| 1 | Improvement of Evaluation Methods for Cultivated Land Quality显示文摘As the existing cultivated land quality evaluation index system is unable to accurately evaluate the quality of cultivated land after land remediation,a modified land use coefficient method was established in this study to calculate the land use coefficient of cultivated land after land remediation. An evaluation index system was first established for the land utilization level of cultivated land in the remediation areas.After that,the land utilization level index before and after the remediation was evaluated separately. The ratio of the two was used as the correction factor to correct the original land use coefficient. The corrected land use coefficient was used to evaluate the quality of cultivated land. The quality evaluation and verification of the land remediation areas in Yuzhou City were conducted. It was found that the land use coefficient corrected by the modified method was more consistent with that calculated by production method 5 years after the project acceptance. | 2 | Shallow crustal velocity structures revealed by active source tomography and fault activities of the Mianning–Xichang segment of the Anninghe fault zone, Southwest China显示文摘The Anninghe fault is a large left-lateral strike-slip fault in southwestern China. It has controlled deposition and magmatic activities since the Proterozoic, and seismic activity occurs frequently. The Mianning-Xichang segment of the Anninghe fault is a seismic gap that has been locked by high stress. Many studies suggest that this segment has great potential for large earthquakes(magnitude >7). We obtained three vertical velocity profiles of the Anninghe fault(between Mianning and Xichang) based on the inversion of P-wave first arrival times. The travel time data were picked from seismograms generated by methane gaseous sources and recorded by three linearly distributed across-fault dense arrays. The inversion results show that the P-wave velocity structures at depths of 0-2 km corresponds well with the local lithology. The Quaternary sediments have low seismic velocities, whereas the igneous rocks,metamorphic rocks, and bedrock have high seismic velocities. We then further discuss the fault activities of the two fault branches of the Anninghe fault in the study region based on small earthquakes(magnitudes between ML 0.5 and ML 2.5) detected by the Xichang array.The eastern fault branch is more active than the western branch and that the fault activities in the eastern branch are different in the northern and southern segments at the border of 28°21′N. The high-resolution models obtained are essential for future earthquake rupture simulations and hazard assessments of the Anninghe fault zone. | 4 | Linkages Between Tropical Cyclones and Extreme Precipitation over China and the Role of ENSO显示文摘This research investigated the linkages between tropical cyclones(TCs)and extreme precipitation,and their associations with El Nino-Southern Oscillation(ENSO)over China.The contribution of TC-induced to total extreme precipitation events along the southeast coast of China was higher than 50%,and the values gradually decreased as TCs moved inland.However,the precipitation extremes(magnitude and frequency)related to TCs did not show statistically significant changes over the most recent 57 years.The impacts of TCs on precipitation extremes are evidently modulated by the ENSO phases.We found less extreme precipitation linked with TCs in southeastern China during El Nino phase,because of the fewer TC tracks over this region and less TC genesis in the western North Pacific(WNP).The small TC track density over southeastern China is due to the prevalent westerly steering flow and abnormal integrated vapor transport from northern to southern China during El Nino years.Additionally,warmer sea surface temperature,more vigorous westerlies,larger vorticity in 250 hPa,and higher divergence in 850 hPa in an El Nino phase jointly displaced the mean genesis of the WNP TCs eastward and this led to fewer TCs passing through southeastern China. | Licheng Wang Zhengnan Yang Xihui Gu Jianfeng Li | 2020 | International Journal of Disaster Risk Science2020,11,4: | 2 |

| 7 | Detailed sedimentary structure of the Mianning segment of the Anninghe fault zone revealed by H/V spectral ratio显示文摘The Anninghe fault is a major left-lateral strike-slip fault in southwest China and a seismic gap with a potential earthquake larger than MW 7.0 lies in the Mianning-Xichang segment according to recent observations.The shallow structure of this region can offer a glimpse into the geometry of the fault,which plays an important role in earthquake hazard mitigation.To further investigate the sedimentary structure of the Anninghe fault zone,two dense linear arrays with a station spacing of around 80 m were deployed across the fault.In this study,the H/V spectral ratio(HVSR),together with its peak frequency at each station site,was obtained by applying the Nakamura method.Our findings demonstrate that the peak frequency behaves in high correlation with lithology and is controlled by topography.HVSR in foothills or regions with magmatic intrusion shows a single peak at about 2–3 Hz.In locations with abundant Quaternary sedimentation,such as Anninghe valleys and fracture zones,another low-frequency peak around 0.4 Hz can be noticed in HVSR.By using the empirical relationship,the thickness of the sedimentary layer around the fault fracture zone is estimated to be 300–600 m.Furthermore,the sedimentary interface shows a downward dip to the east,possibly influenced by the east-west extrusion stress.Considering the resonance effect,buildings with 6–9 stories in the valley area of the Anninghe require additional attention in earthquake hazard prevention. | Zeqiang Chen Huajian Yao Xihui Shao Song Luo Hongfeng Yang | 2023 | Earthquake Research Advances2023,3,3: | 1 |

| 9 | Ficolin-2 binds to HIV-1 gp120 and blocks viral infection显示文摘Ficolin-2 is a lectin complement pathway activator present in normal human plasma and usually associated with infectious diseases, but little is known about the role of ficolin-2 in human immunodeficiency virus(HIV) infection. Here, we describe our novel findings that serum ficolin-2concentrations of 103 HIV-1 patients were much higher compared to those of 57 healthy donors. In vitro analysis showed that HIV-1 infection could enhance ficolin-2 expression. We further demonstrated that recombinant ficolin-2 protein could bind with HIV-1 envelope glycoprotein gp120, and subsequently induce complement dependent cytotoxicity. Moreover, ficolin-2 could block the entry of HIV-1 into target cells(TZM-b1 and MT-2 cells) and infection in a ficolin-2 dosedependent manner. | 10 | Self-induced Secretion Expression of Trehalose Synthase in Bacillus subtilis WB800n显示文摘Bacillus subtilis is a non-pathogenic Gram-positive bacterium that has been widely used to produce industrially and pharmaceutically relevant proteins. Trehalose, a non reducing disaccharide used as protective agent and additive in foodstuffs and pharmaceutical products, can be prepared by trehalose synthase(TreS). The present work aims to construct a robust recombinant B. subtilis to achieve the secretory expression of TreS. In this study, the treS gene from Pseudomonas putida ATCC47054 was amplified by PCR and further cloned and expressed in B. subtilis WB800 N using pHT01 as expression vector. For avoiding the use of inducer, promoter P_(srfA) was used to replace the promoter P_(grac) in pHT01 and verify the activity of recombinant trehalose synthase. The TreS activity assay was employed to evaluate the performance of recombinant B. subtilis W800 N under different phosphate concentrations, carbon sources, carbon source concentrations, nitrogen sources and pH. The results showed that the P_(srfA) promoter had a good regulation effect under pH 8.0 condition, and the enzyme activity reached 6 000 U/L. Using the PhoD as the secretory signal peptide, TreS was effectively secreted, and the extracellular enzyme activity reached 2 100 U/L, accounting for 35% of the total enzyme activity. By optimizing the medium and fermentation conditions, the extracellular enzyme activity reached 6 900 U/L in 5 L of fermentor, and the proportion reached 48%. | 16 | The sensitivity of numerical simulation to vertical mixing parameterization schemes: a case study for the Yellow Sea Cold Water Mass显示文摘The vertical mixing parameterization scheme,by providing the eff ects of some explicitly missed physical processes and more importantly closing the energy budgets,is a critical model component and therefore imposes signifi cant impacts on model performance.The Yellow Sea Cold Water Mass(YSCWM),as the most striking and unique phenomenon in the Yellow Sea during summer,is dramatically aff ected by vertical mixing process during its each stage and therefore seriously sensitive to the proper choice of parameterization scheme.In this paper,a hindcast of YSCWM in winter of 2006 was implemented by using the Regional Ocean Modeling System(ROMS).Three popular parameterization schemes,including the level 2.5 Mellor-Yamada closure(M-Y 2.5),Generic Length Scale closure(GLS)and K-Profi le Parameterization(KPP),were tested and compared with each other by conducting a series of sensitivity model experiments.The infl uence of diff erent parameterization schemes on modeling the YSCWM was then carefully examined and assessed based on these model experiments.Although reasonable thermal structure and its seasonal variation were well reproduced by all schemes,considerable diff erences could still be found among all experiments.A warmer and spatially smaller simulation of YSCWM,with very strong thermocline,appeared in M-Y 2.5 experiment,while a spatially larger YSCWM with shallow mixed layer was found in GLS and KPP schemes.Among all the experiments,the discrepancy,indicated by core temperature,appeared since spring,and grew gradually by the end of November.Additional experiments also confi rmed that the increase of background diff usivity could eff ectively weaken the YSCWM,in either strength or coverage.Surface wave,another contributor in upper layer,was found responsible for the shrinkage of YSCWM coverage.The treatment of wave eff ect as an additional turbulence production term in prognostic equation was shown to be more superior to the strategy of directly increasing diff usivity for a coastal region. | Congcong BI Zhigang YAO Xianwen BAO Cong ZHANG Yang DING Xihui LIU Junru GUO | 2021 | Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2021,39,1: | 0 |

Using production capacity evaluation data and system health evaluation results, the health status and production capacity of farmland in the region are coupled. The results show that high productivity farmland is most distributed in areas with moderate health risks, while low productivity farmland is more distributed in areas with low health risks.
