1Measurement of air exchange rates in different indoor environments using continuous CO_2 sensors显示文摘A new air exchange rate(AER) monitoring method using continuous CO 2 sensors was developed and validated through both laboratory experiments and field studies.Controlled laboratory simulation tests were conducted in a 1-m 3 environmental chamber at different AERs(0.1-10.0 hr 1).AERs were determined using the decay method based on box model assumptions.Field tests were conducted in classrooms,dormitories,meeting rooms and apartments during 2-5 weekdays using CO 2 sensors coupled with data loggers.Indoor temperature,relative humidity(RH),and CO 2 concentrations were continuously monitored while outdoor parameters combined with on-site climate conditions were recorded.Statistical results indicated that good laboratory performance was achieved:duplicate precision was within 10%,and the measured AERs were 90%-120% of the real AERs.Average AERs were 1.22,1.37,1.10,1.91 and 0.73 hr 1 in dormitories,air-conditioned classrooms,classrooms with an air circulation cooling system,reading rooms,and meeting rooms,respectively.In an elderly particulate matter exposure study,all the homes had AER values ranging from 0.29 to 3.46 hr 1 in fall,and 0.12 to 1.39 hr 1 in winter with a median AER of 1.15.Yan You Can Niu Jian Zhou Yating Liu Zhipeng Bai Jiefeng Zhang Fei He Nan Zhang 2012Journal of Environmental Sciences2012,24,4:2
2Maternal Bisphenol B Exposure and Mammary Gland Development of Offspring:A Time-Series Analysis显示文摘Breast cancer incidence has increased and become the world’s most prevalent cancer,which is related to abnormal development of mammary glands and thought to be influenced by environment endocrine disruptors such as bisphenol A(BPA).However,whether its substitution,bisphenol B(BPB),has similar effects remains a concern.In the present study,a maternal exposure model of ICR mice combined time-series RNA-seq analysis was established to explore the underlying correlation among maternal BPB exposure(300μg/kg body weight),mammary gland development,and long-term breast health in offspring.The results showed that BPB exposure disrupted hormonal homeostasis of the female offspring but did not affect the branch development of mammary glands in a time-dependent manner.However,at postnatal day 90(PND90),BPB exposure resulted in duct dilatation,lobular hyperplasia,and inflammatory cell infiltration and increased the number of hormone receptor-expressing(HR+)luminal cells in offspring.Further,the differentially expressed genes in time-series analysis of RNA-seq for mammary glands of the female offspring were enriched in the morphogenesis of branching structures,branching epithelium,and branching morphogenesis of epithelial tubes,which are always considered gland development.Interestingly,the results of RNA-seq also suggested that progesterone receptor(Pgr)mRNA expression in the BPB group was elevated at PND90,and breast cancer related genes such as GATA binding protein 3(Gata3)and epidermal growth factor receptor(Egfr)were also altered.These findings suggested that maternal BPB exposure did not accelerate mammary gland development or lead to obvious morphological anomalies of offspring,but it induced pathological changes and altered cancer related gene expression in adult offspring breast.Xiaotong Ji Peiyun Jiang Yating Li Lihong Su Huifeng Yue Nan Sang 2023Environment & Health2023,1,4:0

4Long noncoding RNA LOC646029 functions as a ceRNA to suppress ovarian cancer progression through the miR-627-3p/SPRED1 axis显示文摘Long noncoding RNAs(lncRNAs)play a crucial regulatory role in the development and progression of multiple cancers.However,the potential mechanism by which lncRNAs affect the recurrence and metastasis of ovarian cancer remains unclear.In the current study,the lncRNA LOC646029 was markedly downregulated in metastatic ovarian tumors compared with primary tumors.Gain-and loss-of-function assays demonstrated that LOC646029 inhibits the proliferation,invasiveness,and metastasis of ovarian cancer cells in vivo and in vitro.Moreover,the downregulation of LOC646029 in metastatic ovarian tumors was strongly correlated with poor prognosis.Mechanistically,LOC646029 served as a miR-627-3p sponge to promote the expression of Sprouty-related EVH1 domain-containing protein 1,which is necessary for suppressing tumor metastasis and inhibiting KRAS signaling.Collectively,our results demonstrated that LOC646029 is involved in the progression and metastasis of ovarian cancer,which may be a potential prognostic biomarker.Pengfei Zhao Yating Wang Xiao Yu Yabing Nan Shi Liu Bin Li Zhumei Cui Zhihua Liu 2023Frontiers of Medicine2023,17,5:0
5FvWRKY50 is an important gene that regulates both vegetative growth and reproductive growth in strawberry显示文摘The WRKY transcription factors play important roles in plant growth and resistance,but only a few members have been identified in strawberry.Here we identified a WRKY transcription factor,FvWRKY50,in diploid strawberry which played essential roles in strawberry vegetative growth,and reproductive growth.Knocking out FvWRKY50 by genome editing accelerated flowering time and leaf senescence but delayed anthocyanin accumulation in fruit.Further analysis showed that FvWRKY50 acted as a transcriptional repressor to negatively regulate the expression of flowering-and leaf senescence-related genes,including FvFT2,FvCO,FvFT3,and FvSAUR36.Notably,FvWRKY50 directly upregulated the expression of FvCHI and FvDFR by binding their promoter under normal conditions,but at low temperature FvWRKY50 was phosphorylated by FvMAPK3 and then induced protein degradation by ubiquitination,delaying anthocyanin accumulation.In addition,the homozygous mutant of FvWRKY50 was smaller while the biallelic mutant showed normal size.These new findings provide important clues for us to further reveal the regulatory mechanisms of strawberry growth and fruit ripening.Yating Chen Liping Liu Qianqian Feng Chuang Liu Yujuan Bao Nan Zhang Ronghui Sun Zhaonan Yin Chuanfei Zhong Yuanhua Wang Qian Li Bingbing Li 2023Horticulture Research2023,10,7:0
