1Clinical effects of innovative tuina manipulations on treating cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type and changes in cerebral blood flow显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To determine the clinical effect,treatment times,and rheoencephalogram changes in vertebral artery type cervical spondylosis patients treated with innovative Tuina manipulations.METHODS:One hundred and twenty six cervical spondylosis patients(vertebral artery type) were randomly divided into test and control groups.Patients in the test group were treated with innovative Tuina manipulations,while those in the control group were treated with the routine Tuina manipulations according to the textbook of Chinese Massage for Acupuncture and Moxibustion majors.The clinical effects,treatment times,clinical symptoms,and cerebral blood flow were measured.RESULTS:The response to the treatment was 100% in the test group and 88.71% in the control group.Patients in the test group required(7 ± 4) treatments before recovery,while those in the control group required(15 ± 7) treatments before recovery(P<0.05).The clinical symptoms exhibited greater improvement in the test group compared to the control group(P<0.05).There were no differences in cerebral blood flow between the two groups.CONCLUSION:Both innovative Tuina manipulations and routine Tuina manipulations produced satisfactory therapeutic results in vertebral artery type cervical spondylosis patients.However,the innovative manipulation was more effective in improving the functional symptoms,although there were no changes in the cerebral blood flow.Quanmao Ding Mingru Yan Ji Zhou Lu Yang Jiang Guo Jun Wang Zhiyong Shi Yixi Wang Hongsheng Zhao 2012Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2012,32,3:24

3X-ray-charged bright persistent luminescence in NaYF_(4):Ln^(3+)@NaYF_(4) nanoparticles for multidimensional optical information storage显示文摘NaYF_(4):Ln^(3+),due to its outstanding upconversion characteristics,has become one of the most important luminescent nanomaterials in biological imaging,optical information storage,and anticounterfeiting applications.However,the large specific surface area of NaYF_(4):Ln^(3+)nanoparticles generally leads to serious nonradiative transitions,which may greatly hinder the discovery of new optical functionality with promising applications.In this paper,we report that monodispersed nanoscale NaYF_(4):Ln^(3+),unexpectedly,can also be an excellent persistent luminescent(PersL)material.The NaYF_(4):Ln^(3+)nanoparticles with surface-passivated core–shell structures exhibit intense X-ray-charged PersL and narrow-band emissions tunable from 480 to 1060 nm.A mechanism for PersL in NaYF_(4):Ln^(3+)is proposed by means of thermoluminescence measurements and host-referred binding energy(HRBE)scheme,which suggests that some lanthanide ions(such as Tb)may also act as effective electron traps to achieve intense PersL.The uniform and spherical NaYF_(4):Ln^(3+)nanoparticles are dispersible in solvents,thus enabling many applications that are not accessible for traditional PersL phosphors.A new 3-dimensional(2 dimensions of planar space and 1 dimension of wavelength)optical information-storage application is demonstrated by inkjet-printing multicolor PersL nanoparticles.The multicolor persistent luminescence,as an emerging and promising emissive mode in NaYF_(4):Ln^(3+),will provide great opportunities for nanomaterials to be applied to a wider range of fields.Yixi Zhuang Dunrong Chen Wenjing Chen Wenxing Zhang Xin Su Renren Deng Zhongfu An Hongmin Chen Rong-Jun Xie 2021Light(Science & Applications)2021,10,7:12
4Force-induced charge carrier storage:a new route for stress recording显示文摘Stress sensing is the basis of human-machine interface,biomedical engineering,and mechanical structure detection systems.Stress sensing based on mechanoluminescence(ML)shows significant advantages of distributed detection and remote response to mechanical stimuli and is thus expected to be a key technology of next-generation tactile sensors and stress recorders.However,the instantaneous photon emission in ML materials generally requires real-time recording with a photodetector,thus limiting their application fields to real-time stress sensing.In this paper,we report a force-induced charge carrier storage(FICS)effect in deep-trap ML materials,which enables storage of the applied mechanical energy in deep traps and then release of the stored energy as photon emission under thermal stimulation.The FICS effect was confirmed in five ML materials with piezoelectric structures,efficient emission centres and deep trap distributions,and its mechanism was investigated through detailed spectroscopic characterizations.Furthermore,we demonstrated three applications of the FICS effect in electronic signature recording,falling point monitoring and vehicle collision recording,which exhibited outstanding advantages of distributed recording,longterm storage,and no need for a continuous power supply.The FICS effect reported in this paper provides not only a breakthrough for ML materials in the field of stress recording but also a new idea for developing mechanical energy storage and conversion systems.Yixi Zhuang Dong Tu Changjian Chen Le Wang Hongwu Zhang Hao Xue Conghui Yuan Guorong Chen Caofeng Pan Lizong Dai Rong-Jun Xie 2020Light(Science & Applications)2020,9,1:10
5Experimental Determination of Significant Waveheight by OSMAR071: Comparison with Results from Buoy显示文摘OSMAR071 is the latest product of the OSMAR (ocean state monitor and analysis radar) series of high frequency surface wave radar (HFSWR), which was developed by the Radiowave Propagation Laboratory of Wuhan University. It adopts a modified Barrick waveheight inversion model. The modifications are introduced to improve the model's performances under the effect of noises and interferences and in the case of broad beam radar detection. The two unknown coefficients in the modified model are figured out by fitting the HFSWR significant waveheight results to those output from a wave buoy located in the radiating coverage of the radar site. The model is applied to inverse the waveheights from radar data for the duration from Dec. 1st, 2008 to Feb. 25th, 2009, and then the radar waveheights are compared with the buoy measurements. Results show that the rms difference between radar-derived significant waveheights and those from the buoy is 0.38 m and the correlation coefficient between the two series is 0.66. 6Facile preparation of low swelling,high strength,self-healing and pH-responsive hydrogels based on the triple-network structure显示文摘A polyacrylic acid(PAA)/gelatin(Gela)/polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)hydrogel was prepared by copolymerization,cooling,and freezing/thawing methods.This triplenetwork(TN)structure hydrogel displayed superior mechanical properties,low swelling ratio and self-healing properties,The superior mechanical properties are attributed to the triple helix association of Gela and PVA crystallites by reversible hydrogen bonding.The characterization results indicated that the fracture stress and the strain were 808 kPa and 370% respectively,while the compression strength could reach 4443 kPa and the compressive modulus was up to 39 MPa under the deformation of 90%.The hydrogen bonding in PVA contributed to maintain and improve the self-healing ability of hydrogels.Every type of hydrogels exhibited a higher swelling ratio under alkaline conditions,and the swelling ratios of PAA,PAA/PVA and PAA/Gela hydrogels were 27.71,12.30 and 9.09,respectively.The PAA/Gela/PVA TN hydrogel showed the lowest swelling ratio(6.57)among these hydrogels.These results indicate that the novel TN hydrogels possess good environmental adaptability and have potential applications in the biomedical engineering and sensor field.Zhicun WANG Xiaoman HAN Yixi WANG Kenan MEN Lin CUI Jianning WU Guihua MENG Zhiyong LIU Xuhong GUO 2019Frontiers of Materials Science2019,13,1:4
7Enabling robust and hour-level organic long persistent luminescence from carbon dots by covalent fixation显示文摘The first carbon dot(CD)-based organic long persistent luminescence(OLPL)system exhibiting more than 1 h of duration was developed.In contrast to the established OLPL systems,herein,the reported CDs-based system(named m-CDs@CA)can be facilely and effectively fabricated using a household microwave oven,and more impressively,its LPL can be observed under ambient conditions and even in aqueous media.XRD and TEM characterizations,afterglow decay,time-resolved spectroscopy,and ESR analysis were performed,showing the successful composition of CDs and.CA,the formation of exciplexes and long-lived charged-separated states.Further studies suggest that the production of covalent bonds between CA and CDs plays pivotal roles in activating LPL and preventing its quenching from oxygen and water.To the best of our knowledge,this is a very rare example of an OLPL system that exhibits hourlevel afterglow under ambient conditions.Finally,applications of m-CDs@C.A in glow-in-the-dark paints for emergency signs and multicolored luminous pearls were preliminarily demonstrated.This work may provide new insights for the development of rare earth-free and robust OLPL materials.Kai Jiang Yuci Wang Cunjian Lin Licheng Zheng Jiaren Du Yixi Zhuang Rongjun Xie Zhongjun Li Hengwei Lin 2022Light(Science & Applications)2022,11,4:3
8The potential value of microRNA-4463 in the prognosis evaluation in hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘The purpose of this study is to measure the expression of microRNA-4463 and microRNA-6087 between normal persons and patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC),and to clarify the meaning of them in the prognosis evaluation in HCC.Forty-five samples from healthy people and patients,who had been diagnosed with hepatocellular carcinoma before any treatment,were collected to study respectively.Real-time PCR was used to detect the expression of miRNA-4463 and miRNA-6087 in the serum of control group and hepatocellular carcinoma patients.The expression of miR-4463 in the serum of HCC patients was significantly higher than that in control group(P<0.05),and the expression level was independent of gender,tumor size,cell types,stages,alanine aminotransferase(ALT),aspartate aminotransferase(AST),total bilirubin(TBIL)and HBsAg status(P>0.05).But there was a significant difference of different level of AFP in HCC(P<0.05),and the difference between the group of AFP lower than 400 ug/l and the control group is statistically significant(P<0.05).Besides,the survival time had showed a significant difference at the high and low expression levels(P<0.05).But the expression level of miRNA-6087 was no difference in HCC and control group.The disorder of miRNA-4463 occurred in HCC,even the AFP level doesn’t rises.What’s more,patients who get the high level of miRNA-4463 seem to have a shorter survival time.And it contributes great to the prognostic evaluation.This is the first study to illustrate the potential significance of miRNA-4463 in the prognosis in HCC.Tian Hu Jincheng Li Chuhong Zhang Xiu lv Sai Li Sha He Hanxing Yan Yixi Tan Mingsheng Lei Meiling Wen Jianhong Zuo 2017Genes & Diseases2017,4,2:3
9Oscillation of Surface PM2.5 Concentration Resulting from an Alternation of Easterly and Southerly Winds in Beijing: Mechanisms and Implications显示文摘We used simultaneous measurements of surface PM_(2.5) concentration and vertical profiles of aerosol concentration,temperature, and humidity, together with regional air quality model simulations, to study an episode of aerosol pollution in Beijing from 15 to 19 November 2016. The potential effects of easterly and southerly winds on the surface concentrations and vertical profiles of the PM_(2.5) pollution were investigated. Favorable easterly winds produced strong upward motion and were able to transport the PM_(2.5) pollution at the surface to the upper levels of the atmosphere. The amount of surface PM_(2.5) pollution transported by the easterly winds was determined by the strength and height of the upward motion produced by the easterly winds and the initial height of the upward wind. A greater amount of PM_(2.5) pollution was transported to upper levels of the atmosphere by upward winds with a lower initial height. The pollutants were diluted by easterly winds from clean ocean air masses. The inversion layer was destroyed by the easterly winds and the surface pollutants and warm air masses were then lifted to the upper levels of the atmosphere, where they re-established a multi-layer inversion. This region of inversion was strengthened by the southerly winds, increasing the severity of pollution. A vortex was produced by southerly winds that led to the convergence of air along the Taihang Mountains. Pollutants were transported from southern–central Hebei Province to Beijing in the boundary layer. Warm advection associated with the southerly winds intensified the inversion produced by the easterly winds and a more stable boundary layer was formed. The layer with high PM_(2.5) concentration became dee-per with persistent southerly winds of a certain depth. 14Efficient thrust generation in robotic fish caudal fins using policy search显示文摘Thrust generation is a crucial aspect of fish locomotion that depends on a variety of morphological and kinematic parameters.In this work,the kinematics of caudal fin motion of a robotic fish are optimised experimentally.The robotic fish actuates its caudal fin with flapping and rotation motion,and also measures the fin hydrodynamic force and torque.Total nine designs of the caudal fins are investigated,with three different shapes(or inclination angles)and three stiffness.The optimisation is based on a policy search(PS)algorithm,which is used to maximise the thrust-generation efficiency of the caudal fins.The authors first parametrise fin spanwise-rotation as a sinusoidal function using rotation amplitude and phase delay and test whether it is beneficial to thrust-generation efficiency.The result shows that the rotation does not contribute to the efficiency,as the efficiency is maximised at zero amplitude.Next,the authors optimise flapping amplitude and trajectory profile without fin rotation.Results show that smaller flapping amplitude results in higher efficiency and linear flapping trajectories are preferred over sinusoidal ones.Fins that have the highest flexibility are more efficient in thrust generation although they generate less thrust,while an inclination angle of 30°yields the most efficient fin shape.Yixi Shan Yagiz EBayiz Bo Cheng 2019IET Cyber-Systems and Robotics2019,1,1:2
15Analysis on the Impacts of Straw Burning on Air Quality in Beijing -Tianjing - Hebei Region显示文摘The beginning of October is the high occurrence period of straw burning in North China and Jianghuai region. Heavy pollution weather caused by straw burning often takes place in recent two years,and thus human factor increases the unpredictability of the air quality forecast. In the early autumn of 2015,a continuous fog-haze weather and heavy air pollution event occurred in North China and Jianghuai region due to the straw burning. In this paper,the effect of straw burning on air quality under the same adverse diffusive meteorological conditions has been analyzed by using the ground and upper air meteorological observation data and air quality monitoring data of Environmental Protection Agency in recent two years. The comparison results show that the basic conditions of heavy pollution are weak wind and the unfavorable diffusion situation.
