1First dark matter search results from the PandaX-Ⅰ experiment显示文摘We report on the first dark-matter(DM)search results from PandaX-I,a low threshold dual-phase xenon experiment operating at the China JinPing Underground Laboratory.In the 37-kg liquid xenon target with 17.4 live-days of exposure,no DM particle candidate event was found.This result sets a stringent limit for low-mass DM particles and disfavors the interpretation of previously-reported positive experimental results.The minimum upper limit,3.7×10-44cm2,for the spin-independent isoscalar DM-particle-nucleon scattering cross section is obtained at a DM-particle mass of 49 GeV/c2at 90%confidence level.XIAO MengJiao XIAO Xiang ZHAO Li CAO XiGuang CHEN Xun CHEN YunHua CUI XiangYi FANG DeQing FU ChangBo GIBONI Karl L. 2Metal Sealing Performance of Subsea X-tree Wellhead Connector Sealer显示文摘The metal sealing performance of subsea X-tree wellhead connectors is crucial for the safety and reliability of subsea X-trees. In order to establish the theoretical relation between metal sealing ring's contact stress and its structural parameters and working pressure, a mechanical analysis method for double-cone sealing of high pressure vessels is applied in analyzing the metal sealing ring under the condition of preload and operation. As a result, the formula of the unit sealing load for the metal sealing ring under operation with residual preload is shown in this paper, which ensures that the metal sealing ring has an excellent sealing effect and can prevent the metal sealing ring from yielding. Besides, while analyzing the sealing process of the metal sealing ring, the change rule of contact stress and working pressure is concluded here, putting forward that the structural parameters of the metal sealing ring are the major factors affecting the change rule. Finally, the analytical solution through theoretical analysis is compared with the simulation result through finite element analysis in a force feedback experiment, and both are consistent with each other, which fully verifies for the design and calculation theory on metal sealing ring's contact stress and its structural parameters and working pressure deduced in this paper. 4Aerodynamic performances and vehicle dynamic response of high-speed trains passing each other显示文摘Based on the aerodynamics and vehicle dynamics,the aerodynamic performances and vehicle dynamic characteristics of two high-speed trains passing each other on the ground,embankment and bridge are studied.Firstly,a train aerodynamic model and a vehicle dynamic model are established.Through the simulation of the two models,the pressure waves,aerodynamic forces,and vehicle dynamic responses are obtained.Then,the pressure waves and aerodynamic forces on different foundations are compared.The results show that the variation trends of pressure wave and aerodynamic forces of trains passing each other on different foundations are almost similar.The peak-to-peak differences in pressure wave and aerodynamic force are below 4% and 3% in three cases in open air.Besides,the differences of security indexes,including coefficient of derailment,wheel unloading rate,the wheelset lateral force,and the wheelrail vertical force,are below 2% among the three cases;the differences of comfort indexes,including the lateral acceleration and the vertical acceleration,are also below 2%.It is concluded that the dynamic performances of trains passing each other are influenced little by different foundations in open air.Yinghui ZHAO Jiye ZHANG Tian LI Weihua ZHANG 2012Journal of Modern Transportation2012,20,1:7
5Development of a GIS-based decision-support system of forest resource management显示文摘Based on forest inventory data and a variety of spatial data layers, including topographic maps, forest type maps, forest themes, etc., a multilevel decision-support system (DSS) for forest resource management was developed for Shangzhi National Forestry Bureau, Heilongjiang Province, China. This paper induced the procedure of the DSS development and its main functions, including displaying, cartography, dual-comprehensive querying of spatial and attribute data, GPS positioning, statistical analysis, updating resource data, etc. The applications of the DSS in resources analysis and management proved effective both in forestry bureau and forest farm levels. Traditional approaches of forest resource management were accordingly updated and the digitization of forest management was realized in deed for state-owned forest industries. 6Growth and wood properties of a 38-year-old Populus simonii 3 P.nigra plantation established with different densities in semi-arid areas of northeastern China显示文摘To characterize the effects of plantation densities on the growth characteristics(diameter at breast level,tree height and volume)and the common wood properties,38-year-old Populus simonii 9 P.nigra clones planted with four levels of spacing(2 m 92 m,3 m 93 m,4 m 94 m,and 5 m 95 m)in a semi-arid area in northeastern China were examined.The results of ANOVA showed significant differences(P\0.01)for all the investigated growth traits and wood properties under different plantation densities,except for the chemical composition of wood.The repeatability and phenotypic variations of all the traits varied from 0.34 to 0.99 and from 13.45 to 59.65%,respectively.Except for wood density,which was significantly negatively correlated with the growth traits,a positive correlation was observed between the growth traits and all the other wood mechanical properties.However,most of the correlations between the growth traits and the chemical composition of the wood were not significant.The path analysis for the wood mechanical characteristics and the growth in the prediction of volume were significant and ranged from 0.18 to 0.72 for wood density and diameter at breast height,respectively,while those for the chemical composition of wood ranged from 0.001 to 0.336,which showed a low impact on the volume.The highest stand volume(610 m3)per hectare was observed with the 2 m 92 m spacing,which consequently provided a high total price and income,while a high individual volume growth per tree was observed with the 5 m 95 m spacing.The results suggested that for the poplar trees younger than 40 years in a semi-arid area in China,2 m 92 m spacing is suitable for obtaining a high volume per hectare,while 5 m 95 m spacing is best for obtaining a high individual volume per tree.Ammar Khalil Mohamed Ahmed Zhixiang Fu Changjun Ding Luping Jiang Xidong Han Aiguo Yang Yinghui Ma Xiyang Zhao 2020Journal of Forestry Research2020,31,2:6
7Direct observation of epitaxial alignment of Au on M0S2 at atomic resolution显示文摘The morphology and structural stability of metal/2D semic on ductor interfaces strongly affect the performa nee of 2D electronic devices and synergistic catalysis. However, the structural evolution at the interfaces has not been well explored particularly at atomic resolution. In this work, we study the structural evoluti on of Au nan oparticles (NPs) on few-layer MoS2 by high resol utio n transmissi on electro n microscopy (HRTEM) an d quan titative high-angle annular dark field seanning TEM. It is found that in the transition of Au from nan oparticles to den drites, a dynamically epitaxial align ment betwee n Au and MoS2 lattices is formed, and Moirc patter ns can be directly observed in HRTEM images due to the mismatch between Au and M0S2 lattices. This epitaxial alignment can occur in ambient conditions, and can also be accelerated by the irradiation of high-energy electron beam. In situ observation clearly reveals the rotation of Au NPs, the atom migration inside Au NPs, and the transfer of Au atoms between neighboring Au NPs, finally leading to the formation of epitaxially aligned Au dendrites on M0S2. 8Variability of microphysical characteristics in the “21·7” Henan extremely heavy rainfall event显示文摘In this study, significant rainfall microphysical variability is revealed for the extremely heavy rainfall event over Henan Province in July 2021(the “21·7” Henan EHR event) using a dense network of disdrometers and two polarimetric radars.The broad distributions of specific drop size distribution(DSD) parameters are identified in heavy rainfall from the disdrometer observations, indicating obvious microphysical variability on the surface. A K-means clustering algorithm is adopted to objectively classify the disdrometer datasets into separate groups, and distinct DSD characteristics are found among these heavy rainfall groups. Combined with the supporting microphysical structures obtained through radar observations, comprehensive microphysical features of the DSD groups are derived. An extreme rainfall group is dominantly formed in the deep convection over the plain regions, where the high number of concentrations and large mean sizes of surface raindrops are underpinned by both active ice-phase processes and efficient warm-rain collision-coalescence processes in the vertical direction. Convection located near orographic regions is characterized by restricted ice-phase processes and high coalescence efficiency of liquid hydrometeors, causing the dominant DSD group to comprise negligible large raindrops. 9Nutrient Composition of Different Foxtail Millet Seeds显示文摘Ten millet cultivars from China and abroad were analyzed for their crude fat,amylose and amylopectin,crude protein and amino acid content. A wide variation was observed in amylopectin contain,ranging from 54. 47% to 69. 26%,while amylose content ranged from 11. 26% to 23. 22%. The average crude fat in all cultivates was 3. 46%,and most cultivates ranged from 3. 1% to 3. 7%. Protein contents ranged from 8. 61% to 15. 54% with a mean value of 11. 94%. For amino acid composition,the ten cultivates were particularly rich in leucine,and the mean was 34. 57 mg/g. The millet cultivars were also high in glycine,glutamic acid and cysteine. Millet was known to be limiting in the essential amino lysine,and the mean was 5. 18 mg/g. Other amino acids,tyrosine,histidine and arginine were also very low in the ten cultivars. 10Identification of a novel seed size associated locus SW9-1 in soybean显示文摘Seed size is one of the vital traits determining seed appearance, quality, and yield. Untangling the genetic mechanisms regulating soybean 100-seed weight (100-SW), seed length and seed width across environments may provide a theoretical basis for improving seed yield. However, there are few reports related to QTL mapping of 100-SW across multiple ecological regions. In this study, 21 loci associated with seed size traits were identified using a genome-wide association of 5361 single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) across three ecoregions in China, which could explain 8.12%–14.25% of the phenotypic variance respectively. A new locus, named as SW9-1 on chromosome 9 that explained 10.05%–10.93% of the seed weight variance was found significantly related to seed size traits, and was not previously reported. The selection effect analysis showed that SW9-1 locus has a relatively high phenotypic effect (13.67) on 100-SW, with a greater contribution by the accessions with bigger seeds (3.69) than the accessions with small seeds (1.66). Increases in seed weight were accompanied by increases in the frequency of SW9-1T allele, with >90% of the bred varieties with a 100-SW >30 g carrying SW9-1T. Analysis of SW9-1 allelic variation in additional soybean accessions showed that SW9-1T allele accounting for 13.83% of the wild accessions, while in 46.55% and 51.57% of the landraces and bred accessions, respectively, this results indicating that the SW9-1 locus has been subjected to artificial selection during the early stages of soybean breeding, especially the utilization of SW9-1T in edamame for big seed. These results suggest that SW9-1 is a novel and reliable locus associated with seed size traits, and might have an important implication for increasing soybean seed weight in molecular design breeding. 11GmCRY1s modulate gibberellin metabolism to regulate soybean shade avoidance in response to reduced blue light显示文摘Soybean is an important legume crop that displays the classic shade avoidance syndrome(SAS),including exaggerated stem elongation,which leads to lodging and yield reduction under density farming conditions.Here,we compared the effects of two shade signals,low red light to far-red light ratio(R:FR)and low blue light(LBL),on soybean status and revealed that LBL predominantly induces excessive stem elongation.We used CRISPR-Cas9-engineered Gmcry mutants to investigate the functions of seven cryptochromes(GmCRYs)in soybean and found that the four GmCRY1s overlap in mediating LBL-induced SAS.Lightactivated GmCRY1s increase the abundance of the bZlP transcription factors STF1 and STF2,which directly upregulate the expression of genes encoding GA2 oxidases to deactivate GA1 and repress stem elongation.Notably,GmCRY1b overexpression lines displayed multiple agronomic advantages over the wild-type control under both dense planting and intercropping conditions.Our study demonstrates the integration of GmCRY1-mediated signals with the GA metabolic pathway in the regulation of LBL-induced SAS in soybean.It also provides a promising option for breeding lodging-resistant,high-yield soybean cultivars in the future.Xiangguang Lyu Qican Cheng Chao Qin Yinghui Li Xinying Xu Ronghuan Ji Ruolan Mu Hongyu Li Tao Zhao Jun Liu Yonggang Zhou Haiyan Li Guodong Yang Qingshan Chen Bin Liu 2021Molecular Plant2021,14,2:4
12Individual-tree diameter growth model for Korean pine plantations based on optimized interpolation of meteorological variables显示文摘To explore the influence of meteorological variables on the growth of Korean pine(Pinus koraiensis Sieb.et Zucc.) plantations and provide a scientific reference for the production and management of Korean pine,three approaches to interpolate meteorological variables during the growing season(i.e.,May-September) were compared in Heilongjiang Province,China.Optimized meteorological variable interpolation results were then combined with stand and individual tree variables,based on data from 56 sample plots and 2886 sample trees from Korean pine plantations in two regions of the province to develop an individualtree diameter growth model(Model I) and an individualtree diameter growth model with meteorological variables(Model Ⅱ) using a stepwise regression method.Moreover,an individual-tree diameter growth model with regional effects(Model Ⅲ) was developed using dummy variables in the regression,and the significance of introducing these dummy variables was verified with an F-test statistical analysis.The models were validated using an independent data set,and the predictive performance of the three models was assessed via the adjusted coefficient of determination(R_(a)^(2)) and root mean square error(RMSE).The results suggest that the growth increment in tree diameter of Korean pine plantations was significantly correlated with the natural logarithm of initial diameter(ln D),stand basal area(BAS),logarithmic deformation of the stand density index(ln SDI),ratio of basal area of trees larger than the subject tree to their initial diameter at breast height(DBH)(BAL/D),and the maximum growingseason precipitation(Pgmax).The individual-tree diameter growth models of Korean pine plantations developed in this study will provide a good basis for estimating and predicting growth increments of Korean pine forests over larger areas.Man Wang Yinghui Zhao Zhen Zhen Xingji Jin 2021Journal of Forestry Research2021,32,4:3

14Effect of cerium on ignition point of AZ91D magnesium alloy显示文摘The surface and interior temperature-time curves of blocky cerium modified AZ91D magnesium alloy weremeasured during a non-protective heating and melting process. Two inflection points with rapid increase in temperaturewere found on both curves, which corresponded to the formation of 'auliflower' oxide on the surface and the occurrenceof flame during melting. These two temperatures are therefore defined as oxidation point and ignition point, respectively.The interior temperature-time curve is similar to that measured on the surface except for a comparable time delay. Theoxidation and ignition temperatures increase with Ce content, an average increase of 33℃ and 61℃ was found whenCe addition was about 1.0 wt %. However, the increasing rate of the oxidation and ignition temperature decreases withincreasing Ce content. 16Abatement of SO_2–NOx binary gas mixtures using a ferruginous active absorbent:Part I. Synergistic effects and mechanism显示文摘A novel ferruginous active absorbent, prepared by fly ash, industrial lime and the additive Fe(VI), was introduced for synchronous abatement of binary mixtures of SO2–NOx from simulated coal-fired flue gas. The synergistic action of various factors on the absorption of SO2 and NOx was investigated. The results show that a strong synergistic effect exists between Fe(VI) dose and reaction temperature for the desulfurization. It was observed that in the denitration process, the synergy of Fe(VI) dose and Ca/(S + N) had the most significant impact on the removal of NO, followed by the synergy of Fe(VI) and reaction temperature, and then the synergy of reaction temperature and flue gas humidity. A scanning electron microscope(SEM) and an accessory X-ray energy spectrometer(EDS)were used to observe the surface characteristics of the raw and spent absorbent as well as fly ash. A reaction mechanism was proposed based on chemical analysis of sulfur and nitrogen species concentrations in the spent absorbent. 17Increased prediction value of biomarker combinations for the conversion of mild cognitive impairment to Alzheimer's dementia显示文摘Background:Progression of mild cognitive impairment(MCI)to Alzheimer's disease(AD)dementia can be predicted by clinical features and a combination of biomarkers may increase the predictive power.In the present study,we investigated whether the combination of olfactory function and plasma neuronal-derived exosome(NDE)Aβ1-42 can best predict progression to AD dementia.Methods:Eighty-seven MCI patients were enrolled and received cognitive assessment at 2-year and 3-year follow-up to reevaluate cognition.In the meanwhile,80 healthy controls and 88 AD dementia patients were enrolled at baseline as well to evaluate the diagnose value in cross-section.Olfactory function was evaluated with the sniffin sticks(SS-16)and Aβ142 levels in NDES were determined by ELISA.Logistic regression was performed to evaluate the risk factors for cognitive decline in MCI at 2-year and 3-year revisits.Results:In the cross cohort,lower SS-16 scores and higher AB142 levels in NDES were found in MCI and AD dementia compared to healthy controls.For the longitudinal set,8 MCI individuals developed AD dementia within 2 years,and 16 MCI individuals developed AD dementia within 3 years.The two-parameter combination of SS-16 scores and Aβ1-42 level in NDEs showed better prediction in the conversion of MCI to AD dementia at 2-year and 3-year revisits.Moreover,after a 3-year follow-up,SS-16 scores also significantly predicted the conversion to AD dementia,where lower scores were associated with a 10-fold increased risk of developing AD dementia(p=0.006).Similarly,higher AB1-42 levels in NDES in patients with MCI increased the risk of developing AD dementia by 8.5-fold(p=0.002).Conclusion:A combination of two biomarkers NDE AB1-42 and SS-16 predicted the conversion of MCI to AD dementia more accurately.These findings have critical implications for understanding the pathophysiology of AD dementia and for developing preventative treatments for cognitive decline.Aonan Zhao Yuanyuan Li Yi Yan Yinghui Qiu Binyin Li Wei Xu Ying Wang Jun Liu Yulei Deng 2020Translational Neurodegeneration2020,9,3:2
