| 1 | Associations between individual and environmental factors and habitual physical activity among older Chinese adults:A social–ecological perspective显示文摘Purpose: To examine, within a social–ecological framework, associations between multifaceted individual and environmental factors and habitual physical activity(HPA) among older Chinese adults.Methods: Through a mix of qualitative and quantitative methods, a survey instrument assessing various factors underlying 3 social–ecological dimensions of intrapersonal, interpersonal, and community and environmental resources was developed. Using a cross-sectional design, older adults(n = 1580, aged 67 ± 7 years) recruited from 10 communities in Shandong province completed the social–ecological survey of HPA. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Path Modeling.Results: Factors related to intrapersonal(medical knowledge, motivation, physical function, sport skills, socioeconomic status, and education),interpersonal(social support, social activity, and social norms), and community and physical environmental resources(safety, capacity, availability of and access to physical activity facilities) were found to be significantly associated with older adults' participation in HPA.Conclusion: The findings provide an initial validation of a social–ecological approach to the study of HPA in China, suggesting that strategies aimed at promoting physical activity in older adults should address multiple levels of factors that may contribute to the likelihood of older Chinese adults being physically active. | Xiangren Yi Zachary Pope Zan Gao Shumei Wang Fang Pan Jingpeng Yan Meng Liu Peipei Wu Jingjing Xu Rui Wang | 2016 | Journal of Sport and Health Science2016,5,3: | 11 |
| 2 | Kinetic comparative study on aerodynamic characteristics of hypersonic reentry vehicle from near-continuous flow to free molecular flow显示文摘A scaled model of the X38-like configuration was simulated under hypersonic conditions for the direct simulation Monte Carlo method and the unified gas kinetic scheme.The inflow conditions considered several flow regimes,from the near-continuum through the slip-transitional to the free molecular regime.Flow fields and surface properties were compared in detail between these two methods.Not only the density and temperature contours distribution but also the surface pressure,heat flux,friction distribution,both kinetic methods give fairly consistent results.Aerodynamics of the model were also achieved and compared.The results provided by both methods agreed with each other very well.The effects of the Knudsen number and angle of attack were assessed.It is meaningful to carry out comparative studies and accelerate both methods to further progress. | Jin Li Dingwu Jiang Xiangren Geng Jianqiang Chen | 2021 | Advances in Aerodynamics2021,3,1: | 4 |
| 3 | Cu nanoparticle-decorated two-dimensional carbon nanosheets with superior photothermal conversion efficiency of 65 % for highly efficient disinfection under near-infrared light显示文摘Low photothermal conversion efficiency restricts the antibacterial application of photothermal materials.In this work,two-dimensional carbon nanosheets(2D C)were prepared and decorated with Cu nanoparticles(2D C/Cu)by using a simple soluble salt template method combined with ultrasonic exfoliation.The photothermal conversion efficiency of 2 D C/Cu system can be optimized by changing the content of Cu nanoparticles,where the 2D C/Cu2 showed the best photothermal conversion efficiency(á)of 65.05%under 808 nm near-infrared light irradiation.In addition,the photothermal performance can affect the release behavior of Cu ions.This superior photothermal property combined with released Cu ions can endow this 2D hybrid material with highly efficient antibacterial efficacy of 99.97%±0.01%,99.96%±0.01%,99.97%±0.01%against Escherichia coli,Staphylococcus aureus,and methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus,respectively,because of the synergetic effect of photothermy and ion release.In addition,this 2D hybrid system exhibited good cytocompatibility.Hence,this study provides a novel strategy to enhance the photothermal performance of 2D materials and thus will be beneficial for development of antibiotics-free antibacterial materials with safe and highly efficient bactericidal activity. | Jie Song Jun Li Xiangren Bai Liang Kang Liying Ma Naiqin Zhao Shuilin Wu Yuan Xue Jiajun Li Xiaojian Ji Junwei Sha | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,28: | 2 |
| 4 | Effects of different cooking methods on peanut allergenicity显示文摘Peanut allergy is a type of serious food allergy worldwide.In this study,peanuts were treated with two different cooking methods.The effect of cooking on digestion stability was evaluated by simulated gastrointestinal digestions.The effects of cooking on the allergenicity were assessed by immunoblotting,passive cutaneous anaphylaxis (PCA) mice model and rat basophilic leukemia (RBL)-2H3 cell model.Results showed that raw peanuts were more stable to digestion than boiled and fried peanuts.SDS-PAGE showed that the quantities of allergens Ara h 1 (64 kDa),Ara h 2 (20 kDa),and Ara h 3 (38 kDa) in the boiled and fried peanuts were all reduced.Meanwhile,immunoblotting revealed the IgE binding capacities of boiled and fried peanuts were decreased significantly,especially the fried peanuts.In the PCA mice model,the vascular permeability of allergic mice,as well as the release of histamine,were both alleviated in mice gavaged with boiled and fried peanuts compared with raw peanuts.Lastly,the release of β-hexosaminidase of RBL-2H3 cells treated with boiled and fried peanuts was significantly decreased compared with the raw peanuts.In addition,the analyses of circular dichroism (CD) spectra showed that the α-helical content of peanut proteins was decreased after boiling and frying,indicating the structure stability of peanut allergens decreased.The analyses of ultraviolet (UV) spectra showed that aromatic amino acid residues were exposed,causing the change of the tertiary structure of peanut allergens after boiling and frying.In conclusion,the allergenicity of peanuts was significantly reduced after boiling and frying,especially frying. | Tao Wang Yutong Huang Xinlei Tang Hengpeng Wang Bing Li Xiangren Meng Songsong Jiang | 2022 | Food Bioscience2022,47,3: | 1 |
