| 1 | Clinicopathological features and prognosis assessment of extranodal follicular dendritic cell sarcoma显示文摘AIM: To establish a model for prognosis assessment of extranodal follicular dendritic cell (FDC) sarcoma.METHODS: Nine lesions were examined by routine and molecular approaches.Clinicopathological factors from the new cases and 97 reported cases were analyzed for their prognostic values.RESULTS: The current lesions were found in f ive male and four female patients,located mainly in the head and neck area and averaging 7.2 cm in size.Six patients had recurrence or metastasis and three remained free of disease.The 106 patients (male/female ratio,1.1:1) were aged from 9 to 82 years (median,44 years).The tumor sizes ranged from 1.5 to 21 cm (mean,7.4 cm).Abdominal/pelvic region was affected most frequently (43%).Surgical resection was performed in 100 patients,followed by radiation and/or chemotherapy in 35 of them.Follow-up data were available in 91 cases,covering a period of 3-324 mo (mean,27 mo;median,19 mo).Of the informative cases,38 (42%) had recurrence or metastasis,and 12 (13%) died of the disease.These tumors were classif ied histologically into lowand high-grade lesions.A size ≥ 5 cm (P = 0.003),highgrade histology (P = 0.046) and a mitotic count ≥ 5/10 HPF (P = 0.013) were associated with tumor recurrence.The lesions were def ined as low-,intermediateand high-risk tumors,and their recurrence rates were 16%,46% and 73%,and their mortality rates 0%,4% and 45%,respectively.CONCLUSION: Extranodal FDC tumors behave like soft tissue sarcomas.Their clinical outcomes are variable and can be evaluated according to their sizes and grades. | Li, Lan Shi, Yong-Hong Guo, Zhi-Juan Qiu, Tian Guo, Lei Yang, Hong-Ying Zhang, Xun Zhao, Xin-Ming Su, Qin | 2010 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2010,16,20: | 18 |
| 2 | Compatibility of rubber stoppers for recombinant antitumor-antivirus protein injection by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry显示文摘A simple, rapid, and sensitive gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) method was developed and validated for the simultaneous determination of two fatty acids, methyl hexadecanoate (MH) and methyl stearate (MS), to allow the evaluation of packaging-drug compatibility. The two migrants were quantified in selective ion-monitoring (SIM) mode, with limits of detection (LOD) of 0.0030 μg/mL and 0.0121 μg/mL. Linear calibration curves for MH and MS were obtained in the concentration ranges of 0.1011–5.0570 μg/mL and 0.2015–10.0740 μg/mL, respectively. The developed method was successfully applied to estimate the safety of the injection of recombinant antitumor-antivirus protein (RAAP). The results showed that the possible maximum daily intake was 3.0 ng and 12.1 ng for MH and MS, respectively. | 7 | Comparison of the clinical features and therapeutics of COVID-19 in cardio-cerebrovascular disease(CCVD)and non-CCVD patients显示文摘Cardio-cerebrovascular disease(CCVD)is a major comorbidity of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).However,the clinical characteristics and outcomes remain unclear.In this study,102 cases of COVID-19 from January 22,2020 to March 26,2020 in Xixi Hospital of Hangzhou were included.Twenty cases had pre-existing CCVD.Results showed that compared with non-CCVD patients,those with CCVD are more likely to develop severe disease(15%versus 1%),and the proportion of pneumonia severity index grade IV was significantly higher(25%versus 3.6%).Computed tomography images demonstrated that the proportion of multiple lobe lesion involvement was significantly higher in the CCVD group than in the non-CCVD group(90%versus 63.4%).Compared with non-CCVD group,the levels of C-reactive protein,fibrinogen,D-dimer,and serum amyloid-A were higher,whereas the total protein and arterial partial Pa02 were lower in the CCVD group.Although no statistical difference was observed in the outcomes between groups,CCVD patients received more intensive comprehensive treatment to improve COVID-19 symptoms compared with non-CCVD patients.Integrated Chinese and Western medicine treatments have certain advantages in controlling the severe conversion rate and mortality of COVID-19.In addition,given that COVID-19 patients are usually related to coagulation disorders and thrombosis risk,the application of Chinese medicine in promoting blood circulation and removing stasis should be strengthened. | Yu Wang Lan Li Yuanjiang Pan Yu He Zuhua Chen Yunhao Xun Yuhan Xu Yilei Guo Jiehong Yang Jianchun Guo Haitong Wan | 2021 | Frontiers of Medicine2021,15,4: | 1 |

| 12 | Application of artificial intelligence in clinical diagnosis and treatment:an overview of systematic reviews显示文摘Objective This study aimed to summarize the characteristics and methodological quality of systematic reviews on the application of artificial intelligence(AI)in clinical diagnosis and treatment.Methods We systematically searched seven English-and Chinese-language literature databases to identify sys-tematic reviews on the application of AI,deep learning,or machine learning in the diagnosis and treatment of any disease published in 2020.We evaluated the methodological quality of the included systematic reviews using“A Measurement tool for the assessment of multiple systematic reviews”(AMSTAR).We also conducted meta-analyses on the diagnostic accuracy of AI on selected disease categories with a large number of included studies and low clinical heterogeneity.Results A total of 40 systematic reviews reporting 1,083 original studies were included,covering 31 diseases from 11 groups of diseases.Eleven systematic reviews were related to neoplasms and nine were systematic reviews related to diseases of the digestive system.We selected digestive system diseases for the meta-analysis.The pooled sensitivities(with 95%confidence interval(CI))of AI to assist the diagnosis of helicobacter pylori,gastrointestinal ulcers,hemorrhage,esophageal tumors,gastric tumors,and intestinal tumors(with 95%CI)were 0.91(0.83-0.95),0.99(0.76-1.00),0.95(0.83-0.99),0.90(0.85-0.93),0.90(0.82-0.95),and 0.93(0.88-0.96),respectively,and the pooled specificities were 0.82(0.77-0.87),0.97(0.86-1.00),1.00(0.99-1.00),0.80(0.71-0.87),0.93(0.87-0.97),and 0.89(0.85-0.92),respectively.The AMSTAR items“the list of included studies”(n=39,97.5%)and“the characteristics of the included studies”(n=39,97.5%)had the highest compliance among the reviews;the compliance was relatively low to the items“the consideration of publication status”(n=1,2.5%),“the consideration of scientific quality”(n=19,47.5%),“data synthesis methods”(n=18,45.0%),and“the evaluation of publication bias”(n=13,32.5%).Conclusions The main subjects of systematic reviews on AI applications in clinical diagnosis and treatment pub-lished in 2020 were diseases of the digestive system and neoplasms.The methodological quality of the systematic reviews on AI needs to be improved,paying particular attention to publication bias and the rigorous evaluation of the quality of the included studies. | Shouyuan Wu Jianjian Wang Qiangqiang Guo Hui Lan Juanjuan Zhang Ling Wang Estill Janne Xufei Luo Qi Wang Yang Song Joseph LMathew Yangqin Xun Nan Yang Myeong Soo Lee Yaolong Chen | 2022 | Intelligent Medicine2022,2,2: | 1 |
| 13 | Delineating the rice crop activities in Northeast China through regional parametric synthesis using satellite remote sensing time-series data from 2000 to 2015显示文摘Accurate rice area extraction and yield simulations are important for understanding how national agricultural policies and environmental issues affect regional spatial changes in rice farming. In this study, an improved regional parametric syntheses approach, that is, the rice zoning adaptability criteria and dynamic harvest index(RZAC-DHI), was established, which can effectively simulate the rice cultivation area and yield at the municipal level. The RZAC was used to extract the rice area using Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer time-series data and phenological information. The DHI was calculated independently, and then yield was obtained based on the DHI and net primary productivity(NPP). Based on the above results, we analyzed the spatial–temporal patterns of the rice cultivation area and yield in Northeast China(NEC) during 2000–2015. The results revealed that the methods established in this study can effectively support the yearly mapping of the rice area and yield in NEC, the average precisions of which exceed 90 and 80%, respectively. The rice planting areas are mainly located on the Sanjiang, Songnen and Liaohe plains, China, which are distributed along the Songhua and Liaohe rivers. The rice cultivation area and yield in this region increased significantly from 2000 to 2015, with increases of nearly 58 and 90%, respectively. The rice crop area and yield increased the fastest in Heilongjiang Province, China, whereas small changes occurred in Jilin and Liaoning provinces, China. Their gravity centers exhibited evident northward and eastward shifts, with offset distances of 107 and 358 km, respectively. Moreover, Heilongjiang Province has gradually become the new main rice production region. However, currently, a comprehensive high-resolution analysis of primate genomes that includes the latest annotated ncRNAs is not available. Here, we developed a computational pipeline to estimate the selections that act on noncoding regions based on comparisons with a large number of reference sequences in introns adjacent to the interested regions. Our method yields result comparable with those of the established codon-based method and phyloP method for coding genes;thus, it provides a holistic framework for estimating the selection on the entire genome. We further showed that fastevolving protein-coding genes and their corresponding 50 UTRs have a significantly lower frequency of the CpG dinucleotides than those evolving at an average pace, and these fast-evolving genes are enriched in the process of immunity and host defense. We also identified fast-evolving miRNAs with antiviral functions in cells.
