1Fracture characteristics of concrete subjected to impact loading显示文摘This paper takes concrete as a four-phase composite made of the intact matrix and three mutually perpendicular groups of penny-shaped micro-cracks. The intact matrix is assumed to be elastic,homogeneous and isotropic,and the micro-cracks are penny-shaped. Combined with the failure mechanism of concrete subjected to impact loading,a dynamic constitutive model for concrete is developed based on Mori-Tanaka's average stress concept and Eshelby's equivalent inclusion theory. Experimental results show that concrete is rate-dependent. The model predictions are in good agreement with the experimental results. 2EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION AND THERMODYNAMIC CALCULATION ON PHASE PRECIPITATION OF INCONEL 740显示文摘A novel nickel-based superalloy INCONEL 740 was under development for application in ultra-supercritical superheater tubers above 750℃. The precipitation behaviors of η phase and γ’ particles of the alloy were investigated through experimental study and phase computation. Experimental results showed that η phase formed a Widmanst?tten pattern structure following long-term exposure at elevated temperatures and that the coarsening of γ’ particle follows a cube rate law:r-3 ∝ t. Thermodynamic calculation results showed that Al and Ti had an important effect on the precipitation behavior of γ’ andη phases. Two suggested novel modified alloys, wherein the Al and Ti contents were modified, were designed and melted for the experimental study. The preliminary results indicated that the modified alloys exhibited higher structural stability following long-term exposure at 750℃ till 5000h.S.Q. 3Challenges and Solutions for the Additive Manufacturing of H) Biodegradable Magnesium Implants显示文摘Due to their capability of fabricating geometrically complex structures,additive manufacturing(AM)techniques have provided unprecedented opportunities to produce biodegradable metallic implants—especially using Mg alloys,which exhibit appropriate mechanical properties and outstanding biocompatibility.However,many challenges hinder the fabrication of AM-processed biodegradable Mg-based implants,such as the difficulty of Mg powder preparation,powder splash,and crack formation during the AM process.In the present work,the challenges of AM-processed Mg components are analyzed and solutions to these challenges are proposed.A novel Mg-based alloy(Mg-Nd-Zn-Zr alloy,JDBM)powder with a smooth surface and good roundness was first synthesized successfully,and the AM parameters for Mg-based alloys were optimized.Based on the optimized parameters,porous JDBM scaffolds with three different architectures(biomimetic,diamond,and gyroid)were then fabricated by selective laser melting(SLM),and their mechanical properties and degradation behavior were evaluated.Finally,the gyroid scaffolds with the best performance were selected for dicalcium phosphate dihydrate(DCPD)coating treatment,which greatly suppressed the degradation rate and increased the cytocompatibility,indicating a promising prospect for clinical application as bone tissue engineering scaffolds.Yinchuan Wang Penghuai Fu Nanqing Wang Liming Peng Bin Kang Hui Zeng Guangyin Yuan Wenjiang Ding 2020Engineering2020,6,11:10

5Analysis of Protoscoleces-specific Antigens from Echinococcus Granulosus with Proteomics Combined with Western Blot显示文摘Objective To establish and optimize the proteomic analysis of protoscoleces-specific antigens from Echinococcus granulosus. To provide a foundation for identifying specific antigens in the soluble proteins of E. granulosus protoscoleces for further research. Methods Brood capsules were collected aseptically from fertile E. granulosus cysts from the livers of an infected patient. The fertile E. granulosus cysts were fractured, and protoscoleces were collected by centrifugation. The soluble proteins of protoscoleces were acquired using the 2D Quant kit according to the manufacturer’s instructions. We employed two-dimensional electrophoresis (2-DE) combined with immunoblot assay (Western blot) to analyze the soluble components of E. granulosus protoscoleces antigens. The 2-DE and immunoblot maps obtained were analyzed with PDQuest 8.0 image analysis software. Results About 233 soluble protein spots were identified with Coomassie-stained gels. Most of the proteins had a molecular weight of 16 000 Da to 117 000 Da, and an isoelectric point value of 3.0 to 10.0. 2-DE immunoblot was conducted and 57 specific antigen spots were observed, among which 23 spots were identified. 6Surface characteristics of rapidly solidified nickel-based superalloy pow-ders prepared by PREP显示文摘The surface microstructure and the surface segregation of FGH95 nickel-based superalloy powders prepared through plasma rotating electrode processing (PREP) have been investigated by using SEM and AES. The results indicate that the surface microstructure of powders changes fiom dendrite into cellular structure as the particle size of powders decrease, and the predominant precipitates solidified on the particle surfaces were identified as MC' type carbides enriched with Nb and Ti. 7Archaeological study of ostrich eggshell beads collected from SDG site显示文摘Ostrich eggshell beads and fragments collected from SDG site reflect primordial art and a kind of symbolic behavior of modern humans. Based on stratigraphic data and OSL dating, these ostrich eggshell beads are probably in Early Holocene (< 10 ka BP). Two different prehistoric manufacturing pathways are usually used in the manufacture of ostrich eggshell beads in Upper Paleolithic. According to statistic analysis of the characteristics of ostrich eggshell beads, Pathway 1 is identified from these collections. In pathway 1, blanks are drilled prior to being trimmed to rough discs. They exhibit great potential for the study of the origin of primordial art and the development of ancient cultures and provide important data for studying behavioral options adopted by hominids in SDG area. 10Effects of the CNTF-collagen gel-controlled delivery system on rat neural stem/progenitor cells behavior显示文摘The injury of central nervous system (CNS) usually causes the cavity formation. Although transplantation of neural stem/precursor cells (NSPCs) into the lesioned area of CNS has been shown to be implicated in the functional restoration, the therapeutic result is limited by the poor survival of NSPCs as well as their insufficient proliferation and differentiation abilities. Type-1 collagen is considered as a candidate scaffold or drug delivery system to overcome the aforementioned obstacle. This study observed the effects of the CNTF (ciliary neurotrophic factor)-collagen gel-controlled delivery system and daily addition of soluble-form CNTF on the NSPC survival, migration, proliferation and differentiation. The results showed that, within 12 h of the initial co-culture, CNTF was released in a burst pattern, then the CNTF-collagen gel-controlled delivery system stably released CNTF for up to 12 d. The cell viability test, together with immunohistochemistry, RT-PCR and Western blotting, showed that the CNTF-collagen gel-controlled delivery system supported the NSPCs seeded on the surface of collagen gel survival and facilitated their migration and proliferation. The daily addition of soluble-form CNTF to the medium had similar effects to the CNTF-collagen gel-controlled delivery system, but large quantities of soluble-form CNTF were consumed during the entire process. Taken together, the CNTF-collagen gel-controlled delivery system not only provides a physical scaffold for the transplanted NSPCs to adhere and migrate, but also facilitates the NSPC survival, growth and proliferation, simultaneously reducing the consumption of the expensive growth factors. 19Effect of grain size on the mechanical properties of Mg foams显示文摘The grain size of Mg foams was innovatively refined without alteration of pore structure and relative density by subjecting multi-axial forging(MAF)process to Ti-Mg composite,an intermediary product of the fabrication process of Mg foams where the spherical Ti particles were utilized as the replication material.The feasibility of the MAF process and the grain size effect on the mechanical properties of Mg foams were discussed.The results showed that,with the appropriate strain of 0.24 applied in the MAF process,Ti-Mg composites returned to original physical appearance without generating microcracks.And complete recrystallization was achieved after heat treatment,with the grain size of the MAFprocessed Mg foams two to three orders of magnitude smaller than that of as-cast foam.The mechanical properties of Mg foams were enhanced extensively after grain refinement with the yield strength and the plastic collapse strength increased by 147%and 50.7%,respectively.A revised model integrated by the Hall-Petch law and Gibson-Ashby model was proposed,which gave a good estimation of the yield strength and the plastic collapse strength of Mg foams from the compressive behavior of the corresponding parent material,though a knockdown factor of 0.45 was introduced for the yield strength.Yinchuan Wang Hua Huang Gaozhi Jia Guizhou Ke Jian Zhang Guangyin Yuan 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,58,23:1
