| 5 | Modeling and simulation of urea-water-solution droplet evaporation and thermolysis processes for SCR systems显示文摘A reliable mathematical model of urea-water-solution(UWS) droplet evaporation and thermolysis is developed.The well known Abramzon–Sirignano evaporation model is corrected by introducing an adjustment coefficient considering the different evaporation behaviors of UWS droplet at different ambient temperatures. A semidetailed kinetic scheme of urea thermolysis is developed based on Ebrahimian's work. Sequentially, the evaporation characteristics, decomposition efficiency of a single UWS droplet and deposit formation are simulated. As a result, the relation of evaporation time, relative velocity, exhaust temperature and droplet initial diameter is presented. Synchronously, it indicates that temperature is the decisive factor for urea thermolysis. Different temperatures result in different deposit components, and deposit yield is significantly influenced by temperature and decomposition time. | 7 | Infective viruses produced from full-length complementary DNA of swine vesicular disease viruses HK/70 strain显示文摘The full-length cDNA clone of swine vesicular disease virus HK/70 strain named pSVOK12 was constructed in order to study the antigenicity, replication, maturation and pathogenicity of swine vesicular disease virus. In vitro transcription RNA from pSVOK12 transfected IBRS-2 cells and the re- covered virus RNA were isolated and sequenced, then indirect hemagglutination test, indirect im- munofluorescence assays, eleectron microscope test, 50% tissue culture infecting dose (TCID50) assays and mouse virulence studies were performed to study the antigenicity and virulence of the recovered virus. The result showed that the infectious clones we ob- tained and the virus derived from pSVOK12 had the same biological properties as the parental strain HK/70. | 9 | Introduction of antisense waxy gene into main parent lines of indica hybrid rice显示文摘Amylose content in rice endosperm is one of the key determinants of rice eating and cooking quality, and the poor quality of indica hybrid rice is closely related to the high amylose level in rice grains. In order to improve the grain quality of the indica hybrid rice by genetic engineering, an antisense fragment of rice waxy gene, driven by the 5’-franking sequences of the rice waxy gene, was successfully introduced into three major parent lines of indica hybrid rice, all contain a high amylose level in the grains, via Agrobacte-rium, and more than 100 hygromycin-resistant plants were regenerated. The analysis of PCR amplification and Southern blots indicated that the T-DNA containing the antisense waxy gene had been integrated into the genome of transgenic rice plants. Most of the primary transgenic rice plants grew normally, and the mature seeds from these transgenic plants were performed for analysis of the amylose content. | 10 | Analysis of steering performance of differential coupling wheelset显示文摘In order to improve the curving performance of the conventional wheelset in sharp curves and resolve the steering ability problem of the independently rotating wheel in large radius curves and tangent lines, a differential coupling wheelset(DCW) was developed in this work. The DCW was composed of two independently rotating wheels(IRWs) coupled by a clutch-type limited slip differential.The differential contains a static pre-stress clutch, which could lock both sides of IRWs of the DCW to ensure a good steering performance in curves with large radius and tangent track. In contrast, the clutch could unlock the two IRWs of the DCW in a sharp curve to endue it with the characteristic of an IRW, so that the vehicles can go through the tight curve smoothly. To study the dynamic performance of the DCW, a multi-body dynamic model of single bogie with DCWs was established. The self-centering capability, hunting stability,and self-steering performance on a curved track were analyzed and then compared with those of the conventional wheelset and IRW. | 11 | A digitally generated ultrafine optical frequency comb for spectral measurements with 0.01-pm resolution and 0.7-μs response time显示文摘Optical spectral measurements are crucial for optical sensors and many other applications,but the prevailing methods,such as optical spectrum analysis and tunable laser spectroscopy,often have to make compromises among resolution,speed,and accuracy.Optical frequency combs are widely used for metrology of discrete atomic and molecular spectral lines.However,they are usually generated by optical methods and have large comb spacing,which limits the resolution for direct sampling of continuous spectra.To overcome these problems,this paper presents an original method to digitally generate an ultrafine optical frequency comb(UFOFC)as the frequency ruler for spectral measurements.Each comb line provides one sampling point,and the full spectrum can be captured at the same time using coherent detection.For an experimental demonstration,we adopted the inverse fast Fourier transform to generate a UFOFC with a comb spacing of 1.46 MHz over a 10-GHz range and demonstrated its functions using a Mach–Zehnder refractive index sensor.The UFOFC obtains a spectral resolution of 0.01 pm and response time of 0.7 μs;both represent 100-fold improvements over the state of the art and could be further enhanced by several orders of magnitude.The UFOFC presented here could facilitate new label-free sensor applications that require both high resolution and fast speed,such as measuring binding kinetics and single-molecule dynamics. | Yuan Bao Xingwen Yi Zhaohui Li Qingming Chen Jianping Li Xudong Fan Xuming Zhang | 2015 | Light(Science & Applications)2015,4,1: | 4 |

An analytical approach to simulate the seismic response of the BTI system is developed. In this approach, the behavior of the bridge structure is assumed to be within the elastic range under moderate ground motions. A bullet train car model idealized as a sprung-mass system is established. The viaduct is modeled with 3D finite elements. The BTI analysis algorithm is verified by comparing the analytical and experimental results. The seismic analysis is validated through comparison with a general program. Then, the seismic responses of the BTI system are simulated and evaluated. | 13 | A new class of luminescent nanoprobes based on main-group Sb^(3+) emitters显示文摘Inorganic luminescent nanocrystals(NCs)doped with main-group ns^(2)-metal ions have evoked tremendous interest in many technological fields owing to their superior optical properties.Herein,we report a new class of luminescent nanoprobes based on 5s2-metal Sb3+-doped CaS NCs that are excitable by using a near ultraviolet light-emitting diode.The optical properties and excited-state dynamics of Sb3+in CaS NCs are comprehensively surveyed through temperature-dependent steady-state and transient photoluminescence(PL)spectroscopies.Owing to the strong electron-phonon coupling of Sb^(3+)in CaS NCs,Sb3+ions experience a dynamic Jahn-Taller distortion on the excited state,which results in bright green PL of Sb3+with a broad emission band,a large Stokes shift,and a high PL quantum yield up to 17.3%.By taking advantage of the intense PL of Sb^(3+),we show in proof-of-concept experiments the application of biotinylated CaS:Sb^(3+)NCs as sensitive luminescent nanoprobes for biotin receptor-targeted cancer cell imaging and zebrafish imaging with a high imaging contrast.These findings provide fundamental insights into the excited-state dynamics of Sb^(3+)in CaS NCs,thus laying a foundation for future design of novel and versatile luminescent nanoprobes via main-group ns2-metal doping. | Chunguang Zhang Meiran Zhang Wei Zheng Jiaojiao Wei Shiteng Wang Ping Huang Xingwen Cheng Tao Dai Zhuo Chen Xueyuan Chen | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,1: | 3 |
| 14 | Scalable Membraneless Direct Liquid Fuel Cells Based on a Catalyst-Selective Strategy显示文摘This perspective presents a membraneless direct liquid fuel cell(DLFC)concept based on a catalyst-selective strategy.The membraneless DLFCs are operated at low temperatures by employing a non-precious cathode catalyst with a high catalytic selectivity.The uniqueness is that the inexpensive cathode catalyst only catalyzes the oxygen reduction reaction but does not catalyze the oxidation reaction of a specific fuel.Therefore,during the operation of DLFCs,the liquid fuel can enter the cathode freely without any concern of fuel crossover.This catalyst-selective approach tactfully avoids the use of high-cost or technically unviable ion-exchange polymer membranes in DLFCs.The catalyst-selective operating principle also overcomes the scalability issue of the traditional laminar-flow membraneless DLFCs.Through a proper management of the anode and cathode catalysts in the cell,a variety of inexpensive,renewable alcohols,and small-molecule organics can be employed as anode fuels.This innovative approach of membraneless alkaline DLFCs offers a great opportunity for the development of inexpensive energy-generation systems for both mobile and stationary applications.In addition to summarizing the principle and the research progress of the unique membraneless DLFC platform,the challenges and future research directions are presented. | Xingwen Yu Arumugam Manthiram | 2018 | Energy & Environmental Materials2018,1,1: | 3 |

| 18 | Characteristics of Laser Produced Plasmas Obtained by Fast ICCD Photography, Schlieren Photography and Optical Emission Spectroscopy显示文摘Pulsed laser produced plasmas(LPP)are important for industrial applications and fundamental researches,and their complex,multi-physical and cross-chemical processes need to be investigated more comprehensively.In this work,images of the luminous plasma,the spatial density distribution,and the plasma parameters are experimentally investigated by using fast ICCD photography,schlieren photography,and optical emission spectroscopy.Plasmas are produced by a 1 064 nm,15 ns Nd:YAG laser.Free expanding and splitting phenomena are observed in vacuum(at the pressure of about 1×10 3Pa)and air(at the pressure of 20 Pa)using fast photography,respectively.Meanwhile,shock waves formed in the atmospheric laser produced plasma are visualized by schlieren photography.The formation of shock waves is interpreted with the Sedov-Taylor theory,and an averaged expansion velocity about 375 m/s of the shock waves is estimated during 200~1 000 ns.Atmospheric air is found to have significant confinement effects on the plasma expansions compared to that in vacuum or low pressure ambient.Based on the optical emission spectroscopy,after 1 000 ns,at 0.6 mm above the target,the plasma temperature is about 7 800 K and the electron number density is approximately 0.64×1016cm-3. | WEI Wenfu WU Jian LI Xingwen JIA Shenli QIU Aici | 2013 | 高电压技术2013,39,9: | 2 |
