1Experimental study on microcapsule fluid oscillating heat pipe显示文摘In this experiment,a four-turn oscillating heat pipe(OHP)is made of copper tube with an inner diameter of 1.3mm,and an outer diameter of 2.5mm.A series of experiments are performed to investigate the startup characteristics of OHP,and the effects of different working fluids(FS-39E microcapsule fluid,pure water,ethanol),different liquid filling rates(40%-80%)on the heat transport capability of OHP in vertical bottom heat mode.The results show that the startup of OHP is relative with liquid filling rate,thermal driving force and working fluid;and experiences different flow patterns with the increase of heat load.The best concentration of FS-39E microcapsule fluid is 1wt%.While FS-39E microcapsule fluid is used as the working fluid,compared with pure water and ethanol,the OHP has a broader working scope;when the liquid filling rate is relatively high,the OHP shows a better performance on the startup and heat transport capability.LIN ZiRong WANG ShuangFeng ZHANG WeiBao 2009Science China(Technological Sciences)2009,52,6:5
2Ultrafast all-optical terahertz modulation based on an inverse-designed metasurface显示文摘Metasurface plays a key role in various terahertz metadevices,while the designed terahertz metasurface still lacks flexibility and variety.On the other hand,inverse design has drawn plenty of attention due to its flexibility and robustness in the application of photonics.This provides an excellent opportunity for metasurface design as well as the development of multifunctional,high-performance terahertz devices.In this work,we demonstrate that,for the first time,a terahertz metasurface supported by the electromagnetically induced transparency(EIT)effect can be constructed by inverse design,which combines the particle swarm optimization algorithm with the finite-difference time-domain method.Incorporating germanium(Ge)film with inverse-designed metasurface,an ultrafast EIT modulation on the picosecond scale has been experimentally verified.The experimental results suggest a feasibility to build the terahertz EIT effect in the metasurface through an optimization algorithm of inverse design.Furthermore,this method can be further utilized to design multifunctional and high-performance terahertz devices,which is hard to accomplish in a traditional metamaterial structure.In a word,our method not only provides a novel way to design an ultrafast all-optical terahertz modulator based on artificial metamaterials but also shows the potential applications of inverse design on the terahertz devices.WEIBAO HE MINGYU TONG ZHONGJIE XU YUZE HU XIANG’AI CHENG TIAN JIANG 2021Photonics Research2021,9,6:4
3Noise Reduction for InSAR Phase Images Using BM3D显示文摘This paper extends the application of Block-matching(BM) and 3D transform-domain collaborative filtering(BM3D) to the noise reduction in Interferometric synthetic aperture radar(In SAR) phase imagery,and proposes a denoising algorithm which can effectively remove noise and preserve fringes. Since the noise level estimated by a median estimator is not always optimal for proposed algorithm in wavelet domain, a method of calculating optimal noise standard deviation is also developed.The proposed algorithm is efficient and robust. 8Biomimetic nanoparticles directly remodel immunosuppressive microenvironment for boosting glioblastoma immunotherapy显示文摘Glioblastoma(GBM),as a very aggressive cancer of central nervous system,is very challenging to completely cure by the conventional combination of surgical resection with radiotherapy and chemotherapy.The success of emerging immunotherapy in hot tumors has attracted considerable interest for the treatment of GBM,but the unique tumor immunosuppressive microenvironment(TIME)of GBM leads to the failure of immunotherapy.Here,we show the significant improvement of the immunotherapy efficacy of GBM by modulating the TIME through novel all-in-one biomimetic nanoparticles(i.e.CS-I/J@CM NPs).The nanoparticles consist of utrasmall Cu2-xSe nanoparticles(NPs)with outstanding intrinsic properties(e.g.,photo-responsive Fenton-like catalytic property for inducing immunogenic cell death(ICD)and alleviating the hypoxia of tumor),indoximod(IND,an inhibitor of indoleamine-2,3-dioxygenease in tumor),JQ1(an inhibitor for reducing the expression of PD-L1 by tumor cells),and tumor cell membrane for improving the targeting capability and accumulation of nanoparticles in tumor.We reveal that these smart CS-I/J@CM NPs could drastically activate the immune responses through remodeling TIME of GBM by multiple functions.They could(1)increase M1-phenotype macrophages at tumor site by promoting the polarization of tumor-associated macrophages through the reactive oxygen species(ROS)and oxygen generated from the Fenton-like reaction between nanoparticles and H2O2 within tumor under NIR II irradiation;(2)decrease the infiltration of Tregs cells at tumor site through the release of IND;(3)decrease the expression of PD-L1 on tumor cells through JQ1.The notable increments of anti-tumor CD8+T cells in the tumor and memory T cells(TEM)in the spleen show excellent therapy efficacy and effectively prevent the recurrence of GBM after modulation of the TIME.This work demonstrates the modulation of TIME could be a significant strategy to improve the immunotherapy of GBM and other cold tumors.Tingting Wang Hao Zhang Weibao Qiu Yaobao Han Hanghang Liu Zhen Li 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,10:1

16The specificity of ten non-digestible carbohydrates to enhance butyrate-producing bacteria and butyrate production in vitro fermentation显示文摘Butyrate and butyrate-producing bacteria are important indicators of gut microbial metabolism in human health.Ten non-digestible carbohydrates(NDCs),including inulin,fructooligosaccharide(FOS),oatsβ-glucans(OGS),oatsβ-glucan oligosaccharides(OGOS),Astragalus polysaccharides(APS),Astragalus oligosaccharides(AOS),xanthan gum oligosaccharides(XGOS),gellan gum oligosaccharides(GGOS),curdlan oligosaccharides(COS),and pullulan oligosaccharides(POS)were used to investigate NDC specifi city in modulating butyrate-producing bacteria and butyrate production in 48 h in vitro fermentation studies in combination with fecal inocula from 7 healthy donors and 11 patients with type 2 diabetes(T2D).We observed that the amount of these ten NDCs utilized depended on NDC structure and inter-individual gut microbial differences.XGOS and GGOS fermentations signifi cantly increased butyrate-producing bacteria(especially f_Lachnospiraceae)and butyric acid production.Furthermore,XGOS and GGOS fermentations showed a better ability to consistently modulate gut microbiota composition and metabolic properties between individuals of healthy donors or T2D patients when compared to inulin,FOS,APS,AOS,OGS,OGOS,COS and POS fermentation.This research indicated that xanthan gum and gellan gum oligosaccharides have strong specifi city to enhance butyrate-producing bacteria and butyrate production.Jingjing Xu Ruyue Wang Weibao Liu Zhongwei Yin Jianrong Wu Xun Yu Wen Wang Hongtao Zhang Zhitao Li Minjie Gao Li Zhu Xiaobei Zhan 2023Food Science and Human Wellness2023,12,6:0

18Erosion Mechanism of Al_(2)O_(3)-SiC Castables for Lining Maintenance in Blast Furnace Hearths显示文摘Al_(2)O_(3)-SiC castables,for the relining of BF hearths in mid-campaign repair,were sampled and investigated after two years’service.The chemical and mineralogical characteristics of the residual castables were analyzed by X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy,and energy dispersive X-ray spectrometry to study the erosion mechanism.The results show that as gaseous K diffuses in the castables,leucite(KAlSi_(2)O_(8))and multiple cracks are formed.Molten iron and slag penetrate through the cracks to form anorthite([Ca,Na][Al,Si]_(4)O_(8))and iron,which will not form an embrittlement layer similar to carbon bricks.The entire repair of the hearth with Al_(2)O_(3)-SiC castables combined with the design of thin-wall lining hearth eliminates“elephant foot shaped”erosion,greatly prolonging the service life of the hearth lining.SUN Saiyang MA Xiaoqing WANG Xingwei ZHAO Yong ZHANG Ronghui FEI Weibao 2022China's Refractories2022,31,2:0
19Degradation of Rhodamine B by MnFe-LDH/PMS/O3 three-phase catalytic system: performance, mechanism and ecotoxicity studies显示文摘This study developed a novel MnFe-LDH/PMS/O3 three-phase catalytic system to degrade the organic dye RhB, which was used to address the drawbacks of persulfate oxidation and ozonation techniques. The structure, ionic and elemental composition, specific surface area, and magnetic properties of the LDHs were investigated using a variety of physicochemical characterization tools. The results showed that MnFe-LDH had a large specific surface area, a rich crystalline phase composition, and a functional group structure. The RhB degradation rate of MnFe-LDH/PMS/O3 was 0.34 min−1, which was much higher than that of other comparative systems. RhB could be completely degraded in 10 min after optimization and had a significant effect on TOC removal. The system was found to be effective over a wide pH range. Common anions were largely unaffected and humic acid acted as an inhibitor. At the same time, the system had generally effective degradation performance for different dyes. Combined with quenching experiments and EPR, it was found that SO4•−, •OH, O_(2)•−, and 1O_(2) all participated in the reaction, and •OH contributed more. The degradation pathway of RhB was derived by LC-MS, and the T.E.S.T. evaluation found that the toxicity of the intermediate product was significantly reduced. Finally, the stability and availability of LDHs were verified using cycling experiments and metal ion leaching. 20Repurposing clinical drugs is a promising strategy to discover drugs against Zika virus infection显示文摘Zika virus(ZIKV)is an emerging pathogen associated with neurological complications,such as Guillain–Barrésyndrome in adults and microcephaly in fetuses and newborns.This mosquito-borne flavivirus causes important social and sanitary problems owing to its rapid dissemination.However,the development of antivirals against ZIKV is lagging.Although various strategies have been used to study anti-ZIKV agents,approved drugs or vaccines for the treatment(or prevention)of ZIKV infections are currently unavailable.Repurposing clinically approved drugs could be an effective approach to quickly respond to an emergency outbreak of ZIKV infections.The well-established safety profiles and optimal dosage of these clinically approved drugs could provide an economical,safe,and efficacious approach to address ZIKV infections.This review focuses on the recent research and development of agents against ZIKV infection by repurposing clinical drugs.Their characteristics,targets,and potential use in anti-ZIKV therapy are presented.This review provides an update and some successful strategies in the search for anti-ZIKV agents are given.Weibao Song Hongjuan Zhang Yu Zhang Rui Li Yanxing Han Yuan Lin Jiandong Jiang 2021Frontiers of Medicine2021,15,3:0
