2Characteristics of elemental carbon and organic carbon in PM_(10) during spring and autumn in Chongqing,China显示文摘PM10 (particulate matter with aerodynamic diameter less than 10 m) samples were collected simultaneously at nine urban sites and one urbanbackground site during two intensive observation campaigns in 2006. Concentrations of elemental carbon (EC) and organic carbon (OC) in PM10were analyzed using an element analyzer. The characteristics regarding spatial and seasonal distribution patterns of OC and EC concentrations andtheir contributions to PM10 mass, as well as correlation between OC and EC, were investigated in detail. The average OC and EC concentrationsfor urban sites were 57.5 ± 20.8 and 8.3 ± 3.9 g/m3, respectively, both being around three times higher than those for urban background site. As awhole, EC concentrations did not show distinct seasonal variations, though OC concentrations were generally higher in autumn than in spring. Forurban sites, total carbonaceous aerosol (TCA) accounted for 33.2% in spring and 35.0% in autumn of PM10 mass. The OC and EC concentrationswere found significantly correlated to each other both in spring and in autumn, implying the existence of similar emission sources such as coalcombustion. The OC/EC ratios generally exceeded 2.0, indicating the presence of secondary organic carbon (SOC), whose estimated concentrationfor urban Chongqing was 26.7 and 39.4 g/m3, accounting for 48.9 and 61.9% of the total OC observed in the samples, in spring and in autumn,respectively.Di Ye Qi Zhao Changtan Jiang Jun Chen Xiaoxing Meng 2007China Particuology2007,5,4:17

4On environment-driven software model for Internetware显示文摘Internetware is envisioned as a general software paradigm for the application style of resources integration and sharing in the open, dynamic and uncertain platforms such as the Internet. Continuing the agent-based Internetware model presented in a previous paper, in this paper, after an analysis of the behavioral patterns and the technical challenges of environment-driven applications, a software-structuring model is proposed for environment-driven Internetware applications. A series of explorations on the enabling techniques for the model, especially the modeling, management and utilization of context information are presented. Several prototypical systems have also been built to prove the concepts and evaluate the techniques. 5Changes in active functional groups during low-temperature oxidation of coal显示文摘Using Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) combined with an adiabatic oxidation test, temperature-programmed oxidation and gas analysis, we studied the changes of active functional groups during low-temperature oxidation of lignite, gas coal, fat coal and anthracite. During slow low-temperature heat accumulation, aliphatic hydrocarbons, such as methyl and methylene, are attacked by oxygen atoms absorbed by pores on coal surfaces, generating unstable solid intermediate carbon-oxygen complexes, which then decompose into gaseous products (CO, CO2) and stable solid complexes. At the accelerated oxidation stage, the stable complexes begin to decompose in large amounts and provided new active sites for further oxidation, while the aliphatic structures gained energy and fell from the benzene rings to produce CxHy and H2.WANG Deming 2010Mining Science and Technology2010,20,1:16

7Prevention and control of coalfield fire technology:A case study in the Antaibao Open Pit Mine goaf burning area,China显示文摘It is very difficult to clearly detect the location of a burning area in a coal mine since it is hidden underground.So we conducted research on the distribution of the burning area before controlling it.Firstly,the original drilling technique was used to analyze and determine the loose and scope of caving of burning area through field test,and then obtained the gases and the temperature data in this area were according to the borehole data.By analyzing these data,we found out that the location of burning area concentrated in the loose and caving area;and finally,the location and development of the burning area within the tested area were accurately determined.Based on this theory,we used the ground penetrating radar(GPR) to find out the loose and caving scale in the burning area during the control process of the burning area,and then located the fire-extinguishing boreholes within target which we used to control burning fire in the section.A mobile comprehensive fire prevention and extinguishing system based on the three-phase foam fire prevention and control technique was then adopted and conducted in the burning area which took only 9 months to extinguish the 227,000 m 2 of burning area of 9# coal.This control technology and experience will provide a very important reference to the control of other coalfield fire and hillock fire in the future.Cao Kai Zhong Xiaoxing Wang Deming Shi Guoqing Wang Yanming Shao Zhenlu 2012International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2012,22,5:10
8Highly expressed BMP9/GDF2 in postnatal mouse liver and lungs may account for its pleiotropic effects on stem cell differentiation,angiogenesis,tumor growth and metabolism显示文摘Bone morphogenetic protein 9(BMP9)(or GDF2)was originally identified from fetal mouse liver cDNA libraries.Emerging evidence indicates BMP9 exerts diverse and pleiotropic functions during postnatal development and in maintaining tissue homeostasis.However,the expression landscape of BMP9 signaling during development and/or in adult tissues remains to be analyzed.Here,we conducted a comprehensive analysis of the expression landscape of BMP9 and its signaling mediators in postnatal mice.By analyzing mouse ENCODE transcriptome datasets we found Bmp9 was highly expressed in the liver and detectable in embryonic brain,adult lungs and adult placenta.We next conducted a comprehensive qPCR analysis of RNAs isolated from major mouse tissues/organs at various ages.We found that Bmp9 was highly expressed in the liver and lung tissues of young adult mice,but decreased in older mice.Interestingly,Bmp9 was only expressed at low to modest levels in developing bones.BMP9-associated TGFβ/BMPR type I receptor Alk1 was highly expressed in the adult lungs.Furthermore,the feedback inhibitor Smads Smad6 and Smad7 were widely expressed in mouse postnatal tissues.However,the BMP signaling antagonist noggin was highly expressed in fat and heart in the older age groups,as well as in kidney,liver and lungs in a biphasic fashion.Thus,our findings indicate that the circulating BMP9 produced in liver and lungs may account for its pleiotropic effects on postnatal tissues/organs although possible roles of BMP9 signaling in liver and lungs remain to be fully understood.Wei Liu Zhongliang Deng Zongyue Zeng Jiaming Fan Yixiao Feng Xi Wang Daigui Cao Bo Zhang Lijuan Yang Bin Liu Mikhail Pakvasa William Wagstaff Xiaoxing Wu Huaxiu Luo Jing Zhang Meng Zhang Fang He Yukun Mao Huiming Ding Yongtao Zhang Changchun Niu Rex C.Haydon Hue H.Luu Jennifer Moriatis Wolf Michael J.Lee Wei Huang Tong-Chuan He Yulong Zou 2020Genes & Diseases2020,7,2:9
9Two-fluid modeling of Geldart A particles in gas-solid micro-fluidized beds显示文摘The fluidizadon behavior of Geldart A particles in a gas-solid micro-fluidized bed was investigated by Eulerian-Eulerian numerical simulation.The commonly used Gidaspow drag model was tested first.The simulation showed that the predicted minimum bubbling velocities were significantly lower than the experimental data even when an extremely fine grid size(of approximately one particle diameter) was used.The modified Gibilaro drag model was therefore tested next.The predicted minimum bubbling velocity and bed voidage were in reasonable agreement with the experimental data available in literature.The experimentally observed regime transition phenomena from bubbling to slugging were also reproduced successfully in the simulations.Parametric studies indicated that the solid-wall boundary conditions had a significant impact on the predicted gas and solid flow behavior.Xiaoxing Liu Chuanqiang Zhu Shujun Geng Meiqin Yao Jinhui Zhan Guangwen Xu 2015Particuology2015,13,4:8
10Effect of cooling rates on the dendritic morphology transition of Mg–6Gd alloy by in situ X-ray radiography显示文摘The effect of cooling rate on the transition of dendrite morphology of a Mg-6 Gd(wt%) alloy was semiquantitatively analyzed under a constant temperature gradient by using synchrotron X-ray radiographic technique. Results show that equiaxed dendrites, including exotic 'butterfly-shaped' dendrite morphology, dominate at high cooling rate(>1 K/s). When the cooling rate decreases in the range of 0.5–1 K/s, the equiaxed-to-columnar transition takes place, and solute segregates at the center of two long dendrite arms(LDA) of the 'butterfly-shaped' dendrite. When the cooling rate is lower than 0.3 K/s, directional solidification occurs and the columnar dendritic growth direction gradually rotates from the crystalline axis to the thermal gradient direction with an increase in cooling rate. Meanwhile, interface moves faster but the dendrite arm spacing decreases. 11Evaluation of three tracers for labeling distal cerebrospinal fluidcontacting neurons显示文摘It has been reported that distal cerebrospinal fluidcontacting neurons(dCSF-CNs)can be detected by immunohistochemical assay using cholera toxin subunit B-conjugated horseradish peroxidase(CBHRP).In the present study,another two methods with CB alone or CB-conjugated FITC(CB-FITC)were used,and the results from the three methods were compared.Adult Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into three groups with CB-HRP,CB or CB-FITC.Tracers were diluted to 30%in artificial cerebrospinal fluid and injected separately(in a volume of 3μL)into the lateral ventricle.Animals from the CB-HRP and CB groups were perfused 48 h after surgery while animals from the CB-FITC group were perfused 1,3,6,12,24 or 48 h after surgery.The brain was sectioned(40μm)for immunofluorescence and five sections with positive neurons were selected from each rat for neuron counting.Three clusters of positive neurons in a'Y-like'distribution were detected ventral to the cerebral aqueduct of rats from the three groups.No significant difference was observed among the quantitative data.In the CB-FITC group,stable staining was detected even at 6 h after injection.Taken together,lateral ventricle injection of CB/CB-FITC is a useful method for labeling dCSFCNs in rats.The CB-FITC method makes dCSF-CNs labeling much simpler and more convenient.Fang Zhou Jiayou Wang Hongxing Zhang He Liu Guangping Zhao Cuihua Zu Xiaoxing Lu Licai Zhang 2013Neuroscience Bulletin2013,29,5:7
12Gas-water stratified flow patterns from electromagnetic tomography显示文摘Because of gravitational differentiation of multi-phase fluids,gas-water flow is usually stratified in highly inclined or horizontal gas wells.By using electrode arrays to scan flowing fluids, electromagnetic tomography can identify the flow patterns of mixed fluid from the different electrical properties of gas and water.The responses for different gas-water interface locations were calculated and then physical measurements were undertaken.We compared the results of the numerical simulation with the experimental data,and found that the response characteristics were consistent in the circumstances of uniform physical fields and stratified flows.By analyzing the signal characteristics,it is found that,with the change of the interface location,the response curves showed'steps'whose position and width were decided by the location of fluid interface.The measurement accuracy of this method depended on the vertical distance between adjacent electrodes.The results showed that computer simulation can simulate the measurement of the electromagnetic tomography accurately,so the physical experiment can be replaced.Wang Xiaoxing Wu Xiling 2009Petroleum Science2009,6,3:7
13Effects of Sini San used alone and in combination with fluoxetine on central and peripheral 5-HT levels in a rat model of depression显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effects of Sini San and fluoxetine on the levels of central and peripheral 5-HT in a rat model of depression, and provide new insight into the treatment of depression with integrated Chinese-Western Medicine.METHODS: A rat model of depression was established by chronic mild stress(CMS). Model rats received either Sini San, fluoxetine, a combination of the two drugs, or no drug treatment. Healthy naive rats were used as controls. Open field and sucrose preference tests were used to assess depression-like behavior. ELISA and immunohistochemistry were used to determine central and peripheral levels of 5-HT.RESULTS: In the group with no drug treatment,central 5-HT expression decreased while peripheral5-HT concentrations increased as CMS continued.Four weeks after CMS, Sini San alone was less effective in reducing depression-like behavior than fluoxetine alone or in combination with Sini San,but combined use was more effective than fluoxetine alone. Eight weeks after CMS, Sini San alone or in combination with fluoxetine was more effective in reducing depression-like behavior than fluoxetine alone. Furthermore Sini San and fluoxetine used alone or in combination notably increased central 5-HT expression and decreased peripheral 5-HT levels in the rat model.CONCLUSION:The results of the present study indicate that there is a synergistic action between the two medicines in the treatment of depression. Sini San exhibited a relatively long lag before its effects were observed; however, by eight weeks the Traditional Chinese Medicine appeared at least as effective as fluoxetine. 16Parallel Manufacturing for Industrial Metaverses:A New Paradigm in Smart Manufacturing显示文摘To tackle the complexity of human and social factors in manufacturing systems, parallel manufacturing for industrial metaverses is proposed as a new paradigm in smart manufacturing for effective and efficient operations of those systems, where Cyber-Physical-Social Systems(CPSSs) and the Internet of Minds(Io M) are regarded as its infrastructures and the 'Artificial systems', 'Computational experiments'and 'Parallel execution'(ACP) method is its methodological foundation for parallel evolution, closed-loop feedback, and collaborative optimization. In parallel manufacturing, social demands are analyzed and extracted from social intelligence for product R&D and production planning, and digital workers and robotic workers perform the majority of the physical and mental work instead of human workers, contributing to the realization of low-cost, high-efficiency and zero-inventory manufacturing. A variety of advanced technologies such as Knowledge Automation(KA), blockchain, crowdsourcing and Decentralized Autonomous Organizations(DAOs) provide powerful support for the construction of parallel manufacturing, which holds the promise of breaking the constraints of resource and capacity, and the limitations of time and space. 19Self-reaction of initial active groups in coal显示文摘For further understanding of self-heating of coal,we tested the reactions of seven different ranks of coal under inert atmosphere.In the test,50-gram of coal sample ranged from 0.18 mm to 0.38 mm was put into a special designed copper reaction vessel and let pure nitrogen to flow into the coal sample from the bottom at a rate of 100 mL/min.The programmed temperature enclosure was run at a programmed rate of 0.8 °C/min.The concentration of the carbon oxides and the coal temperature were tested.The results show that the coal reactions under inert atmosphere can generate CO and CO2.The reactions under inert atmosphere are affected by coal ranks,initial pore structure of coal and sulfur content.For low ranks of coal,the productions of carbon oxides are piecewise.The coal temperature is lower than the surrounding temperature throughout the reactions under inert atmosphere,but it rises quickly and reaches a crossing point temperature in the later stage under dry-air atmosphere.Based on the analysis,it indicates the self-reaction of initial active groups exists in the self-heating of coal besides the reactions in the two parallel reactions model.Spontaneous combustion of coal is due to both the oxidation heat accumulation and the chain reaction.A new reaction model of self-heating of coal was proposed.Qi Xuyao Wang Deming James A Milke Zhong Xiaoxing 2012International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2012,22,2:6
20Facile synthesis of microporous carbon through a soft-template pathway and its performance in desulfurization and denitrogenation显示文摘Wormlike/lamellar microporous carbons were prepared by using long alkyl chain primary amine hydrochloride as the template and resorci- nol/formaldehyde as the carbon source under highly acidic conditions. The template can be eliminated by high temperature treatment under an inert atmosphere. The obtained carbon materials were characterized by N2 adsorption-desorption, transmission electron microscopy, thermogravimetry and scanning electron microscopy. The results show that dodecylamine hydrochloride surfactant can be used as the template of wormlike micropores structure while octadecylamine hydrochloride results in both lamellar and wormlike micropores. The obtained carbon materials have the similar pore size in the range of 0.5~0.59 nm,but with various morphologies such as monolith,spheres,and coralline.The microporous carbon obtained from dodecylamine hydrochloride surfactant shows good adsorption performance to remove the refractory sulfur compounds and nitrogen-containing compounds in fuel.Bo Sun, Gang Li Xiaoxing Wang 2010Journal of Natural Gas Chemistry2010,19,5:6
