1CMTM4 inhibits cell proliferation and migration via AKT, ERK1/2,and STAT3 pathway in colorectal cancer显示文摘CMTM4(CKLF-like MARVEL transmembrane domain containing 4),a potential tumor suppressor gene,is involved in several types of malignancies.It has been reported to be downregulated and exhibit anti-tumorigenic activities by regulating cell growth and cell cycle in clear cell renal cell carcinoma.It has also been identified as a tumor suppressor in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC),and its negative expression is a risk factor for poor prognosis of HCC patients.In the present study,an integrated bioinformatics analysis based on The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA)database showed that CMTM4 was frequently reduced in colorectal cancer(CRC)and high expression of CMTM4 was associated with increased overall survival rates.Based on these findings,we adopted gain-of-function and lost-of-function strategies using SW480 and HT29 CRC cell lines which have relatively low and high endogenous CMTM4 levels,respectively.We observed impeded cell proliferation and migration upon overexpression of CMTM4 in SW480 cells,and the opposite effects were observed upon knockdown of CMTM4 in HT-29 cells.Cell signaling pathways essential for CRC progression were then examined,and the phosphorylation levels of AKT,ERK1/2,and STAT3 were found to be decreased by CMTM4 overexpression in SW480 cells and elevated by CMTM4 silencing in HT29 cells.Their inhibitors were used to validate that the three signaling pathways contributed to the inhibitory effects of CMTM4 on CRC cells.Taken together,our results suggest that CMTM4 plays a tumor suppressive role in CRC.Hui Xue Ting Li Pingzhang Wang Xiaoning Mo Hejun Zhang Shigang Ding Dalong Ma Wenping Lv Jing Zhang Wenling Han 2019Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2019,51,9:5
2Numerical simulation of sedimentation of rectangular particle in Newtonian fluid显示文摘The sedimentation of a rectangular particle falling in a two-dimensional channel filled with Newtonian fluid was simulated with finite element arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian domain method. The numerical procedure was validated by comparison of the simulation results with existing numerical work. Moreover, good agreement was obtained between the simulation results and experimental measurements performed in the current study. The equilibrium position, stable orientation and drag coefficient of a rect- angular particle for different particle Reynolds numbers (Re p ) were studied. The results show that there is a critical particle Reynolds number for the preferred orientation of a rectangular particle falling in a Newtonian fluid. When Re p is smaller than the critical value, the particle falls with its long side parallel to gravity; otherwise the particle falls with its long side perpendicular to gravity. The critical particle Reynolds number is a decreasing function of the blockage ratio and aspect ratio. The distributions of pressure and shear stress on rectangular particle surface were analyzed. 7Organophosphate esters in sediment from Taihu Lake,China:Bridging the gap between riverine sources and lake sinks显示文摘Surface sediment samples from Taihu Lake in China and its inflow rivers,along with two lake sediment core samples,were collected and analyzed for organophosphate esters(OPEs).The concentrations of total OPEs varied from 28.60 ng/g to 158.72 ng/g(median:54.25 ng/g)in river surface sediment and from 62.57 ng/g to 326.84 ng/g(median:86.37 ng/g)in lake sediment.Tributyl phosphate(TnBP)was the predominant compound in river surface sediment,and tris(2-butoxyethyl)phosphate was predominant in lake sediment.High contamination occurred in the north-west region,which was related to the high level of urbanization and high usage of OPEs.The sediment–water partition coefficients of OPEs(log_(Koc))were calculated,showing a significant correlation with logKow(p<0.05).The concentration and composition of OPEs in two sediment cores varied due to the different sampling locations,with more OPE species found in the northern region than in the southern one.Principal component analysis and positive matrix factorization indicated that sewage discharges,vehicle emissions,and atmospheric deposition were the possible sources of OPEs in Taihu Lake sediments.Tris(1-chloro-2-propyl)phosphate,tris(2-chloroethyl)phosphate,and TnBP were the main OPEs causing ecological risks.Wenping Zhang Changsheng Guo Jiapei Lv Xu Li Jian Xu 2022Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2022,16,3:1

11Ligand effects on electronic and optoelectronic properties of two-dimensional PbS necking percolative superlattices显示文摘The inter-nanocrystal (NC) distance, necking degree, ordering level, and NC surface ligands all affect the electronic and optoelectronic properties of NC solids. Herein, we introduce a unique PbS structure of necking percolative superlattices to exclude the morphological factors and study the effect of ligands on the NC properties. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy data indicate that 1,2-ethanedithiol (EDT), oxalic acid, mercaptopropionic acid, and NH4SCN (SCN) ligands were attached to the surface of NCs by substrate-supported ligand exchange. Field-effect transistors were tested and photodetector measurements were performed to compare these NC solids. An SCN-treated film had the highest mobility and responsivity under high-power intensity irradiation owing to its high carrier density, whereas an EDT-treated film had the lowest mobility, photocurrent, and dark current.
