1Coastal erosion in China under the condition of global climate change and measures for its prevention显示文摘The general characteristics of coastal erosion in China are described in terms of the regional geography, the form of erosion, the causes of erosion, and the challenges we are facing. The paper highlights the relationship between coastal erosion and sea level rises, storm waves and tides, and the influence of global climate changes on coastal erosion along the coastal zone of China. The response of the risk of coastal erosion in China to climate changes has obvious regional diversity. Research into and the forecasting of the effects of climate changes on coastal erosion are systemic work involving the natural environment, social economy, and alongshore engineering projects in the global system. 2Occurrence and formation potential of nitrosamines in river water and ground water along the Songhua River, China显示文摘The presence of mutagenic and carcinogenic nitrosamines in water is of great concern. In this study, seven nitrosamines including N-nitrosodimethylamine(NDMA), N-nitrosodiethylamine(NDEA), N-nitrosomethylethylamine(NMEA), N-nitrosopyrrolidine(NPyr), N-nitrosopiperidine(NPip), N-nitrosodi-n-propylamine(NDPA), and N-nitrosodi-n-butyl-amine(NDBA) were investigated in river water and ground water samples collected from 5 representative cities(Jilin, Songyuan, Harbin, Jiamusi and Tongjiang) along the Songhua River. The total concentrations of nitrosamines in ground water were n.d.(not detected) to 60.8 ng/L, NDMA was the most frequently detected nitrosamines in ground water, followed by NDEA and NPip.Relatively high detected frequency and concentrations of NDMA were also observed in river water samples, and the total nitrosamines' concentration at midstream is always higher than that at upstream and downstream. After 24 hr chlorination, concentration of NDMA, NDBA was obviously increased but NDEA was reduced. 3Distribution and existing state of indium in the Gejiu Tin polymetallic deposit, Yunnan Province, SW China显示文摘The Gejiu tin polymetallic deposit, located in the southwest margin of the South China Belt bordering on the Yangtze Block, is hosted in Triassic carbonates. This study shows that there is an indium enrichment in the ores.Indium mainly exists in sphalerite-rich massive sulfide ores with a concentration of 198.3–1570 ppm; the indium concentration in sphalerite ranges from 493.3 up to4781 ppm. The inferred indium reserve in the Gejiu Sn deposit is over 4000 t, indicating that the Gejiu tin deposit is a giant In-bearing Sn-polymetallic deposit, similar to the Dachang and Dulong in southwest China. Sphalerite with a high Fe value(8.05–13.27 wt%) is the predominant indium carrier mineral; meanwhile chalcopyrite plays the secondary indium carrier role. 14肝吸虫病:中国内地单中心32例回顾性分析显示文摘背景:肺和胸腔是吸虫病的主要受累器官,此外,中枢神经系统也时有感染。肝是异位吸虫病极少累及的器官。由于肝吸虫病的症状和检查结果不典型,该病在临床上常被误诊。方法:2008年2月至2015年3月间,本中心收治了32例经超声和CT发现的肝肿块患者,经多项进一步检查,肿块来源仍无法明确。我们最终行外科手术切除并将组织标本送病理检查。我们对这些病例的临床资料进行分析,并对疾病特征、诊断策略及治疗经验进行了总结。此外,我们还对这些病伤残进行了612月的随访。结果:所有病例均行半肝或部分肝切除术并最终经病理诊断为肝吸虫病。术后均恢复良好,症状显著改善,无一例复发。出院前肝功能均达到正常水平,影像学检查亦未发现任何其他肝脏病变。结论:基于临床表现、实验室检查及影像学检查难以诊断肝吸虫病,组织标本病理检查是惟一确诊肝吸虫病的手段。外科手术不仅可以切除病变,而且可以提供病理标本。本研究是至今最大例数的肝吸虫病报道,但手术疗效需进一步研究和更长期的随访。Xiwen Ye Xianze Xiong Nansheng Cheng Jiong Lu Yixin Lin 2017Gastroenterology Report2017,5,4:0
15Timing fluctuation correction for the front end of a 100-PW laser显示文摘The development of high-intensity ultrafast laser facilities provides the possibility to create novel physical phenomena and matter states.The timing fluctuation of the laser pulses is crucial for pump–probe experiments,which is one of the vital means to observe the ultrafast dynamics driven by intense laser pulses.In this paper,we demonstrate the timing fluctuation characterization and control of the front end of a 100-PW laser that is composed of a high-contrast optical parametric amplifier(seed)and a 200-TW optical parametric chirped pulse amplifier(preamplifier).By combining the timing jitter measurement with a feedback system,the laser seed and preamplifier are synchronized to the reference with timing fluctuations of 1.82 and 4.48 fs,respectively.The timing system will be a key prerequisite for the stable operation of 100-PW laser facilities and provide the basis for potential pump–probe experiments performed on the laser.Hongyang Li Keyang Liu Xinliang Wang Xingyan Liu Xianze Meng Yanqi Liu Liwei Song Yuxin Leng Ruxin Li 2023High Power Laser Science and Engineering2023,11,4:0
16Effect of the spectrally selective features of the cover and emitter combination on radiative cooling performance显示文摘Radiative cooling(RC)shows good potential for building energy saving by throwing waste heat to the cosmos in a passive and sustainable manner.However,most available radiative coolers suffer from low cooling flux.The situation becomes even deteriorated in the daytime when radiative coolers are exposed to direct sunlight.To tackle this challenge,an idea of employing both a spectrally selective cover and a spectrally selective emitter is proposed in this study as an alternative approach.A comparative study is conducted among four RC modules with different spectral characteristics for the demonstration of how the spectral profiles of the cover and the emitter affects the RC performance.The results under given conditions show that the RC module with a spectrally selective cover and a spectrally selective emitter(SC/SE)reaches a net RC power of 62.4 W/m^(2)when the solar radiation is 800 W/m^(2),which is about 1.8 times that of the typical RC module with a spectrally non-selective cover and a spectrally selective emitter(n-SC/SE).When the ambient temperature is 30°C,the SC/SE based RC module realizes a daytime sub-ambient temperature reduction of 20.0°C,standing for a further temperature decrement of 9.2°C compared to the n-SC/SE based RC module.Mingke Hu Suhendri Bin Zhao Xianze Ao Jingyu Cao Qiliang Wang Saffa Riffat Yuehong Su Gang Pei 2021Energy and Built Environment2021,2,3:0
17Biomimetic,fire-resistant,ultralight and porous carbon fiber sponges enabling safe and efficient remediation of crude oil spills in harsh environments显示文摘Advanced absorbents must meet the requirements of superior hydrophobic/oleophilic behavior,favorable adsorption efficiency,and high photothermal and Joule heating performance to handle frequent crude oil spills.However,current carbon-based absorbents suffer from poor fire resistance,thus severely limiting their application in harsh environments.Herein,inspired by a bird’s nest,a polymer“welding”strategy is proposed to design a versatile absorbent in which the polymer serves as a“binder”to interconnect discontinuous fibers together to form a 3D welded structure.The continuous conductive networks endow the absorbent with high photothermal and Joule heating effect,thus achieving all-weather adsorption,and improving the adsorption efficiency of crude oil via the self-heating function.Compared with other absorbents,the absorbent prepared via polymer welding technology exhibited preferable comprehensive performance,such as superhydrophobicity,high fire resistance,and high absorption efficiency.Specially,the noninflammable absorbent can restrain the combustion of crude oil,thereby reducing its combustion in case of fire.The versatile absorbent is expected to provide a promising solution for the safe and effi-cient cleanup of crude oil spills in harsh environments.Overall,the unique polymer welding strategy can be developed into a universal strategy for other material systems to expand their applications.Yushan Li Songjun Yao Song Yan Mei Xu Long Zheng Fei Pan Yeqiang Tan Xianze Yin 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,27:0
18Slc43a2^(+)T cell metastasis from spleen to brain in RGNNV infected teleost显示文摘The origin of T cells in the teleost's brain is unclear.While viewing the central nervous system(CNS)as immune privileged has been widely accepted,previous studies suggest that T cells residing in the thymus but not in the spleen of the teleost play an essential role in communicating with the peripheral organs.Here,we identified nine T cell subpopulations in the thymus and spleen of orange-spotted grouper(Epinephelus coioices)through single-cell RNA-sequencing analysis.After viral CNS infection with red-spotted grouper nervous necrosis virus(RGNNV),the number of slc43a2^(+)T cells synchronously increased in the spleen and brain.During the infection tests in asplenic zebrafish(tlx1^▲zebrafish model),no increase in the number of slc43a2^(+)T cells was observed in the brain.Single-cell transcriptomic analysis indicated that slc43a2^(+)T cells mature and functionally differentiate within the spleen and then migrate into the brain to trigger an immune response.This study suggests a novel route for T cell migration from the spleen to the brain during viral infection in fish.Qing Wang Yali Liu Minlin Zhang Min Yang Jiantao Liang Xiaoling Zuo Shaowen Wang Xianze Jia Huihong Zhao Han Jiang Qiang Lin Qiwei Qin 2024Science China(Life Sciences)2024,67,4:0
19Physical layer impairments tolerance based lightpath provision in software defined optical network显示文摘As all-optical networks grow with ever increasing ultra-high speed,the communication quality suffers seriously from physical layer impairments( PLIs). The same problem still exists in software defined optical network( SDON) controlled by OpenFlow. Aimed to solve this problem,a PLIs tolerance based lightpath provision scheme is proposed for OpenFlow controlled optical networks. This proposed approach not only takes the OSNR model to represent those linear PLIs factors,but also introduces those nonlinear factors into the OSNR model. Thus,the proposed scheme is able to cover most PLIs factors of each optical link and conduct optical lightpath provison with better communication quality. Moreover,PLIs tolerance model is also set up and considered in this work with some necessary extension to OpenFlow protocols to achieve better compatibility between physical layer impairments factors and various services connections. 20Notch signaling inhibitor and anti-PD-L1 antibody combination therapies decelerate tumor progression in pancreatic cancer显示文摘Objective:Pancreatic cancer(PC)is a highly lethal malignancy with an immunosuppressive environment.Yet,current immune checkpoint inhibitor monotherapies have shown limited efficacy in PC,prompting the need for combination therapies.Herein,we hypothesized that combinations of Notch signaling inhibitor and anti-ligand programmed death-ligand 1(PD-L1)antibody immunotherapy would show synergistic efficacy.Methods:The baseline expression of PD-L1 and HES1 was measured in PC cell lines,single-cell RNA-seq data of PC(GSA:CRA001160),and cBioPortal databases.In an in vitro study,MIA PaCa2 and SW1990 were used to explore the mechanism between Notch signaling and PD-L1.To study the effects in vivo,a subcutaneous tumor model was established using Pan02 cells treated with either anti-PD-L1 monoclonal antibody and/or Notch inhibitor DAPT.The study performed involving human samples was approved by the Ethics Committee of Peking Union Medical College Hospital(approval No.S-K460,approval date:April 23,2018).Animal studies were approved by the Animal Research Ethics Committee of Peking Union Medical College Hospital(approval No.XHDW-2019-049,approval date:November 28,2019).Results:The Notch signaling inhibitor upregulated PD-L1 expression in PC tumor cells both in vitro and in vivo.Notch effector HES1 knockdown produced PD-L1 upregulation in both MIA PaCa2 and SW1990 cells.Combined DAPT and anti-PD-L1 antibody treatment of Pan02 subcutaneous tumor model resulted in significantly reduced tumor weights compared to that with monotherapy,as well as significantly reduced Ki67 than that in the monotherapy group and control group.Flow cytometry analysis revealed significantly increased CD8+T cell infiltration in tumors of the combination group compared with those of the monotherapy group.Conclusion:Notch signaling blockade might enhance the antitumor effect of anti-PD-L1 therapy in PC.Hongmei Dai Xiafei Hong Dan Huang Huanwen Wu Xianze Wang Hao Chen Rui Jiang Wenyan Chen Yupei Zhao Wenming Wu 2021Journal of Pancreatology2021,4,2:0
