1Prevalence of HPV Infection And Cervical Intraepithelial Neoplasia And Attitudes towards HPV Vaccination among Chinese Women Aged 18-25 in Jiangsu Province显示文摘Objective:Few data are available on the epidemiology of HPV and cervical cancer among Chinese women younger than 25 years old.This study aimed to estimate the HPV infection rate and the prevalence of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia(CIN) in women aged 18-25,as well as their knowledge of and attitudes towards HPV vaccination.Methods:A population-based cervical cancer screening study was conducted on women aged 18-25 in Jiangsu province in 2008.Participants provided socio-demographic,reproductive and behavioral information and completed a survey about their knowledge of and attitudes towards HPV vaccination.Women then underwent a gynecologic exam to provide two cervical exfoliated cell samples for high risk HPV DNA testing and liquid-based cytology(LBC) as well as visual inspection with acetic acid(VIA).Women testing positive for any test were referred to colposcopy and biopsy.The gold standard for diagnosis of cervical lesions was directed or random biopsies.Results:Within the sample of 316 women,3.4% of them were diagnosed with CIN grade 2 or worse lesions and 17.1% were found to be positive for HPV DNA.Among these young women,extra-marital sexual behavior of them(OR=2.0,95%CI:1.1-3.8) or their husbands(OR=2.6,95%:1.4-4.7) were associated with an increased risk of HPV positivity.Although overall HPV awareness was low,after a brief educational intervention,98.4% reported they would electively receive HPV vaccination and would also recommend that their daughters be vaccinated.However,most urban and rural women reported their ideal maximum out-of-pocket contribution for HPV vaccination to be less than 500 RMB and 50-100 RMB,respectively.Conclusion:Our study indicates cervical disease burden is relatively high among sampled Chinese women aged 18-25.Appropriate educational interventions for female adolescents and strategies to subsidize vaccine costs are definitely needed to ensure the effectiveness of vaccination campaigns in China.Shang-ying Hu Ying Hong Fang-hui Zhao Adam K. 2Human-Tracking Strategies for a Six-legged Rescue Robot Based on Distance and View显示文摘Human tracking is an important issue for intelligent robotic control and can be used in many scenarios, such as robotic services and human-robot cooperation. Most of current human-tracking methods are targeted for mobile/tracked robots, but few of them can be used for legged robots. Two novel human-tracking strategies, view priority strategy and distance priority strategy, are proposed specially for legged robots, which enable them to track humans in various complex terrains. View priority strategy focuses on keeping humans in its view angle arrange with priority, while its counterpart, distance priority strategy, focuses on keeping human at a reasonable distance with priority. To evaluate these strategies, two indexes(average and minimum tracking capability) are defined. With the help of these indexes, the view priority strategy shows advantages compared with distance priority strategy. The optimization is done in terms of these indexes, which let the robot has maximum tracking capability. The simulation results show that the robot can track humans with different curves like square, circular, sine and screw paths. 3Simultaneous determination of three classes of antibiotics in the suspended solids of swine wastewater by ultrasonic extraction,solid-phase extraction and liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry显示文摘This work describes a systematic approach to the development of a method for simultaneous determination of three classes of veterinary antibiotics in the suspended solids (SS) of swine wastewater,including five sulfonamides,three tetracyclines and one macrolide (tiamulin).The entire procedures for sample pretreatment,ultrasonic extraction (USE),solid-phase extraction (SPE),and liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) quantification were examined and optimized.The recovery efficiencies were found to be 76%-104% for sulfonamides,81%-112% for tetracyclines,and 51%-64% for tiamulin at three spiking levels.The intra-day and inter-day precisions,as expressed by the relative standard deviation (RSD),were below 17%.The method detection limits (MDLs) were between 0.14 and 7.14 μg/kg,depending on a specific antibiotic studied.The developed method was applied to field samples collected from three concentrated swine feeding plants located in Beijing,Shanghai and Shandong province of China.All the investigated antibiotics were detected in both SS and liquid phase of swine wastewater,with partition coefficients (logK d) ranging from 0.49 to 2.30.This study demonstrates that the SS can not be ignored when determining the concentrations of antibiotics in swine wastewater.Xun Pan Zhimin Qiang Weiwei Ben Meixue Chen 2011Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,10:16
4Method for Six-Legged Robot Stepping on Obstacles by Indirect Force Estimation显示文摘Adaptive gaits for legged robots often requires force sensors installed on foot-tips,however impact,temperature or humidity can affect or even damage those sensors.Efforts have been made to realize indirect force estimation on the legged robots using leg structures based on planar mechanisms.Robot Octopus III is a six-legged robot using spatial parallel mechanism(UP-2UPS) legs.This paper proposed a novel method to realize indirect force estimation on walking robot based on a spatial parallel mechanism.The direct kinematics model and the inverse kinematics model are established.The force Jacobian matrix is derived based on the kinematics model.Thus,the indirect force estimation model is established.Then,the relation between the output torques of the three motors installed on one leg to the external force exerted on the foot tip is described.Furthermore,an adaptive tripod static gait is designed.The robot alters its leg trajectory to step on obstacles by using the proposed adaptive gait.Both the indirect force estimation model and the adaptive gait are implemented and optimized in a real time control system.An experiment is carried out to validate the indirect force estimation model.The adaptive gait is tested in another experiment.Experiment results show that the robot can successfully step on a 0.2 m-high obstacle.This paper proposes a novel method to overcome obstacles for the six-legged robot using spatial parallel mechanism legs and to avoid installing the electric force sensors in harsh environment of the robot's foot tips.XU Yilin GAO Feng PAN Yang CHAI Xun 2016Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2016,29,4:16
5Oxidation and Induration Characteristics of Pellets Made from Western Australian Ultrafine Magnetite Concentrates and Its Utilization Strategy显示文摘Western Australian magnetite concentrates normally have ultrafine granularity and much higher specific surface areas than Chinese magnetite concentrates owing to the significant pre-grinding and beneficiation for saleable iron grade.Such characteristics will inevitably affect the subsequent pelletization process.However,very few investigations have been done before.Thus,the oxidation and induration characteristics of pellet made from a Western Australian ultrafine magnetite concentrate were revealed by conducting routine preheating-roasting tests in an electric tube furnace and investigating the microstructure of fired pellets under an optical microscope in comparison with that of pellets made from typical Chinese magnetite concentrate.The liquidus regions of CaO-SiO_2-Fe_2O_3 and CaOSiO_2-Al_2O_3 ternary systems in air at various temperatures were calculated by FactSage software to explain the importance of liquid phase in the consolidation of fired pellets.The results show that pellet made from ultrafine magnetite concentrate possesses better oxidability and preheating performance than that made from Chinese magnetite concentrate.However,it has inferior roasting performance,usually requiring conditions of roasting at 1 280℃ for at least 30 min to acquire sufficiently high compressive strength,which are attributed to higher temperature sensitivity caused by its smaller particle size and less formation of liquid phase because of low impurities like CaO and Al_2O_3 in raw materials.Correspondingly,its roasting performance can be significantly improved by blending with Chinese magnetite concentrates or increasing the pellet basicity(wCaO/wSiO_2).By comprehensive evaluation,blending with Chinese iron ore concentrates is an appropriate way to utilize Western Australia ultrafine magnetite concentrates.Cong-cong YANG De-qing ZHU Jian PAN Bin-zhi ZHOU Hu XUN 2016Journal of Iron and Steel Research(International)2016,23,9:14
6Correlations of portal hypertensive gastropathy of hepatitis B cirrhosis with other factors显示文摘Objective: To study the clinical relations of portal hy-pertensive gastropathy (PHG) of hepatitis B cirrho-sis to other factors.Methods: Three groups of subjects were studied pro-spectively at our hospital from March 2000 to March2001: 159 hepatitis B cirrhotic patients with portalhypertension, 114 hepatitis B cirrhotic patients with-out portal hypertension, and 97 control subjects.Free portal vein pressure (FPP) was measured dur-ing surgery. Liver function was assessed by Pugh’smodification of Child’s criteria. The area of livercollagen fibrin was studied using color image analysissystem. Esophageal varices were identified by Dagra-di grading. Gastric varices were identified accordingto Northern Italian Endoscopic Council (NIEC)grading. Hypersplenism was assessed with the reduc-tion of WBC, HGB and PLT. Hepatitis B virus inthe gastric mucosa was detected by immunizing histo-chemistry. Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) organismswere identified by rapid urease testing and/or exami-nation of the stained biopsy specimens (haematoxylinand eosin). To analyze the correlation between theseendoscopic signs at the gastric level and other fac-tors.Results: The differences of FPP among the threegroups (patients with grade Ⅰ, Ⅱ, and Ⅲ gastropa-thy) were not significant. There was no correlationbetween Child-Pugh classification grading and the se-verity of gastropathy (P=0. 153). The differences ofthe area of liver collagen fibrin among the threegrade gastropathy were not statistically significant (P=0. 801). There was a significant difference in theprevalence of severe PHG among grade Ⅰ, Ⅱ, Ⅲ,Ⅳ and Ⅴ esophageal varices (P<0. 001). PHG waspresent in a similar percentage of patients with gas-tric varices compared with those without gastric vari-ces (P=0. 209). There was a significant difference inthe severity between PHG and hypersplenism (P=0. 003). Seven patients with PHG had no microscopicevidence of hepatitis B virus infection in the gastricwall. There was no correlation between Child-Pughclassification grading and infection of H. pylori (P=0. 7491).Conclusions: The most important element causingPHG is the increased portal pressure as a prerequi-site. In addition, other factors may contribute to thedevelopment of PHG. PHG often occurs in patientswith the presence of esophageal varices. There is amarked correlation between the severity of PHG andhypersplenism. Hepatitis B virus and H. pylori infec-tion are unlikely to be involved in the pathogenesis ofPHG. 7Adsorptive removal of antibiotics from water using magneticion exchange resin显示文摘The occurrence of antibiotics in the environment has recently raised serious concern regarding their potential threat to aquatic ecosystem and human health. In this study, the magnetic ion exchange(MIEX) resin was applied for removing three commonly-used antibiotics, sulfamethoxazole(SMX), tetracycline(TCN) and amoxicillin(AMX) from water.The results of batch experiments show that the maximum adsorption capacities on the MIEX resin for SMX, TCN and AMX were 789.32, 443.18 and 155.15 μg/m L at 25°C,respectively, which were 2–7 times that for the powdered activated carbon. The adsorption kinetics of antibiotics on the MIEX resin could be simulated by the pseudo-second-order model(R^2= 0.99), and the adsorption isotherm data were well described by the Langmuir model(R^2= 0.97). Solution p H exhibited a remarkable impact on the adsorption process and the absorbed concentrations of the tested antibiotics were obtained around the neutral p H.The MIEX resin could be easily regenerated by 2 mol/L Na Cl solution and maintained high adsorption removal for the tested antibiotics after regeneration. Anion exchange mechanism mainly controlled the adsorption of antibiotic and the formation of hydrogen binding between the antibiotic and resin can also result in the increase of adsorption capacity. 8Adsorption behavior of sulfamethazine in an activated sludge process treating swine wastewater显示文摘Swine wastewater is an important pollution source of antibiotics entering the aquatic environment. In this work,the adsorption behavior of sulfamethazine(SMN),a commonlyused sulfonamide antibiotic,on activated sludge from a sequencing batch reactor treating swine wastewater was investigated. The results show that the adsorption of SMN on activated sludge was an initially rapid process and reached equilibrium after 6 hr. The removal efficiency of SMN from the water phase increased with an increasing concentration of mixed liquor suspended solids,while the adsorbed concentration of SMN decreased. Solution pH influenced both the speciation of SMN and the surface properties of activated sludge,thus significantly impacting the adsorption process. A linear partition model could give a good fit for the equilibrium concentrations of SMN at the test temperatures(i.e.,10,20 and 30°C). The partition coefficient(Kd) was determined to be 100.5 L/kg at 20°C,indicating a quite high adsorption capacity for SMN. Thermodynamic analysis revealed that SMN adsorption on activated sludge was an exothermic process. 10Chloroplast DNA variation and phylogeography of Ligularia tongolensis (Asteraceae), a species endemic to the Hengduan Mountains region of China显示文摘In this research, we aimed to study the genetic variation and phylogeographic pattern of Ligularia tongolensis, a perennial herb endemic to the Hengduan Mountains region of China. We sequenced two chloroplast DNA (cpDNA) intergenic spacers (trnQ-5 rps16, trnL-rpl32) in 140 individuals from 14 populations of three groups (Jinshajiang vs. Yalongjiang vs. Wumeng) within this species range. High levels of haplotype diversity (Hd = 0.814) and total genetic diversity (Ht = 0.862) were detected at the species level, based on a total of 12 haplotypes identified. Low levels of intrapopulation diversity (Hs = 0.349), high levels of genetic divergence (Gst = 0.595, Nst = 0.614, Fst = 0.597), and the absence of isolation by distance tests were also found in L. tongolensis. Furthermore, H2 and H5, the dominant haplotypes that located at internal nodes and deviated from extinct ancestral haplotype in the network, were found to be shared between Jinshajiang and Yalongjiang groups. These results indicate that past fragmentation may be the important factor responsible for the present phylogeographical pattern of L. tongolensis. Meanwhile, the locations occupied by each group might have served as independent refugia for L. tongolensis during the Quaternary glaciation. 11Obstacle avoidance for a hexapod robot in unknown environment显示文摘Obstacle avoidance is quite an important issue in the field of legged robotic applications, such as rescuing and detecting in complicated environment. Most related researchers focused on the legged robot’s gait generation after ssuming that obstacles have been detected and the walking path has been given. In this paper we propose and validate a novel obstacle avoidance framework for a six-legged walking robot Hexapod-III in unknown environment. Throughout the paper we highlight three themes: (1) The terrain map modeling and the obstacle detection; (2) the obstacle avoidance path planning method; (3) motion planning for the legged robot. Concretely, a novel geometric feature grid map (GFGM) is proposed to describe the terrain. Based on the GFGM, the obstacle detection algorithm is presented. Then the concepts of virtual obstacles and safe conversion pose are introduced. Virtual obstacles restrict the robot to walk on the detection terrain. A safe path based on Bezier curves, passing through safe conversion poses, is obtained by minimizing a penalty function taking into account the path length subjected to obstacle avoidance. Thirdly, motion planning for the legged robot to walk along the generated path is discussed in detail. At last, we apply the proposed framework to the Hexapod-III robot. 12Accuracy of triage strategies for human papillomavirus DNA-positive women in low-resource settings:A cross-sectional study in China显示文摘Objective: Care HPV is a human papillomavirus(HPV) DNA test for low-resource settings(LRS).This study assesses optimum triage strategies for care HPV-positive women in LRS.Methods: A total of 2,530 Chinese women were concurrently screened for cervical cancer with visual inspection with acetic acid(VIA),liquid-based cytology and HPV testing by physician-and self-collected care HPV,and physician-collected Hybrid Capture 2(HC2).Screen-positive women were referred to colposcopy with biopsy and endocervical curettage as necessary.HPV-positivity was defined as ≥1.0 relative light units/cutoff(RLU/CO) for both care HPV and HC2.Primary physician-HC2,physician-care HPV and self-care HPV and in sequential screening with cytology,VIA,or increased HPV test-positivity performance,stratified by age,were assessed for cervical intraepithelial neoplasia(CIN) grade 2/3 or worse(CIN2/3+) detection.Results: The sensitivities and specificities of primary HPV testing for CIN2+ were: 83.8%,88.1% for physiciancare HPV; 72.1%,88.2% for self-care HPV; and 97.1%,86.0% for HC2.Physician-care HPV test-positive women with VIA triage had a sensitivity of 30.9% for CIN2+ versus 80.9% with cytology triage.Self-care HPV testpositive women with VIA triage was 26.5% versus 66.2% with cytology triage.The sensitivity of HC2 test-positive women with VIA triage was 38.2% versus 92.6% with cytology triage.The sensitivity of physician-care HPV testing for CIN2+ decreased from 83.8% at ≥1.0 RLU/CO to 72.1% at ≥10.00 RLU/CO,while the sensitivity of selfcare HPV testing decreased from 72.1% at ≥1.0 RLU/CO to 32.4% at ≥10.00 RLU/CO; similar trends were seen with age-stratification.Conclusions: VIA and cytology triage improved specificity for CIN2/3 than no triage.Sensitivity with VIA triage was unsuitable for a mass-screening program.VIA provider training might improve this strategy.Cytology triage could be feasible where a high-quality cytology program exists.Triage of HPV test-positive women by increased test positivity cutoff adds another LRS triage option.Margaret Wang Shangying Hu Shuang Zha o Wenhua Zhang Qinjing Pan Xun Zhang FengChen Jinxiu Han Junfei Ma Jennifer S.Smith Youlin Qiao Caihong Zhou Fanghui Zhao 2017Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2017,29,6:6
13Study on precipitation and transition mechanisms from the magnetic properties of silicon steel during annealing显示文摘Precipitates play an important role in determining the mechanical and magnetic properties of silicon steel. This paper aims to investigate the growth kinetics of precipitates in commercial silicon steel by analyzing its magnetic properties during isothermal annealing at 200°C. The growth of precipitates was studied by optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, and magnetic measurements. In combination with the coercive field and initial susceptibility, this technique offers the advantage of being non-destructive and providing quantitative information about the number, mean radius of precipitates, and fraction of transformation. 16A Streptococcus suis serotype 2 caused streptococcal toxic shock syndrome(STSS) in a patient显示文摘Streptococcus suis(S.suis)is a Gram-positive,facultatively anaerobic coccus that has been implicated as the cause of a wide range of clinical disease syndromes in swine and other domestic animals.S.suis has also been implicated in disease in humans,especially among abattoir workers,swine and pork handlers.Here we report a case of streptococcal toxic shock syndrome(STSS)caused by S.suis in a 59-year-old man.Despite of intensive treatment,the patient died of shock with multiple organ failure 14 h after admission.One bacterial isolate obtained from blood culture was identified to the species level by biochemical tests and serological tests as S.suis serotype 2.Identification was confirmed by PCR amplification of genes encoding 16sRNA of S.suis and the capsule of S.suis serotype 2(cps 2J).Genes encoding virulence factors were also detected.An investigation to identify the source of S.suis revealed that several days before admission the affected man had been handling sick pigs or their meat.Transmission may occur through breaks in the skin of feet with tinea due to that no measures for personal protection was taken.This case should highten awareness of the potential for occupational exposure and human infection with S.suis.Yefei Zhu Zhongmin Tan Lingyang Zhu Hongxing Pan Xuejun Zhang Lei Xu Huimin Qian Ling Gu Xun Ye Chen Dong Changjun Bao Rongqiang Zhu Fengcai Zhu Hua Wang 2008Journal of Nanjing Medical University2008,22,5:3

18The SSA-BP-based potential threat prediction for aerial target considering commander emotion显示文摘The target's threat prediction is an essential procedure for the situation analysis in an aerial defense system.However,the traditional threat prediction methods mostly ignore the effect of commander's emotion.They only predict a target's present threat from the target's features itself,which leads to their poor ability in a complex situation.To aerial targets,this paper proposes a method for its potential threat prediction considering commander emotion(PTP-CE)that uses the Bi-directional LSTM(BiLSTM)network and the backpropagation neural network(BP)optimized by the sparrow search algorithm(SSA).Furthermore,we use the BiLSTM to predict the target's future state from real-time series data,and then adopt the SSA-BP to combine the target's state with the commander's emotion to establish a threat prediction model.Therefore,the target's potential threat level can be obtained by this threat prediction model from the predicted future state and the recognized emotion.The experimental results show that the PTP-CE is efficient for aerial target's state prediction and threat prediction,regardless of commander's emotional effect.Xun Wang Jin Liu Tao Hou Chao Pan 2022Defence Technology(防务技术)2022,18,11:3

20Transcriptomic analysis elucidates the enhanced skeletal muscle mass, reduced fat accumulation, and metabolically benign liver in human follistatin-344 transgenic pigs显示文摘Follistatin(FST) is an important regulator of skeletal muscle growth and adipose deposition through its ability to bind to several members of the transforming growth factor-β(TGF-β) superfamily, and thus may be a good candidate for future animal breeding programs. However, the molecular mechanisms underlying the phenotypic changes have yet to be clarified in pig. We generated transgenic(TG) pigs that express human FST specifically in skeletal muscle tissues and characterized the phenotypic changes compared with the same tissues in wild-type pigs. The TG pigs showed increased skeletal muscle growth, decreased adipose deposition, and improved metabolism status(P<0.05). Transcriptome analysis detected important roles of the PIK3–AKT signaling pathway, calcium-mediated signaling pathway, and amino acid metabolism pathway in FST-induced skeletal muscle hypertrophy, and depot-specific oxidative metabolism changes in psoas major muscle. Furthermore, the lipid metabolism-related process was changed in adipose tissue in the TG pigs. Gene set enrichment analysis revealed that genes related to lipid synthesis, lipid catabolism, and lipid storage were down-regulated(P<0.01) in the TG pigs for subcutaneous fat, whereas genes related to lipid catabolism were significantly up-regulated(P<0.05) in the TG pigs for retroperitoneal fat compared with their expression levels in wild-type pigs. In liver, genes related to the TGF-β signaling pathway were over-represented in the TG pigs, which is consistent with the inhibitory role of FST in regulating TGF-β signaling.
