1Effect of Trichoderma viride biofertilizer on ammonia volatilization from an alkaline soil in Northern China显示文摘Ammonia(NH3) volatilization is one of the primary pathways of nitrogen(N) loss from soils after chemical fertilizer is applied, especially from the alkaline soils in Northern China, which results in lower efficiency for chemical fertilizers. Therefore, we conducted an incubation experiment using an alkaline soil from Tianjin(p H 8.37–8.43) to evaluate the suppression effect of Trichoderma viride(T. viride) biofertilizer on NH3 volatilization, and compared the differences in microbial community structure among all samples. The results showed that viable T. viride biofertilizer(T) decreased NH_3 volatilization by 42.21% compared with conventional fertilizer((CK), urea), while nonviable T. viride biofertilizer(TS) decreased NH_3 volatilization by 32.42%. NH_3 volatilization was significantly higher in CK and sweet potato starch wastewater(SPSW) treatments during the peak period. T. viride biofertilizer also improved the transfer of ammonium from soil to sweet sorghum. Plant dry weights increased 91.23% and 61.08% for T and TS, respectively, compared to CK. Moreover, T. viride biofertilizer enhanced nitrification by increasing the abundance of ammonium-oxidizing archaea(AOA) and ammonium-oxidizing bacteria(AOB). The results of high-throughput sequencing indicated that the microbial community structure and composition were significantly changed by the application of T. viride biofertilizer. 2The intrinsic mechanism of corrosion resistance for FCC high entropy alloys显示文摘The concept of high entropy alloys(HEAs) or multi-principal component alloys has inspired a great progress of physical metallurgy along with several unusual phenomena. The high corrosion resistance of HEAs was frequently mentioned but without convincing explanations. In this paper, the intrinsic mechanism of corrosion resistance in FCC HEAs was revealed by designing equal atomic alloys with single solid solution phase. 3Matrix stiffness modulates tip cell formation through the p-PXN-Rac1-YAP signaling axis显示文摘Endothelial tip cell outgrowth of blood-vessel sprouts marks the initiation of angiogenesis which is critical in physiological and pathophysiological procedures.However,how mechanical characteristics of extracellular matrix(ECM)modulates tip cell formation has been largely neglected.In this study,we found enhanced CD31 expression in the stiffening outer layer of hepatocellular carcinoma than in surrounding soft tissues.Stiffened matrix promoted sprouting from endothelial cell(EC)spheroids and upregulated expressions of tip cell-enriched genes in vitro.Moreover,tip cells showed increased cellular stiffness,more actin cytoskeleton organization and enhanced YAP nuclear transfer than stalk and phalanx ECs.We further uncovered that substrate stiffness regulates FAK and Paxillin phosphorylation in focal adhesion of ECs promoting Rac1 transition from inactive to active state.YAP is subsequently activated and translocated into nucleus,leading to increased tip cell specification.p-Paxillin can also loosen the intercellular connection which also facilitates tip cell specification.Collectively our present study shows that matrix stiffness modulates tip cell formation through p-PXN-Rac1-YAP signaling axis,shedding light on the role of mechanotransduction in tip cell formation.This is of special significance in biomaterial design and treatment of some pathological situations.Yaru Guo Feng Mei Ying Huang Siqin Ma Yan Wei Xuehui Zhang Mingming Xu Ying He Boon Chin Heng Lili Chen Xuliang Deng 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,1:4
4Distribution of Helium Resources in Weihe Basin,Central China:Insight from 3D Magnetic Inversion显示文摘There is promising indication of helium-rich natural gas in Weihe Basin.However,the lack of a detailed investigation on the origin and the spatial distribution of helium source rocks(mainly Yanshanian granites)limits the helium potentiality evaluation in Weihe Basin(WB).We performed three-dimensional(3 D)inversions of magnetic data in Weihe Basin and its adjacent areas to figure out the crustal thermal structure and the temporal-spatial distribution of deep granite in the basin.Based on this,we have proposed a geological model of helium accumulation and predicted the potential area of helium distribution.The results of 3 D magnetic inversion indicate that the granites in the deep Weihe Basin are mostly located at the central and southern parts of the basin,which are connected spatially with the granites in the North Qinling Orogenic Belt.These granites were all derived from largescale intra-continental orogeny in the Qinling area during the mid-Mesozoic,providing a good material basis for crust-derived helium in the basin.The local uplift of the Curie surface makes the thermal fluid more actively,which contributes to helium accumulation.The faults developed in the WB are the migration pathway of crust-derived helium and the upward migration of the mantle-derived helium.The wells with high percentage helium are mostly located near the Weihe fault and the areas on the south of it.The Wugong-Xi’an-Lantian area in the central and the Lintong-Weinan-Tongguan area in the eastern Weihe Basin are the most promising helium distribution areas.Furthermore,the region from the north of Taibai Mountain to Baoji City in the western Weihe Basin may also be another potential area of Helium resource.Xuliang Feng Bingqiang Yuan Yuhong Li Chunguan Zhang Lijun Song 2022Journal of Earth Science2022,33,4:3
5Effects of nano-pore system characteristics on CH4 adsorption capacity in anthracite显示文摘This study aims to determine the effects of nanoscale pores system characteristics on CH4 adsorption capacity in anthracite.A total of 24 coal samples from the southern Sichuan Basin,China,were examined systemically using coal maceral analysis,vitrinite reflectance tests, proximate analysis,ultimate analysis,low-temperature N2 adsorption-desorption experiments,nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR)analysis,and CH4 isotherm adsorption experiments.Results show that nano-pores are divided into four types on the basis of pore size ranges:super micropores (<4 nm),micropores (4-10 nm),mesopores (10-100 nm),and macropores (>100 nm).Super micropores,micropores,and mesopores make up the bulk of coal porosity,providing extremely large adsorption space with large intemal surface area.This leads us to the conclusion that the threshold of pore diameter between adsorption pores and seepage pores is 100 nm.The 'ink bottle'pores have the largest CH4 adsorption capacity, followed by semi-opened pores,whereas opened pores have the smallest CH4 adsorption capacity which indicates that anthracite pores with more irregular shapes possess higher CH4 adsorption capacity.CH4 adsorption capacity increased with the increase in NMR porosity and the bound water saturation.Moreover,CH4 adsorption capacity is positively correlated with NMR permeability when NMR permeability is less than 8 ×10^-3 md.By contrast,the two factors are negatively correlated when NMR permeability is greater than 8 × 10^-3 md.Chang'an SHAN Tingshan ZHANG Xing LIANG Dongchu SHU Zhao ZHANG Xiangfeng WEI Kun ZHANG Xuliang FENG Haihua ZHU Shengtao WANG Yue CHEN 2019Frontiers of Earth Science2019,13,1:2

12An Efficient Process for Recycling Nd-Fe-B Sludge as High-Performance Sintered Magnets显示文摘Given the increasing concern regarding the global decline in rare earth reserves and the environmental burden from current wet-process recycling techniques,it is urgent to develop an efficient recycling technique for leftover sludge from the manufacturing process of neodymium-iron-boron(Nd-Fe-B)sintered magnets.In the present study,centerless grinding sludge from the Nd-Fe-B sintered magnet machining process was selected as the starting material.The sludge was subjected to a reduction-diffusion(RD)process in order to synthesize recycled neodymium magnet(Nd2Fe14B)powder;during this process,most of the valuable elements,including neodymium(Nd),praseodymium(Pr),gadolinium(Gd),dysprosium(Dy),holmium(Ho),and cobalt(Co),were recovered simultaneously.Calcium chloride(CaCl2)powder with a lower melting point was introduced into the RD process to reduce recycling cost and improve recycling efficiency.The mechanism of the reactions was investigated systematically by adjusting the reaction temperature and calcium/sludge weight ratio.It was found that single-phase Nd2Fe14B particles with good crystallinity were obtained when the calcium weight ratio(calcium/sludge)and reaction temperature were 40 wt% and 1050℃,respectively.The recovered Nd2Fe14B particles were blended with 37.7 wt% Nd4Fe14B powder to fabricate Nd-Fe-B sintered magnets with a remanence of 12.1 kG(1 G=1×10^-4T),and a coercivity of 14.6 kOe(1 Oe=79.6A·m^-1),resulting in an energy product of 34.5 MGOe.This recycling route promises a great advantage in recycling efficiency as well as in cost.Xiaowen Yin Ming Yue Qingmei Lu Min Liu Feng Wang Yubing Qiu Weiqiang Liu Tieyong Zuo Shanshun Zha Xuliang Li Xiaofei Yi 2020Engineering2020,6,2:0
13Experimental Study on the Expansion Behavior of Full Aggregate Steel Slag Concrete显示文摘To improve the utilization rate of steel slag,this paper investigates the expansion behavior of Full Aggregate Steel Slag Concrete(FASSC).Orthogonal experiment was performed to analyze the effects of sand ratio,water-cement ratio,steel slag sand content,replacement particle size of steel slag sand,coarse steel slag content,and replacement particle size of coarse steel slag on the expansion rate of FASSC.Test results demonstrated that the expansion rate of FASSC decreased with a gradual increase in the replacement particle size of steel slag sand or the coarse steel slag content.With a gradual increase in the water-cement ratio or the steel slag sand content,the expansion rate of FASSC first increased and then decreased.As the sand ratio increased,the expansion rate of FASSC first decreased and then increased.Among these,the steel slag sand content and the replacement particle size of steel slag sand significantly affected the expansion rate of FASSC.The mix proportions of SSC for self-stressing CFST and shrinkage compensating SSC were suggested according to the experimental research.Additionally,a formula for approximately predicting the expansion rate of FASSC was proposed based on the single factor weighted fitting.Feng Yu Xuliang Wang Yang Zhang Yuan Fang 2021Journal of Harbin Institute of Technology(New Series)2021,28,1:0
14Mutation inε-Sarcoglycan Induces a Myoclonus-Dystonia Syndrome-Like Movement Disorder in Mice显示文摘Myoclonus dystonia syndrome(MDS)is an inherited movement disorder,and most MDS-related mutations have so far been found in theε-sarcoglycan(SGCE)coding gene.By generating SGCE-knockout(KO)and human 237 C>T mutation knock-in(KI)mice,we showed here that both KO and KI mice exerted typical movement defects similar to those of MDS patients.SGCE promoted filopodia development in vitro and inhibited excitatory synapse formation both in vivo and in vitro.Loss of function of SGCE leading to excessive excitatory synapses that may ultimately contribute to MDS pathology.Indeed,using a zebrafish MDS model,we found that among 1700 screened chemical compounds,Vigabatrin was the most potent in readily reversing MDS symptoms of mouse disease models.Our study strengthens the notion that mutations of SGCE lead to MDS and most likely,SGCE functions to brake synaptogenesis in the CNS.Jiao Li Yiqiong Liu Qin Li Xiaolin Huang Dingxi Zhou Hanjian Xu Feng Zhao Xiaoxiao Mi Ruoxu Wang Fan Jia Fuqiang Xu Jing Yang Dong Liu Xuliang Deng Yan Zhang 2021Neuroscience Bulletin2021,37,3:0
