| 1 | Structure and deformation around the Gyirong basin, north Himalaya, and onset of the south Tibetan detachment system显示文摘Gyirong basin and its adjacent area are located at a special position in the Himalayan orogen, where the south Tibetan detachment system (STDS) and N-S trending rift converged. The north Himalayan orogen here can be divided into five petrologic-tectonic units successively from south to north: 1) the Greater Himalayan crystalline complex (GHC); 2) the STDS shear zone; 3) the Tethyan Himalayan sedimentary sequence (THS); 4) the late Cenozoic sedimentary basins, such as Gyirong and Oma basins; and 5) the Malashan gneiss dome. Structural studies show that this area experienced four stages of deformation: 1) the earlier south-directed thrusting, preserved both in the GHC and THS; 2) top-down-to-north slip along the STDS, normal faults related to this slip formed the early controlling structures of the Cenozoic basins,and the tilted pattern of the blocks between the basins indicated a north-directed slip; 3) east-west extension, the resultant N-S trending normal fault formed the eastern boundary of the basins; and 4) late gravitational collapse. | 5 | On-chip circulating tumor cells isolation based on membrane filtration and immuno-magnetic bead clump capture显示文摘Isolating rare circulating tumor cells(CTCs)from blood is critical for the downstream analysis that is important in cancer-related research,diagnosis,and medicine,and efforts are ongoing to increase the efficiency and purity of CTC isolation in microfluidics.Reported in this paper is a two-stage integrated microfluidic chip for coarse-to-fine CTC isolation from whole blood.First,blood cells are removed by filtration using a micropore-array membrane,then CTCs and other cells that are trapped in the micropores are peeled off the membrane by a novel release method based on air–liquid interfacial tension,which significantly increases the recovery rate of CTCs.The second stage is CTC capture based on an on-chip dense immuno-magnetic-bead clump,which offers high capture efficiency and purity.Both the micropore filtration and immuno-magnetic-bead capture are validated and optimized experimentally.Overall,the integrated microfluidic chip can realize a recovery rate of 85.5%and a purity of 37.8%for rare cancer cells spiked in whole blood. | Shuai Zhang Yue Wang Chaoqiang Yang Junwen Zhu Xiongying Ye Wenhui Wang | 2022 | Nanotechnology and Precision Engineering2022,5,1: | 0 |
