| 1 | Approximate Iteration Detection and Precoding in Massive MIMO显示文摘Massive multiple-input multiple-output provides improved energy efficiency and spectral efficiency in 5 G. However it requires large-scale matrix computation with tremendous complexity, especially for data detection and precoding. Recently, many detection and precoding methods were proposed using approximate iteration methods, which meet the demand of precision with low complexity. In this paper, we compare these approximate iteration methods in precision and complexity, and then improve these methods with iteration refinement at the cost of little complexity and no extra hardware resource. By derivation, our proposal is a combination of three approximate iteration methods in essence and provides remarkable precision improvement on desired vectors. The results show that our proposal provides 27%-83% normalized mean-squared error improvement of the detection symbol vector and precoding symbol vector. Moreover, we find the bit-error rate is mainly controlled by soft-input soft-output Viterbi decoding when using approximate iteration methods. Further, only considering the effect on soft-input soft-output Viterbi decoding, the simulation results show that using a rough estimation for the filter matrix of minimum mean square error detection to calculating log-likelihood ratio could provideenough good bit-error rate performance, especially when the ratio of base station antennas number and the users number is not too large. | Chuan Tang Yerong Tao Yancang Chen Cang Liu Luechao Yuan Zuocheng Xing | 2018 | China Communications2018,15,5: | 5 |

| 4 | Effect of Konjac Food on Blood Glucose Level in Patients with Diabetes显示文摘Seventy-two type II diabetic subjects were given Konjac food for 65 days. The data analyzed by multiple F test indicate that the fasting blood glucose (FBG) and the 2-h postprandial blood glucose (PBG) on the 30th and the 65th days after the food was ingested were significantly reduced (P = 0.001, P < 0.001, respectively), as was the glycosylated hemoglobin level at the end of the trial (P < 0.05). The final FBG and PBG of the subjects with initial FBG-O >200 mg% decreased on the average by 51.8 and 84.6 mg%. respectively; those with FBG-0 150-200 mg% decreased by 24.1 and 68.7 mg%; and those with FBG-O < 150 mg% decreased by 4.8 and 21.4 mg%. No significant changes in blood lipid indexes were observed, except that the triglycer-ide values of subjects with hypertriglyceridemia (>200 mg%) significantly decreased by 118.7 mg%. It was concluded that Konjac food is very useful in the prevention and treatment of hyperglycemia. (C)1990 Academic Press. | 5 | New Evidence for Improving Omega Estimation by Explicitly Considering Horizontal Divergence显示文摘It is well known that the quasi-geostrophic(QG) omega equation with only two contributors respectively associated with vorticity advection(VA) and temperature advection is derived for midlatitude synoptic-scale systems only. Based on reliable reanalysis data, new evidence revealed by cyclonic and anticyclonic cases indicates that forecasters might sometimes experience problems by paying too much attention to the 500-hPa VA when estimating vertical motions not only in subtropical systems but also in systems meeting all the assumptions of the QG omega equation. | 6 | Efficient closed-form solution for target localization using TDOA measurements in the presence of sensor position errors显示文摘An efficient solution for locating a target was proposed, which by using time difference of arrival(TDOA) measurements in the presence of random sensor position errors to increase the accuracy of estimation. The cause of position estimation errors in two-stage weighted least squares(TSWLS) method is analyzed to develop a simple and effective method for improving the localization performance. Specifically, the reference sensor is selected again and the coordinate system is rotated according to preliminary estimated target position by using TSWLS method, and the final position estimation of the target is obtained by using weighted least squares(WLS). The proposed approach exhibits a closed-form and is as efficient as TSWLS method. | 7 | An effective time-domain microwave image reconstruction algorithm for loss-y layered media utilizing the ADI-FDTD method显示文摘The finite-difference time-domain( FDTD) method is extensively applied in dealing with time-domain microwave imaging( MWI) problems since it is robust,fast,simple to implement. However,the FDTD method is an explicit time-stepping technique,due to the constraint of the Courant-Friedrich-Levy( CFL) stability condition,the time step needs to be as small as the size of the fine cells,which brings a major increase in computational costs. A fast nonlinear electromagnetic reconstruction algorithm for layered loss-y media by using the alternating-direction implicit finite-difference time-domain( ADI-FDTD) method is proposed. This algorithm is based on an adjoint method,and the nonlinear iterations apply the ADI-FDTD method to calculate the forward and adjoint field,and adopt the Polak,Ribiere,Polyar conjugate-gradient( PRP-CG) optimization scheme. By comparing the simulation results based on ADI-FDTD method and the FDTD method,the validity and efficiency of the proposed algorithm have been proved. | 8 | Improving the Nowcasting of Strong Convection by Assimilating Both Wind and Reflectivity Observations of Phased Array Radar:A Case Study显示文摘With the advent of the phased array radar(PAR)technology,it is possible to capture the development and evolution of convective systems in a much shorter time interval and with higher spatial resolution than via traditional Doppler radar.Research on the assimilation of PAR observations in numerical weather prediction models is still in its infancy in China.In this paper,the impact of assimilating PAR data on model forecasts was investigated by a case study of a local heavy rainfall event that occurred over Foshan city of Guangdong Province on 26 August 2020,via a series of sensitivity experiments.Both the retrieved three-dimensional wind and hydrometeor fields were assimilated through the nudging method with the Tropical Regional Assimilation Model for South China Sea_Rapid Update Cycle_1km(TRAMS_RUC_1km).The temperature and moisture fields were also adjusted accordingly.The results show that significant improvements are made in the experiments with latent heat nudging and adjustment of the water vapor field,which implies the importance of thermodynamic balance in the initialization of the convective system and highlights the need to assimilate PAR radar observations in a continuous manner to maximize the impact of the data.Sensitivity tests also indicate that the relaxation time should be less than 5 min.In general,for this case,the assimilation of PAR data can significantly improve the nowcasting skill of the regional heavy precipitation.This study is the first step towards operational PAR data assimilation in numerical weather prediction in southern China. | Xiaoxia LIN Yerong FENG Daosheng XU Yuntao JIAN Fei HUANG Jincan HUANG | 2022 | Journal of Meteorological Research2022,36,1: | 1 |
| 9 | Mold deformation in soft UV-nanoimprint lithography显示文摘UV-nanoimprint lithography (UV-NIL) using a soft mold is a promising technique with low cost and high throughput for producing the submicron scale large-area patterns. However, the deformations of the soft mold during imprinting process which can cause serious consequences have to be understood for the practical application of the process. This paper investigated the deformation of the soft mold by theoretical analyses, numerical simulations, and experimental studies. We simulated the mold deformation using a simplified model and finite element method. The simulation and the related experimental results agree well with each other. Through the investigation, the mechanism and affected factors of the mold deformation are revealed, and some useful conclusions have been achieved. | 11 | A numerical simulation of latent heating within Typhoon Molave显示文摘The weather research and forecasting(WRF) model is a new generation mesoscale numerical model with a fine grid resolution(2 km), making it ideal to simulate the macro-and micro-physical processes and latent heating within Typhoon Molave(2009). Simulations based on a single-moment, six-class microphysical scheme are shown to be reasonable, following verification of results for the typhoon track, wind intensity, precipitation pattern, as well as inner-core thermodynamic and dynamic structures. After calculating latent heating rate, it is concluded that the total latent heat is mainly derived from condensation below the zero degree isotherm, and from deposition above this isotherm. It is revealed that cloud microphysical processes related to graupel are the most important contributors to the total latent heat. Other important latent heat contributors in the simulated Typhoon Molave are condensation of cloud water, deposition of cloud ice, deposition of snow, initiation of cloud ice crystals, deposition of graupel, accretion of cloud water by graupel, evaporation of cloud water and rainwater,sublimation of snow, sublimation of graupel, melting of graupel, and sublimation of cloud ice. There were five notable pollution processes in this month,in which four pollution processes were related to typhoon. By using meso-scale meteorological model WRF,meteorological characteristics of two pollution processes induced by tropical cyclone were contrasted and analyzed. Results showed that O3and PM10concentrations significantly increased in PRD region during Typhoon Haikui period( 7-8 August),and other pollutant concentrations were also high.
