| 1 | Evolution of prehistoric agriculture in central Gansu Province,China:A case study in Qin'an and Li County显示文摘This study,based on environmental archaeological studies focused on Qin'an County and Li County in Gansu Province,China,shows that during 8-7.3 ka BP few cultivated crop seeds were found.After 6.4 ka BP,during the Banpo period,many crop seeds appeared,indicating the development of agriculture.Millet agriculture in this area appeared and flourished a little later than in the Central Plain of China.Climate change is an important factor that influenced the development of agriculture in this area.The rapid expansion of agriculture during late Yangshao and Changshan benefited from the humid and warm climate in the mid-Holocene,especially the emergence of rice.After 4 ka BP,climate became drier,and agriculture began to decline.So Siwa Culture is characterized by pastoral economy,until the Eastern Zhou period,agriculture began to recover,when wheat and barley appeared in Li County,indicating diversification of agriculture of this time. | AN ChengBang JI DuXue CHEN FaHu DONG GuangHui WANG Hui DONG WeiMiao Zhao XueYe | 2010 | Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,18: | 10 |
| 2 | Ground-Based Radar Reflectivity Mosaic of Mei-yu Precipitation Systems over the Yangtze River–Huaihe River Basins显示文摘The 3D radar reflectivity produced by a mosaic software system, with measurements from 29 operational weather radars in the Yangtze River–Huaihe River Basins(YRHRB) during the mei-yu season of 2007, is compared to coincident TRMM PR observations in order to evaluate the value of the ground-based radar reflectivity mosaic in characterizing the 3D structures of mei-yu precipitation. Results show reasonable agreement in the composite radar reflectivity between the two datasets,with a correlation coefficient of 0.8 and a mean bias of -1 dB. The radar mosaic data at constant altitudes are reasonably consistent with the TRMM PR observations in the height range of 2–5 km, revealing essentially the same spatial distribution of radar echo and nearly identical histograms of reflectivity. However, at altitudes above 5 km, the mosaic data overestimate reflectivity and have slower decreasing rates with height compared to the TRMM PR observations. The areas of convective and stratiform precipitation, based on the mosaic reflectivity distribution at 3-km altitude, are highly correlated with the corresponding regions in the TRMM products, with correlation coefficients of 0.92 and 0.97 and mean relative differences of -7.9% and -2.5%, respectively. | 11 | Titanium-Promoted Rh-Mn-Li/SiO_(2) for C_(2)-Oxygenates Synthesis from Syngas: Effect of Low Titanium Loading显示文摘Addition of small amounts of Ti oxide to Rh-Mn-Li/SiO2 catalysts unexpectedly results in an increase in their activity for C2-oxygenates production from syngas. Continuously increasing Ti loading depresses catalyst activity. The effect of Ti at low level on the catalytic properties in the CO/H2 reaction has been studied by various techniques. The characterization results indicate that the existence of Ti species has no effect on the ability of Rh to dissociate CO molecules and on the Rh dispersion. On the other hand, it is shown that trace amount of Ti strengthens the adsorption of CO and increases the amount of strongly adsorbed CO that can be hydrogenated and therefore improves the activity. | 12 | Interaction between HLA-G and NK cell receptor KIR2DL4 orchestrates HER2-positive breast cancer resistance to trastuzumab显示文摘Despite the successful use of the humanized monoclonal antibody trastuzumab(Herceptin)in the clinical treatment of human epidermal growth factor receptor 2(HER2)-overexpressing breast cancer,the frequently occurring drug resistance remains to be overcome.The regulatory mechanisms of trastuzumab-elicited immune response in the tumor microenvironment remain largely uncharacterized.Here,we found that the nonclassical histocompatibility antigen HLA-G desensitizes breast cancer cells to trastuzumab by binding to the natural killer(NK)cell receptor KIR2DL4.Unless engaged by HLA-G,KIR2DL4 promotes antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity and forms a regulatory circuit with the interferon-γ(IFN-γ)production pathway,in which IFN-γ upregulates KIR2DL4 via JAK2/STAT1 signaling,and then KIR2DL4 synergizes with the Fey receptor to increase IFN-γ secretion by NK cells.Trastuzumab treatment of neoplastic and NK cells leads to aberrant cytokine production characterized by excessive tumor growth factor-β(TGF-β)and IFN-γ,which subsequently reinforce HLA-G/KIR2DL4 signaling.In addition,TGF-β and IFN-γ impair the cytotoxicity of NK cells by upregulating PD-L1 on tumor cells and PD-1 on NK cells.Blockade of HLA-G/KIR2DL4 signaling improved the vulnerability of HER2-positive breast cancer to trastuzumab treatment in vivo.These findings provide novel insights into the mechanisms underlying trastuzumab resistance and demonstrate the applicability of combined HLA-G and PD-L1/PD-1 targeting in the treatment of trastuzumab-resistant breast cancer. | Guoxu Zheng Zhangyan Guo Weimiao Li Wenjin Xi Baile Zuo Rui Zhang Weihong Wen An-Gang Yang Lintao Jia | 2021 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,7: | 1 |

| 14 | Predicting recurrence in osteosarcoma via a quantitative histological image classifier derived from tumour nuclear morphological features显示文摘Recurrence is the key factor affecting the prognosis of osteosarcoma.Currently,there is a lack of clinically useful tools to predict osteosarcoma recurrence.The application of pathological images for artificial intelligence‐assisted accurate prediction of tumour out-comes is increasing.Thus,the present study constructed a quantitative histological image classifier with tumour nuclear features to predict osteosarcoma outcomes using haema-toxylin and eosin(H&E)‐stained whole‐slide images(WSIs)from 150 osteosarcoma patients.We first segmented eight distinct tissues in osteosarcoma H&E‐stained WSIs,with an average accuracy of 90.63%on the testing set.The tumour areas were auto-matically and accurately acquired,facilitating the tumour cell nuclear feature extraction process.Based on six selected tumour nuclear features,we developed an osteosarcoma histological image classifier(OSHIC)to predict the recurrence and survival of osteo-sarcoma following standard treatment.The quantitative OSHIC derived from tumour nuclear features independently predicted the recurrence and survival of osteosarcoma patients,thereby contributing to precision oncology.Moreover,we developed a fully automated workflow to extract quantitative image features,evaluate the diagnostic values of feature sets and build classifiers to predict osteosarcoma outcomes.Thus,the present study provides a novel tool for predicting osteosarcoma outcomes,which has a broad application prospect in clinical practice. | Zhan Wang Haoda Lu Yan Wu Shihong Ren Diarra mohamed Diaty Yanbiao Fu Yi Zou Lingling Zhang Zenan Wang Fangqian Wang Shu Li Xinmi Huo Weimiao Yu Jun Xu Zhaoming Ye | 2023 | CAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology2023,8,3: | 0 |
| 15 | Response of Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium to alginate oligosaccharides fermented with fecal inoculum:integrated transcriptomic and metabolomic analyses显示文摘Alginate oligosaccharides(AOS),extracted from marine brown algae,are a common functional feed additive;however,it remains unclear whether they modulate the gut microbiota and microbial metabolites.The response of Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium,a common poultry pathogen,to AOS fermented with chicken fecal inocula was investigated using metabolomic and transcriptomic analyses.Single-strain cultivation tests showed that AOS did not directly inhibit the growth of S.Typhimurium.However,when AOS were fermented by chicken fecal microbiota,the supernatant of fermented AOS(F-AOS)exhibited remarkable antibacterial activity against S.Typhimurium,decreasing the abundance ratio of S.Typhimurium in the fecal microbiota from 18.94 to 2.94%.Transcriptomic analyses showed that the 855 diferentially expressed genes induced by F-AOS were mainly enriched in porphyrin and chlorophyll metabolism,oxidative phosphorylation,and Salmonella infection-related pathways.RT-qPCR confrmed that F-AOS downregulated key genes involved in fagellar assembly and the type III secretory system of S.Typhimurium,indicating metabolites in F-AOS can infuence the growth and metabolism of S.Typhimurium.Metabolomic analyses showed that 205 microbial metabolites were signifcantly altered in F-AOS.Among them,the increase in indolelactic acid and 3-indolepropionic acid levels were further confrmed using HPLC.This study provides a new perspective for the application of AOS as a feed additive against pathogenic intestinal bacteria. | Jiaying Cheng Mengshi Xiao Xinmiao Ren Francesco Secundo Ying Yu Shihao Nan Weimiao Chen Changliang Zhu Qing Kong Youtao Huang Xiaodan Fu Haijin Mou | 2023 | Marine Life Science & Technology2023,5,2: | 0 |
