1Rb-Sr and Sm-Nd Isochron Ages of the Dongmozhazhua and Mohailaheng Pb-Zn Ore Deposits in the Yushu area, southern Qinghai and Their Geological Implications显示文摘Located on the northeast margin of the Qiangtang terrane between the Jinshajiang suture zone and Bangonghu-Nujiang suture zone, the Dongmozhazhua and Mohailaheng Pb-Zn deposits in the Yushu area of Qinghai Province are representative Pb-Zn deposits of the Pb-Zn-Cu polymetallic mineralization belt in the northern part of the Nujiang-Lancangjiang-Jinshajiang area, which are in the front belt of the Yushu thrust nappe system. The formed environments of these two deposits are different from those of sediment-hosted base metal deposits elsewhere in the world. The authors hold that they were formed during the Indian-Asian continental collision and developed within the foldthrust belt combined with thrust and strike-slip-related Cenozoic basins in the interior of the collisional zone. Studying on the metallogenic epochs of these two deposits is helpful to the understanding of ore-forming regularity of the regional Pb-Zn-Cu mineralization belt and also to the search for new deposits in this region. The age of the Dongmozhazhua deposit has been determined by the Rb-Sr isochron method for sphalerite residues, whereas the age of the Mohailaheng deposit has been determined by the Rb-Sr isochron method for sphalerite residues and the Sm-Nd isochron method for fluorite. The age of the Dongmozhazhua deposit is 35.0±0.0 Ma((87Sr/86Sr)0=0.708807) for sphalerite residues. The age of the Mohailaheng deposit is 32.2±0.4 Ma((87Sr/86Sr)0=0.708514) for sphalerite residues and 31.8±0.3 Ma((143Nd/144Nd)0=0.512362) for fluorite with an average of 32.0 Ma. Together with the regional geological setting during mineralization, a possible tectonic model for metallogeny of the Dongmozhazhua and Mohailaheng Pb-Zn deposits has been established. 2Combined deficiency of SLAMF8 and SLAMF9 prevents endotoxin-induced liver inflammation by downregulating TLR4 expression on macrophages显示文摘Classical signaling lymphocyte activating molecule(SLAM)family receptors are abundant within many types of immune cells,whereas the nonclassical SLAM family receptors SLAMF8 and SLAMF9,which uniquely lack cytoplasmic signaling motifs,are highly expressed by myeloid cells.Due to the potential redundancy,whether these two receptors regulate macrophage function remains largely unknown.Here,we show that SLAMF8 and SLAMF9 co-regulate macrophage-mediated liver inflammation.To overcome the redundancy,we generated mice that simultaneously lacked SLAMF8 and SLAMF9 using CRISPR-Cas9 technology.Although macrophage differentiation was not altered by the combined deficiency of SLAMF8 and SLAMF9,the loss of these two receptors significantly protected against lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced liver injury.SLAMF8 and SLAMF9 double-deficient mice had a prolonged survival rate and less infiltration of inflammatory cells.The depletion of macrophages using clodronate liposomes abolished the effects of SLAMF8 and SLAMF9 deficiencies on LPS-induced liver injury,which demonstrates that these receptors are required for macrophage activation following LPS challenge.Moreover,the deficiency of SLAMF8 and SLAMF9 suppressed the secretion of inflammatory cytokines by downregulating the expression of Toll-like receptor-4(TLR4),a receptor that specifically binds LPS,which led to decreased mitogen-activated protein kinases(MAPK)signaling activation.Notably,combined injections of truncated extracellular SLAMF8 and SLAMF9 proteins significantly alleviated LPS-induced liver injury.Thus,our findings provide insights into the role of SLAMF8 and SLAMF9 in endotoxin-induced liver injury and suggest that SLAMF8 and SLAMF9 are potential therapeutic targets for acute hepatic injury.Xiaokang Zeng Guangao Liu Wanwen Peng Junming He Chenxu Cai Wei Xiong Shasha Chen Meixiang Yang Zhongjun Dong 2020Cellular & Molecular Immunology2020,17,2:5

5Allergen degradation of bee pollen by lactic acid bacteria fermentation and its alleviatory effects on allergic reactions in BALB/c mice显示文摘Food allergy as a global health problem threatens food industry.Bee pollen(BP)is a typical food with allergenic potentials,although it performs various nutritional/pharmacological functions to humans.In this study,lactic acid bacteria(LAB)were used to ferment Brassica napus BP for alleviating its allergenicity.Four novel allergens(glutaredoxin,oleosin-B2,catalase and lipase)were identified with significant decreases in LAB-fermented BP(FBP)than natural BP by proteomics.Meanwhile,metabolomics analysis showed significant increases of 28 characteristic oligopeptides and amino acids in FBP versus BP,indicating the degradation of LAB on allergens.Moreover,FBP showed alleviatory effects in BALB/c mice,which relieved pathological symptoms and lowered production of allergic mediators.Microbial high-throughput sequencing analysis showed that FBP could regulate gut microbiota and metabolism to strengthen immunity,which were closely correlated with the alleviation of allergic reactivity.These findings could contribute to the development and utilization of hypoallergenic BP products.Shuting Yin Qiangqiang Li Yuxiao Tao Enning Zhou Kun Wang Wanwen Chen Xiangxin Li Liming Wu 2024Food Science and Human Wellness2024,13,1:0
6Genetic susceptibility loci of lung cancer are associated with malignant risk of pulmonary nodules and improve malignancy diagnosis based on CEA levels显示文摘Objective:The heightened prevalence of pulmonary nodules(PN)has escalated its significance as a public health concern.While the precise identification of high-risk PN carriers for malignancy remains an ongoing challenge,genetic variants hold potentials as determinants of disease susceptibility that can aid in diagnosis.Yet,current understanding of the genetic loci associated with malignant PN(MPN)risk is limited.Methods:A frequency-matched case-control study was performed,comprising 247 MPN cases and 412 benign NP(BNP)controls.We genotyped 11 established susceptibility loci for lung cancer in a Chinese cohort.Loci associated with MPN risk were utilized to compute a polygenic risk score(PRS).This PRS was subsequently incorporated into the diagnostic evaluation of MPNs,with emphasis on serum tumor biomarkers.Results:Loci rs10429489G>A,rs17038564A>G,and rs12265047A>G were identified as being associated with an increased risk of MPNs.The PRS,formulated from the cumulative risk effects of these loci,correlated with the malignant risk of PNs in a dose-dependent fashion.A high PRS was found to amplify the MPN risk by 156%in comparison to a low PRS[odds ratio(OR)=2.56,95%confidence interval(95%CI),1.40−4.67].Notably,the PRS was observed to enhance the diagnostic accuracy of serum carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA)in distinguishing MPNs from BPNs,with diagnostic values rising from 0.716 to 0.861 across low-to high-PRS categories.Further bioinformatics investigations pinpointed rs10429489G>A as an expression quantitative trait locus.Conclusions:Loci rs10429489G>A,rs17038564A>G,and rs12265047A>G contribute to MPN risk and augment the diagnostic precision for MPNs based on serum CEA concentrations.Zhi Li Liming Lu Yibin Deng Amei Zhuo Fengling Hu Wanwen Sun Guitian Huang Linyuan Liu Boqi Rao Jiachun Lu Lei Yang 2023Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2023,35,5:0
7IRIS:A method for predicting in vivo RNA secondary structures using PARIS data显示文摘Background:RNA secondary structures play a pivotal role in posttranscriptional regulation and the functions of non-coding RNAs,yet in vivo RNA secondary structures remain enigmatic.PARIS(Psoralen Analysis of RNA Interactions and Structures)is a recently developed high-throughput sequencing-based approach that enables direct capture of RNA duplex structures in vivo.However,the existence of incompatible,fuzzy pairing information obstructs the integration of PARIS data with the existing tools for reconstructing RNA secondary structure models at the single-base resolution.Methods:We introduce IRIS,a method for predicting RNA secondary structure ensembles based on PARIS data.IRIS generates a large set of candidate RNA secondary structure models under the guidance of redistributed PARIS reads and then uses a Bayesian model to identify the optimal ensemble,according to both thermodynamic principles and PARIS data.Results:The predicted RNA structure ensembles by IRIS have been verified based on evolutionary conservation information and consistency with other experimental RNA structural data.HIS is implemented in Python and freely available at http://iris.zhanglab.net.Conclusion:IRIS capitalizes upon PARIS data to improve the prediction of in vivo RNA secondary structure ensembles.We expect that IRIS will enhance the application of the PARIS technology and shed more insight on in vivo RNA secondary structures.Jianyu Zhou Pan Li Wanwen Zeng Wenxiu Ma Zhipeng Lu Rui Jiang Qiangfeng Cliff Zhang Tao Jiang 2020Quantitative Biology2020,8,4:0
8DeepDrug:A general graph-based deep learning framework for drug-drug interactions and drug-target interactions prediction显示文摘Background:Computational approaches for accurate prediction of drug interactions,such as drug-drug interactions(DDIs)and drug-target interactions(DTIs),are highly demanded for biochemical researchers.Despite the fact that many methods have been proposed and developed to predict DDIs and DTIs respectively,their success is still limited due to a lack of systematic evaluation of the intrinsic properties embedded in the corresponding chemical structure.Methods:In this paper,we develop DeepDrug,a deep learning framework for overcoming the above limitation by using residual graph convolutional networks(Res-GCNs)and convolutional networks(CNNs)to learn the comprehensive structure-and sequence-based representations of drugs and proteins.Results:DeepDrug outperforms state-of-the-art methods in a series of systematic experiments,including binary-class DDIs,multi-class/multi-label DDIs,binary-class DTIs classification and DTIs regression tasks.Furthermore,we visualize the structural features learned by DeepDrug Res-GCN module,which displays compatible and accordant patterns in chemical properties and drug categories,providing additional evidence to support the strong predictive power of DeepDrug.Ultimately,we apply DeepDrug to perform drug repositioning on the whole DrugBank database to discover the potential drug candidates against SARS-CoV-2,where 7 out of 10 top-ranked drugs are reported to be repurposed to potentially treat coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).Conclusions:To sum up,we believe that DeepDrug is an efficient tool in accurate prediction of DDIs and DTIs and provides a promising insight in understanding the underlying mechanism of these biochemical relations.Qijin Yin Rui Fan Xusheng Cao Qiao Liu Rui Jiang Wanwen Zeng 2023Quantitative Biology2023,11,3:0
9Phytoremediation Characteristics of Pb and Cd Contaminated Soils by Ginkgo Seedling显示文摘In this article,we investigated effects of lead and cadmium on the biomass of ginkgo seedlings, and roles of the seedlings in accumulation characteristics of the heavy metals and remediation of the soil contaminated by Cd2+ or Pb2+ as well as their combination.The results showed that both Cd2+ and Pb2+ significantly or very significantly reduced biomass increment of ginkgo seedlings,with Pb2+ more adverse than Cd2+.The Cd2+-Pb2+ compound pollution further reduced biomass increment of ginkgo seedlings.The mass fractions and enrichment coefficient of Pb2+ and Cd2+ in ginkgo seedlings were in an order of root>stem>leaf,which was in favor of transportation Pb2+ and Cd2+ from root to stem and leave.The Cd2+-Pb2+ compound pollution promoted ginkgo seedling absorption to Cd2+ and Pb2+.The capacity of the upward transport of Pb2+ was greater than that of Cd2+,which suggested an obvious dose-effect and synergistic effect.Cd2+ and Pb2+ accumulations in ginkgo seedlings were relatively large.The accumulation in roots was higher than that in stems and leaves.The ability of the absorption,transportation and accumulation of ginkgo seedlings to Pb2+ was relatively greater under Cd2+-Pb2+ compound pollution.The phytoremediation efficiency of Cd2+ and Pb2+ was relatively high.Cao Fuliang Yu Wanwen Zhu Yulin 2012Chinese Forestry Science and Technology2012,11,3:0

11Resources Allocation and Utilization Effi ciency in China’s Healthcare Sector显示文摘The reasonable allocation of healthcare resources across different levels of healthcare facilities is the key to promoting the tiered diagnosis and treatment approach.The sudden outbreak of COVID−19 underscores the shortage of resources and service capability of China’s primary healthcare facilities.From the perspective of the vertical division of labor in the healthcare service system and based on the quality adjustment and quantitative correction of healthcare workers,this paper comprehensively calculates and analyzes the evenness of resources allocation between hospitals and primary healthcare facilities;and then,combining the theoretical model derivation with China’s empirical data test,this paper demonstrates how the misallocation of healthcare resources affects their utilization efficiency.The results are as below.(1)There are varying degrees of quantity and quality imbalance in various healthcare resources between hospitals and primary healthcare facilities.(2)When other conditions remain unchanged,the more misallocated healthcare resources are,the lower the“actual”utilization efficiency after quality adjustment is.(3)Compared with the absence of price regulation,government price regulation has led to a relative“overtreatment equilibrium”in the healthcare service market.Therefore,measures should be taken to optimize the structure of healthcare resources allocation and improve the efficiency of resources utilization,such as strengthening the government’s healthcare financing function,formulating policies that favor primary healthcare facilities,and encouraging social capital to invest at the community level.Junhao Wang Wanwen Jia 2021China Finance and Economic Review2021,10,2:0
12A case of infectious endophthalmitis misdiagnosed as uveitis显示文摘Intraocular foreign body residue following ophthalmic surgery is rare but may cause severe postoperative occult inflammation.In some cases,small foreign bodies located in the anterior chamber angle may be missed by follow-up ultrasound biomicroscopy(UBM).We report the case of an elderly female whose right eye was injured by a nail and received corneal repair surgery in our hospital.Eleven days post-surgery,we found a mobile,short,translucent,rod-shaped foreign body in the upper corner of the right eye and another in the iris root at 7 o’clock.Two months post-surgery,the patient consulted a doctor due to right eye redness,pain,and vision loss,which was ultimately shown to be associated with foreign body residue resulting in a delayed postoperative inflammatory response.The patient was cured by surgeries and active anti-inflammatory and anti-infection treatments,but the final diagnosis of the patient was infectious endophthalmitis misdiagnosed as uveitis,which worths our consideration.We also review relevant literature on the differentiation of postoperative infectious endophthalmitis from noninfectious uveitis.It’s a reminder that patients with delayed endophthalmitis after open ocular trauma should not exclude the possibility of intraocular foreign bodies.As well clinicians can distinguish infectious endophthalmitis from uveitis by needle aspiration biopsy or vitrectomy for microbial culture in order to determine the need for antibiotic treatment.Liu Xueying Zhong Hongyi Shen Wanwen Shao Yongxin Zheng 2021Annals of Eye Science2021,,3:0
13Comparative histology,transcriptome,and metabolite profi ling unravel the browning mechanisms of calli derived from ginkgo(Ginkgo biloba L.)显示文摘Gingko biloba accumulates high levels of secondary metabolites of pharmaceutical value.Ginkgo calli develop a typical browning that reduces its regenerative capacity and thus its usefulness.To elucidate the browning mechanism,histological,transcriptomic,and metabolic alterations were compared between green and browning calli derived from immature ginkgo embryos.Histological observations revealed that browning calli had a more loosely arranged cell structure and accumulated more tannins than in green calli.Integrated metabolic and transcriptomic analyses showed that phenylpropanoid metabolism was specifi-cally activated in the browning calli,and 428 diff erentially expressed genes and 63 diff erentially abundant metabolites,including 12 fl avonoid compounds,were identifi ed in the browning calli compared to the green calli.Moreover,the expression of fl avonol synthase(FLS)and UDP-glucuronosyl-transferase(UGT)genes involved in the fl avonoid pathway was more than tenfold higher in browning calli than in green calli,thus promoting biosynthesis of fl avonol,which serves as a substrate to form glycosylated fl avonoids.Flavonoid glycosides constituted the major coloring component of the browning calli and may act in response to multiple stress conditions to delay cell death caused by browning.Our results revealed the cellular and biochemical changes in browning callus cells that accompanied changes in expression of browning-related genes,providing a scientifi c basis for improving ginkgo tissue culturability.Xiaoming Yang Qi Xu Linlin Le Tingting Zhou Wanwen Yu Guibin Wang Fang-Fang Fu Fuliang Cao 2023Journal of Forestry Research2023,34,3:0
14Role of adipose-derived stem cells in breast cancer显示文摘The clinical use of fat grafts for breast reconstruction post-mastectomy or radiotherapy has the disadvantages of limited retention and survival rates.To solve this problem,adipose-derived stem cells(ADSCs)have been suggested as an alternative cell source for breast reconstruction,because they are simple to access,have low immunogenicity,and support the survival of mature adipose grafts.However,despite their outstanding properties,the use of ADSCs in patients with breast cancer is controversial,and the oncological safety of this method has been questioned.The biological effects of ADSCs on breast cancer are complex,and clinical research on ADSC-assisted fat grafting is limited.Here,we review the current experimental findings on the effects of ADSCs on breast cancer,mainly focusing on the role of ADSCs in breast cancer proliferation and growth processes,such as epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT)and angiogenesis.We also discuss the safety of ADSCs in clinical breast reconstruction.Wanwen Dang Junhao Wu Guanhuier Wang Yonghuan Zhen Yang An 2023Chinese Journal Of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery2023,5,2:0
