1Early Paleozoic ridge subduction in the Chinese Altai: Insight from the abrupt change in zircon Hf isotopic compositions显示文摘Zircons were separated from granitoids, gneisses, and sedimentary rocks of the Chinese Altai. Those with igneous characteristics yielded U-Pb ages of 280-2800 Ma, recording a long history of magmatic activity in the region. Zircon Hf isotopic compositions show an abrupt change at ~420 Ma, indicating that prior to that time the magmas came from both ancient and juvenile sources, whereas younger magmas were derived mainly from juvenile material. This may imply that the lithosphere was signifi- cantly modified in composition by a rapid addition of melt from the mantle. 7The structural characteristics, age of origin, and tectonic attribute of the Erguna Fault, NE China显示文摘The Erguna Fault runs along the east bank of the Erguna River in NE China and is a large-scale ductile shear zone comprising granitic mylonites. This paper reports on the geometry, kinematic indicators, and 40Ar/39 Ar biotite ages of the granitic mylonites, to constrain the structural characteristics, forming age, and tectonic attribute of the Erguna ductile shear zone. The zone strikes NE and records a top-to-the-NW sense of shear. A mylonitic foliation and stretching lineation are well developed in the mylonites, which are classified as S-L tectonites. Logarithmic flinn parameters(1.18–2.35) indicate elongate strain which approximates to plane strain. Kinematic vorticity numbers are 0.42–0.92 and 0.48–0.94, based on the polar Mohr diagram and the oblique foliation in quartz ribbons, respectively, suggesting that the ductile shear zone formed under general shear, or a combination of simple and pure shear. According to finite strain and kinematic vorticity analyses, the Erguna Fault is a lengthening-thinning ductile shear zone that formed by extension. The deformation behavior of minerals in the mylonites indicates that the fault was the site of three stages of deformation: an initial stage of middle- to deep-level, high-temperature shear, a post-stress recovery phase of high-temperature static recrystallization, and a final phase of low-temperature uplift and cooling. The 40Ar/39 Ar plateau ages of biotite from the granitic mylonites are 106.16 ± 0.79 and 111.55 ± 0.67 Ma, which constrain the timing of low-temperature uplift and cooling but are younger than the ages of metamorphic core complexes(MCCs) in the Transbaikalia-northeast Mongolia region. Using measured geological sections, microtectonics, estimates of finite strain and kinematic vorticity, and regional correlations and geochronology, we conclude that the Erguna Fault is an Early Cretaceous, NNE-trending, large-scale, sub-horizontal, and extensional ductile shear zone. It shares a similar tectonic background with the MCCs, volcanic fault basins, and large and super-large volcanic-hydrothermal deposits in Transbaikalia-northeast Mongolia and the western Great Khingan Mountains, all of which are the result of overthickened crust that gravitationally collapsed and extended in the Early Cretaceous after plate collision along the present-day Sino-Russia-Mongolia border tract.ZHENG Han SUN XiaoMeng ZHU DeFeng TIAN JingXiong HE Song WANG YingDe ZHANG XuQing 2015Science China Earth Sciences2015,58,9:3
8SiC fiber with low electrical resistivity and oxygen content显示文摘A new SiC fiber was prepared by the pyrolysis of polycarbosilane(PCS) fiber cured with unsaturated hydrocarbons.The fiber,with oxygen content of 4-6 wt%,offers high tensile strength of 2.5-2.8 GPa.The electrical resistivity of the fiber is only about 0.5 Ω·cm,much lower than general SiC fiber obtained from traditional air curing process.Degradation of mechanical property in argon and air at high temperature is retarded by 200-300℃ with respect to the Nicalon NL-202 fiber.The low electrical resistivity of the fiber exhibits excellent thermal stability,it almost remains 0.4-0.8 Ω·cm after thermal exposure test from the room temperature to 1600℃ in argon.The low electrical resistivity mainly attribute to an excess carbon layer which is about 50 nm in the circular outer part.WANG DeYin,MAO XianHe,SONG YongCai & WANG YingDe State Key Lab of Novel Ceramic Fibers and Composites,National University of Defense Technology,Changsha 410073,China 2010Science China(Technological Sciences)2010,53,4:3
9Effect of defects in TiO2 nanoplates with exposed {001} facets on the gas sensing properties显示文摘The exposed crystal facet of TiO2 is a crucial factor influencing the gas sensing properties. TiO2 with high-energy{001}crystal facets that have higher surface energy and reactivity is expected to exhibit excellent gas-sensing properties. In this paper, TiO2 nanoplates with defective{001}facets were synthesized by chemical etching via one-step hydrothermal method. We carefully explored the gas-sensing performance of TiO2 nanoplates with defective and complete{001}facets towards acetone. The results show that the sensing response of TiO2 nanoplates with complete{001}facets is 70%higher than that of defective TiO2 nanoplates, which proves that the{001}facets plays a vital role in improving the gas sensing performance of TiO2. It is speculated that the poor gas sensitivity of defective TiO2 can be contributed to fewer adsorption sites and blocked electron transfer. 10High-temperature oxidation behavior of SiBN fibers in air显示文摘SiBN fibers are one of the most admirable microwave-transparent reinforced materials for high Mach number aircrafts.Currently,the detailed high-temperature oxidation behavior of SiBN fibers has not been studied yet.In this work,we studied the high-temperature oxidation behavior of SiBN fibers with different boron contents at the temperature range of 1000-1400℃in air.SiBN fibers started to be oxidized at 1100℃,with Si_(3)N_(4) and BN phase oxidized to SiO2 and B_(2)O_(3),respectively.Due to the gasification and the escape of molten B_(2)O_(3) at high temperatures,amorphous SiO_(2) could be remained at the fiber surface.As the fiber further oxidized,the molten B_(2)O_(3) at the inside may infiltrate into the fiber interior to react with Si_(3)N_(4),causing the precipitation of hexagonal boron nitride(h-BN)nanoparticles and the formation of SiO_(2)/BN layer.Finally,complex oxidation layers with two distinct concentric sublayers accompanied with two transition sublayers could be formed after the oxidizing treatment.Xin LONG Zhenyu WU Changwei SHAO Xiaozhou WANG Yingde WANG 2021Journal of Advanced Ceramics2021,10,4:2
