| 1 | Microstructures and tensile properties of laser cladded AerMet100 steel coating on 300M steel显示文摘A layer of AerMet100 steel was coated on the surface of forged 300M steel using laser cladding technique.The chemical compositions, microstructures, hardness and tensile properties of this AerMet100/300M material were systematically investigated. Results show that the composition of the AerMet100 clad layer is macroscopically homogeneous, and a compositional transition zone with width of 150m is observed between the clad layer and heat affected zone. Microstructures in transition zone transform from the fine needle-like bainite in 300M steel to the lath tempered martensite in AerMet100 clad layer.Microstructures in heat affected zone also gradually change from the thick plate bainite and blocky retained austenite(unstable heat affected zone) to fine needle-like bainite and film-like austenite(stable heat affected zone) due to different thermal cycle processes. Thick plate bainite together with blocky retained austenite in unstable heat affected zone reduce the strength and ductility of AerMet100/300M material. However, the tensile specimens, consisting of clad layer and stable heat affected zone, show slightly inferior mechanical properties to 300M steel. | 3 | Effects of microstructure on fatigue crack propagation behavior in a bi-modal TC11 titanium alloy fabricated via laser additive manufacturing显示文摘In this study, the crack propagation behaviors in the equiaxed and equiaxed-columnar grain regions of a heat-treated laser additive manufacturing(LAM) TC11 alloy with a special bi-modal microstructure are investigated. The results indicate that the alloy presents a special bi-modal microstructure that comprises a fork-like primary α(αp) phase surrounded by a secondary α colony(αs) in the α phase matrix after the heat treatment is completed. The samples demonstrate a fast crack growth rate with larger da/d N values through the equiaxed grain sample versus across the equiaxed-columnar grain sample at low K values(<13.8). The differences that are observed between the crack propagation behaviors(in the crack initiation stage) of the samples can be mostly attributed to the different size and morphology of the αp lamellae and αscolony within the grains in the equiaxed and columnar grain regions rather than the grain boundaries. The cracks prefer to grow along the α/β boundary with a smooth propagation route and a fast propagation rate in the equiaxed grain region, where the αpand α clusters have a large size.However, in the columnar grain region, small and randomly distributed αplamellae generate a zigzagshaped propagation path with a reduction in the da/d N value. | 5 | Optimization of environmental variables in habitat suitability modeling for mantis shrimp Oratosquilla oratoria in the Haizhou Bay and adjacent waters显示文摘Habitat suitability index(HSI)models have been widely used to analyze the relationship between species abundance and environmental factors,and ultimately inform management of marine species.The response of species abundance to each environmental variable is different and habitat requirements may change over life history stages and seasons.Therefore,it is necessary to determine the optimal combination of environmental variables in HSI modelling.In this study,generalized additive models(GAMs)were used to determine which environmental variables to be included in the HSI models.Significant variables were retained and weighted in the HSI model according to their relative contribution(%)to the total deviation explained by the boosted regression tree(BRT).The HSI models were applied to evaluate the habitat suitability of mantis shrimp Oratosquilla oratoria in the Haizhou Bay and adjacent areas in 2011 and 2013–2017.Ontogenetic and seasonal variations in HSI models of mantis shrimp were also examined.Among the four models(non-optimized model,BRT informed HSI model,GAM informed HSI model,and both BRT and GAM informed HSI model),both BRT and GAM informed HSI model showed the best performance.Four environmental variables(bottom temperature,depth,distance offshore and sediment type)were selected in the HSI models for four groups(spring-juvenile,spring-adult,falljuvenile and fall-adult)of mantis shrimp.The distribution of habitat suitability showed similar patterns between juveniles and adults,but obvious seasonal variations were observed.This study suggests that the process of optimizing environmental variables in HSI models improves the performance of HSI models,and this optimization strategy could be extended to other marine organisms to enhance the understanding of the habitat suitability of target species. | Yunlei Zhang Huaming Yu Haiqing Yu Binduo Xu Chongliang Zhang Yiping Ren Ying Xue Lili Xu | 2020 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2020,39,6: | 5 |
| 6 | Hollow cobalt oxide nanoparticles embedded in nitrogen-doped carbon nanosheets as an efficient bifunctional catalyst for Zn–air battery显示文摘Rational design of low-cost, highly electrocatalytic activity, and stable bifunctional electrocatalysts for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR) and oxygen evolution reaction(OER) has been a great significant for metal–air batteries. Herein, an efficient bifunctional electrocatalyst based on hollow cobalt oxide nanoparticles embedded in nitrogen-doped carbon nanosheets(Co/N-Pg) is fabricated for Zn–air batteries. A lowcost biomass peach gum, consisting of carbon, oxygen, and hydrogen without other heteroatoms, was used as carbon source to form carbon matrix hosting hollow cobalt oxide nanoparticles. Meanwhile, the melamine was applied as nitrogen source and template precursor, which can convert to carbon-based template graphitic carbon nitride by polycondensation process. Owing to the unique structure and synergistic effect between hollow cobalt oxide nanoparticles and Co-N-C species, the proposal Co/N-Pg catalyst displays not only prominent bifunctional electrocatalytic activities for ORR and OER, but also excellent durability. Remarkably, the assembled Zn–air battery with Co/N-Pg air electrode exhibited a low discharge-charge voltage gap(0.81 V at 50 mA cm^-2) and high peak power density(119 mW cm^-2) with long-term cycling stability. | 7 | Analyses of the long-term salinity variability in the Bohai Sea and the northern Huanghai (Yellow) Sea显示文摘Based on the comprehensive collection of the field observed salinity of the Bohai Sea (BHS) and the northern Huanghai Sea (NHS) from the 1950s to the present, the patterns of 10-years-averaged salinity at the different layers in the recent five decades (the 1950s, the 1960s, the 1970s, the 1980s and the 1990s) are obtained by the spatial-temporal interpolation technique with the scrupulous data quality control in this study. Then, by combining the spatial-temporal interpolation technique with successive correction method, the annual distributions of salinity both in the BHS and in the NHS are obtained as well. The data analyses indicate that the overall salinity in the BHS and the NHS increases from the 1960s till the present, with the increase of annual mean salinity of 0.04 psu from the 1950s, and the maximum increase rate of salinity is about 0.14 psu/a in the Bohai Bay. The high salinity tongue extended significantly from the NHS into the BHS. The intensified eastern wind field is related to the western intrusion of the NHS warm current, which probably leads to the moving forward of the high salinity water mass into the BHS. However, it is rather different from the salinity distribution characteristics between the 1950s and the 1960s. The extensive precipitation in the 1960s could lead to an increase in the discharge of the Huanghe River, which might result in the decrease of salinity in the BHS. But the salinity isoline of 32 in the NHS still extended significantly into the BHS in the 1960s. Since the 1980s, the patterns of salinity distribution have changed thoroughly. The salinity in the central area of the BHS was low, while the salinity in the Bohai Bay and the Liaodong Bay was higher than the other regions with its horizontal salinity gradient decreasing in the 1980s. The Empirical Orthogonal Function Analysis (EOF) is also conducted to study the interannual salinity variability of the BHS and the NHS. The correlation coefficient between the time coefficient series of the main mode and the Huanghe River discharge can reach-64.57%. | 9 | Engineering Electronic Density and Coordination Environment of Mn–Nx Sites via Zn Cooperation for Quasi-Solid-State Zinc-Air Batteries显示文摘Due to the poor Fenton reactivity,single-atom Mn-based materials are generally identified as one of the most promising active catalysts for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR).Regulating the electronic density and coordination environment of atomically dispersed Mn centers is an effective strategy to enhance ORR activity of Mn-based materials.By introducing Zn sites,atomically dispersed Mn centers with multitudes of coordination(including Zn/Mn–Nx and Mn–Nx moieties)can be constructed to form Mn-based ORR catalyst(Zn/Mn-NC)with dual-atom sites.Around Mn–Nx sites,the Zn atoms can effectively modulate the electronic structure and coordination state of Mn centers in Zn/Mn-NC through d–d orbital coupling.The electronic interaction between Zn and Mn sites improves ORR activity,thereby optimizing the oxygen adsorption energy of Mn sites in Zn/Mn-NC and reducing the overall energy barrier.Zn/Mn-NC displays higher ORR half-wave potential than Pt/C(0.89 V vs 0.86 V).The quasi-solid-state zinc-air battery(ZAB)with Zn/Mn-NC as the cathode displayed excellent rechargeability,recyclability,and mechanical robustness.The strategy presented regulates the electronic density and coordination environment of singleatom Mn-based ORR catalysts in quasi-solid-state ZABs. | Daijie Deng Huixin Ma Suqin Wu Huan Wang Junchao Qian Jianchun Wu Huaming Li Cheng Yan Henan Li Li Xu | 2023 | Renewables2023,1,3: | 2 |
| 10 | Construction of a few-layer g-C_3N_4/α-MoO_3 nanoneedles all-solid-state Z-scheme photocatalytic system for photocatalytic degradation显示文摘The suppression of the recombination of electrons and holes(e–h) and the enhancement of the light absorption of semiconductors are two key points toward efficient photocatalytic degradation.Here,we report a few-layer g-C_3N_4/α-MoO_3 nanoneedles(flg-C_3N_4/α-MoO_3 NNs) all-solid-state Z-scheme mechanism photocatalyst synthesized via a typical hydrothermal method in a controlled manner.The recombination of the photo-induced e–h pairs could be effectively restrained by the Z-scheme passageway between the flg-C_3N_4 and α-MoO_3 NNs in the composite,which could also promise a high redox ability to degrade pollutants.And it became possible for the prepared photocatalyst to absorb light in a wide range of wavelengths.The detailed mechanism was studied by electron spin-resonance spectroscopy(ESR).The low-dimensional nanostructure of the two constituents(α-MoO_3 NNs with one-dimensional structure and flg-C_3N_4 with two-dimensional structure) endowed the composite with varieties of excellent physicochemical properties,which facilitated the transfer and diffusion of the photoelectrons and increased the specific surface area and the active sites.The 10 wt% flg-C_3N_4/α-MoO_3 NNs showed the best photocatalytic performance toward RhB degradation,the rate of which was 71.86%,~2.6 times higher than that ofα-MoO_3 NNs. | Xiaoni Zhang Jianjian Yi Hanxiang Chen Mao Mao Liang Liu Xiaojie She Haiyan Ji Xiangyang Wu Shouqi Yuan Hui Xu Huaming Li | 2019 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2019,28,2: | 2 |

| 20 | α-Fe_2O_3 nanoplates with superior electrochemical performance for lithium-ion batteries显示文摘On account of the high theoretical capacity, high corrosion resistance, environmental benignity, abundant availability and low cost, the research on a-Fe_2O_3 has been gradually fastened on as promising anodes materials toward lithium-ion batteries(LIBs). A high-performance anode for LIBs based on α-Fe_2O_3 nanoplates have been selectively prepared. The α-Fe_2O_3 nanoplates can be synthesized with iron ionbased ionic liquid as iron source and template. The α-Fe_2O_3 nanoplates as the anode of LIBs can display high capacity of around1950 mAh g^(-1) at 0.5 A g^(-1) which have exceeded the theoretical capacity of α-Fe_2O_3.
