Because of its widespread distribution, invasive ability, pest status, and economic losses to fruit and vegetable crops, this insect species is viewed as an organism warranting severe quarantine restrictions by many countries in the world. To understand the characteristics and potential for expansion of this pest, this article assembled current knowledge on the occurrence and comprehensive control of the Oriental fruit fly in China concerning the following key aspects: invasion and expansion process, biological and ecological characteristics, dynamic monitoring, chemical ecology, function of symbionts, mechanism of insecticide resistance, control index, and comprehensive control and countermeasures. | 4 | Cloning and characterization of squalene synthase and cycloartenol synthase from Siraitia grosvenorii显示文摘Mogrosides and steroid saponins are tetracyclic triterpenoids found in Siraitia grosvenorii.Squalene synthase(SQS) and cycloartenol synthase(CAS) are key enzymes in triterpenoid and steroid biosynthesis.In this study,full-length cDNAs of SgSQS and SgCAS were cloned by a rapid amplification of cDNA-ends with polymerase chain reaction(RACE-PCR) approach.The SgSQS cDNA has a 1254 bp open reading frame(ORF) encoding 417 amino acids,and the SgCAS cDNA contains a 2298 bp ORF encoding 765 amino acids.Bioinformatic analysis showed that the deduced SgSQS protein has two transmembrane regions in the C-terminal.Both SgSQS and SgCAS have significantly higher levels in fruits than in other tissues,suggesting that steroids and mogrosides are competitors for the same precursors in fruits.Combined in silico prediction and subcellular localization,experiments in tobacco indicated that SgSQS was probably in the cytoplasm or on the cytoskeleton,and SgCAS was likely located in the nucleus or cytosol.These results will provide a foundation for further study of SgSQS and SgCAS gene functions in S.grosvenorii,and may facilitate improvements in mogroside content in fruit by regulating gene expression. | Huan Zhao Qi Tang Changming Mo Longhua Bai Dongping Tu Xiaojun Ma | 2017 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2017,7,2: | 10 |

| 8 | BACKGROUND: Vibrio vulnifi cus inside the body could activate the NF-!B signaling pathwayand initiate the inflammatory cascade. The lung is one of the earliest organs affected by sepsisassociated with acute lung injury. High mobility group protein B1 (HMGB1) is an important late-actingpro-infl ammatory cytokine involving in the pathophysiology of sepsis. It is also involved in the injuryprocess in the lung, liver and intestine. There has been no report on the involvement of HMGB1 inVibrio vulnifi cus sepsis-induced lung injury.METHODS: Sixty rats were randomly divided into a normal control group (group A, n=10) anda Vibrio vulnificus sepsis group (group B, n=50). Sepsis was induced in the rats by subcutaneousinjection of Vibrio vulnificus (concentration 6×108 cfu/mL, volume 0.1 mL/100g)) into the left lowerlimbs. The rats in group B were sacrifi ced separately 1, 6, 12, 24, and 48 hours after the infection.Their lungs were stored as specimens, lung water content was measured, and lung pathology wasobserved under a light microscope. The expressions of the HMGB1 gene and protein in the lungswere detected by RT-PCR and Western blot. Data were analyzed with one-way analysis of variance(ANOVA) and the LSD method for pair-wise comparison between the two groups. P〈0.05 wasconsidered statistically signifi cant.RESULTS: Compared to group A (0.652±0.177), HMGB1 mRNA expression in the lungs ofgroup B was signifi cantly higher at 0 hour (1.161±0.358, P=0.013), 24 hours (1.679±0.235, P=0.000),and 48 hours (1.258±0.274, P=0.004) (P〈0.05), and peaked at 24 hours. Compared to group A(0.594±0.190), HMGB1 protein expression at 6 hours (1.408±0.567, P=0.026) after infection wassignificantly increased (P〈0. 05), and peaked at 24 hours (2.415±1.064, P=0.000) after infection.Compared to group A (0.699±0.054), lung water content was significantly increased at 6 hours(0.759±0.030, P=0.001),12 hours (0.767±0.023, P=0.000), 24 hours (0.771±0.043, P=0.000) and 48hours (0.789±0.137, P=0.000) after infection (P〈0.05). Compared to group A, pathological changesat 12 hours in group B indicate marked pulmonary vascular congestion, interstitial edema andinfl ammatory infi ltration. | 11 | SNHG1 functions as an oncogenic lncRNA and promotes osteosarcoma progression by up-regulating S100A6 viamiR-493-5p显示文摘The mechanism behind the aberrant expression of S100A6 in osteosarcoma is seldom reported so far.This study sought to explore the regulatory axis targeting S100A6 involved in osteosarcoma progression.Clinical samples collected from osteosarcoma patients were used to detect the expressions of SNHG1,miR-493-5p,and S100A6 by western bolt analysis and reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction(RT-qPCR).The effects of S100A6 on proliferation and osteogenic differentiation were investigated by the CCK-8 assay,colony formation assay,Ethynyl deoxyuridine staining,matrix mineralization assay,and alkaline phosphatase assay.The potential of lncRNAs/miRNAs targeting S100A6 was identified by the bioinformatics approach,and the results were verified by the dual luciferase assay and RNA immunoprecipitation assay.Both in vitro and in vivo rescue experiments were performed to investigate the regulatory relationship between the identified lncRNAs and S100A6.The results showed that S100A6 is highly expressed in osteosarcoma.S100A6 overexpression not only increases the proliferation but also reduces the osteogenic differentiation of osteosarcoma cells,while S1006A silence exerts the opposite effects.Then,SNHG1 is identified to directly interact with miR-493-5p to attenuate miR-493-5p binding to the 3′-untranslated region of S100A6.Notably,S100A6 silence partially rescues the effect of SNHG1 overexpression on proliferation and osteogenic differentiation of osteosarcoma cells.Furthermore,the suppressive role of SNHG1 silence in the growth of osteosarcoma xenograft tumors is countered by S100A6 overexpression.Collectively,this study reveals that S100A6 plays an important role in osteosarcoma progression,and SNHG1 promotes S100A6 expression by competitively sponging miR-493-5p. | Qi Liu Jiaying Luo Huan Wang Lei Zhang Guoxin Jin | 2022 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2022,54,1: | 5 |

In Arabidopsis, SA is synthesized from chorismate in the chloroplast through the ICS1 (isochorismate synthase I) pathway during pathogen infectioru The transcription co-activator NPR1 (Non-Expresser of Pathogenesis-Related Gene 1), as the master regulator of SA signaling, interacts with transcription factors to induce the expression of anti-microbial PR (Pathogenesis-Related) genes. To establish successful in fections, plant bacterial, oomycete, fun gal, and viral pathogens have evolved at least three major strategies to disrupt SA-mediated defense? The first strategy is to reduce SA accumulation directly by converting SA into its inactive derivatives. The second strategy is to interrupt SA biosynthesis by targeting the ICS1 pathway. In the third major strategy, plant pathogens deploy different mechanisms to interfere with SA downstream signaling. The wide array of strategies deployed by plant pathogens highlights the crucial role of disruption of SA-mediated plant defense in plant pathogenesis. Quantitative mercury emission has been estimated. At present, 17.5%—20% of the consumed mercury is released into water, 49.1%—53.3% of the Hg is discharged to the brine system outside the plants. 10%—14% of the Hg is emitted directly to the atmosphere, 5 3%—6 7% enters waste materials. The chlor alkali industry in China discharged about 17 tons every year. The total amount of mercury released by the chlor alkali industry in China is estimated to be 1400—2700 tons since 50’s. With the result of improved technology and more strict environmental regulations started in late 1970’s, chlorine plants reduced their mercury loss factor from 0 5? ? 4 kg/t NaOH before 1977 to 0.16—0.18 kg/t NaOH in 1997. The number of mercury cells in alkali plants was also reduced. In 1998, China is planning to finish the history of producing chlorine and caustic soda using the mercury cell process in the near future. | 16 | Efficacy of comprehensive remote ischemic conditioning in elderly patients with acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction underwent primary percutaneous coronary intervention显示文摘BACKGROUND Remote ischemic conditioning(RIC)is used to protect against myocardial injury.However,there is no adequate evidence for comprehensive RIC in elderly patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction(STEMI).This study aimed to test whether comprehensive RIC,started pre-primary percutaneous coronary intervention(PPCI)and repeated daily on 1-30 days post-PPCI,can improve myocardial salvage index(SI),left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),Kansas City Cardiomyopathy Questionnaire Clinical Summary Score(KCCQ-CSS)and 6-min walk test distance(6MWD)in elderly patients with acute STEMI during 12 months follow-up.METHODS 328 consenting elderly patients were randomized to receive standard PPCI plus comprehensive RIC(the treatment group)or standard PPCI(the control group).SI at 5-7 days after PPCI,LVEF,left ventricular end-diastolic volume index(LVEDVI),left ventricular end-systolic volume index(LVESVI),KCCQ-CSS,6MWD and adverse events rates were measured and assessed.RESULTS SI was significantly higher in the treatment group[interquartile range(IQR):0.38-0.66,P=0.037].There were no significant differences in major adverse events at 12 months.Although the differences of LVEDVI,LVESVI and LVEF between the treatment group and the control group did not reach statistical significance at 6 months and 12 months,LVEF tended to be higher,LVEDVI tended to be lower in the treatment group.The KCCQ-CSS was significantly higher in the treatment group at 1 month(IQR:46.5-87,P=0.001)and 12 months(IQR:55-93,P=0.008).There was significant difference in 6MWD between the treatment group and the control group(IQR:258-360 vs.IQR:250-345,P=0.002)at 1 month and(IQR:360-445 vs.IQR:345-432,P=0.035)at 12 months.A modest correlation was found between SI and LVEF(r=0.452,P<0.01),KCCQ-CSS(r=0.440,P<0.01)and 6MWD(r=0.384,P<0.01)respectively at 12 months.CONCLUSIONS The comprehensive RIC can improve SI,KCCQ-CSS and 6MWD.It may be an adjunctive therapy to PPCI in elderly patients with STEMI. | Yan-Ling WANG Qi YANG Cheng-Yan HU Yan-Yan CHU Zheng SUN Huan ZHAO Zhi LIU | 2022 | Journal of Geriatric Cardiology2022,19,6: | 4 |
| 17 | Neuroprotective effects of kaempferol against 2VO-induced chronic cerebral ischemia in rats显示文摘OBJECTIVE To investigate the effects of kaempferol(KAE)on chronic cerebral ischemia in rats.METHODS Chronic cerebral ischemia was induced in rats by permanent occlusion of bilateral common carotid arteries(2VO).Then,the rats with chronic cerebral ischemia were randomly divied into three groups:model group,KAE 10 and 30 mg·kg-1group.Another group rats without occlusion of common carotid arteries were used as the sham-operation group.Memory behavior was investigated by Morris water maze test.Prehensile ability was investigated by prehensile traction test.The structure of hippocampus and cortex neurons was observed with Nissel staining.In addition,the SOD activity and MDA content in brain tissue were determined.The DJ-1protein level was determined by Western blotting.RESULTS KAE 10 and 30 mg·kg-1could significantly improve cognitive impairment and prehensile traction ability(P<0.01)induced by chronic cerebral ischemia in rats.The results of the pathological analysis also suggested that KAE could ameliorate the pathological damage induced by chronic cerebral ischemia.In addition,KAE 30 mg·kg-1significantly increased the activity of SOD(P<0.05),but had no effect on the content of MDA in rat brain tissue.Western-blotting confirmed that KAE 10 and30 mg·kg-1could increase the expression of anti-oxidation proteins DJ-1 in hippocampus(P<0.01).CONCLUSION KAE may attenuate the chronic cerebral ischemic injury in rats. | ZHANG Jun CHENG Xiao YANG Huan YANG Yin-lin ZHAO Ting-kun WANG Qi WANG Yue-hua DU Guan-hua | 2016 | 中国药理学与毒理学杂志2016,30,10: | 3 |

| 19 | An Improved Filter of Progressive TIN Densification for LiD AR Point Cloud Data显示文摘Based on the classic filter of progressive triangulated irregular network(TIN) densification, an improved filter is proposed in this paper. In this method, we divide ground points into grids with certain size and select the lowest points in the grids to reconstruct TIN in the process of iteration. Compared with the classic filter of progressive TIN densification(PTD), the improved method can filter out attached objects, avoid the interference of low objects and obtain relatively smooth bare-earth. In addition, this proposed filter can reduce memory requirements and be more efficient in processing huge data volume. | 20 | Complex Precipitation Mechanism of Ti-Nb-V Microalloyed Bainitic Base High Strength Steel显示文摘The addition of high Ti(>0.1%) in microalloyed bainitic high strength steel was designed, and the precipitation morphology of steels with different Ti, Nb, and V contents was studied by utilizing transmission electron microscopy(TEM). Based on the classical nucleation-crystal growth theory and the Johnson-Mehl-Avrami equation, the precipitation thermodynamic and kinetic model of second phase particles in austenite was established in the form of(Nbx,Vy,Tiz)C, and the complex precipitation mechanism of second phase particles was emphatically studied. The experimental results show that the complex precipitation particles could be divided into two categories: the coarser particles with about 100 nm grain size and the independent complex precipitation particles in the form of(Nb,V,Ti)C with 35-50 nm grain size. The latter has a better precipitation strengthening effect, and the calculated PTT curve shows a typical 'C' shape. When the deformed storage energy is 3 820 J·mol^-1, the fastest precipitation temperature of calculated PTT curve is 925℃, and the calculated result is essentially consistent with experimental values.
