1Experimental long-distance quantum secure direct communication显示文摘Quantum secure direct communication(QSDC) is an important quantum communication branch, which realizes the secure information transmission directly without encryption and decryption processes.Recently, two table-top experiments have demonstrated the principle of QSDC. Here, we report the first long-distance QSDC experiment, including the security test, information encoding, fiber transmission and decoding. After the fiber transmission of 0.5 km, quantum state fidelities of the two polarization entangled Bell states are 91% and 88%, respectively, which are used for information coding. We theoretically analyze the performance of the QSDC system based on current optical communication technologies,showing that QSDC over fiber links of several tens kilometers could be expected. 2Occurrence and Fate of Antibiotics in the Aqueous Environment and Their Removal by Constructed Wetlands in China: A review显示文摘Overuse of antibiotics has become a serious ecological problem worldwide.There is growing concern that antibiotics are losing their effectiveness due to an increased antibiotic resistance in bacteria.During the last twenty years,consumption of antibiotics has increased rapidly in China,which has been cited as one of the world's worst abusers of antibiotics.This review summarizes the current state of antibiotic contamination in China's three major rivers(the Yangtze River,Yellow River,and Pearl River) and illustrates the occurrence and fate of antibiotics in conventional municipal wastewater treatment plants(WWTPs).The analytical data indicate that traditional WWTPs cannot completely remove these concerned pharmaceuticals,as seen in the large difference between the distribution coefficient(K_d) and the uneven removal efficiency of various types of antibiotics.Although constructed wetlands(CWs)offer a potential way to remove these antibiotics from water supplies,knowledge of their mechanisms is limited.There are four main factors affecting the performance of CWs used for the treatment of antibiotics in water supplies,the types and configurations of CWs,hydraulic load rates,substrates,and plants and microorganisms.Further researches focusing on these factors are needed to improve the removal efficiency of antibiotics in CWs.GUAN Yidong WANG Bo GAO Yongxia LIU Wen ZHAO Xiaoli HUANG Xiaofeng YU Jianghuai 2017Pedosphere2017,27,1:22
3Hybrid waveguide scheme for silicon-based quantum photonic circuits with quantum light sources显示文摘We propose a hybrid silicon waveguide scheme to avoid the impact of noise photons induced by pump lights in application scenarios of quantum photonic circuits with quantum light sources.The scheme is composed of strip waveguide and shallow-ridge waveguide structures.It utilizes the difference of biphoton spectra generated by spontaneous four-wave mixing(SFWM)in these two waveguides.By proper pumping setting and signal/idler wavelength selection,the generation of desired photon pairs is confined in the strip waveguide.The impact of noise photons generated by SFWM in the shallow-ridge waveguide can be avoided.Hence,the shallowridge waveguide could be used to realize various linear operation devices for pump light and quantum state manipulations.The feasibility of this scheme is verified by theoretical analysis and a primary experiment.Two applications are proposed and analyzed,showing its great potential in silicon-based quantum photonic circuits.LINGJIE YU CHENZHI YUAN RENDUO QI YIDONG HUANG WEI ZHANG 2020Photonics Research2020,8,3:3
4Simultaneous diffusion of cation and anion to access N,S cocoordinated Bi-sites for enhanced CO_(2) electroreduction显示文摘Developing highly active single-atom sites catalysts for electrochemical reduction of CO_(2) is an effective and environmental-friendly strategy to promote carbon-neutral energy cycle and ameliorate global climate issues.Herein,we develop an atomically dispersed N,S co-coordinated bismuth atom sites catalyst(Bi-SAs-NS/C)via a cation and anion simultaneous diffusion strategy for electrocatalytic CO_(2) reduction.In this strategy,the bonded Bi cation and S anion are simultaneously diffused into the nitrogen-doped carbon layer in the form of Bi2S3.Then Bi is captured by the abundant N-rich vacancies and S is bonded with carbons.support at high temperature,formed the N,S co-coordinated Bi sites.Benefiting from the simultaneous diffusion of Bi and S,different electronegative N and S can be effectively co-coordinated with Bi,forming the uniform Bi-N_(3)S/C sites.The synthesized.Bi-SAs-NS/C exhibits a high selectivity towards CO with over 88%Faradaic efficiency in a wide potential range,and achieves a maximum FE_(CO)of 98.3%at-0.8 V vs.RHE with a current density of 10.24 mA·cm^(-2),which can keep constant with negligible degradation in 24 h continuous electrolysis.Experimental results and theoretical calculations reveal that the significantly improved catalytic performance of Bi-SAs-NS/C than Bi-SAs-N/C is ascribed to the replacement of one coordinated-N with low electronegative S in Bi-N_(4)C center,which can greatly reduce the energy barrier of the intermediate formation in rate-limiting step and increase the reaction kinetics.This work provides an effective strategy for rationally designing highly active single-atom sites;catalysts for efficient electrocatalysis with optimized electronic structure.Zhiyuan Wang Chun Wang Yidong Hu Shuai Yang Jia Yang Wenxing Chen Huang Zhou Fangyao Zhou Lingxiao Wang Junyi Du Yafei Li Yuen Wu 2021Nano Research2021,14,8:2
5Vortex Smith-Purcell radiation generation with holographic grating显示文摘Smith–Purcell radiation(SPR)is the electromagnetic wave generated by free electrons passing above a diffraction grating,and it has played an important role in free-electron light sources and particle accelerators.Orbital angular momentum(OAM)is a new degree of freedom that can significantly promote the capacity of information carried by an electro-magnetic beam.In this paper,we propose an integrable method for generating vortex Smith–Purcell radiation(VSPR),namely,SPR carrying OAM,by having free-electron bunches pass on planar holographic gratings.VSPRs generated by different electron energies,with different topological charges of the OAM,radiation angles,and frequencies are demonstrated numerically.It is also found that,for high-order radiation,the topological charge of the OAM wave will be multiplied by the radiation order.This work introduces a new way to generate SPR with OAM and provides a method to achieve an integratable and tunable free-electron OAM wave source at different frequency regions.MENGXUAN WANG FANG LIU YUECHAI LIN KAIYU CUI XUE FENG WEI ZHANG YIDONG HUANG 2020Photonics Research2020,8,8:2

8Generating heralded single photons with a switchable orbital angular momentum mode显示文摘The orbital angular momentum(OAM) carried by photons defines an infinitely dimensional discrete Hilbert space. With OAM modes, high-dimensional quantum states can be achieved for quantum communication and cryptography. Here we demonstrate a heralded single-photon source with a switchable OAM mode, which consists of a heralded single-photon source and an integrated OAM emitter as the mode converter. As the first step, the heralded single-photon source is based on the dispersion-shifted fiber. 19Nonsuspended optomechanical crystal cavities using As_(2)S_(3) chalcogenide glass显示文摘An optomechanical crystal cavity with nonsuspended structure using As_(2)S_(3) material is proposed. The principle of mode confinement in the nonsuspended cavity is analyzed, and two different types of optical and acoustic defect modes are calculated through appropriate design of the cavity structure. An optomechanical coupling rate of 82.3 kHz is obtained in the proposed cavity, and the designed acoustic frequency is 3.44 GHz.
