1Broadband interferometer observations of a triggered lightning显示文摘The development of positive leader of an artificially triggered lightning has been analyzed based on the data of electric field change, location of radiation source and frequency spectrum obtained by using the broadband interferometer system. The results indicate that radiation from positive leader could be detected within close distance in spite of the relatively weak radiation, while the radiation from negative breakdown processes was relatively stronger. Positive leader developed with few branches, and the initial progression velocity was of the order of 105 m/s. The distribution of power spectrum by 25 MHz high pass filter indicated that the radiation frequency from positive leader maximized at 25-30 MHz, while that from negative breakdown processes maximized at 60-70 MHz.DONG Wansheng LIU Xinsheng YU Ye ZHANG Yijun 2001Chinese Science Bulletin2001,46,18:9
2Bidirectional propagation of lightning leader显示文摘The characteristics of initial leader of triggered lightning flashes are studied by use of a highspeed digital camera system with the rate of 1000 frame per second and simultaneous measurements of current and electric field change with 0.1 μs time resolution. The results show that the altitude-triggered lightning was initiated by bidirectional propagation leader because of 'current interruption' by air gap,whereas the grounded-triggered one was not. The onset of downward-moving positive leader was prior to that of the upward-going negative leader for 843 ms in an altitude-triggered lightning under the positive ambient electric field. 3Highly stable full-color display device with VLC application potential using semipolarμLEDs and all-inorganic encapsulated perovskite nanocrystal显示文摘A promising approach for the development of effective full-color displays is to combine blue micro LEDs(μLEDs)with color conversion layers.Perovskite nanocrystals(PNCs)are notable for their tolerance to defects and provide excellent photoluminescence quantum yields and high color purity compared to metal chalcogenide quantum dots.The stability of PNCs in ambient conditions and under exposure to blue light can be improved using a SiO;coating.This study proposes a device that could be used for both display and visible light communication(VLC)applications.The semipolar blueμLED array fabricated in this study shows a negligible wavelength shift,indicating a significant reduction in the quantum confined Stark effect.Owing to its shorter carrier lifetime,the semipolar μLED array exhibits an impressive peak 3 dB bandwidth of 655 MHz and a data transmission rate of1.2 Gb/s corresponding to an injection current of 200 m A.The PNC-μLED device assembled from a semipolarμLED array with PNCs demonstrates high color stability and wide color-gamut features,achieving 127.23% and 95.00%of the National Television Standards Committee standard and Rec.2020 on the CIE 1931 color diagram,respectively.These results suggest that the proposed PNC-μLED device is suitable for both display-related and VLC applications.TINGZHU WU YUE LIN YU-MING HUANG MENG LIU KONTHOUJAM JAMES SINGH WANSHENG LIN TINGWEI LU XI ZHENG JIANYANG ZHOU HAO-CHUNG KUO ZHONG CHEN 2021Photonics Research2021,9,11:5

5Genome-wide profiling of RNA editing sites in sheep显示文摘Background: The widely observed RNA-DNA differences(RDDs) have been found to be due to nucleotide alteration by RNA editing. Canonical RNA editing(i.e., A-to-I and C-to-U editing) mediated by the adenosine deaminases acting on RNA(ADAR) family and apolipoprotein B mRNA editing catalytic polypeptide-like(APOBEC)family during the transcriptional process is considered common and essential for the development of an individual.To date, an increasing number of RNA editing sites have been reported in human, rodents, and some farm animals;however, genome-wide detection of RNA editing events in sheep has not been reported. The aim of this study was to identify RNA editing events in sheep by comparing the RNA-seq and DNA-seq data from three biological replicates of the kidney and spleen tissues.Results: A total of 607 and 994 common edited sites within the three biological replicates were identified in the ovine kidney and spleen, respectively. Many of the RDDs were specific to an individual. The RNA editing-related genes identified in the present study might be evolved for specific biological functions in sheep, such as structural constituent of the cytoskeleton and microtubule-based processes. Furthermore, the edited sites found in the ovine BLCAP and NEIL1 genes are in line with those in previous reports on the porcine and human homologs, suggesting the existence of evolutionarily conserved RNA editing sites and they may play an important role in the structure and function of genes.Conclusions: Our study is the first to investigate RNA editing events in sheep. We screened out 607 and 994 RNA editing sites in three biological replicates of the ovine kidney and spleen and annotated 164 and 247 genes in the kidney and spleen, respectively. The gene function and conservation analysis of these RNA editing-related genes suggest that RNA editing is associated with important gene function in sheep. 17Cooperative Routing for Maximizing Network Performance of Wireless Networks显示文摘To greatly increase spectral efficiency and improve network performance in wireless networks,a novel cooperative routing algorithm,namely maximum throughput cooperative routing(MTCR) algorithm,is proposed.According to cooperative link model,throughput analysis is presented to evaluate performance improvement in the process of exploiting cooperative commu-nication from physical layer to higher layer.Taking the throughput improvement as performance metric,a cooperative relay se-lection scheme is developed.Finally,based on the route constructed by adaptive forwarding cluster routing(AFCR) algorithm,each node on the route selects the optimum cooperative node from all the potential cooperative nodes to construct the coopera-tive link with maximum throughput so that cooperative route with maximum network throughput from source to destination can be set up.Simulation results show that compared with the noncooperative routing algorithm and minimum power selection de-code-and-forward(MPSDF) routing algorithm,the proposed algorithm can obviously improve network throughput in the pres-ence of low transmission power,large number of nodes and high spectral efficiency.LIU Kai ZHANG Wansheng WANG Li LIU Feng 2011Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2011,24,2:0
18Preparation and Characterization of Heteropoly Octadecamolybdodiphosphates显示文摘Heteropoly molybdophosphates with general formula M(?)P2Mo18O62 ·xH2O, where M = H+, K+, NH4+, Ca2+, Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+, Zn2+ and Ag+, were prepared and characterlzed by elemental analysis, IR and UV spectrometry and thermal analysis. The solubilities of the compounds were examined. The IR spectra show that the countercations and the crystallization water have an influence upon the vibration frequencies of vMo-Oc and vMo-Oc-Mo·In the UV spectra, the charge-transfer bands are assigned to e→e and e→b2 transition. 19New hydrous phases in the Al_(2)O_(3)-SiO_(2)-H_(2)O system under the mantle transition zone conditions显示文摘Hydrous minerals in the subducting slabs are potential water carriers into the deep mantle,and thus the synthesis of new hydrous phases is significant in our understanding of water circulation throughout the Earth’s interior.In this study,we report the two new hydrous phases,Al_(2)SiO_(6)H_(2)and Al_(5.5)Si_(4)O_(18)H_(3.5)(hereafter referred to simply as phases Psi and Phi,respectively),which are synthesized in the Al_(2)O_(3)-SiO_(2)-H_(2)O system at 15.5 GPa,1400℃and 17.5 GPa,1600℃ by using Sakura2500-ton multi-anvil apparatus.The luminescence spectra of Cr3+show the phase Psi has characteristic peaks at 687,693 and705 nm,while phase Phi has characteristic peaks at 691,696 and 708 nm.Single-crystal X-ray diffraction (SCXRD) refinements yield a monoclinic structure of both phases (space group P2_(1)) with ideal chemical formulae of Al_(2)SiO6H2and Al5.5Si4O18H3.5respectively.The determined lattice parameters for phase Psi are a=9.4168±0.0016Å,b=4.3441±0.0007Å,c=9.4360±0.002Åand β=119.726±0.005°at ambient pressure and 300 K,while the phase Phi has a=7.2549±0.0018Å,b=4.3144±0.001Å,c=8.0520±0.002Å,and β=101.740±0.009°at ambient pressure and 250 K.Electron microprobe analyses (EPMA) show the chemical compositions of phases Psi and Phi to be Al_(1.99)Si_(0.85)O_(6)H_(2.62)and Al_(5.58)Si_(2.81)O_(18)H_(8.03),respectively,which slightly deviate from the ideal formulae inferred from SCXRD measurements.This may result from the disorder or substitution of Al and Si by H in the crystal structures under our synthesis conditions.Our study suggests that phases Psi and Phi are the two potential water carriers at the upper part of the mantle transitions zone,providing new insights into how deep water is stored in this region.Baoyun WANG Jin LIU Suyu FU Pu XIAO Li LI Xing DING Wansheng XIAO 2023Science China Earth Sciences2023,66,4:0
