| 1 | Review on active thermal protection and its heat transfer for airbreathing hypersonic vehicles显示文摘Hypersonic vehicles with turbojet, ramjet, and scramjet engines are expected to be widely applied to future transportation systems. Due to high-speed flight in the atmosphere, body outer surfaces suffer strong aerodynamic heating, and on the other hand, combustion chamber inter walls are under extremely high temperature and heat flux. Therefore, more efficient and stable active cooling technologies are required in hypersonic vehicles, such as regenerative cooling, film cooling, and transpiration cooling, as well as their combinations. This paper presents a comprehensive literature review on three active cooling methods, i.e., regenerative cooling, film cooling, and transpiration cooling, and deeply analyzes the mechanism of each cooling method, including the fluids flow, heat transfer, and thermal cracking characteristics of different hydrocarbon fuels in regenerative cooling,the heat transfer and flow mechanism of film cooling under supersonic mainstream conditions, and the heat transfer and flow mechanism of transpiration cooling. | Yinhai ZHU Wei PENG Ruina XU Peixue JIANG | 2018 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2018,31,10: | 35 |
| 2 | Influence of shock wave impinging region on supersonic film cooling显示文摘Shock waves can significantly affect the film cooling for supersonic flow and shock waves may have different influence when impinging in different regions.The present study numerically compared the results of shock wave impinging in three different regions and analyzed the effect of impinging region.The shock wave generators were located at x/s=5,25,45 with 4°,7°and 10°shock wave incidence.The mainstream Mach number was 3.2 and the coolant Mach number was 1.2 or 1.5.The numerical results illustrated that the shock wave impinged in the further upstream region led to a larger high-pressure region and a larger vortex in the boundary layer.Moreover,placing the shock wave generator upstream resulted in the lower mass fraction of coolant in the downstream region.The velocity in the upstream part of the cooling layer was lower than the midstream and downstream part,which resulted in the less ability to resist the shock wave impingement.Therefore,the upstream impingement deteriorated the cooling performance to a greater extent.The study also manifested that the stronger shock wave had a larger effect on supersonic film cooling.Increasing the coolant inlet Mach number can increase the blowing ratio and reduce the mixing,which was of benefit to improve cooling effect. | Xiaokai SUN Hang NI Wei PENG Peixue JIANG Yinhai ZHU | 2021 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2021,34,5: | 5 |

| 4 | Cycle-by-Cycle Queue Length Estimation for Signalized Intersections Using Multi-Source Data显示文摘In order to estimate vehicular queue length at signalized intersections accurately and overcome the shortcomings and restrictions of existing studies especially those based on shockwave theory,a new methodology is presented for estimating vehicular queue length using data from both point detectors and probe vehicles. The methodology applies the shockwave theory to model queue evolution over time and space. Using probe vehicle locations and times as well as point detector measured traffic states,analytical formulations for calculating the maximum and minimum( residual) queue length are developed. The proposed methodology is verified using ground truth data collected from numerical experiments conducted in Shanghai,China. It is found that the methodology has a mean absolute percentage error of 17. 09%,which is reasonably effective in estimating the queue length at traffic signalized intersections.
