallel,and power split hybrid powertrains,the series-parallel compound hybrid powertrains are found to provide better fuel economy.Different electric powertrains,hybrid powertrains,and range-extended electric systems are also detailed,and their advantages and disadvantages are described.Finally,the technology roadmap over the next 15 years is proposed regarding traction motor,power electronic converter and electric powertrain as well as the key materials and components at each time frame.William Cai Xiaogang Wu Minghao Zhou Yafei Liang Yujin Wang 2021Automotive Innovation2021,4,1:7
8MdDREB2A in apple is involved in the regulation of multiple abiotic stress responses显示文摘Abiotic stress has a serious effect on plant growth.The transcription factor DREB2A is a member of the AP2/ERF family,which is widely involved in abiotic stress response.However,the function of apple MdDREB2A has not been systematically investigated.In this study,MdDREB2A was isolated from the cultivar‘Royal Gala’.The open reading frame of MdDREB2A was 1197 bp in length and it encoded a protein of 398 amino acidswithmolecularweight of 43.8 kD.As a transcription factor,MdDREB2Awas located in the nucleus.qRT-PCR analysis showed that MdDREB2A was involved in responses to drought,salt,and ABA stresses.Under these stress treatments,the relative electrical conductivity,superoxide anion and malondialdehyde(MDA)in transgenic materials significantly decreased,and the content of proline increased in MdDREB2A transgenic plants,compared to the controls,indicating that MdDREB2A transgenic apple calli and transgenic Arabidopsis exhibited improved resistance to abiotic stress.This study introduces a candidate gene for the genetic improvement of crop resistance and reveals important function of MdDREB2A in the regulation of abiotic stress response.Xinyu Lian Xinyu Zhao Qiang Zhao Guiluan Wang Yuanyuan Li Yujin Hao 2021Horticultural Plant Journal2021,7,3:6
9Densification,microstructure and mechanical properties of multicomponent(TiZrHfNbTaMo)C ceramic prepared by pressureless sintering显示文摘A multicomponent(TiZrHfNbTaMo)C ceramic has been fabricated by pressureless sintering at temperatures from 2100℃to 2500℃,using an equimolar multicomponent carbide powder synthesized by carbothermal reduction as the starting material.Influence of sintering temperature on densification,microstructure and mechanical properties of the ceramics was investigated.The relative density increases with increasing sintering temperature,and a nearly fully dense sample is achieved by pressureless sintering at 2500℃.Average grain size increases from 3.7 to 15.2μm with increasing sintering temperature from 2300 to 2500℃.The(TiZrHfNbTaMo)C ceramic sintered at 2400℃exhibits a single phase fcc structure with homogeneous chemical composition,an average grain size of 7.0μm and a relative density of96.5%,while its measured hardness is 33.2 GPa at 100 mN and 23.2 GPa at 9.8 N.Wen Zhang Lei Chen Chenguang Xu Wenyu Lu Yujin Wang Jiahu Ouyang Yu Zhou 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,13:4
10Functional Characterization of the Apple RING E3 Ligase MdMIEL1 in Transgenic Arabidopsis显示文摘E3 ubiquitin ligases are involved in various physiological processes,and they play pivotal roles in growth and development.In this study,we identified a previously unknown gene in the apple fruit(Malus×domestica)and named it MdMIEL1.The MdMIEL1 gene encoded a protein that contained a zinc-finger domain at its N-terminus and a RING-finger motif at its C-terminus.To investigate MdMIEL1 functions,we generated transgenic Arabidopsis lines expressing the MdMIEL1 gene under the control of the Cauliflower mosaic virus 35S promoter.Interestingly,ectopic expression of MdMIEL1 in Arabidopsis produced multiple phenotypes,including early germination,early flowering and a lateral root number increase relative to wild-type plants.Further analysis indicated that MdMIEL1 regulated lateral root initiation by increasing auxin accumulation in the roots.In a word,these results suggest that,MdMIEL1 as a novel RING-finger ubiquitin ligase influences plant growth and development,and highlight that MdMIEL1 regulates lateral root growth.AN Jianping LIU Xin SONG Laiqing YOU Chunxiang WANG Xiaofei HAO Yujin 2017Horticultural Plant Journal2017,3,2:3

12Genome-Wide Identification, Characterization, and Expression Analysis of Calmodulin-Like Proteins(CMLs) in Apple显示文摘Calcium(Ca^(2+)), a crucial second messenger in plants, is involved in diverse signaling pathways including biotic and abiotic stress responses. However, the functions of most calcium sensors including calcium-dependent protein kinases(CDPKs), calmodulins(Ca Ms), calmodulinlike proteins(CMLs), and calcineurin B-like proteins(CBLs) remain limited in plants, particularly in woody plants. Currently, a total of 83 CMLs and seven Ca Ms were discovered in the apple genome in this study. Functional domain analysis showed that these CMLs and Ca Ms contain a highly conserved EF-hand motif. q RT-PCR assays indicated that these CMLs were expressed ubiquitously in apple, including in the roots, stems,leaves, flowers, and fruits, and also possessed spatial specificity. Finally, most of these CMLs were induced by hormonal and abiotic stress, suggesting their potential roles in the regulation of growth, development, and the stress response in apple. 13The Growth-Promoting Mechanism of Brevibacillus laterosporus AMCC100017 on Apple Rootstock Malus robusta显示文摘Plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria(PGPR) located in rhizobacteria soil are beneficial to plant growth and development. A PGPR strain AMCC100017 of Brevibacillus laterosporus synthesizes the plant hormone IAA in a tryptophan-dependent manner. In this study, the AMCC100017 strain was used to treat Malus robusta, an excellent natural rootstock for apple production, and assess its ability to promote growth. The fresh weight, dry weight, plant height, and lateral root growth of M. robusta were significantly increased with treatment. The presence of the AMCC100017 strain increased IAA content in M. robusta and promoted root secretion of tryptophan. Colonization of the strain in the roots allowed continuous synthesis of IAA and promoted plant growth. In addition, the photosynthetic efficiency in leaves increased after microbial treatment, and the utilization of nitrogen, zinc, iron, copper and magnesium in leaves was increased, which was conducive to photosynthesis.Interestingly, the activities of CAT and SOD, as well as the contents of ROS in plants colonized by AMCC100017 were increased compared to control plants, but the activities of POD and MDA contents were decreased. AMCC100017 strain affected the antioxidant capacity and stress resistance of plants. AMCC100017 strain increased the content of soluble protein and soluble sugar in plants, improved plant metabolic activity and stress resistance. 15Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Si_3N_4 Composites Containing SiC Platelet显示文摘Hoppressed Si3N4/SiC platelet composites had been investigated with respect to their microstructure and mechanical properties. The results indicate that Vickers hardness, elastic modulus and fracture toughness of the composites were increased by the addition of SiC platelet until the content up to 20 vol pct. A slight decrease in flexural Strength was measured at room temperature with increasing SiC platelet content. The high temperature flexural strength tests at 1150, 1250, and 1350℃ were conducted. It was found that the flexural strength at elevated temperature was degraded with the rising temperature, and the downward trend of flexural strength for the composite containing 10 vol. pct SiC platelet was less. The results indicate that SiC platelet had a positive influence on the high temperature strength. 16Stepwise synthesis of cuprous oxide nanoparticles with adjustable structures and growth model显示文摘By stepwise adding of reducer N2H4·H2O,cuprous oxide(Cu2O)nanoparticles(NPs)with adjustable structures were synthesized.The features of Cu2O NPs were characterized by XRD,TEM and UV-Vis absorption spectra.When the reducer was added into the reactant system at one time,the sizes of the Cu2O NPs are in the range of 120–140 nm.Most Cu2O NPs are solid spheres.As the reducer was divided into two equal parts and stepwisely added,almost all the NPs are hollow spheres with good size(150–170 nm)distribution and dispersity.But when the reducer was divided into three or four equal parts and stepwisely added,the NPs are hollow spheres,core-shell structures or solid spheres,and the sizes distribution of the products is deteriorated.The effect of sodium hydrate(NaOH)was also probed.Addition of NaOH speeded up the nucleation and growth processes of Cu2O NPs.With the alkalinity increase,the shells of the hollow spheres become compact and the thicknesses of the shells increase,but the size distribution of the NPs is deteriorated.The absorption spectra of the Cu2O NPs are tunable.With the shell thicknesses increase,the absorption peaks have red shifts.An inside-outside growth model of Cu2O NPs was proposed to explain the results.The Cu2O single crystalline grains grow not only in the reactant solution,but also inside of the hollow nanospheres.The new Cu2O nanocrystallines can not only aggregate onto the shells of the nano hollow spheres,but also inside and outside of the hollow spheres,which leads to increasing the shell thicknesses of the hollow spheres,forming core-shell structures or small solid spheres of Cu2O NPs,respectively.YANG AiLing WANG YuJin LI ShunPin BAO XiChang YANG RenQiang 2014Science China(Technological Sciences)2014,57,11:3
17Effect of cytotoxic T-lymphocyte antigen-4,TNF-alpha polymorphisms on osteosarcoma: evidences from a meta-analysis显示文摘Objective:Previous studies have investigated the role of cytotoxic T-lymphocyte antigen-4(CTLA-4)and tumor necrosis factor-alpha(TNF-α)in carcinogenesis of osteosarcoma,but their results were inconsistent.We aimed to clarify the associations between CTLA-4,TNF-αpolymorphism and osteosarcoma risk by using meta-analysis.Methods:We searched relevant studies without language restriction in PubMed,EMbase,Cochrane Library,Google Scholar databases,Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)and conference literature in humans published prior to March 2013.The strengths of the associations between genetic variants and osteosarcoma risk were estimated by odds ratio(OR)with 95%confidence interval(95%CI).Results:A total of seven studies with 1,198 osteosarcoma patients and 1,493 controls were selected.Four studies were eligible for CTLA-4(1,003 osteosarcoma and 1,162 controls),and three studies for TNF-α(195 osteosarcoma and 331 controls).Pooled results showed that rs231775 polymorphism of CTLA-4 was associated with osteosarcoma risk(GG vs.AA:OR=1.63,95%CI=1.24-2.13;GG+GA vs.AA:OR=1.56,95%CI=1.21-2.01;AA+GA vs.GG:OR=0.83,95%CI=0.71-0.97;G vs.A:OR=1.21,95%CI=1.08-1.36).No significant heterogeneity was observed across the studies.No significant associations were found between rs5742909 polymorphism of CTLA-4 or rs1800629 polymorphism of TNF-αand osteosarcoma risk.Conclusions:These results suggest that the rs231775 polymorphism of CTLA-4 may play an important role in carcinogenesis of osteosarcoma.Jianwei Liu Junli Wang Weiping Jiang Yujin Tang 2013Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2013,25,6:3
18Genetic analysis and QTL mapping of stalk cell wall components and digestibility in maize recombinant inbred lines from B73 × By804显示文摘The cell wall composition and structure of the maize stalk directly affects its digestibility and in turn its feed value.Previous studies of stem quality have focused mostly on common maize germplasm,and few studies have focused on high-oil cultivars with high grain and straw quality.Investigation of the genetic basis of cell wall composition and digestibility of maize stalk using high-oil maize is desirable for improving maize forage quality.In the present study,a high-oil inbred line(By804)was crossed as male parent with the maize inbred line B73 to construct a population of 188 recombinant inbred lines(RILs).The phenotypes of six cell-wall-related traits were recorded,and QTL analysis was performed with a genetic map constructed with SNP markers.All traits were significantly correlated with one another and showed high broad-sense heritability.Of 20 QTLs mapped,the QTL associated with each trait explained 10.0%–41.1%of phenotypic variation.Approximately half of the QTL each explained over 10%of the phenotypic variation.These results provide a theoretical basis for improving maize forage quality by marker-assisted selection.Qi Wang Kun Li Xiaojiao Hu Huimin Shi Zhifang Liu Yujin Wu Hongwu Wang Changling Huang 2020The Crop Journal2020,8,1:2
19Perovskite-based color camera inspired by human visual cells显示文摘There are two primary types of photoreceptor cells in the human eye:cone cells and rod cells that enable color vision and night vision,respectively.Herein,inspired by the function of human visual cells,we develop a high-resolution perovskite-based color camera using a set of narrowband red,green,blue,and broadband white perovskite photodetectors as imaging sensors.The narrowband red,green,and blue perovskite photodetectors with color perceptions mimic long-,medium-,and short-wavelength cones cells to achieve color imaging ability.Also,the broadband white perovskite photodetector with better detectivity mimics rod cells to improve weak-light imaging ability.Our perovskite-based camera,combined with predesigned pattern illumination and image reconstruction technology,is demonstrated with high-resolution color images(up to 256 x 256 pixels)in diffuse mode.This is far beyond previously reported advanced perovskite array image sensors that only work in monochrome transmission mode.This work shows a new approach to bio-inspired cameras and their great potential to strongly mimic the ability of the natural eve.Yujin Lu Zhong Ji Guobiao Cen Hengchao Sun Haibao Wang Chuanxi Zhao Zhong Lin Wang Wenjie Mai 2023Light(Science & Applications)2023,12,2:2
20Cost-reduction strategies in massive genomics experiments显示文摘Many modern biology studies require deep, whole-genome sequencing of hundreds to thousands of samples. Although persamplecosts have dramatically decreased, the total budget for such massive genome sequencing constitutes a significantbarrier for poorly funded labs. The costly lab tools required for genomics experiments further hinder such studies. Here, weshare two strategies for extensively reducing the costs of massive genomics experiments, including miniaturization of theNEBNext Ultra II FS DNA Library Prep Kit for Illumina (reducing the per-sample total costs to ~ 1/6 of that charged byservice providers) and in-lab 3D model-designing of genomics tools.
