1Chinese consensus guidelines for diagnosis and management of gastrointestinal stromal tumor显示文摘In order to further promote the standardization of diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal stromal tumor(GIST) in China, the members of Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology(CSCO) Expert Committee on GIST thoroughly discussed the key contents of the consensus guidelines, and voted on the controversial issue. In final, the Chinese consensus guidelines for the diagnosis and management of GIST(2017 edition) was formed on the basis of 2013 edition consensus guidelines, which is hereby announced. 2Application of next-generation sequencing technology to precision medicine in cancer: joint consensus of the Tumor Biomarker Committee of the Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology显示文摘Next-generation sequencing(NGS) technology is capable of sequencing millions or billions of DNA molecules simultaneously.Therefore, it represents a promising tool for the analysis of molecular targets for the initial diagnosis of disease, monitoring of disease progression, and identifying the mechanism of drug resistance. On behalf of the Tumor Biomarker Committee of the Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology(CSCO) and the China Actionable Genome Consortium(CAGC), the present expert group hereby proposes advisory guidelines on clinical applications of NGS technology for the analysis of cancer driver genes for precision cancer therapy. This group comprises an assembly of laboratory cancer geneticists, clinical oncologists, bioinformaticians,pathologists, and other professionals. After multiple rounds of discussions and revisions, the expert group has reached a preliminary consensus on the need of NGS in clinical diagnosis, its regulation, and compliance standards in clinical sample collection. 3Effect of soothing liver therapy on oocyte quality and growth differentiation factor-9 in patients undergoing in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effect of Soothing liver therapy on infertile women undergoing in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer(IVF-ET)and to explore its mechanism.METHODS:Fifty-eight women with tubal infertility were randomized into two groups:30 in an experimental group treated with Xiaoyao powder(Shugan)plus gonadotropin-releasing hormone analog(GnRHa)/follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH)/human chorionic gonadotropin(hCG)and 28 in the control group who were treated with GnRHa/FSH/hCG only.The total gonadotropin(Gn)doses required,endometrial thickness,oocyte numbers,high quality embryo production rate and pregnancy rate of the two groups were compared.The concentration of growth differentiation factor-9(GDF-9)in follicular fluid was detected by western blotting and the expression of GDF-9 mRNA in granulosa cells was measured using reverse tran-scription-polymerase chain reaction amplification.RESULTS:In the experimental group,the Gn dose was significantly lower than that in the control group;the endometrial thickness,high quality embryo production and pregnancy rates were significantly higher and the expression of GDF-9 mRNA was also significantly higher than in the control group(all P<0.05).CONCLUSION:Shugan treatment can improve the pregnancy rate of women with tubal infertility;its mechanism is possibly related to the increased expression of GDF-9 in granulosa cells.Xing Gao Xiufeng Chang Huilan Du Min Zhang Jianping Zhang Aiping Zhu 2013Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2013,33,5:11
4Evidence of compliance with and effectiveness of guidelines for noninvasive prenatal testing in China:a retrospective study of 189,809 cases显示文摘In China,the medical guidelines recommend performing noninvasive prenatal testing(NIPT)with caution for pregnant women aged 35 years or older.However,the Mother and Child Health Care Law suggests that all primiparous women whose age is older than 35 years undergo prenatal diagnosis.These two inconsistent suggestions/recommendations have made obstetricians confused about whether to offer NIPT to these older pregnant women.To face this issue and find out the solution we performed a retrospective study of 189,809 NIPT samples collected from 28 provincial-leveled administrative units in China.Of 1,564 women with high-risk pregnancies who underwent NIPT,459(29.3%)did not participate in follow-up.The compound sensitivity and specificity of NIPT for trisomies 21,18 and 13 detection was 99.1%(95%CI,98.0%–99.6%)and 99.9%(95%CI,98.8%–99.9%),respectively.In secundiparous women,NIPT showed high sensitivity and specificity similar to that in primiparous women.The observed risk for trisomies 21 and 18 significantly increased when the maternal age was 39 and older.After the publication of the current NIPT policy,the follow-up rate at our center was 97.9%;however,a large number of women are not in maternal and infant care networks nationwide,and that makes the follow-up rate outside our center relatively low.Our study shows that to balance the prevention of major aneuploidies and the limited resources for prenatal diagnosis,the cut-off age of 35 for invasive prenatal diagnosis might be unnecessary.Although the NIPT guidelines are well written,how to practice it effectively,especially in less industrialized areas,is worth discussing.Chan Tian Tao Deng Xiuhuang Zhu Chen Gong Yangyu Zhao Yuan Wei Rong Li Xiufeng Xu Miaonan He Zhiwei Zhang Jing Cheng Mol BenWillem Jie Qiao 2020Science China(Life Sciences)2020,63,3:10
5Oriented growth and assembly of zeolite crystals on substrates显示文摘The aligned array and thin film of zeolites and molecular sieves possess a variety of potential applica- tions in membrane separation and catalysis, chemical sensors, and microelectronic devices. There are two main synthesis methods for manufacturing the aligned arrays and thin films of zeolites and mo- lecular sieves, i.e. in situ hydrothermal reaction and self-assembly of crystal grains on substrates. Both of them have attracted much attention in the scientific community worldwide. A series of significant progress has been made in recent years. By the in situ hydrothermal synthesis, the oriented nucleation and growth of zeolite and molecular sieve crystals can be achieved by modifying the surface properties of substrates or by changing the composition of synthesis solutions, leading to the formation of uni- formly oriented multicrystal-aligned arrays or thin films. On the other hand, the crystal grains of zeo- lites and molecular sieves can be assembled onto the substrate surface in required orientation using different bondages, for instance, the microstructure in the array or thin film can be controlled. This review is going to summarize and comment the significant results and progress reported recently in manufacturing highly covered and uniformly aligned arrays or thin films of zeolites and molecular sieves. It involves (1) in situ growth of highly aligned zeolite arrays and thin films via embedding func- tional groups on the substrate surface, modifying the surface microstructure of substrates, as well as varying the composition of synthesis solutions; (2) assembly of zeolite and molecular sieve crystals on various substrates to form aligned arrays and thin films with full coverage by covalent, ionic, and in- termolecular coupling interactions between crystals and substrates; (3) coupling surface assembly with microcontact printing or photoetching technique to produce patterned zeolite arrays and thin films. Finally, the functionality and applications of zeolite arrays and thin films are briefly introduced. 6Biodegradable Zn-Sr alloy for bone regeneration in rat femoral condyle defect model: In vitro and in vivo studies显示文摘Bone defects are commonly caused by severe trauma,malignant tumors,or congenital diseases and remain among the toughest clinical problems faced by orthopedic surgeons,especially when of critical size.Biodegradable zinc-based metals have recently gained popularity for their desirable biocompatibility,suitable degradation rate,and favorable osteogenesis-promoting properties.The biphasic activity of Sr promotes osteogenesis and inhibits osteoclastogenesis,which imparts Zn-Sr alloys with the ideal theoretical osteogenic properties.Herein,a biodegradable Zn-Sr binary alloy system was fabricated.The cytocompatibility and osteogenesis of the Zn-Sr alloys were significantly better than those of pure Zn in MC3T3-E1 cells.RNA-sequencing illustrated that the Zn-0.8Sr alloy promoted osteogenesis by activating the wnt/β-catenin,PI3K/Akt,and MAPK/Erk signaling pathways.Furthermore,rat femoral condyle defects were repaired using Zn-0.8Sr alloy scaffolds,with pure Ti as a control.The scaffold-bone integration and bone ingrowth confirmed the favorable in vivo repair properties of the Zn-Sr alloy,which was verified to offer satisfactory biosafety based on the hematoxylin-eosin(H&E)staining and ion concentration testing of important organs.The Zn-0.8Sr alloy was identified as an ideal bone repair material candidate,especially for application in critical-sized defects on load-bearing sites due to its favorable biocompatibility and osteogenic properties in vitro and in vivo.Bo Jia Hongtao Yang Zechuan Zhang Xinhua Qu Xiufeng Jia Qiang Wu Yu Han Yufeng Zheng Kerong Dai 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,6:9
7Domain structure and defects of highly ordered Bi_4Si_3O_(12) micro-crystals显示文摘Highly ordered Bi4Si3O12 micro-crystals were prepared at normal atmosphere. Phase identification of the prepared crystals was accomplished by X-ray diffractometer (XRD). Domain structure and defects were characterized by environmental scanning electron microscopy (ESEM). XRD shows that the obtained micro-crystals are of eulytite structure with chemical formulation of Bi4Si3O12. A highly ordered growth pattern is confirmed due to the faster growth of the {124} faces than that of the {204} faces by ESEM. The growing process of the domain structure is of pollen parent and filial generation pattern. The filial generations of Bi4Si3O12 crystals are generated from the pollen parent. Cracks generate from the defect areas and propagate along the {124} faces due to their lower binding energy under a proper temperature gradient, contributing to the total transcrystalline fracture. It is confirmed that the generation and development of the voids in the crystal grains can be developed when unmatched dimensions of the two opposite faces are formed. 8Synthesis and applications of mesoporous Cu-Zn-Al_2O_3 catalyst for dehydrogenation of 2-butanol显示文摘A series of mesoporous Cu-Zn-Al2O3 materials have been synthesized at ambient temperature and their structure was characterized by XRD, N2 physical adsorption and TPR techniques. Their catalytic applications for the dehydrogenation of 2-butanol to methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) were evaluated in a fixed-bed flow reactor at atmospheric pressure. It is demonstrated from the XRD patterns that both the as-synthesized samples and calcined samples have the typical XRD patterns of meso-structured materials and the results of N2O chemical adsorption showed that Cu was embedded in the framework of the mesoporous materials and homogeneously dispersed in the mesoporous Cu-Zn-Al2O3 materials. 11Regulatory mechanism of hormones of the pituitary-target gland axes in kidney-Yang deficiency based on a support vector machine model显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To study the development mechanism of kidney-Yang deficiency through the establishment of support vector machine models of relevant hormones of the pituitary-target gland axes in rats with kidney-Yang deficiency syndrome.METHODS:The kidney-Yang deficiency rat model was created by intramuscular injection of hydrocortisone,and contents of the hormones of the pituita- ry-thyroid axis:thyroid stimulating hormone(TSH),3,3',5-triiodothyronine(T_3) and thyroxine(T_4);hormones of the pituitary-adrenal gland axis:adrenocorticotropic hormone(ACTH) and Cortisol(CORT);and hormones of the pituitary-gonadal axis:luteinizing hormone(LH),follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH),and testosterone(T),were determined in the early,middle,and advanced stages.Ten support vector regression(SVR) models of the hormones were established to analyze the mutual relationships among the hormones of the three axes.RESULTS:The feedback control action of the pituitary-adrenal axis began to lose efficacy from the middle stage of kidney-Kong deficiency.The contents all hormones of the three pituitary-target gland axes decreased in the advanced stage.Relative errors of the jackknife test of the SVR models all were less than 10%.CONCLUSION:Imbalances in mutual regulation among the hormones of the pituitary-target gland axes,especially loss of effectiveness of the pituitary-adrenal axis,is one pathogenesis of kidney-Yang deficiency.The SVR model can accurately reflect the complicated non-linear relationships among pituitary-target gland axes in rats with of kidney-Yang deficiency.Wang Xiufeng Zhang Lei Huang Rongbo Wu Qinghua Min Jianxin Ma Na Luo Laicheng 2015Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2015,35,2:7
12The Preliminary Discussion of the Potential of GNSS-IR Technology for Terrain Retrievals显示文摘The expansion of research and applications of Global Navigation Satellite Systems(GNSS)has revealed the information of reflecting surface in inherent multipath errors.GNSS signals,usually used to measure position,have been demonstrated that they can be used to retrieve water properties including water level,soil moisture,snow depth,and vegetation water content,which are important for climate analysis and water resources monitoring.Reflected GNSS signals with different azimuths can carry information of the corresponding reflecting zone,which means every reflected signal has distinct'signal-tonoise ratio(SNR)characteristics'influenced by specific reflecting zones—and the parameter named'Reflector Height(RH)'deduced from SNR frequency is focused on in this study.Thus,after interpolation of a series of reflector height by coordinates of the footprint,products describing highly detailed terrain over a reflecting footprint can be produced.Data of three GNSS sites in Earth Scope Plate Boundary Observatory,named P025,P351 and P101,was used to evaluate the terrain after calculating the terrain slopes and correcting the footprint following the slopes.A comparison of the results with a digital elevation model(DEM)showed that it is possible to retrieve terrain by GNSS-Interferometric Reflectometry(GNSS-IR);and the comparison with terrain slopes from DEMs in previous research also validated its potential.Xiaolei WANG Xiufeng HE Qin ZHANG Zijin NIU 2021Journal of Geodesy and Geoinformation Science2021,4,2:6
13Diversity of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungal spore communities and its relations to plants under increased temperature and precipitation in a natural grassland显示文摘Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi(AMF)form mutualisms with most plant species,and therefore,understanding how AMF communities will respond to climate change is essential for predictions of changes in plant communities.To evaluate the impact of global climate change on AMFs and plant-AMF interactions in a natural grassland in Inner Mongolia,both artificial warming and watering treatments were assigned to experimental plots.Our results indicate that(1)warming and precipitation significantly affected the relative spore abundance of abundant sporulating AMF species;(2)the relative abundance of weak sporulating AMF species and AMF diversity decreased under experimental warming;(3)evidence was found that the composition of the AMF community in a given year might be correlated with plant community composition in the following year;and(4)grasses and forbs showing different preferences to Claroideoglomus etunicatum or Ambispora gerdemannii dominated plots.Our results imply that climate change appears to induce changes in AMF assemblages with knock-on effects on grassland plant communities.AMF communities may play a much more important role than we have thought in the responses of ecosystem to global climate changes.SUN XiuFeng SU YuanYing ZHANG Ying WU MingYu ZHANG Zhe PEI KeQuan SUN LiFu WAN ShiQiang LIANG Yu 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,33:6

15Angle Dependence Analysis Method to Determine SNRArc Applied to GNSSMRSea Level Retrieval显示文摘The Global Navigation Satellite Systems(GNSS)broadcast radio signals are continuously at two or more frequencies in the L-band,and the multipath signals from sea surface recorded by off-the-shelf geodetic receivers have been demonstrated they can be used to estimate sea level,using a technology called GNSS multipath reflectometry(GNSS-MR).Before proceeding to estimate reflection parameters,the azimuth range and elevation angle range are needed to be defined,as only with suitable azimuths and elevation angles the sensing zones can be guaranteed on water.So,this study presents an angle dependence analysis method to jointly select the azimuth range and elevation angle range based on wavelet analysis which can describe the nonstationary power of different sinusoidal oscillations changed with elevation angle.The key of this method is to use one grid model to screen the spectrum power of multipath oscillation on different elevation angles and azimuths in this work.Then the elevation angles and the azimuths can be determined by searching grids with greater power.The GPS and GLONASS data of two MultiGNSS Experiment(MGEX)stations named BRST and MAYG was analyzed and used to retrieve.Firstly,the angle dependence analysis was carried out to determine the elevation range and azimuth range.Secondly,the sea levels were retrieved from individual signals.Finally,the retrievals of individual signals are combined to form a 10-min sea level retrieval series.The RMSEs of the combined retrievals are both less than 15 cm.The results show the effectiveness of the selection of angle range based on the angle dependence analysis method.Xiaolei WANG Xiufeng HE Qin ZHANG Mingfeng SONG Zijin NIU 2021Journal of Geodesy and Geoinformation Science2021,4,2:6

17COP9 signalosome subunit PfCsnE regulates secondary metabolism and conidial formation in Pestalotiopsis fici显示文摘The COP9 signalosome(CSN) is a highly conserved multiprotein complex in all eukaryotes and involved in regulation of organism development. In filamentous fungi, several lines of evidence indicate that fungal development and secondary metabolism(SM) are mediated by the fifth subunit of CSN, called CsnE. Here we uncover a connection with CsnE and conidial formation as well as SM regulation in the plant endophytic fungus Pestalotiopsis fici. A homology search of the P. fici genome with CsnE, involved in sexual development and SM in Aspergillus nidulans, identified PfCsnE. Deletion of PfcsnE resulted in a mutant that stopped conidial production, but the conidia are recovered in a PfcsnE complemented strain. This indicates that PfCsnE is required for the formation of conidia. Secondary metabolite analysis demonstrated that the ΔPfcsnE strain produced more chloroisosulochrin, less ficiolide A production in comparison to wild type(WT). Transcriptome analysis of WT andΔPfcsnE strains indicated that PfcsnE impacts the expression levels of 8.37% of 14,797 annotated genes. Specifically, nine biosynthetic gene clusters(BGCs) were up-regulated and three BGCs were down-regulated by PfCsnE. 18Interspecific competition effects on phosphorus accumulation by Hydrilla verticillata and Vallisneria natans显示文摘The competition between submersed plants has been recognized as an important factor influencing the structure of plant communities in shallow lakes. The ability of different species to take up and store nutrients from the surrounding ambience varies, and hence plant community structure might be expected to affect the cycling of nutrients in lake ecosystems. In this study, the uptake of phosphorus by Hydrilla verticillata and Vallisneria natans was studied and compared in monoculture and competitive mixed-culture plantings. Results showed that for both studied species the phosphorus concentrations of different tissues and of whole plants was unaffected by competition. However, the quantity of phosphorus accumulated by whole plants of H. verticillata was significantly higher in mixture culture than in monoculture, while that of V. natans was lower in the mixed culture. 19Influence of transboundary air pollution on air quality in southwestern China显示文摘Air pollution is a grand challenge of our time due to its multitude of adverse impacts on environment and society,with the scale of impacts more severe in developing countries,including China.Thus,China has initiated and implemented strict air pollution control measures over last several years to reduce impacts of air pollution.Monitoring data from Jan 2015 to Dec 2019 on six criteria air pollutants(SO_(2),NO_(2),CO,O_(3),PM_(2.5),and PM_(10))at eight sites in southwestern China were investigated to understand the situation and analyze the impacts of transboundary air pollutants in this region.In terms of seasonal variation,the maximum concentrations of air pollutants at these sites were observed in winter or spring season depending on individual site.For diurnal variation,surface ozone peaked in the afternoon while the other pollutants had a bimodal pattern with peaks in the morning and late afternoon.There was limited transport of domestic emissions of air pollutants in China to these sites.Local emissions enhanced the concentrations of air pollutants during some pollution events.Mostly,the transboundary transport of air pollution from South Asia and Southeast Asia was associated with high concentrations of most air pollutants observed in southwestern China.Since air pollutants can be transported to southwestern China over long distances from the source regions,it is necessary to conduct more research to properly attribute and quantify transboundary transport of air pollutants,which will provide more solid scientific guidance for air pollution management in southwestern China.Xiufeng Yin Shichang Kang Maheswar Rupakheti Benjamin de Foy Ping Li Junhua Yang Kunpeng Wu Qianggong Zhang Dipesh Rupakheti 2021Geoscience Frontiers2021,12,6:4
20A parameterization scheme for upward lightning in the cloud model and a discussion of the initial favorable environmental characteristics in the cloud显示文摘The upward lightning(UL) initiated from the top of tall buildings(at least above 100 m) is a type of atmospheric discharge. Currently, we understand the nature of the UL from ground observations, but the corresponding theoretical research is lacking. Based on an existing bidirectional leader stochastic model, a stochastic parameterization scheme for the UL has been built and embedded in an existing two-dimensional thundercloud charge/discharge model. The ULs simulated from the experiments with two-dimensional high resolution agree generally with the observation results. By analyzing the charge structure of thunderstorm clouds, we determined the in-cloud environmental characteristics that favor the initiation of conventional cloud-to-ground(CG) flashes and analyzed the differences and similarities of some characteristics of the positive and the negative UL. Simulation results indicate that the positive ULs are typically other-lightning-triggered ULs(OLTUL) and are usually a discharge phenomenon between the ground and the lower positive charge region appearing below the main middle negative charge region. The effect of the previous in-cloud lightning(IC) process of space electrical field provides favorable conditions for the initiation of a positive UL. Its entire discharge process is limited, and the branches of the leader are fewer in number as its discharge is not sufficient. A negative UL is generally a discharge phenomenon of the dipole charge structure between the ground and the main negative charge region. The lower temperature stratification and the sinking of the hydrometeors typically initiate a negative UL. Negative ULs develop strongly and have more branches.
