1An Adaptive Obstacle Avoidance Algorithm for Unmanned Surface Vehicle in Complicated Marine Environments显示文摘Unmanned surface vehicles(USVs) are important autonomous marine robots that have been studied and gradually applied into practice. However, the autonomous navigation of USVs, especially the issue of obstacle avoidance in complicated marine environment, is still a fundamental problem. After studying the characteristics of the complicated marine environment, we propose a novel adaptive obstacle avoidance algorithm for USVs,based on the Sarsa on-policy reinforcement learning algorithm.The proposed algorithm is composed of local avoidance module and adaptive learning module, which are organized by the “divide and conquer” strategy-based architecture. The course angle compensation strategy is proposed to offset the disturbances from sea wind and currents. In the design of payoff value function of the learning strategy, the course deviation angle and its tendency are introduced into action rewards and penalty policies. The validity of the proposed algorithm is verified by comparative experiments of simulations and sea trials in three sea-state marine environments. 2Abundance of antibiotic resistance genes and their association with bacterial communities in activated sludge of wastewater treatment plants: Geographical distribution and network analysis显示文摘Wastewater treatment plants(WWTPs) are deemed reservoirs of antibiotic resistance genes(ARGs). Bacterial phylogeny can shape the resistome in activated sludge. However, the co-occurrence and interaction of ARGs abundance and bacterial communities in different WWTPs located at continental scales are still not comprehensively understood. Here, we applied quantitative PCR and Miseq sequence approaches to unveil the changing profiles of ARGs(sul1, sul2, tet W, tet Q, tet X), int I1 gene, and bacterial communities in 18 geographically distributed WWTPs. The results showed that the average relative abundance of sul1 and sul2 genes were 2.08 × 10^(-1) and 1.32 × 10^(-1) copies/16 S rRNA copies, respectively. The abundance of tet W gene was positively correlated with the Shannon diversity index(H′), while both studied sul genes had significant positive relationship with the int I1 gene. The highest average relative abundances of sul1, sul2, tet X, and int I1 genes were found in south region and oxidation ditch system. Network analysis found that 16 bacterial genera co-occurred with tet W gene. Co-occurrence patterns were revealed distinct community interactions between aerobic/anoxic/aerobic and oxidation ditch systems. The redundancy analysis model plot of the bacterial community composition clearly demonstrated that the sludge samples were significant differences among those from the different geographical areas,and the shifts in bacterial community composition were correlated with ARGs. 3Cloning and expression of the first gene for biodegrading microcystin LR by Sphingopyxis sp.USTB-05显示文摘Harmful cyanobacterial blooms are a growing environmental problem worldwide in natural waters,the biodegradation is found to be the most efficient method for removing microcystins(MCs) produced by harmful cyanobacteria.Based on the isolation of a promising bacterial strain of Sphingopyxis sp.USTB-05 for biodegrading MCs,we for the first time cloned and expressed a gene USTB-05-A(HM245411) that is responsible for the first step in the biodegradation of microcystin LR(MC-LR) in E.coli DH5α,with a cloning vector of pGEM-T easy and an expression vector of pGEX-4T-1,respectively.The cell-free extracts(CE) of recombinant E.coli DH5α containing USTB-05-A had high activity for biodegrading MC-LR.The initial MC-LR concentration of 40 mg/L was completely biodegraded within 1 hr in the presence of CE with a protein concentration of 0.35 mg/mL.Based on an analysis of the liquid chromatogram-mass spectrum(LC-MS),the enzyme encoded by gene USTB-05-A was found to be active in cleaving the target peptide bond between 3-amino-9-methoxy-2,6,8-trimethyl-10-phenyl-deca-4,6-dienoic acid(Adda) and arginine of MC-LR,and converting cyclic MC-LR to linear MC-LR as a first product that is much less toxic than parent MC-LR,which offered direct evidence for the first step on the pathway of MC-LR biodegradation by Sphingopyxis sp.USTB-05.Hai Yan Huasheng Wang Junfeng Wang Chunhua Yin Song Max Xiaolu Liu Xueyao Yin 2012Journal of Environmental Sciences2012,24,10:6
4Visual Flame Monitoring System Based on Two-Color Method显示文摘Monitoring and control of combustion flames in utility boilers are required in order to optimize combustion conditions.This paper presents an instrumentation system for the concurrent measurement of the temperature distributionand soot concentration of flames developed on the two-color principle. This system consists of an endoscope,an optical assembly with optical filters, a CCD camera, a frame grabber and associated image processingsoftware. Experiments are performed on a methane-air combustor and the temperature fields and the soot concentrationscorresponding to the flame images are obtained. The results have demonstrated that the system is capableof performing on-line measurement of flame and temperature distribution, providing temporal and spatial characterizationof the combustion process. In addition, the combination of advanced optical sensing and digital imageprocessing technique can help to define the threshold by the analysis of the background noise. 5Numerical simulation and experimental validation of gas–solid flow in the riser of a dense fluidized bed reactor显示文摘Gas–solid flow in the riser of a dense fluidized bed using Geldart B particles(sand),at high gas velocity (7.6–15.5 m/s)and with comparatively high solid flux(140–333.8 kg/m2 s),was investigated experimentally and simulated by computational fluid dynamics(CFD),both two-and three-dimensional and using the Gidaspow,O’Brien-Syamlal,Koch-Hill-Ladd and EMMS drag models.The results predicted by EMMS drag model showed the best agreement with experimental results.Calculated axial solids hold-up pro- files,in particular,are well consistent with experimental data.The flow structure in the riser was well represented by the CFD results,which also indicated the cause of cluster formation.Complex hydrody- namical behaviors of particle cluster were observed.The relative motion between gas and solid phases and axial heterogeneity in the three subzones of the riser were also investigated,and were found to be consistent with predicted flow structure.The model could well depict the difference between the two exit configurations used,viz.,semi-bend smooth exit and T-shaped abrupt exit.The numerical results indicate that the proposed EMMS method gives better agreement with the experimental results as compared with the Gidaspow,O’Brien-Syamlal,Koch-Hill-Ladd models.As a result,the proposed drag force model can be used as an efficient approach for the dense gas–solid two-phase flow.Xueyao Wang Fan Jiang xiang xu Shengdian Wang Xuezhi Wu Baoguo Fan Liangliang Liao Jiachang Wang Yunhan Xiao 2009Particuology2009,7,4:3
6Improved HHO algorithm based on good point set and nonlinear convergence formula显示文摘Harris hawks optimization(HHO)algorithm is an efficient method of solving function optimization problems.However,it is still confronted with some limitations in terms of low precision,low convergence speed and stagnation to local optimum.To this end,an improved HHO(IHHO)algorithm based on good point set and nonlinear convergence formula is proposed.First,a good point set is used to initialize the positions of the population uniformly and randomly in the whole search area.Second,a nonlinear exponential convergence formula is designed to balance exploration stage and exploitation stage of IHHO algorithm,aiming to find all the areas containing the solutions more comprehensively and accurately.The proposed IHHO algorithm tests 17 functions and uses Wilcoxon test to verify the effectiveness.The results indicate that IHHO algorithm not only has faster convergence speed than other comparative algorithms,but also improves the accuracy of solution effectively and enhances its robustness under low dimensional and high dimensional conditions.Guo Hairu Meng Xueyao Liu Yongli Liu Shen 2021The Journal of China Universities of Posts and Telecommunications2021,28,2:3
73D full-loop simulation and experimental verification of gas-solid flow hydrodynamics in a dense circulating fluidized bed显示文摘Because of their advantages of high efficiency and low cost,numerical research methods for large-scale circulating fluidized bed(CFB) apparatus are gaining ever more importance.This article presents a numerical study of gas-solid flow dynamics using the Eulerian granular multiphase model with a drag coefficient correction based on the energy-minimization multi-scale(EMMS) model.A three-dimensional,full-loop,time-dependent simulation of the hydrodynamics of a dense CFB apparatus is performed.The process parameters(e.g.,operating and initial conditions) are provided in accordance with the real experiment to enhance the accuracy of the simulation.The axial profiles of the averaged solid volume fractions and the solids flux at the outlet of the cyclone are in reasonable agreement with experimental data,thereby verifying the applicability of the mathematical and physical models.As a result,the streamline in the riser and standpipe as well as the solids distribution contours at the cross sections is analyzed.Computational fluid dynamics(CFD) serves as a basis for CFB modeling to help resolve certain issues long in dispute but difficult to address experimentally.The results of this study provide the basis of a general approach to describing dynamic simulations of gas-solid flows.Xueyao Wang Xuezhi Wu Fulin Lei Jing Lei Yunhan Xiao 2014Particuology2014,12,5:2
8Research of the Gas-solid Flow Character Based on the DEM Method显示文摘Numerical simulation of gas-solid flow behaviors in a rectangular fluidized bed is carried out three dimensionally by the discrete element method (DEM).Euler method and Lagrange method are employed to deal with the gas phase and solid phase respectively.The collided force among particles,striking force between particle and wall,drag force,gravity,Magnus lift force and Saffman lift force are considered when establishing the mathematic models.Soft-sphere model is used to describe the collision of particles.In addition,the Euler method is also used for modeling the solid phase to compare with the results of DEM.The flow patterns,particle mean velocities,particles' diffusion and pressure drop of the bed under typical operating conditions are obtained.The results show that the DEM method can describe the detailed information among particles,while the Euler-Euler method cannot capture the micro-scale character.No matter which method is used,the diffusion of particles increases with the increase of gas velocity.But the gathering and crushing of particles cannot be simulated,so the energy loss of particles' collision cannot be calculated and the diffusion by using the Euler-Euler method is larger.In addition,it is shown by DEM method,with strengthening of the carrying capacity,more and more particles can be schlepped upward and the dense suspension upflow pattern can be formed.However,the results given by the Euler-Euler method are not consistent with the real situation.Xueyao Wang and Yunhan Xiao Research Center for Clean Energy and Power,Chinese Academy of Sciences Key Laboratory of Advanced Energy and Power,Chinese Academy of Sciences (Institute of Engineering Thermophysics),Beijing,100190,China 2011Journal of Thermal Science2011,20,6:2
9Measurement of Ice Movement in Water Using Electrical Capacitance Tomography显示文摘The permafrost with the highest altitude and largest area in the mid and low latitude is located in the Qing-hai-Tibet Plateau. As most frozen soils contain ice particles which are very sensitive to temperature and other externalparameters, thus influencing the stability of the embankment in permafrost regions, it is very important todevelop techniques to prevent damages to railway embankments due to thaw settlement. In this paper, the electricalcapacitance sensors are designed to study the freezing front movement in a vessel and ice movement in water,which is the first step to apply the ECT system to the study of frozen soil. Two sensor arrangements are put intouse. First, the traditional closed electrode sensors are put into use. In this arrangement, the electrodes are attachedto the outside of the pipe or vessel, and the cross-sectional distribution of ice and water could be reconstructedfrom the capacitances measured. Also, the ice moving track at the cross section could be reflected thoroughly.Since the traditional closed electrode sensors can not meet the needs of measuring the ice freezing front movement,a new electrode sensors structure, that is, the unclosed electrode sensors are designed to satisfy the specifictest of frozen soil. In this arrangement, several pairs of electrodes are arranged along the height of the vessel. Asudden decrease in the measured capacitance is observed when the freezing front advances past the electrodes.Therefore, according to the capacitance variation, the ice movement can be reflected. In summary, electrical capacitancetomography has the advantages of being non-intrusive. With different electrode sensor arrangement, icemovement and ice freezing front can be obtained. 10Modeling size-dependent thermo-mechanical behaviors of shape memory polymer Bernoulli-Euler microbeam显示文摘The objective of this paper is to model the size-dependent thermo-mechanical behaviors of a shape memory polymer (SMP) microbeam.Size-dependent constitutive equations,which can capture the size effect of the SMP,are proposed based on the modified couple stress theory (MCST).The deformation energy expression of the SMP microbeam is obtained by employing the proposed size-dependent constitutive equation and Bernoulli-Euler beam theory.An SMP microbeam model,which includes the formulations of deflection,strain,curvature,stress and couple stress,is developed by using the principle of minimum potential energy and the separation of variables together.The sizedependent thermo-mechanical and shape memory behaviors of the SMP microbeam and the influence of the Poisson ratio are numerically investigated according to the developed SMP microbeam model.Results show that the size effects of the SMP microbeam are significant when the dimensionless height is small enough.However,they are too slight to be necessarily considered when the dimensionless height is large enough.The bending flexibility and stress level of the SMP microbeam rise with the increasing dimensionless height,while the couple stress level declines with the increasing dimensionless height.The larger the dimensionless height is,the more obvious the viscous property and shape memory effect of the SMP microbeam are.The Poisson ratio has obvious influence on the size-dependent behaviors of the SMP microbeam.The paper provides a theoretical basis and a quantitatively analyzing tool for the design and analysis of SMP micro-structures in the field of biological medicine,microelectronic devices and micro-electro-mechanical system (MEMS) self-assembling.Bo ZHOU Xueyao ZHENG Zetian KANG Shifeng XUE 2019Applied Mathematics and Mechanics(English Edition)2019,40,11:2

13Transcriptome analysis reveals dynamic changes in the salt stress response in Salix显示文摘Soil salinization is a serious ecological problem worldwide and information regarding the salt tolerance mechanisms of Salix is scarce.To elucidate the dynamic changes in the molecular mechanisms of Salix under salt stress,we generated gene expression profiles and examined changes in the expression of those genes.RNA-Seq was used to produce six cDNA libraries constructed from the leaves of Salix ×jiangsuensis CL‘J2345’treated with NaCl for 0,2,6,12,24 and 48 h.In total,249 million clean reads were assembled into 12,739 unigenes,all of which were clustered into 10 profiles based on their temporal expression patterns.KEGG analysis revealed that as an early defense response,the biosynthesis pathways of cutin,suberin and wax,which are involved in cell wall structure,were activated beginning at 2 h.The expression of secondary metabolism genes,including those involved in the phenylpropanoid,flavonoid,stilbenoid,diarylheptanoid and gingerol pathways,peaked at 6 h and 24 h;the upregulated genes were mainly involved in plant hormone pathways and beta-alanine,galactose and betalain metabolism.We identified roles of key phytohormones and found ETH to be the major signaling molecule activating TFs at 12 h;ETH,ABA,IAA and SA were the key molecules at 24 h.Moreover,we found that the upregulated genes were associated with elevated levels of amino acids,sucrose,inositol,stress proteins and ROS-scavenging enzymes,contributing to the maintenance of water balance.This research constitutes the first detailed analysis of salt stress-related mechanisms in Salix and identifies potential targets for genetic manipulation to improve yields.Jie Zhou Jing Huang Xueyao Tian Jiwei Zheng Xudong He 2020Journal of Forestry Research2020,31,5:1

15Deep-elliptical-silver-nanowell arrays (d-EAgNWAs) fabricated by stretchable imprinting combining colloidal lithography: A highly sensitive plasmonic sensing platform显示文摘Elliptical metallic nanohole arrays possess much higher transmission and enhanced sensitivity compared with circular nanohole arrays.However,fabricating elliptical metallic nanohole arrays in large area with highly tunable aspect ratio remains a challenge.Herein,a brand-new method combining stretchable imprinting with colloidal lithography is figured out to fabricate deep-elliptical-silver-nanowell arrays (d-EAgNWAs).In this method,large area highly ordered silicon nanopillar arrays fabricated by colloidal lithography were taken as a master to transfer large area polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) nanohole arrays.Benefit from the high elasticity of PDMS mold,the aspect ratio of d-EAgNWAs achieved can be facilely regulated from 1.7 to 5.0.Through optimization of polarization direction and the structural parameters including nanowell depth,aspect ratio,and hole size,the sensing performance of d-EAgNWAs was finally improved up to 1,414.1 nm/RlU.The best sensing behaved d-EAgNWAs were employed as an immunoassay platform finally to prove their great potential in label-free biosensing.Xueyao Liu Wendong Liu Bai Yang 2019Nano Research2019,12,4:1

17Anisotropic and nonlinear metasurface for multiple functions显示文摘We present a novel anisotropic and nonlinear metasurface integrated with multiple functions of diffuse scattering, beam splitting, and normal reflection, which can be switched in real time by tuning the polarization state or power level of the incident microwave. The key lies in the two judiciously designed anisotropic nonlinear particles in subwavelength scales that possess opposite reflection phases under one polarization and the same nonlinear power-dependent reflection phases under the orthogonal polarization. These properties are demonstrated comprehensively via comparisons between their reflection responses, receiving abilities, and nonlinear circuitry behaviors. In addition, both the spatial arrangement and the electrically enabling strategy of the particles are underpinned to pursue the proposed functions, which are verified through numerical simulations and measurements. When the metasurface is illuminated by plane waves coming from the direction perpendicular to it, a significant beam splitting effect is achieved with strong x-polarized incidence,which is switched to a specular reflection when the incoming power decreases. Under y-polarization,a diffuse scattering phenomenon is obtained, which is not dependent on the incident intensity.
