OVERVIEW OF SEVERE TYPHOON FITOW AND ITS OPERATIONAL FORECASTS显示文摘Severe typhoon Fitow(1323)brought persistent and heavy rainfall to Zhejiang and the Shanghai area after it made landfall at Fujian Province of China in October 2013,breaking the rainfall records of several counties and districts in Zhejiang. In this paper,we provide an overview of the characteristics of Fitow’s landfall, including its track, intensity, structural evolution, heavy rainfall, and wind.We also describe some of the associated disastrous impacts. Finally,we provide verifications of operational forecasts of its track, intensity and rainfall.Though the track and intensity is well predicted, the rainfall persistence and enhancement in the second stage in Shanghai and north Zhejiang areas are not predicted out at all.The analysis presented in this paper provides forecasters and researchers with some valuable information on Fitow, which could form a useful basis for further studies. | ZIFENG YU YANDIE CHEN DAN WU GUOMIN CHEN XUWEI BAO QIUZHEN YANG RUNLING YU LEI ZHANG JIE TANG MING XU ZHIHUA ZENG | 2014 | Tropical Cyclone Research and Review2014,3,1: | 2
iTRAQ-based proteomic analysis of the rat striatum in response to methamphetamine preconditioning显示文摘Methamphetamine(METH)is an illicit and synthetic amphetamine-type drug that has become an international public health burden due to the property of strong addiction and severe neurotoxicity.Preconditioning is a protective state that is produced by subtoxic doses of cellular stress.Cadet et al.[1]found that injection with increasing doses of METH over several days before challenging the animals with large toxic doses could provide substantial attenuation of toxic effects on monoaminergic systems;this pattern of drug administration was named METH preconditioning[1].Accumulating studies have revealed that METH preconditioning can protect against binge METH toxicity. However, the accurate molecular machinery of METH preconditioning remains largely obscure.Herein, using isobaric tags for relative and absolute quantitation(iTRAQ),we investigated the proteins aberrantly expressed in METH preconditioning in the rat striatum, one of the main subregions of the brain affected by METH exposure. We hope this study would shed new light on understanding METH preconditioning regarding its protective potential. | Shuang Lu Yandi Yang Lvshuang Liao Weitao Yan Kun Xiong Jie Yan | 2021 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2021,53,5: | 2
Insight into the promotional mechanism of Cu modification towards wide-temperature NH3-SCR performance of NbCe catalyst显示文摘A simple strategy of Cu modification was proposed to broaden the operation temperature window for NbCe catalyst. The best catalyst Cu0.010/Nb1Ce3 presented over 90%NO conversion in a wide temperature range of 200-400℃and exhibited an excellent H_(2)O or/and SO_(2) resistance at 275℃.To understand the promotional mechanism of Cu modification, the correlation among the'activity-structure-property'were tried to establish systematically.Cu species highly dispersed on NbCe catalyst to serve as the active component. The strong interaction among Cu,Nb and Ce promoted the emergence of NbO4 and induced more Bronsted acid sites. And Cu modification obviously enhanced the redox behavior of the NbCe catalyst.Besides,EPR probed the Cu species exited in the form of monomeric and dimeric Cu^(2+),the isolated Cu^(2+)acted as catalytic active sites to promote the reaction:Cu^(2+)-NO_(3)^(-)+NO(g)→Cu^(2+)-NO_(2)^(-)+NO_(2)(g).Then the generated NO_(2) would accelerate the fast-SCR reaction process and thus facilitated the lowtemperature deNO_(x) efficiency. Moreover, surface nitrates became unstable and easy to decompose after Cu modification, thus providing additional adsorption and activation sites for NH3,and ensuring the improvement of catalytic activity at high temperature.Since the NH3-SCR reaction followed by E-R reaction pathway efficaciously over Cu_(0.010)/Nb_(1)Ce_(3) catalyst, the excellent H_(2)O and SO_(2) resistance was as expected. | Dongqi An Yuyao Yang Weixin Zou Yandi Cai Qing Tong Jingfang Sun Lin Dong | 2022 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2022,,10: | 1
Systematic evaluation of IgG responses to SARS-CoV-2 spike protein-derived peptides for monitoring COVID-19 patients显示文摘Serological tests play an essential role in monitoring and combating the COVID-19 pandemic.Recombinant spike protein(S protein),especially the S1 protein,is one of the major reagents used for serological tests. However, the high cost of S protein production and possible cross-reactivity with other human coronaviruses pose unavoidable challenges.By taking advantage of a peptide microarray with full spike protein coverage,we analyzed 2,434 sera from 858 COVID-19 patients,63 asymptomatic patients and 610 controls collected from multiple clinical centers.Based on the results,we identified several S protein-derived 12-mer peptides that have high diagnostic performance. In particular, for monitoring the IgG response, one peptide(aa 1148-1159 or S2-78)exhibited a sensitivity(95.5%,95%CI 93.7-96.9%)and specificity(96.7%,95%CI 94.8-98.0%)comparable to those of the S1 protein for the detection of both symptomatic and asymptomatic COVID-19 cases.Furthermore, the diagnostic performance of the S2-78(aa 1148-1159)IgG was successfully validated by ELISA in an independent sample cohort.A panel of four peptides,S1-93(aa 553-564),S1-97(aa 577-588),S1-101(aa 601-612)and S1-105(aa 625-636),that likely will avoid potential cross-reactivity with sera from patients infected by other coronaviruses was constructed. The peptides identified in this study may be applied independently or in combination with the S1 protein for accurate, affordable, and accessible COVID-19 diagnosis. | Yang Li Dan-yun La Qing Lei Zhao-wei Xu Feng Wang Hongyan Hou Lingyun Chen Jiaoxiang Wu Yan Ren Ming-liang Ma Bo Zhang Hong Chen Caizheng Yu Jun-biao Xue Yun-xiao Zheng Xue-ning Wang He-wei Jiang Hai-nan Zhang Huan Qi Shu-juan Guo Yandi Zhang Xiaosong Lin Zongjie Yao Pengfei Pang Dawei Shi Wei Wang Xiao Yang Jie Zhou Huiming Sheng Ziyong Sun Hong Shan Xionglin Fan Sheng-ce Tao | 2021 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2021,18,3: | 0
The H^(+)-pyrophosphatase IbVP1 regulates carbon flux to influence the starch metabolism and yield of sweet potato显示文摘Storage roots of sweet potato are important sink organs for photoassimilates and energy, and carbohydrate metabolism in storage roots affects yield and starch production. Our previous study showed that sweet potato H+-pyrophosphatase(IbVP1)plays a vital role in mitigating iron deficiency and positively controls fibrous root growth. However, its roles in regulating starch production in storage roots have not been investigated. In this study,we found that IbVP1 overexpression in sweet potato improved the photosynthesis ability of and sucrose content in source leaves and increased both the starch content in and total yield of sink tissues.Using 13C-labeled sucrose feeding,we determined that IbVP1 overexpression promotes phloem loading and sucrose long-distance transport and enhances Pi-use efficiency. In sweet potato plants overexpressing IbVP1,the expression levels of starch biosynthesis pathway genes, especially AGPase and GBSSI,were upregulated, leading to changes in the structure, composition, and physicochemical properties of stored starch. Our study shows that the IbVP1 gene plays an important role in regulating starch metabolism in sweet potato.Application of the VP1 gene in genetic engineering of sweet potato cultivars may allow the improvement of starch production and yield under stress or nutrient-limited conditions. | Weijuan Fan Yandi Zhang Yinliang Wu Wenzhi Zhou Jun Yang Ling Yuan Peng Zhang Hongxia Wang | 2021 | Horticulture Research2021,8,1: | 0
COVID-ONE-hi:The One-stop Database for COVID-19-specific Humoral Immunity and Clinical Parameters显示文摘Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19),which is caused by SARS-CoV-2,varies with regard to symptoms and mortality rates among populations.Humoral immunity plays critical roles in SARS-CoV-2 infection and recovery from COVID-19.However,differences in immune responses and clinical features among COVID-19 patients remain largely unknown. Here,we report a database for COVID-19-specific IgG/IgM immune responses and clinical parameters(named COVID-ONE-hi).COVID-ONE-hi is based on the data that contain the IgG/IgM responses to 24 full-length/truncated proteins corresponding to 20 of 28 known SARS-CoV-2 proteins and 199 spike protein peptides against 2360 serum samples collected from 783 COVID-19 patients. In addition,96 clinical parameters for the 2360 serum samples and basic information for the 783 patients are integrated into the database.Furthermore,COVID-ONE-hi provides a dashboard for defining samples and a one-click analysis pipeline for a single group or paired groups.A set of samples of interest is easily defined by adjusting the scale bars of a variety of parameters. After the“START”button is clicked, one can readily obtain a comprehensive analysis report for further interpretation.COVID-ONE-hi is freely available at www.COVID-ONE.cn. | Zhaowei Xu Yang Li Qing Lei Likun Huang Dan-yun Lai Shu-juan Guo He-wei Jiang Hongyan Hou Yun-xiao Zheng Xue-ning Wang Jiaoxiang Wu Ming-liang Ma Bo Zhang Hong Chen Caizheng Yu Jun-biao Xue Hai-nan Zhang Huan Qi Siqi Yu Mingxi Lin Yandi Zhang Xiaosong Lin Zongjie Yao Huiming Sheng Ziyong Sun Feng Wang Xionglin Fan Sheng-ce Tao | 2021 | Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2021,19,5: | 0
Therapeutic values of chick early amniotic fluid(ceAF)that facilitates wound healing via potentiating a SASP-mediated transient senescence显示文摘Inflammatory, proliferative and remodeling phases constitute a cutaneous wound healing program.Therapeutic applications and medication are available;however, they commonly are comprised of fortified preservatives that might prolong the healing process.Chick early amniotic fluids(ceAF)contain native therapeutic factors with balanced chemokines, cytokines and growth-related factors;their origins in principle dictate no existence of harmful agents that would otherwise hamper embryo development.Instead, they possess a spectrum of molecules driving expeditious mitotic divisions and possibly exerting other functions.Employing both in vitro and in vivo models,we examined ceAF's therapeutic potentials in wound healing and found intriguing involvement of transient senescence, known to be intimately intermingled with Senescence Associated Secretory Phenotypes(SASP)that function in addition to or in conjunction with ceAF to facilitate wound healing. In our cutaneous wound healing models,a low dose of ceAF exhibited the best efficacies;however, higher doses attenuated the wound healing presumably by inducing p16 expression over a threshold. Our studies thus link an INK4/ARF locus-mediated signaling cascade to cutaneous wound healing, suggesting therapeutic potentials of ceAF exerting functions likely by driving transient senescence, expediting cellular proliferation, migration, and describing a homeostatic and balanced dosage strategy in medical intervention. | Mashaal Ahmad Yandi Sun Xueyao Jia Jingjia Li Lihong Zhang Ze Yang Yindan Lin Xueyun Zhang Zara Ahmad Khan Jin Qian Yan Luo | 2022 | Genes & Diseases2022,9,5: | 0
Morphology Structure Evolution and Combustion Reactivity of Bituminous Char at Around Ash Melting Temperature显示文摘In slag tapping furnaces, char particles undergo a series of complex structural evolution before and after being captured by the liquid slag layer. The evolution results affect the carbon conversion rate and are affected by temperature fluctuations, especially in the ash melting temperature zone. Experimental study on structure evolution of bituminous char prepared at around ash melting temperature was carried out on a fixed bed. The morphology, specific surface area and mineral chemical composition were measured at different temperatures. Experimental results show that the number density and the size of ash droplets exuded on the char surface increased significantly with the increasing temperature. The ash specific surface area from gasification was slightly greater than that from combustion. The residual content of chloride in the char become 1% and the contents of Fe, K, Mg and Na decrease significantly during the pyrolysis process across the ash melting temperature zone. The diffraction intensity of oldhamite increase which indicates the reaction of carbon substrate with minerals during the evolution;the diffraction intensity of quartz dramatically decreases for the reason of anorthite generation. The ignition and burnout temperatures of char were found to increase and the combustion stability decreased with the increasing pyrolysis temperature. | ZHANG Yandi YANG Huan WANG Bo HMShahzaib KHAN DUAN Xiaoli LIU Yinhe | 2022 | Journal of Thermal Science2022,31,6: | 0
Getting insights into gas-phase sulfation effect on catalytic performance of praseodymium oxides in NH_(3)-SCR of NO显示文摘Sulfation treatment has been widely used to promote the catalytic performance of ceria(CeO_(2))based catalysts for the selective catalytic reduction of NO by NH_(3)(NH_(3)-SCR of NO).Praseodymium oxide(PrO_(x)),another commonly used rare earth material with similar structural properties as CeO_(2),also shows satistactory redox properties due to the facile redox cycle of Pr^(3+)■Pr^(4+).In this work, gas phase sulfation treatment with varied duration was performed on PrO_(x) at 200℃,and the NH_(3)-SCR activity of sulfated PrO_(x) was evaluated.Based on the results of systematic characterizations(e.g.,N_(2)-physisorption,NH_(3) oxidation,NO oxidation,in situ diffuse Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy),it is revealed that the catalytic performance of sulfated PrO_(x)is highly dependent on the sulfation time(or the amount of sulfate species deposited on PrO_(x)),which has a significant impact on the competitive reaction between NH_(3) oxidation and NH_(3)-SCR of NO,thus determining the NH_(3)-SCR activity of PrO_(x).This work provides new insight into tuning the interaction between PrO_(x) surface and reactants(NO,NH_(3))via sulfation treatment, which cam guide the design and application of PrO_(x)based catalysts for NH_(3)-SCR of NO in the future. | Yandi Cai Peng Yang Qinglong Liu Kaili Ma Wenxin Ma Wang Song Qiuhui Qian Fei Gao Wei Tan Lin Dong | 2023 | Journal of Rare Earths2023,41,6: | 0
