| 1 | Homogenized Daily Relative Humidity Series in China during 1960?2017显示文摘Surface relative humidity(RH)is a key element for weather and climate monitoring and research.However,RH is not as commonly applied in studying climate change,partly because the observation series of RH are prone to inhomogeneous biases due to non-climate changes in the observation system.A homogenized dataset of daily RH series from 746 stations in Chinese mainland for the period 1960–2017,ChinaRHv1.0,has been developed.Most(685 or 91.82%of the total)station time series were inhomogeneous with one or more break points.The major breakpoints occurred in the early 2000s for many stations,especially in the humid and semi-humid zones,due to the implementation of automated observation across the country.The inhomogeneous biases in the early manual records before this change are positive relative to the recent automatic records,for most of the biased station series.There are more break points detected by using the MASH(Multiple Analysis of Series for Homogenization)method,with biases mainly around?0.5%and 0.5%.These inhomogeneous biases are adjusted with reference to the most recent observations for each station.Based on the adjusted observations,the regional mean RH series of China shows little long-term trend during 1960–2017[0.006%(10 yr)^?1],contrasting with a false decreasing trend[?0.414%(10 yr)?1]in the raw data.It is notable that ERA5 reanalysis data match closely with the interannual variations of the raw RH series in China,including the jump in the early 2000s,raising a caveat for its application in studying climate change in the region. | Zhen LI Zhongwei YAN Yani ZHU Nicolas FREYCHET Simon TETT | 2020 | Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2020,37,4: | 7 |
| 2 | Serum levels of suppressor of cytokine signaling 3 and signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 in childhood atopic dermatitis显示文摘Suppressor of cytokine signaling 3 (SOCS3) proteins,a member of SOCS family,are predominantly expressed in Th2 cells,and it has an important role in regulating the onset and maintenance of Th2-mediated allergic immune disease.1 SOCS can translocate from cytoplasm to nucleus when the level in cytoplasm increases,and localize to cell membrane where it binds to receptors.However,to our knowledge,there has been no documentation whether SOCS can transport to the intercellular space or circulating body fluids,let alone the subsequent biological significance.Signal transducer and activator of transcription (STAT) proteins,a group of transcription factor,are critical for mediating signals during Th1,Th2,Treg,and Th17 differentiation.Recent study demonstrated that STAT3 is not only required for the differentiation of Th17,IL-6-activated STAT3 promotes Maf expression,a factor required for Th2 differentiation and production of IL-4.Furthermore,STAT3 was activated throughout Th2 cell differentiation and was indispensable for Th2 cytokine production and transcription factor expression.2 SOCS proteins were recognized to negatively regulate the JAK/STAT signaling pathway through the common SH2 domain.Since binding of the SH2 domain of SOCS3 is relatively specific to receptors for STAT3-activating cytokines,such as IL-6,granulocyte-colony stimulating factor,leptin,and leukemia inhibitory factor,the suppressive effect of SOCS3 has been shown to be relatively restricted to STAT3.3 In this report we demonstrate that the serum levels of SOCS3 and STAT3 were increased in childhood atopic dermatitis (AD) compared with controls.Furthermore,STAT3 is significantly positively correlated with Scoring Atopic Dermatitis (SCORAD) index. | Lyu Yani Zhu Lili Qi Ruiqun Xu Jing Di Zhenghong Chen Hongduo Gao Xinghua | 2014 | Chinese Medical Journal2014,,12: | 4 |

| 5 | Marsdenia tenacissima injection induces the apoptosis of prostate cancer by regulating the AKT/GSK3β/STAT3 signaling axis显示文摘Marsdenia tenacissima injection,a standard Marsdenia tenacissima extract(MTE),has been approved as an adjuvant therapeutic agent for various cancers.Our previous study showed that MTE inhibited the proliferation and metastasis of prostate cancer(PCa)cells.However,the underlying mechanisms and active ingredients of MTE against PCa were not completely understood.This study revealed that MTE induced significant decreases in cell viability and clonal growth in PCa cells.In addition,MTE induced the apoptosis of DU145 cells by reducing the mitochondrial membrane potential and increasing the expression of Cleaved Caspase 3/7,Cyt c,and Bax.In vivo,DU145 xenografted NOD-SCID mice treated with MTE showed significantly decreased tumor size.TUNEL staining and Western blot confirmed the pro-apoptotic effects of MTE.Network pharmacology analysis collected 196 ingredients of MTE linked to 655 potential targets,and 709 PCa-associated targets were retrieved,from which 149 overlapped targets were screened out.Pathway enrichment analysis showed that the HIF-1,PI3K-AKT,and ErbB signaling pathways were closely related to tumor apoptosis.Western blot results confirmed that MTE increased the expression of p-AKT^(Ser473) and p-GSK3β^(Ser9),and decreased the expression of p-STAT3^(Tyr705) in vitro and in vivo.A total of 13 compounds in MTE were identified by HPLC-CAD-QTOF-MS/MS and UPLCQTOF-MS/MS.Molecular docking analysis indicated that six compounds may interact with AKT,GSK3β,and STAT3.In conclusion,MTE induces the endogenous mitochondrial apoptosis of PCa by regulating the AKT/GSK3β/STAT3 signaling axis,resulting in inhibition of PCa growth in vitro and in vivo. | LI Xiaolan HE Songhua LIANG Wei ZHANG Weiquan CHEN Xin LI Qiaofeng YANG Xin LIU Yanying ZHU Dan LI Li LIU Buming SU Zhiheng CHEN Jie GUO Hongwei | 2023 | Chinese Journal of Natural Medicines2023,21,2: | 2 |
| 6 | Towards Fast and Efficient Algorithm for Learning Bayesian Network显示文摘Learning Bayesian network structure is one of the most exciting challenges in machine learning. Discovering a correct skeleton of a directed acyclic graph(DAG) is the foundation for dependency analysis algorithms for this problem. Considering the unreliability of high order condition independence(CI) tests, and to improve the efficiency of a dependency analysis algorithm, the key steps are to use few numbers of CI tests and reduce the sizes of conditioning sets as much as possible. Based on these reasons and inspired by the algorithm PC, we present an algorithm, named fast and efficient PC(FEPC), for learning the adjacent neighbourhood of every variable. FEPC implements the CI tests by three kinds of orders, which reduces the high order CI tests significantly. Compared with current algorithm proposals, the experiment results show that FEPC has better accuracy with fewer numbers of condition independence tests and smaller size of conditioning sets. | 8 | Antibacterial Effects of Chinese Herbal Medicines against Streptococcus iniae in Oreochromis niloticus显示文摘In this study,the antibacterial effects of Chinese herbal medicines against Streptococcus iniae in Oreochromis niloticus were investigated by drug sensitivity test. The results indicated that Streptococcus iniae was extremely sensitive to Galla Chinensis,Fructus Hippophae and Fructus Mume,highly sensitive to Sappan Lignum,Pericarpium Granati,Folium Eucalypti and Radix Scutellariae,moderately sensitive to Rhizoma Coptidis,Radix et Rhizoma Rhei,Flos Caryophyllata,Cortex phellodendri and Rabdosia serra( Maxim.) Hara,and insensitive to Herba Portulacae,Herba Houttuyniae,Polygonum hydropiper L.,Herba Menthae,Radix Glycyrrhizae,Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae,Herba Andrographitis and Rhizoma Acori Tatarinowii. Chinese medicinal herbs which Streptococcus iniae was extremely sensitive or moderately sensitive to were selected and prepared into three Chinese herbal medicine formulae for medicated bath of Oreochromis niloticus infected artificially with Streptococcus iniae. The results showed that medicated bath elicited therapeutic effects on infected Oreochromis niloticus. | 17 | Associations between Lesion Locations and Stroke Recurrence in Survivors of First-ever Ischemic Stroke:A Prospective Cohort Study显示文摘Summary:Several studies have indicated that stroke survivors with multiple lesions or with larger lesion volumes have a higher risk of stroke recurrence.However,the relationship between lesion locations and stroke recurrence is unclear.We conducted a prospective cohort study of first-ever ischemic stroke survivors who were consecutively enrolled from January 2010 to December 2015.Stroke recurrence was assessed every 3 months after post-discharge via telephone interviews by trained interviewers.Lesion locations were obtained from hospital-based MRI or CT scans and classified using two classification systems that were based on cerebral hemisphere or vascular territory and brain anatomical structures.Flexible parametric survival models using the proportional hazards scale(PH model)were used to analyze the time-to-event data.Among 633 survivors,63.51%(n-402)had anterior circulation ischemia(ACI),and morc than half of all ACIs occurred in the subcortex.After a median follow-up of 2.5 years,117(18.48%)survivors developed a recurrent stroke.The results of the multivariate PH model showed that survivors with non-brain lesions were at higher risk of recurrence than those with right-side lesions(HR,2.79;95%CI,1.53,5.08;P-0.001).There was no increase in risk among survivors with left-side lesions(HR,0.97;95%CI,0.53,1.75;P=0.914)or both-side lesions(HR,1.24;95%CI,0.75,2.07;P-0.401)compared to those with right-side lesions.Additionally,there were no associations between stroke ecurrence and lesion locations that were classified based on vascular territory and brain anatomical structures.It was concluded that first-ever ischemic stroke survivors with non-brain lesion had higher recurrence risk than those with right-side lesion,although no significant associations were found when the lesion locations were classified by vascular territory and brain anatomical structures. | Pe-jing YANI Li-sha HOU Mi-er LI Zhen-xing LU Feng-yu ZHAN Meng-dong RAN Ji-je LI Lu ZHANG Rong YANG Mu-ke ZHOU Cai-rong ZHU | 2020 | Current Medical Science2020,40,4: | 1 |
| 18 | Development of an Integrated Global Land Surface Dataset from 1901 to 2018显示文摘We developed an integrated global land surface dataset(IGLD)at the National Meteorological Information Center of China Meteorological Administration.The IGLD consists of hourly data for 75 variables from five data sources.It contains not only the most widely used variables(e.g.,pressure,temperature,dew-point temperature,and precipitation),but also visibility,cloud cover,snow depth,and so on.A hierarchy of data sources was created to identify duplicate records.The records located higher in the hierarchy were adopted preferentially in the IGLD.A comprehensive quality control procedure including extreme value test,internal consistency check,and spatiotemporal consistency check,was applied to the IGLD.The IGLD consists of land surface observations at more than 20,000 global sites from 1901 to 2018,of which about 17,000 stations are currently active.The number of global observatories generally increased over time,except for the 1960 s to 1970 s.It increased from about 2300 in 1951 to 17,000 in 2018.The observations over America,Europe,and eastern Asia always showed a high temporal integrity and dense spatial coverage,whereas measurements were sparser in South America,Africa,Russia,and the Mediterranean regions.In general,the standard and intermediate standard times for observation suggested by the World Meteorological Organization(WMO)were followed globally,except in Australia,where there were few data measured on the WMO schedule.The IGLD has been used in the China’s first generation global atmospheric reanalysis product(CRA)and the global daily precipitation dataset. | Hui JIANG Wenhui XU Su YANG Yani ZHU Zijiang ZHOU Jie LIAO | 2021 | Journal of Meteorological Research2021,35,5: | 1 |
| 19 | Study on conductance of supersaturated chloride microdroplets显示文摘By using the measuring system previously designed by the authors, the conductance of KCl, NaCl and NH4Cl microdroplets is obtained in the whole measuring RH range, especially in the supersaturation region, which cannot be acquired from the bulk solutions and fills the gap of lack of experimental data of conductance under the supersaturated state. The ERH and DRH of these three kinds of microdroplets observed from a microscope are 80.5% and 95.4% (KCl), 75.7% and 93.3% (NaCl), and 69.9% and 96.6% (NH4Cl), respectively. | 20 | Mechanism investigation and catalyst screening of high-temperature reverse water gas shift reaction显示文摘Reverse water gas shift(RWGS)catalysis,a prominent technology for converting CO2 to CO,is emerging to meet the growing demand of global environment.However,the fundamental understanding of the reaction mechanism is hindered by the complex nature of the reaction.Herein,microkinetic modeling of RWGS on different metals(i.e.,Co,Ru,Fe,Ni,Cu,Rh,Pd,and Pt)was performed based on the DFT results to provide the mechanistic insights and achieve the catalyst screening.Adsorption energies of the carbon-based species and the oxygen-based species can be correlated to the adsorption energy of carbon and oxygen,respectively.Moreover,oxygen adsorption energy is an excellent descriptor for the barrier of CO2 and CO direct dissociation and the difference in reaction barrier between CO2(or CO)dissociation and hydrogenation.The reaction mechanism varies on various metals.Direct CO2 dissociation is the dominating route on Co,Fe,Ru,Rh,Cu,and Ni,while it competes with the COOH-mediated path on Pt and Pd surface.The eights metals can be divided into two groups based on the degree of rate control analysis for CO production,where CO–O bond cleavage is rate relevant on Pt,Pd,and Cu,and OH–H binding is rate-controlling on Co,Fe,Ru,Ni,and Rh.Both CO-direct dissociation and hydrogen-assisted route to CH4 contribute to the methane formation on Co,Fe,Pt,Pd,Ru,and Rh,despite the significant barrier difference between the two routes.Besides,the specific rate-relevant transition states and intermediates are suggested for methane formation,and thus,the selectivity can be tuned by adjusting the energy.The descriptor(C-and O-formation energy)based microkinetic modeling proposed that the activity trend is Rh~Ni>Pt~Pd>Cu>Co>Ru>Fe,where Fe,Co,Ru,and Ni tends to be oxidized.The predicted activity trend is well consistent with those obtained experimentally.The interpolation concept of adsorption energy was used to identify bimetallic materials for highly active catalysts for RWGS. | Yanying Qi Yi-An Zhu De Chen | 2020 | Green Chemical Engineering2020,1,2: | 1 |
