| 1 | Analysis and Recommendations for the Adaptability of China’s Power System Security and Stability Relevant Standards显示文摘In developing power grids,setting standards is critical to its success.The development of China’s power industry has proposed new requirements for power systems to ensure secure and stable operations.The principal standards for the security and stability of China’s current power systems are analyzed in terms of operational control,generator-grid coordination and simulation.The shortcomings are pointed out and the directions of future development are discussed.In the end,the study highlighted the following key areas that require further research and improvement:the evaluation criteria of power system security and stability should be improved to ensure the secure and stable operation of China’s power systems;the operational control standards should be constantly enhanced to increase the reliability and flexibility of operational control strategies;generatorgrid coordination standards should be upgraded to improve the coordination between the generator control protection system and the grid;and the simulation methodology should be standardized in future power system security and stability research. | Yinbiao Shu Yong Tang | 2017 | CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2017,3,4: | 14 |

| 4 | Analysis of Low Frequency Oscillation and Source Location in Power Systems显示文摘The major problem in current online diagnosis and analysis for power system oscillation is mainly concerned with finding the oscillation source in a fast and correct way using the data collected by the Wide Area Measurement System(WAMS).This paper for the first time proposes a scheme of cut set energy based on WAMS.Independent of accurate parameters,the scheme can make full use of WAMS data based on cut set energy construction and fast calculation to locate the source during oscillation.Afterwards,a scheme of torque decomposition is proposed,based on which the controller’s torque can be divided into damping torque and synchronous torque by calculation through WAMS data,and this paper puts forward the abnormal response and simulation models calibration of influential controllers.Analysis of an oscillation case shows how the cut set energy scheme and the torque decomposition scheme are applied in a real-world power system,and the schemes are proven to be reliable and practical in identifying and locating oscillation sources. | Yinbiao Shu Xiaoxin Zhou Wenfeng Li | 2018 | CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2018,4,1: | 11 |
| 5 | Research and application of UHV power transmission in China显示文摘The power demand increases rapidly in China;however,the areas of huge power demands are of long distance from most areas of abundant energy resource in the country.Therefore,China put in great effort to develop ultrahigh voltage(UHV)power transmission systems to optimise its energy allocation.This includes(i)systematically developing key technologies such as overvoltage suppression,external insulation design,and electromagnetic environment control,and(ii)developing key equipment such as UHV alternative current(UHVAC)transformers,circuit breakers,and series compensated equipment,and UHV direct current(UHVDC)converter transformers,smoothing reactors,converter valves,and DC transmission control and protection systems.Eight AC UHV projects and 11 DC UHV projects have been built in China,which play an important role in the optimal allocation of energy.Plus there are one more UHVAC and three more UHVDC transmission projects in construction,while UHVAC gas-insulated lines will be applied in the UHVAC line crossover the Yangtze River and the±1100 kV UHVDC power transmission technology is in development.Here,the development and application of UHV power transmission technologies in China are described,some main challenges the UHV projects encountered are discussed,and experiences obtained from the operation of UHV systems are introduced.It is concluded that China obtained mature experience in developing,constructing,and operating UHV systems and successfully realised long-distance,large-capacity power transmission,and the UHV power transmission technology has become an important measure for energy allocation in large areas. | Yinbiao Shu Weijiang Chen | 2018 | High Voltage2018,3,1: | 8 |
| 6 | An Elastic-plastic Adhesion Model for Contacting Fractal Rough Surface and Perfectly Wetted Plane with Meniscus显示文摘The strong stiction of adjacent surfaces with meniscus is a major design concern in the devices with a micro-sized interface.Today, more and more research works are devoted to understand the adhesion mechanism.This paper concerns the elastic-plastic adhesion of a fractal rough surface contacting with a perfectly wetted rigid plane.The topography of rough surface is modeled with a two-variable Weierstrass-Mandelbrot fractal function.The Laplace pressure is dealt with the Dugdale approximation.Then the adhesion model of the plastically deformed asperities with meniscus can be established with the fractal microcontact model.According to the plastic flow criterion, the elastic-plastic adhesion model of the contacting rough surfaces with meniscus can be solved by combining the Maugis-Dugdale(MD) model and its extension with the Morrow method.The necessity for considering the asperities' plastic deformation has been validated by comparing the simulation result of the presented model with that of the elastic adhesion model.The stiction mechanism of rough surfaces with meniscus is also discussed. | PENG Yunfeng GUO Yinbiao | 2009 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2009,22,1: | 6 |

The influence factors on motion principle and pat-tern structures are analyzed and optimization machining parameters are obtained. By calculating effective cutting lengthon the surface of workpiece cut by wheel's abrasive and the orbit of one point on the surface of workpiece contactingwith wheel, the wear coefficient of different kinds of wheels and accuracy coefficient of workpiece machined by corre-sponding wheels are obtained. | 10 | A Back-to-back VSC-HVDC System of Yu-E Power Transmission Lines to Improve Cross-region Capacity显示文摘With the rapid development of hydropower in the southwest of China, the energy transmitted by ultra high volt- age direct current (UHVDC) is ever increasing. At the same time, the power grid continues to expand westward, creating a service area. The stability of the Southwest China Power Grid is becoming a major issue. It is necessary to coordinate the development of hydropower and the construction of cross-region interconnections to optimize the grid structure. The Yu-E denotes the connection between the two region Yu (Chongqing) and E (Hubei) in China. The Yu-E project is a back-to-back voltage source converter based high voltage direct current (VSC-HVDC) project designed to realize an asynchronous connection of the Southwest and Central China Power Grids. The project will improve the bi-directional power support capability and optimize the grid structure. In addition, the Yu-E project will improve hydropower cross-region transmission capacity and enable the Southwest China Power Grid to utilize the power from the Three Gorges in the Central China Power Grid. In this paper, the fault isolation, low-frequency oscillation, sub-synchronous oscillation and short-circuit level are investigated and analyzed. Meanwhile, the impact of the Yu-E project on AC systems is studied in detail. In the end, the overall system design of the Yu-E project is introduced. The research results show that the Yu-E project can increase the transmission capability of the Southwest and Central China Power Grids, and enhance the stability of asynchronously interconnected AC systems. | 11 | ELASTIC-PLASTIC ADHESION MODEL FOR SINGLE ASPERICAL ASPERITY MICROCONTACT显示文摘The adhesion of single asperity contacting with a rigid flat is investigated. The microcontact model of the deformable asperity is established utilizing fractal geometry, which makes the resulted adhesion model to relate with the surface characteristics that the asperity belongs to. The Dugdale approximation is utilized to consider the adhesive interaction within and outside the contact area. Then the model for solving the elastic-plastic adhesion of single asperity is presented by combing the Maugis-Dugdale(MD) model. To illustrate the necessity of considerin8 the plastic deformation in microcontact, simulations of the relationship between the adhesive contact load and the interference of the asperity are performed.
